Maiduguri – The Joint Task Force (JTF) on Operation Restore Order on Wednesday confirmed the killing of three persons after an explosion in Maiduguri.

JTF spokesman Lt.-Col. Sagir Musa stated this in a statement in Maiduguri. “An explosive devise targeted at the JTF patrol team exploded at the Post Office round about in Maiduguri at about 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday. “The explosion led to the death of three civilians, comprising the bomber and two others, and a JTF vehicle was damaged.”

He assured the public that the JTF was on top of the situation in the state, in spite of the development. “

Consequently, the JTF reiterates its determination to ensure the maintenance of law, order and safety of lives and property of law abiding residents of Borno State.”

Musa also urged residents to disregard leaflets being circulated by suspected terrorists on impending attacks in Maiduguri. “The attention of the JTF has been drawn to some leaflets allegedly printed and circulated by Boko Haram terrorists group containing a message from their leader Abubakar Shekau.

“The message contained threats and warning to civil servants, politicians, traditional rulers and security agents that the sect has not made any reconciliation with the government and has not declared a cease fire.

“The JTF wishes to advise law abiding members of the public to disregard such publications and consider them as part of the terrorists propaganda strategy to keep the civil populace in captivity.” (NAN)

3. The Feminist factor: A guy does not want you to cling to him, and neither does he want you to totally disown him. He expects you to be able to care for yourself when the need arises, and let him show his macho side when he wants to!

4. Nagging: This is seriously a turn off! Guys hate girls who keep on saying the same thing over and over again. So, don’t nag. If you want something done and your guy doesn’t want to do it, find some other means of accomplishing it. Simple!

5. Suffocation: No matter how much the guy likes you, he will not become your slave. Give him his space and let him have some guys’ time. If you constantly call him, message him and keep insisting that he can’t do anything without informing you, you can be rest assured that the guy will run far and away from you!


6. Opinion: Guys do not like ladies who simply nod along to everything they say. And neither do they want someone who will disagree with everything. If you do not want to turn off guys, be a lady who commands respects and gives respect.

7. Appreciation: Some ladies take guys for granted. Assuming and believing that your special guy will be around forever will definitely turn the guy off. Let him know how much you appreciate his presence in your life from time to time. Don’t devalue his feelings, opinions or views.

8. Too much makeup: You need to put on the foundation, eyeliner and lipstick in such a way that your face looks beautiful, not like a joker.

9. Dressing up: If you dress shabbily, then there is no way you will attract men. If you hate your body or yourself, you will surely turn guys off. It is important to appreciate yourself first and dress like you love your body and face. Don’t show too much flesh. Give some room for imagination.

10. Attitude: Don’t be the snob kind, and neither should you be a push over. These characteristics will surely turn guys off. Be an easy going, happy and cheerful person!

Its not been easy.

Thanks Overdrive, i av also relocated quite far away from my 'smoking partner'. We were neighbours and we met and smoked together on a daily basis last year, but since the move i av only sat out with hm about thrice dis year.
still tryna convince him to join me in quiting.

Like i said earlier i am really concerned about the health risk of smoking. I ll try and get as much information as i can on the hazards of smoking. Hoping it ll dampen any urge i might have to revisit that debilitating habit.

Started smoking recreationally in 2001, but i became dependent around 2005. I smoke about 5 to 10 sticks a day (the number increasing till last year).
