Nice money spinner for d'banj, I heard he made N45 Million from the registration form alone, so the car and 1st prize is chicken change to him, he will surely be laughing all the way to his bank . I am sure he will be more than eager to roll out Koko Mansion act 2 as soon as humanly possible.
Politics › Re: Is It Time To Invite Our Colonial Masters To Return? by KnowAll(m): 10:09pm On Jul 26, 2009
@poster -  Riduculous suggestion, even mordern day oyinbo man does not know what it means to own a colony, let alone taking over a whole country. Is it because 0.09% of the population have hyjacked the economy from the majority that some of us have lost our reasoning , the day of reckoning is coming when the masses will rise and take over. We might be force to take the law into our hands very soon.
Politics › Re: Petroluem University In Kaduna! Fg How Far? by KnowAll(m): 9:46pm On Jul 26, 2009
If those law makers in the both senate and reps are keeping mute about it then they should all be sacked. How can a president be making such a very sensitive decision without seeking approval from the house. One would have thought that giving the volatilty of the amnesty agreement an appeasement to the south-south will not have being out of place considering the circumastances.
Politics › Re: Alao Akala Awards N25m For 5 Public Toilets. by KnowAll(m): 9:32pm On Jul 26, 2009
The most set of corrupt public officers in Nigeria are police men, they will collect bribe in broad day light with disreagard to whoever is wacthing them. To now put a bent police officer like Akale in charge of a state is like giving the keys to the vault of central bank to Lawrence Anini that state is doomed for the next 4 or 8 years as the case might be.
Politics › Re: Okiro: I’m Not Owing Any Failed Bank -threatens To Sue Ndic by KnowAll(m): 12:53pm On Jul 24, 2009
Either way Okiro will be the biggest loser, all the money he stole while at the helm of affairs at Nigerian Police Force will be use in fighting NDIC. In the event he wins the case the laywers would have bleed him dry, and if he loses may God help him he might end up on the streets. We hope to see more retribution handed over to our numerous corrupt politicians and public officers. The lawyers in Naija should increase their charges like abroad, N1 Million for each letter written to NDIC and for each court appearance must be N10 million, this is the best time to be a lawyer. I just hope Naija lawyers are not charging pea nuts.

He does not need to be great outside yorubaland, yorubaland was his contituency hence his greatness within it. He was never a central goverment politician but a strong regional personalty and politician who impacted possitively in the lives of her citizen.
Politics › Re: The Northen Nigerian Life! by KnowAll(m): 12:39pm On Jul 21, 2009
There is nothing to be gained by our northern brothers associating with the arabs, the arabs hold black African muslims in contempt and they subject them to a life of servitude and slavery, to confirm these disturbing trend one does not need to go too far off to see how the Hausa-looking people in other countries are treated. In Mauritania the black Africans who are Hausa like people and still enduring a life of servitude and mordern day slavery. Same thing in Dafur in the Sudan where Hausa-like race are subject to ethnic cleanising and slavery despite their loyalty to Islam. If that is the type of life that our Northern brothers have chosen for themselves who are we to blame them,  it is a matter of choice and they have chosen the part of servitude in another man’s country rather than being the master of their’s (Ironically they seem to be masters of theirs with all the political appointments and shenanigans’ happening in Nigeria ). If we are to look what have become of the Hausa slaves that were taking to the arab world, one would agree that the southern West-Africans have done better for themselves in the new world when compared to what the ancestors of the hausa’s slaves have achieved so the difference is as clear as day light. The choice is their’s.
Politics › Re: Dangote Going Broke? by KnowAll(m): 9:12pm On Jul 20, 2009
Nigeria is still an untapped investor's heaven, if a lot of Nigerians have  1/8th the money he has at the moment they will not only threble his dwindling fortune they will quadruple it. He has never been a businesman, what he has always been is a monopolist, only a fool with not make money when you are the only one selling a product.
Politics › Re: Amaechi To Build $150m Mega Hospital In Port Harcourt by KnowAll(m): 1:53pm On Jul 20, 2009
Nigerians have read some many mouth watering projects since this new civilian dispensation, how many has actually materialised is another subject entirely. Lagos – Kano new rail link, lagos – Ibadan road increase to 3 lane on each side, Port Harcourt new city, Eko Atlantic city, metroline in lagos, Abuja boulevard and another 10 lane airport road in Abuja. A ring road round Port Harcourt that will cost $1 billion dollars, the new Kaduna city, 4th mainland bridge muted during tinubu’s tenure still not built after 10 years. These politicians should just shut-up and get on with it.  sad
Politics › Re: Alao Akala Awards N25m For 5 Public Toilets. by KnowAll(m): 1:26pm On Jul 20, 2009
Alao Akala would never have imagined in his widest dream that he will ever become a Governor, he was perfectly happy with his Deputy Governor role and believed he has achieve something extra-ordinarily, but when the Governor at the time would not settle the God-Father of Ibadan politics, he got thrown out of office. That singular act ushered in Akala, how a sacked bent police officer can become Governor is a story for another day. Akala is still enjoying his honey moon and he knows for sure he isn’t coming back as Governor in 2011, so for now he had better hurry up and award any contract no matter how mundane and insignificant it appears, it is still a better way to top up on his loot without drawing too much attention from that greedy woman ( Madam Farida ) in Abuja, knowing for sure she will demand her own 10% of any bent or fraudulent deals.

pdp will still win the general election come 2011 but all we ask for is a free and fair election. With the praises Ghana is getting all over the world over the conduct of its last general election and the pressure from president obama, I think some in pdp and the presidency wants to have a fairer election come 2011, since the country has not got any strong opposition at the momment I dont see how pdp will lose the next election.

the only thing ojukwu has ever archeive is squandering his father's millions, can u imagine been a millionaire in the 1950s nigeria and today he is as broke as church mouse, he is now using every trick in the book to siphon limited state funds. The man should be ashamed of himself. Anyone that sees ojukwu as a role model must be a failure like him birds of the same feather they say flock together.
Politics › Re: Alao Akala Awards N25m For 5 Public Toilets. by KnowAll(m): 1:41pm On Jul 17, 2009
Creating where people would be shitting is that really the priority of a state Government, what are the LG doing with their money that they cannot undertake such a mundane project? Or is it a case that LG money has yet again been hijack by greedy Governors. If this is the kind of projects that state governments want to be doing, then I withdraw my initial stance which is in support of creation of more state in the other thread, What an exercise in futility  undecided.  Akala should stop embarrassing the good people of Oyo state.
Politics › Re: Fashola Warns Mend by KnowAll(m): 12:40pm On Jul 17, 2009
Fashola is just pouring petrol on a already burning fire, why shoud he warn MEND, he acted like an illetrate for someone who is a SAN. Does lagos state have a police force, para military or amry force to defend herself , what if MEND does it again, who is he banking on to do his bidding,  is it OPC, that is a license for all yoruba's to go out and look for ijaws and slaughte them. He should be careful what he says. The appropiate action should be :

1. Lagos has 3 senators he will summon the senators to give him an explanation why this is happening in his state. The senators in their own time will either summon the defence minister or the president for desirable explanation of what took place and why, considering that the FG is giving amnesty to MEND.

2. He will summon lagos state house of reps members to give him and explanation. The reps will reconvene with the Senators and a policy statement will be declared by joint house as to what actions will be taking if such repeats itself. It will not be out of place if a motion of confidence is passed on the presidency.

3. Summoning all the militatry commanders based in lagos why the lakasdiscal atititude to this attack that went on for suppose 3 hours. Agood explanation is needed here heads must definately roll.

4. The commisoner of police of the state. - What steps is the IG of police of Nigeria taking for such not to repeat itself again. We are all witness to how the IG of police sprang like a spring chicken to Ekiti during the election there.

But to speak recklessly like that is not to anybody's advantage, the Rwanda crisis is still within our not distance memory. A bloodbath can ensure from careless statement which can be mis- construed as a license to butcher your neigbour or other different tribes. Fashola wacth what u say with your mouth u might not know it but u are like a mini god to some people and whatever comes out of your mouth could be mis-interpreted.

@POSTER

did you not see the pictures of Yenogoa posted here on NL, If you have been opportuned to have visited that state say 15 years ago, u will not be making such an assertion. True there is high corruption at state level, that is because we have not been giving the opportunity to look at the other side of the coin. If the Governors and LG Chairmen are doing what they are suppose to be doing by now Nigeria would have been El-dorado . Thank God we are seeing glimpse of hope in state's like lagos, and in cross river state during duke's time with the tinapa project. We hope to see more of the other side of the coin as the years go by.
Politics › Impeachment, Recall, And Removal Are Every Nigerian’s Right Exercise Those Right by KnowAll(op): 1:39pm On Jul 16, 2009
Impeachment – 2/ 3 OF any house of assembly can impeach a lame duck, good for nothing Governor.

Recall – A significant number (not sure of the exact figure ) can recall members of the state house of assembly to give account of their stewardship. Examples OF stewardship includes how many bills have they sponsored and what became of such bills.

Removal – In the event that a House Assembly rep cannot give a honest and genuine account of his / her stewardship removal actions will be constituted in earnest which will culminate with actual removal of the Assembly member.

Senate & House of Reps – See Recall and Removal same procedure.

President – See Impeachment, but it has to be of both Houses, that is Senate and House of Reps, I am not too sure if the state houses of assembly also have a role to play in a presidential removal or impeachment.
Politics › Re: Do You Believe In Free Healthcare For All Nigerians? by KnowAll(m): 2:27pm On Jul 15, 2009
Free Healthcare goes with 90% to 98% of the population actively in employment or some kind of employment. If a high proportion of the population is working taxes and national insurance can easily be collected at source and that money can be ploughed into to health services like what obtains in Britain. The key is high level of employment.
Politics › Re: Ijawman says he's Yoruba ! by KnowAll(m): 12:41pm On Jul 15, 2009
Nigerians should wake up and let go off these tribal leanings when criticising our leaders, if anybody goes through my post you will notice that the same intensity that I will use in criticizing Fashola or Gbenga Daniel is the same I will employ in criticizing Sam Egwu, or Governor Obi of Anambra state. I will praise any Nigerian politician that does well irrespective of tribe or geographical location and criticize those politicians that have taking their constituencies as mugu’s. What I notice here in Nairaland especially amongst the Igbo boys is they are never objective in their criticisms, it amuses me when you notice the location where some of these bias postings originate from considering that the poster of such malicious, tribal, and subversive material are actually enjoying the Libra and mundane latitude giving to them by the host society. Yet these hypocrites come unto Nairaland with their biased and warp mind knowing fully well that if the host communities that they are seeking refuge were to treat them the same way they will be the first to shout f***king racist . Please people try to be objective in your criticisms and praises. Being an objective poster will help the nation in no small way. The Nation needs more objective posters as suppose to follow-follow. Fela said it in his song if you follow-follow you will end up in the ditch like the one you are supporting or praising.
Politics › Re: Ijawman says he's Yoruba ! by KnowAll(m): 11:53am On Jul 15, 2009
He might be an ijaw man parent wise that is his parents grew up in Ijaw land,  but a true lagosian by birth and growing up wise.  ¾ of people living in Ajegunle are Ijaws they don’t know anywhere else than AJ. Moving up the ladder for such people is moving out of AJ to places like  Ikeja, Lekki, VI or Ikoyi. Do you now deny these people their heritage that they are not lagosians, no in fact been a lagosian is not synonymous with been a Yoruba person, the relationship between been a lagosian and been a Yoruba person is there is the tendency that as a lagosian you might be able to understand Yoruba and not speak it like my wife who is from Benin city but grew up in Ikeja cantonment because her father was in the military , or you can understand Yoruba and speak it or you don’t understand yoruba and don’t speak it, it does not make you a lesser  lagosian than Fashola that grew in Suru-lere area. So if Ijawman chooses he can claim his father’s home town and can also claim to be a lagosian, he might have the added advantage of speaking Yoruba in which case he might even claim to be Yoruba person if he chooses.
Politics › Re: Ghana, The True Gaint Of Africa? by KnowAll(m): 12:56pm On Jul 13, 2009
If 20 million Britons that are working is able to provide the income that has made the UK the heaven it is today, whereby if you don’t work your house rent is paid for you , each child is paid child support whether you are rich or poor every child gets that even the Queen’s Kid is entitle to it.

You get un-employment benefit if you are not working, and even if you are working and your spouse is not working all the taxes you pay is paid back to you as tax credit. Then if 20 million people can do this in Britain, 70 million Nigerians of working age would do even greater things. The biggest 3 economies of Europe are the countries with the largest population Germany, UK, and France.

All we need in Nigeria is a leader that knows how to harness this potential population into one huge production enterprise. Look at China they use their population to their advantage and that is what our leaders should do. At the moment we are down on our knees but we are still any potential investor’s idea of an investment heaven. The 6th largest Telecom company in South Africa invested in Nigeria, the money they made just after 2 years was more than they made in South Africa in 10 years.

Nigera is a potential Giant but whether we will ever take that word Potential out of the word Giant is a matter for posterity or a sudden realisation from our leaders that we should change our ways, the latter I am skepitical about but the former we live with, with the hope that it will be better sometime tommorrow when and what time is anyone's guess. undecided
Politics › Re: Lets Don’t Waste Time Ribadu Is Our Obama Nigerians Get On Board - 2011 by KnowAll(op): 1:15pm On Jul 10, 2009
BecomeRich your calculation is faulted and not right.

Assuming the revenue on oil is – 100%

The FG – gets 55% I agree with you on that.

The South-South States get 13% derivative from oil revenue.

Let us use 100 billion Naira as total revenue for oil in the month Jan09

13 % derivatives is giving to the oil producing state that is 13% of 100 billion

= 13 billion Naira.

There are 6 oil producing state they share the 13 / 6 = N2.1billion per oil producing states.

The FG gets 55 % of the remaining 87% = N47.85 billion

The remainder which is 39.15% is divided by 36 states = N1.32 billion per state.

Don’t forget that the oil producing state has already gotten N2.1 billion + N1.32 billion = N3.42billion for each oil producing state.

Add 16 southern states = 1.32 X 16 = 21.12 BILLION + 2.1 Billion x 6 = 12.6Billion

Total for south = 21.12 + 12.6 = 33.72 billion

FG gets 47.85 billion + Southern state’s N33.72 = N81.57 Billion

The Northern states get = N18.43 Billion against the southern states N33.72 Billion.

But if you will consider FG as a Northern state which cannot be justifiable it will mean the north including Abuja gets N18.43 Billion + N47.85 Billion = N66.28 billion. That is still lower than the figure you quoted that the south only 20% of the oil. From my calculation you can see that the south gets 33% of the oil revenue. The FG is the father of all the states you cannot say the FG is an Hausa state just because you have an Hausa man is at the helm of its affairs.
Politics › Re: Buhari To Float New Party by KnowAll(m): 11:31am On Jul 10, 2009
What is Buhari’s obsession with being the President of Nigeria again is it because he had an impromptu exit out of power and did not have enough time to clean up and tidy up nicely. What can it be, I don’t get this man’s obsession with the presidency.

We cannot continue to let tribal bickering hold us back from fulfilling our destiny as a nation, if the Americans are as bias as Nigerians Obama will not even smell the White House lawn let alone being the occupant of it, so Nigerians, remove your tribal goggles and chase the dream. Make Ribadu the man to beat come 2011.

A prophet is not respected in his own town says the bible, Ribadu has started a crusade, he should be supported en-masse to finish the revolution he started. One has to recognise that he had so many hurdles and restraining order whilst working for OBJ, but if the people give him his own mandate I see him pushing for far reaching changes that will impact on every man and woman on the street.
Politics › Re: If The West Were Run Like Nigeria There Will Be Trillionaires In The World Today by KnowAll(op): 2:55pm On Jul 09, 2009
The way Government is run in Nigeria at present is like everyone in Government is trying hard to grab more than the next man before the roof of the house caves in, it is as if our leaders know or have a premonition that the ship is sinking and every other politician is trying to outbid the other in the grabbing stakes. They should come out and tell us the public what is happening. With the south- south states topping tompolo’s wages every month to the Eastern Governors supporting Massob which only came to light recently over non payment of entitlement by Gov Obi. What’s happening politicians speak to us and lets know what is gwan ? undecided
