Is Dino ok? The madness of this dude has no limits. But why is the Senate chamber always near empty during plenary? Where are the senators? It is about time the Constitution is amended to make the job of senators part time and to be paid accordingly. This will save cost of maintaining these men who do nothing to better the condition of the citizens but hanker after mundane things like the CG of Customs appearing before them in uniform.

I am on all fours with your submission. The fraudulent Dino Melaye never graduated from ABU, Zaria. I also look forward to the court case. It will surely expose that VC and his partner in crime, Dino Melaye but do not be surprised if the case is abandoned eventually.

If a student's name is not on the convocation brochure, the conclusion is that the student either did not graduate or is yet to graduate from the University. It seems Dino Melaye celebrated too soon!

Did he really graduate? Nigerians need to see the original copy of the Certificate in Geography issued to him by ABU and not a doctored Statement of Result he is bandying about. Is this so hard to ask?

In the case he instituted in court against SR, he must produce original copy of the University Degree in Geography he obtained from ABU, Zaria for him to have any chance of winning the case. Did the VC tender this document before the Senate? Did he even come with any document atall to disprove Sowore? Is 'available record' hard evidence? Relax. The case is just building up.

Plenary in the Senate seems to have been turned into a circus by Dino and his paddy, Saraki. The uncouth and unruly behaviour of Melaye have greatly diminished and lowered the esteem of the Senate in the eyes of right thinking Nigerians and the international community.

Recent developments suggest that Hamid Ali no longer needs to appear before the Senate either now or in the near future. The showboating Senators should live with it!

The Nigerian Senate has kicked off an investigation into whether Senator President Bukola Saraki and Senator Dino Melaye have abused their privileges as lawmakers in the Upper House of legislature.

While Senate is investigating Saraki over claims that he allegedly used his office to seek revenge against Nigeria Customs Service boos Hameed Ali, Melaye is being investigated over claims that he may have forged his certificate with which he ran for the legislative seat.

The Senate resolved to probe Saraki and Melaye following a motion moved by Senator Ali Ndume representing Borno South requesting that allegations against the two lawmakers should be investigated to ensure that there was no abuse of legislative privileges by them.

According to Ndume, allegations that the Senate invited Hameed Ali because he reportedly seized a bullet-proof Range Rover that belonged to Saraki because it did not have the proper papers needed to be looked into before the Red Chamber can move on with questioning Ali over the controversial issue of collecting Customs duties on old vehicles.

On the other hand, Ndume said allegations that Melaye did not really graduate from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria as claimed in his CV has to be investigated to make sure the truth is revealed.

The Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges is looking into the two matters and will report back to the house in two weeks.

Meanwhile, prominent lawyer Femi Falana has said the Senate has no lawful authority to summon Col Hameed Ali (rtd), the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service.

The human rights lawyer's claim, comes on the heels of the Senate’s invitation to the CGC, over not wearing his uniform.

Meaningless investigation. Ndume can have his say but the senate big boys will have their way. This so called investigation will come to nought. The two musketeers will, at the end of the day, be cleared by their collaborators in the ethics and privileges committee of the allegations. The house may even pass a vote of confidence on their master, Saraki. A bunch of misfits!

Dino decided to advertise his stupidity by shouting on the floor that he is an authentic graduate of ABU instead of simply presenting a letter from the school that states that he was indeed their student.
