Yusmash00: Oh bloody shit! Thank God you are alive. You have to contact the embassy ASAP and let us know their feedback. I really pity you. This is a big lesson for everyone on this forum and still in Nigeria. We have advise ourselves long time ago on this forum that after you collect your documents and passport, you can deposit it at the bank for safety reasons. I don't know how that works. Me after i collect my document, I kept it under the bed of someone i really trust which is over 80miles to my house. He knew about it. You don't have to tell everybody you won a visa lottery. When i won, I only told my mom, my brother and the person who kept the document for me. Just three people. I live together with my friends. I told none of them, we played the lottery together and i was the only one that won. For more than a year, I kept it a secret. I told my GF of 3yrs about it after i got my ticket and traveling in two weeks. Is not that i don't trust her. Its just better to be on the safer side. I told only a friend a day to my departure date. Only my GF & my brother escort me to the airport. NOW IM HERE. #TEAMNONOISE. I doubt those robber's came for money. They came for the documents. Someone don't want you to travel. I just hope the embassy can help you. GOODLUCK.Wow. Men I like this guy. You are so reserved in that. And you were able to keep it and control it and contain it. Hmm, are you British ni? 'Oh bloody poo' And for the guy, he should contact embassy ASAP, or can contact the Visa Officer for swift response here: https://www.nairaland.com/1359935/u.s-consular-officer-ask-me |
Boomshakar: PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS FOR THE HOUSE.Ameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! House, as part of my contribution to the scheduled F&P from 27th through 30th, I thought it wise that we should have prayer points, below is what I could put together. 1) We shall pray first of all thanking God for making us to be the selected ones amongst the multitude that applied initially. 2) We shall pray for ourselves as an individual and as a group (nairaland) that: i) Divine health shall be our portion forthwith. ii) Wisdom, knowledge and understanding will increase in us. iii) Mistakes is far from us, we would do the right thing the first time. 3) We shall declare that all documents and credentials needed to process the visa be readily available for us as at when needed. 4) We shall declare that any office we go to; whether be NPC, WAEC, Court, Hospital, Police, Schools, Place of work; every door is opened to us, every request is granted and everything we seek we find. Also that the people we meet their shall fall over themselves to favour us. 5) we shall declare that money shall come to us by free course unhindered during this period as we need funds to process the visa from start till we immigrate. 6) We shall declare that favour will follow us on the day of our interviews right from our abode that morning till Walter Carrington crescent into the Embassy and especially to the CO. Once they see us, they will see the glory of God clothed around us and will have no course to deny us and even make mistakes that would be detrimental to our visas. 7) We shall pray and declare that henceforth, only goodness and mercies are permitted to follow us all through. That the eyes of the wicked shall never behold us. Please house if you agree to this, just click the like button. Suggestions, comments and contributions are allowed. I have been so busy that I couldn't really arrange it day by day. |
VisaOfficer: Greetings!I think this would be a easy ride if all necessary documents are available. And like you will always say, The burden of proof is on the person being interviewed to convince the officer at the ACS to get a feel for how the case should be investigated. |

timimoyegun: Friend, I'll advise you not leave your current job till after your visa is approvedI don't think it's right. Life must go on whether DV lottery or not. just explain to the VO that u left your previous job and now a freelancer. That is what I believe. |
Freshie: Congratulations to all those who've been granted visas recently. I believe God that the rest of us who will be interviewed this week will be granted in Jesus' name.Congrats. Just few weeks to d end of the DV2013 fiscal year. I'm happy for you. Same me well to wify and son. |
4C2215131: A large % of them if not all do not have the slightest clue to the powerful functions of the phone save pinging and media and even at that they can't avail themselves of the improvement in the media packages the device offers.Which are ... |
icare007: Amen... tnxkk |
olivialuv: I used my first name for my wife (osayomore mabel ) while mine -s agbonbs osayomoreBros no problems here o. It's ok, as long as you qualify either educationally or by job. |
hammerh: My case number is 000039,, I have just called KCC and I was told that my interview is for Dec 17th.December? But you are suppose to be current in October, and interview not later than November. People, what's happening? This stuff is getting confusing. |
icare007: Happy to be here on this forum, i just want to thank God Almighty for his favour during my interview, also to thank this wonderful and great forum members for their advices and guidance throughout the preparation processesCongrats on your success. God that started this good work in your life shall perfect it in Jesus name. How long have you graduated now that the question of statement of result is being asked? |
mayankho: Dv 2013 more people were selected in october if you read thru 2013 thread you will read testimonies of those who were selected..OK. Thanks. It would be good if they did. |
mayankho: God have Mercy on us please I beg,.. giddadon: Confirmd...naija nt eligible 4 2015...na wah....14days to go...lord favour us dis october ooo,we stil dey waitI don't know your source of information o. But this thing has happened before in DV2013 thread when the selection result came in May, they were so optimistic, but did that selection actually take place? Here is just a page where comments like that transpired: https://www.nairaland.com/927190/dv-2013-winners-meet-here/7 Maybe it's faith, but I am not sure about the selection by October neither do I believe. This is my take on this. |
timimoyegun: Hi,I think it's around 24k for both consultation and immunization for an adult, and the younger the applicant, the higher the immunization. Based on a previous experience of a DV2013 winner. |
danitee199: I hear Nigeria is banned from DV 2015Banned? I think the proper word to use is ineligible. We didn't commit any offence. That's just headline, writers way of pooling your interest and attention to a subject. |
Madu77: Please I wish to thank all who have devoted time to help in this forum and plead on all to restraint from very provocative statements. God bless you.Medicals: 3 days for result to be out. Police: same day Interview: 1 day visa pick up: maybe a week after interview. So you can actually do your medicals and Police same day. You will get your police that very day. You first go for medicals that morning when you are through, go for police, they are around. It takes 3 days for the medicals to come out. So with this I believe you can plan your leave. A 10 working-day leave should suffice from medicals, police, interview and probably visa pick up if things being equal. I'm sure this helped? |
XYZZ: House, how many weeks does it take for the medical result to come out? My interview is November, what’s the perfect time for us to go for the medical?Three days. i think saturday is inclusive that's why I didn't say business days. They attend to people on Saturdays. |
America noni: Case numberWhat did you do? |
chio: if u are certified there are opportunities in ITGreat. Thanks. All I need. |
XYZZ: My people, is it advisable to pay the visa fee is Dollars or Naira? And which rate do they use?Any of the currencies you choose is very accepted there. If you are not too sure of genuine dollar bills, then go for the naira equivalent. The exchange rate at the embassy is N165:$1 making $330, N54,450. |
