Are we talking about an occassional beating or frequent beating?
Some women are too nasty and deserve to be beaten once in a while.
However, it is crude and barbaric for a man to beat his wife.
Many men do it,even some of those condemning it on this thread.
This beastly act cuts across all classes,tribes,occupations,etc.
Rich men,poor men,educated,illiterates,clergy,beat their wives.
A man should be able to control himself from such a beastly act.
I've seen a pastor in a white garment slap his wife one night at Agege Pen Cinema bus stop in Lagos around 1997.
The woman cried while the beast walked away, left her crying there.
I felt for the woman that night.
I think its a societal or cultural attitude here.Some men do it as a measure of power and control over the woman.
In some cases,its out of frustration.
Our laws,unlike in Europe,allow such abuses and do not frown at it.
One of the religions(not christianity oh)authorises a husband to beat his wife at will.

I have been married for 14 years.
The average is once in a forthnight,sometimes thrice monthly, for the past 14 years.
Reason: Wife has a much lower sex drive,unlike mine which is higher.I prefer twice a week intimacy,but i dont get it.
Before the wedding,there was no sampling(premarital sex) purely on religious grounds.
Having intimacy twice in 30 days in a marriage may be abnormal but what can one do in my situation?
Adultery is out of it on Christian grounds.I am not a saint.I'm a sinner like everyone else.

i do not understand how people enter into marriage blindly,with their two eyes wide open, then turn around to say that something went wrong,therefore they are leaving? How come the woman in question did not know that the man was obsessed with his former girl friend?

A prophecy should have a benefit for a person or a nation.
A prophecy could also be a warning of an impending disaster as a consequence of sin or wrongdoing by a person or nation.
The goal of the prophecy would be to warn the affected to change their evil ways to avert the disaster.
For example,during the devastating siege of Samaria,the Prophet Elisha prophesied that within 24 hours,a measure of flour and two measures of barley would be sold for a shekel in Samaria and it happened.That was a positive benefit in the prophecy to the people of Samaria.
The prophesied destruction of Jerusalem which occured in A.D.70 was a warning and a consequence of sin.It came to pass because the people did not repent.
There are standing biblical prophecies warning about eternal destruction in Hell for anyone who fails to repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.The propecies concerning the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ had a significance
Predict that someone will die? What positive benefit or warning is in it for the person or nation?
If the person is an obstacle to peace,change and progress and his death will bring change to the nation,then it is worthwhile.
The prophecy should state the expected result for good or for bad.
Why will the person die? Cant it be averted? On what conditions can it be averted?
God sent a prophet to tell King Hezekiah that he would die soon.Hezekiah was a righteous king and he appealed against the sentence based on his work for the Lord.God heard his appeal, reversed His own decree and added 15 years to his life.There is a positive message for us in that event.
Not all prophecies are Holy Spirit inspired.There are demon inspired prophecies that also come to pass with startling accuracy too.The Devil is a counterfeiter.We should be careful these days.Many false prophets abound in the world now.
Why dont we hear prophesies that will bring positive change and progress to our crisis ridden continent?
Why cant we hear prophecies about good governance that will take us in Africa to the Promised Land?
The acceptability of a Man of God is not necessarily determined by the accuracy of his prophecies.Do not just run after a Man of God on account of his prophecies.You have to be sure.The Bible says we should test the spirits to know the real from the scam.
He may be acceptable before men but may not be standing right in God's sight.
God knows those who are truly His Prophets.

The importance of Easter or Christmas or the superiority of one over the other is not what matters.Both are significant.
Christmas remembers the birth of Jesus while Easter commemorates the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ the Savior of the world who came to die for our sins that we be reconciled to God the Father. Easter is about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ who was raised from the dead on the 3rd day.The significance of the resurrection is the victory over death and hell and the assurance that any one who dies in Christ will surely resurrect into life eternal and reign with Christ in Heaven.None of the two events is superior over the other.

What matters is this
How are you standing in the Lord?
Are you leaving the substance and pursuing the shadows?
If the Last Trumpet should sound now,where are you headed?
Eternity with Christ in Heaven or eternal damnation in Hell fire?

These occurences are among the signs of the end prophesied in Matthew 24.
It is not the dying that matters but where one is heading to after death.
Is it heaven or hell?
After death is judgement(Hebrews 9:27)
We need to be ready at every minute to qualify for eternity with Christ.
God did not say that we shall have no troubles in this life (Job 14:1-2)
We shall have it but shall overcome them if we are on His side.
The All Knowing God knew it would happen,yet allowed it to happen.
Who can question Him,the Sovereign God?
May the dead rest in peace.
For us who are alive today,we are alive by God's mercies and grace.
Do not abuse the grace as no one knows when the end will come
Repent now and believe the Gospel.
