It makes moving on easier. No one wants a remainder of what didn't work out even if it was all good at the beginning. I don't stay friends with my ex(es). A little contact, you start reminiscing about the past and start catching feelings all over again. The past is the past. Just move and keep looking forward. Cheating might be the worst thing that can happen in a marriage. If I'm not cheating, then why will you want to know about everything. Yes, should be open with one another but there are some things that are better left alone, maybe better off as a surprise. Not intentionally hating my innocent child because all it is not of her faults but her mother is to blamed for this , if she was being honest with me from the beginning maybe all this couldn’t have happened. I understand your hurt but you have already started transferring the aggression to the child unconsciously. Let your wife in on your suspicions without involving the child first. I know it's difficult. A father is not always someone that brings a child to the world. A father is someone who loves and protects a child whether or not he brought her to the world. You've come a long way with this child. Do not break her spirit. Believe me, you are the only father she has and knows. What if you do the DNA test and she turns out to be yours? You might argue that fact but what if? You will hate yourself. Carry on loving this child but try to talk to your wife without your daughter knowing what's going on.
