chio: New york is kind of Lagos packing space na wahala
i went out with my host on sat to the Gym wen we finished he said he thot that day was a sunday that we may have been givena ticket (Fine) for
packing there like $70.
We ought to have gone to a machine nearby paid somemoney into it get the receipt which is only for either one hour or 2hours and put on ur
dashboard so dat wen those offciers are passing they wount book u for about $70.And wen ur ticket expires (Mind u the Ticket lasts for either 1hr or 2hr)so wen 1hours expires and u are nt done u get anoda ticket
u wount even pay the fine there u may to go to their office or pay online.
Well we thank God we were nt booked. i saw someone pack went to pay for packing and put the receipt on the dashboard.
just slot ur machine on the machine nd it brings our ur receipt dats all nobody there to sell receipt.

We also went to buy fuel no attendant there just insert ur debit card take the nozzle and fill ur tank ur self.
If u want to pay by cash go in and pay to the attendant den come and fill ur tank.
New york here i come
Hmmmmmmmm. Hw's NYC as per job opportunities and taxes?

justwise: Here we go again...how does this make me untrustworthy?
The way you are going about it is very unlike you. Just like Ernestleon said, alot of people here respect you so much. It was unequivocal that the VO made an erroneous comment. Trying to analyse it wasn't yielding any result, by so doing, it's robbing you of standards. Anyway, it's all over, we have moved ahead. Happy Sunday all!

ernestleon: OOOOO My Mr Just wise, once upon a time I used have huge respect for you, I used read any thread created by Justwise.Where is your wisdom? Please read the underlined will be.In English Language it's called future tense.WILL BE means certainty. Now let's assume the statement was for the present, do you mean that they will say Ok Nigeria you have reached the limit in September 13 so if you have interview with us please don't come.
justwise: What he declared and at the time he declared it is the fact. There is nothing misleading there, he said: under current rules, meaning that if the rule changes tomorrow the case will be different
justwise: You are the one lying here, he did not make his statement for the future, he said: under current rules that Nigeria is eligible.
justwise: He made that statement in August 2013 hence the statement: 'under current rules' maybe previous rule was replaced by the current rule
ernestleon: That's a lie,he made his statement for the future not for the present.
justwise: He made that statement in August 2013 hence the statement: 'under current rules' maybe previous rule was replaced by the current rule
Why not allow the VisaOfficer to defend himself. From the foregoing, it is clear that no one is buying your excuses. It also makes you untrustworthy (abi someone has compromised Justwise account?) But people, please note he (VisaOfficer) may have made a wrong judgement, that doesn't make him any less a VO and his judgements nor comments even advises altogether wrong or scam. The important thing now is that we've all gotten the fact and from the right source.

Please answer this question for me:

I am the principal applicant (winner), I know that I have to notarize (attest) my educational degrees, so the question is that is it also required to attest my spouse's educational degrees ?
Do you mean notary public?

justwise: Unfortunately for you i will tell you how to share it as long as this section is concerned.
ernestleon: Did you see any of my contacts? And moreover if I intend to share any info who are you to decide how to share it? Or do you prefer I share infos that doesn't relate to the dv 2014 program on the thread? There was a purpose for the Nairaland pm system and I used the system without breaking an rule. And a question for you=will you share the phone number of your wife, fiance here on this thread when you can send it through PM? Read my posts again and you i'll see I did nothing wrong.
justwise: Unfortunately for you i will tell you how to share it as long as this section is concerned.
Please Oga Justwise, take it easy on Ernestleon, he was trying to help. Initially, he said it was a family member, I don't think he could have shared the contact here. In any case, Oga Ernestleon, take it easy as well. He has the rights to do what he has done as a moderator. Mistakes are inevitable at times. America noni: you can get your passport, you have to wait for second NL before medical and maybe police report
Zeleez: For me am waitin til i recieve my 2nl b4 i go for Intl passport, medical n police report i wil advise u to get order educational certificate ready n wait til u reciev 2nl like police report Intl pasport is done witin two day only medical i tink dat last for abt two
America noni: you can get your passport, you have to wait for second NL before medical and maybe police report
Well for me I would also go with Zeelez option, instead if rushing into it and later looking for ways to correct errors thereby spending more.

kennex89: thanks for your reply. this is the case number (2014AF000083**) and also i am a university graduate i read English language and i am a teacher and she is an NCE holder of social studies and yoruba and she is also a school teacher and i will like to know if we are good to go with this stand and with the case number when will be our interview time because we have sent our forms to kcc since july. thanks.
From your CN, I will predict December, based on the trend of previous bulletins http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html . And for educational qualification, you guys are good to go, if that's what you have. But note it is the principal applicant and not their derivatives.

kennex89: Hello house, I have been following this forum and i will like to thank everyone for there unflinching support to this forum it is really helping us that are new to the dv lottery stuff. well, My wife played the dv lottery some years before we got married that was in 2012 and we decided to get married through marriage registry on the 6th of april at the registry and to our utmost surprise when the result was released on the 1st of may, she won the dv lottery and we were advised by my cousin that she could fill my details as husband and send to kcc which we did and we have been following it, our case number fall around AF.........833.... and we were informed by a reliable source that our interview will be coming up in Nov but when i checked the monthly bulletin for the month, they stopped at 7500 just so down. Please i will need help on the house to know what are we expected to do now that we got married before the dv result was released what are our chances and also when do you think we can be invited for the interview and what documents are we expected to arrange for chances.

Please i will need your reply as it will help us to make preparations.

thanks.
I don't understand your CN. As for marriage after entering for the lottery, it is not an issue at all. Your wife being The principal diversity visa applicant must have a high school education, or its equivalent, or two years of qualifying work experience, under provisions of United States (U.S.) law. This was explained in the DV Instructions for your eDV entry.

High School Education: A high school education means successful completion of a formal course of elementary and secondary education comparable to completion of a 12-year course in the U.S.

Work Experience: If you are qualifying with work experience, you must have two years of experience in the last five years, in an occupation which, by U.S. Department of Labor definitions, requires at least two years of training or experience that is designated as Job Zone 4 or 5, classified in a Specific Vocational Preparation (SVP) rating of 7.0 or higher. The U.S. Department of Labor provides information on job duties, knowledge and skills, education and training, and other occupational characteristics at their website http://online.onetcenter.org/. The O*Net online database groups work experience into five "job zones." While many occupations are listed, only certain specified occupations qualify for the Diversity Visa Program. source: http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4756.html
Once this is established, you guys are good to go.

timimoyegun: Studying the pace of the bulletin,we might be current for FEB and interviewed in March,
Not to worry, we're on the line 20140001214*. Let's keep praying
Is it not the month when one is current that one has the interview? I think you are mixing it up here timimoyegun. Please house correct me if I'm wrong. The date of your interview could be shifted by the Embassy and they will contact you of the changes. I know of some forumites in DV2013, whose interview were shifted due to one reason or the other.

odewenwa: Good day house thanks for all your comments they have proved so helpful pls I am one of the lucky winners of DV 2014 and I am currently pregnant pls what steps am I to take concerning the pregnancy am I to fill a form to inform KCC esp during d interview at the embassy since I dint write it in my forms that I am pregnant. then pls when am I current? My number is 60** thanks a bunch awaiting a favourable response.
Well I would say it depends on your EDD. But I would say just carry on with your normal life until you deliver. From your CN, you are current for November and it's close. If you deliver before then, you may contact KCC of the development, but if otherwise, you would have to go for your interview like that and wait for decision of the CO.

TCPonly: So,nobody has recieved 2NL in nigeria? It surprises me b/cos i m current in oct.
It surprises me as well. But they say, 2NL comes at least 4-6 weeks before interview. Going by that, those current may get their 2NL maybe latest next week. But the good thing is that a forumite --ernestleon-- has received his since around 2nd week of August. He even uploaded it here on this thread. His interview is 1st of October in Italy. So let's be patient.

Africa is 13000 while Nigeria is 7500 or so. Not so sure cos I was just interested in my own number on the day I called. But the numbers will be published as usual between 10-15th Sept.
You are very right. Nigeria 7500 for November. It's out.

candytos: My testimony continue: with God n advise from members n reading past postings on this thread we prepared n were able to also cut cost for our dv interview.
This morning wife n I prayed n made positive confessions from a wonderful book by Rev Adetutu Coker " I am destined to win, we prepared and packed our docs for the interview. We also took the holy communion as a family n left home at 5.30am n got to embassy with our kids at 6.30am. Therewas alreadya long queue, we joined n went thro all security. We paid and presented our docs to a Nige Nigerian lady we were told to sit n wait for our number to be called. The hall was jammed with ppl both immigrants n non immigrants, with some standing, not enof seats. I started praying in tongues n thanking God for our visas but my kids were tired of the whole thing n wanted to go home. At 9.15am over 1.5hrs of waiting we were called to window 17 with a young ruddy white American. We exchanged pleasantries n he showed us our forms n told us to sign, which we did.
CO: swear to say the truth
Me n wife: swore
CO: highest qualification
Me: told him
Co: line of work in relation to degree
Me: told him
Co: asked for family pix
Me: showed him
Co: saw honeymoon pix asked location
Me: Ghana
CO: like to visit Ghana
Me: nice place
CO: asked abt some pix on earlier visits to US
Wife: Responded n we all laffed
Then CO typed for about 5mins n returned all original docs keeping us in suspense, finally said congratulations n welcome to America n gave two pcs of paper for PP collection n UCIS payment. This is God's doing from beginning to d end may His holy name be praised forever in all our lives IJN amen.
I pray outstanding success n divine favor for all members of this forum awaiting their interview success is theirs IJMN amen. Baba God noni.
(Sorry for the length but have to do it to testify of God's faithfulness n goodness. Thanks)
