Afterwards I reprimanded her properly and told her how disrespectful it is to her man especially when he's there with her.. she tried to argue that it was nothing and that I'm overreacting but I told her that acts like this can send the wrong message to a prospective suitor and he'll just believe you a girl guys have easy access to. She apologized and promised not to do that again.

Military coup in Africa is like a chain reaction. Once it happened in one country successfully. it will keep happening in other countries. Five military coups in west Africa alone within 3 years shows Nigeria is not save. It is capable of influencing our soldiers to be unruly and eventually may decide to join the trend

First, is democracy a must? Because it works in the West, how effective does it work in Africa?
Next, is the military government in those countries performing human rights abuses like killing their people?
The reason why Nigeria had to intervene in Sierra Leone and liberia is because of the human rights abuses and to restore law and order. If those countries had a military regime that was stable, do you think Nigeria would have invaded and won?
Every country has a right to their destiny. You went to school and eked a source of living, some didn't and learnt a trade and did same too. As long as Niger portends no trouble to us, we stand to gain from our neutrality.
Sending Nigerian soldiers to Niger will mess Nigeria up. Nigeriens believe that this move is in the best of their country. Your borders are porous. Giving Nigeria guerilla warfare and terror attacks will not be a problem. If very mighty Russia cannot subdue Ukraine, how much more weak Nigerian army fighting another motivated army. Except you just like Nigerian soldiers dying.
