Romance / Re: Can A Woman Propose To A Man? by kimba(m): 11:52pm On Oct 05, 2006
@raphy
Hi all,

I just can't stand it.  This babe walked up to me and started telling what I didn't expect.  She said she is single and looking for a hubby.   I don't know what to do, but now we are friends anyway.

But can a woman propose to a man?  I need your advise all.

As per your case, if I were you, I wont consider her actions a proposal. She was looking for a hubby, and now you're her hubby. Continue the friendship. Please.

Your using of the word "propose": if its a first timer "hey, I like you, lets go out", kind of I don't consider that one a proposal, could just be an invitation to loosen up a little. Any girl that considers a guy walking up to her and saying hi, hello etc, a proposal doesnt know where shes going, how much more for a guys head to be swelling just because of what some girl said??

On the other hand, a guy and a girl in a serious relationship, and if everything is all good and ok, , theres the trust, commitment, confidence, honesty and love vice-versa, honestly, I don't think theres nothing wrong with the girl asking the guy, hey, whats up, when are u taking me to the altar, are we or not, where are we going - together, at least, if that would wake up the sleeping giant in the guy,

Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find. Thats the fact of this life.

If anyone in this century thinks its inappropriate for a girl to propose, or lets say plainly make the first move in a healthy relationship, at least to get things into a higher level, that person is still in the stone ages.

If you want something, go get it. Kaput. Is there any where it is written in the whole world that the man should always propose to the woman. Most of such believes are all traditional, and tradition is a usual enemy to common-sense.

So girls, if you see what you want go for it.

Religion / Re: Gay Churches by kimba(m): 5:36pm On Oct 01, 2006
LiquidMind:

I am not a gay or a fonicator,

I AM A HOLLY MAN THAT LIVE A HOLLY LIFE STYLE IN A SEX CRAZY WORLD cool

LiquidMind:

I remember talking to one person which turn out to be a lesbian. She said she goes to a church where they accept homosexuals just as long as they worship God.

I thought that was great that after so much religious bashing, gays can still have their faith with the religion they love best.

A holy man that finds it a great idea for gays to still have their faith with the religion they love best?
Which failth do gays have in the first place?
what do you call their religion?

You yourself you have a serious problem, which migiht be greater than that of gays/lesbos.
Career / Re: Age Barriers To Graduate Employment In Nigeria by kimba(m): 5:23pm On Oct 01, 2006
Since we are always copying America, thats the reason.

when America drops their age level, we will drop ours. Soon, Nigerians will be looking for 20year old PhDs with 10-years experience.

Literature / Re: Mary Abraham: One Girl Army (A Story) by kimba(m): 5:16pm On Oct 01, 2006
Comments:
The hidden African state of Jericho is underdeveloped; corruption everywhere
Is there anywhere in Africa called Jericho? If not, assume another scenario.

Whats all the talk with Hebrews, Christians, north, south, Abraham, Mary etc?
Mixing the Bible's elements with fiction create a wrong impression, thats if you wanted to give a right impression in the first place.

Mary wanders aimlessly then goes to visit Bashiru, and old cyber-friend of hers.
• After staying there for a long time, Bashiru asks if she won’t be leaving.
• Mary explains that she has no-where to go, and defends her decision to escape.
• Bashiru tells her that she can live with him and pay by helping out in the house.
• Mary refuses that deal because she hates housework, surprising Bashiru.
• She offers to pay Bashiru a proper rent if he supports her Internet business idea.
• Bashiru says ok, he’ll cook and clean while she works, and she’ll repay him later.
• He tells Mary’s parents about the situation, but they refuse to speak to her.
• She works, and she works, works some more, then works again, day and night.
• One year later, Mary’s website is the most profitable website in Jericho.
• In another year, it becomes the most profitable website in Africa.
• But she’s reluctant to move out of Bashiru’s place, hire employees, or sell out.
• On day, they laugh as Mary makes Bashiru’s picture say ridiculous things.
• Bashiru thinks the time is right, so he asks Mary, “Will you marry me?”
• Mary says she’ll never marry anyone else, but she might never marry.
Very dry love story. Is Mary a Christian/Hebrew? ha about Bashiru? whats his faith. does he just think "will you just marry me because Mary has been living in his house for long and? Where's the love affair? Where's the resistance? Put in some salt and pepper. What kind of work does she do.

Some Christians on the street were killed by Hebrews over Middle East events.
• Mary and Bashiru rush out to see a neighbor weeping over her dead child.
• Bashiru stops Mary from rebuking some passers-by who recommend retaliation.
Are Hebrews Muslims or which one?

Mary's website? did she go to school, in the underdeveloped country? what work did her parents do to earn her an education?

Bashiru decides to drop the marriage issue.
• Soon, Mary turns 21, so Bashiru and web-friends organize a party for her.
• She tells everyone, “I’m selling my website to foreign investors this week!”
• They are shocked, so she explains that she’s going into ‘commercial’ philanthropy.
• She can make money while doing a lot of good things for the underprivileged.
• Bashiru says, “I have a nice surprise for you” and escorts everyone out.
• On their way out, Mary receives a call on her phone: her parents!
• They are lukewarm about her success and disagree with all her decisions.
• Mary wonders if that’s the “nice” surprise; Bashiru says, “You’ll see”.
• Bashiru shows her the other surprise: a motorbike, just what she wants!
• Motorbikes are more flexible and economical, she explains to puzzled guests.
• Mary jumps to hug him, says, “That’s why I love you”, and they test-ride it.
Website, Cell-phone, motorbike , doesnt fit together

Mary is convinced that mob violence stems from lack of accountability.
• With thousands of spy cameras in citizens’ hands, convictions will be possible.
• Mary educates TV viewers on “camera vigilance” and imports cheap cameras.
• People/companies buy the cameras, and many religious rioters are caught.
• There is uneasy calm for a while.
• Eventually, Hebrew politicians lose the battle to install the Law of Moses.
• Popular Rabbis declare Jericho as the “Egypt of our time” and call for a Passover.
• The firstborn of all the Christians must be killed at a certain time next month.
• “Jehovah is the Lord of battle”. “Jericho is just like Sodom and Gomorrah!”
• Christian leaders, sensing danger, encourage their followers to fight back.
• This new threat is too big to be contained by Mary’s current policy.
• Because of the danger it posed, corporations start sending money to Mary.

How does the Law of Moses, Sodom and Gomorrah fit with Websites, Phones Motorbike, Christian, Muslim and Hebrew, TV, Cameras, Hebrew politicians? distribution of handbills, condoms, Jericho and Nigeria?, all in 2006? or in the 16th century? you are confusing everything.

To me, it seems you're trying to put a plus mark where you should put a minus or a division sign.

score, 2/10.
Viewers are more confused at the end because the story isnt going anywhere. Its not even a story.

WHO SAID NO ONE KNEW NEVER ABOUT 9/11 BEFORE 9/11

- They even knew it would be the WWC.
- It was even pre-simulated.
- Osama(most wanted man in America) received medical attention at American Hospital amidst high security.

@poster
@oracle
He means like
if you have a multiple personality: ability of being more than one person
and you can be in two places at one
e.g you can be at home and at the same time be at school

Question: where are the two places you would like to be?
Do you understand now?

Its like you dont get the picture,
is your multiple personality really an ABILITY OF BEING MORE THAN ONE PERSON or an insanity RESULTING WHEN THE BRAIN HAS CRAZED?

is your multiple personality a desired circumstance in one's life?

can you really be in more than one place at one time and still call yourself a human being, in terms of a sound, stable, natural and moral, spiritual, physical and mental capabilities?

what the hell with interracial marraiges anyway, human blood is always red, whether ure black, white or yellow or whateva.

You dont have to be mixed to learn form both worlds, but mixed peeps usually have a nice view of things in general.

We need a foreigner to rule Nigeria, one of the Nigerians in Diaspora for over 20 years should be the next president, as he is already exposed to the modern world. job ethics and discipline. what do you guys thing?

analysis:
1) We need a foreigner to rule Nigeria
2) one of the Nigerians in Diaspora for over 20 years should be the next president, as he is already exposed to the modern world. job ethics and discipline.

does "foreigner" equate to "over 20years" in the diaspora?
Religion / Re: Why! Christian Ladies? by kimba(m): 10:39pm On Sep 26, 2006
@akfarad
Why do christian singles tend to intimidate each other with courtship which some people prefer to call engagement most especially on campus?. It is so bad that some christian ladies practically hook up forcefully with any man(even non christians) when it is quite obvious that there is no need to rush

whats your point sir,
You want to know why Christian singles intimidate each other with courtship, especially on campus?

how?

ive replied before, let me reply again with another opinion.

if the two of you love each other, i mean seriously, planning to marry, or even earlier in the relationship is there anything wrong with asking "are you a virgin?"

If you can ask a girl to marry you, you should be able to ask her if she is a virgin. same goes for the ladies.

just a thought, for me, theres nothing wrong o, the answer is either yes/no.

or abi, abeg, what du u think, at least if the two are informed, the wedding night will not leave too much to be "finding out",

what are the specfications of these PCs, parts/manufacturers, Hope they are not Zinox Models o, In trying to patronize "made in Nigeria goods", Zinox hardware is one of the most unreliable ive come across, no offence !!!
Phones / Re: What Do You Do Online? by kimba(m): 4:59am On Sep 21, 2006
there are too many things I do online. In fact, i have to keep a diary just to make sure I do everything I intend doing everyday. The worst thing is I am so busy I often forget to check my mails.

- todays list on my diary
- check out my own gateway/network just to make sure no body has been snooping around.
- remote desktop admin for a couple of people on a daily basis.
- check through another host of mail/web servers, just to make sure the devil didnt tamper with things overnight.
- Checkout the latest softwares (application, DB, graphics). If found, download them, fire up my C,C++ and try to pull these applications apart, in the process, i might learn something new.
- pop in and out into a couple of online forums/groups
- if everything is done, check emails
