Strenght of a woman.lol. The ability to "envirgin" and disvirgin AT WILL |
Lets all tell the truth @Poster, the truth is that most men (myself included) have harboured that thought at least once. some just decide to live a tit for tat life. Even though I take issues with you calling women hoes. That might be a problem later on if you keep to that attitude (it might be cool to say it now but let it stop at just mere talk and not belief ). As to killing someone who sleeps with my wife (waste of useful time, energy and accumulated reputation). Whats the point? she has simply proved we dont have a life together. I will feel the pain no doubt but I'll do the logical thing. As for the culprit, well I may not kill him but I might maim him on the spot (I am still confirming from my lawyer cousin if thats grounds for provocation, if it is, then let the taekwondo begin.) @the angry women. My main issue with online discourse is a tendency for people to say things they wouldn't even voice out in real life. There's no point unleashing repressed anger on the poor guy (whether misguided or not). I read the last four pages and it was filled with such immature filth. It was a simple discussion on his paranoia about marriage and the next few posts were direct attacks AT HIS MUM. thats pure trash whatever might be your opinion about his ideas. A sign of immaturity or lower intelligence is a tendency to emotionalise simple debates. Unless you are simply insulting the guy so you can have stuff to gist about with friends. "Yes, I insulted the idiot. " My own opinion: I can't prevent it happening. (I'll simply treat her like a lady if that doesnt work then asta la vista baby). I can't be everywhere and definitely cannot know where she is at any point in time or what she's doing so there's no point second guessing her. If it doesnt work and there are no babies yet, then she goes her way. If there are kids, we stay separate and I fix my will so she gets nada if i suddenly pafka/kaput. I'll marry but apply the same principle to getting a wife that i apply to all other areas (Measure thrice, Cut Once). |

We all know the issues associated with the current league in the country. I am interested in what you think of the idea of setting up a parallel league to compete with the current league in the country. Other countries including England have parallel leagues that run on their own aside the Premier league. Do you feel there's a chance of success and would it really do anything useful? The whole point of doing this is to see if such a league can beat the NFA's aging corrupt system given the following: 1. 1. Proper pitches, 2. Proper age grade progression, 3. TV coverage, 4. centralized match and player statistics (for the above, even if you think it might not succeed, write what you would want to see in a Nigerian Soccer League). |
cos i wanna make sure she's worth it and cos wanna make sure she finds something to admire. |
@Zebra, they are implied but those feats occur not because they conceive those ideas but because they implement them. THATS THEIR DUTY. My uncle owns an electrical engineering company and nearly went bankrupt cos he decided to give a HND graduate the benefit of the doubt. THe guy's practical skill was not in question, but theoretically he had issues. He could not bill contracts appropriately, could not write a technical report well enough (not even to save his life). I mean all those small things you are taught in a university aside your main course. He had none. Moral: Their practical skills are not in question. Its that extra theoretical depth that they lack. Thats what companies need. Besides most companies are headed by graduates and the tendency is to consider anyone without a degree as not up to standard. Graduates face the same problem when companies are headed by first class graduates who want only first class or second class upper. |
REAL TRUTH:There are worse things to be sad about. That number is the least of our problems. |
@topup nice work |
Hi hotangel. dont expect you to remember me. Nice to meet u again on nairaland. You do deserve a prize or something tangible for being here for quite a while. I remember coming onto the site way back in the early days so I could gist and chat with you and people like Trae, Ra, Chigzy among others. You brought a spice into Nairaland in the early days. Started my own forum too but yet to meet my own "hot-angel " yet. Take care and have a good life. We never met in person but its been nice knowing you. Before I forget: Nice Poems. Hope you releasing a book soon. I am sure Nairalanders would purchase it en masse. |
@selencious OUCH. |
I work in a company where Nigerian engineers pull off great feats every few months. Engineers in my company routinely fabricate massive installations and produce them entirely within Nigeria. So don't try to negate what I see on a daily basis. Nigeria is simply a mentally poor country, thats why we are the way we are not because Engineers fail. In the last six months since I joined, I have met more innovative mechanical, chemical, electrical and structural engineers than ever. This country is f**cking talented (forgive the obscenity but you just have to see what some of these guys do on a daily basis). My instructors even bemoan the fact that my company went out to steal all the first class brains from the university. I see what these guys do on a daily basis and yet you tell me you can match up to that with your HND(oops That was too direct. sorry but it had to be said). We fail because we allow sentiment to rule instead of reason. We fail because we are content not to develop ourselves further but to bemoan our fate instead. We fail because our youth would rather bemoan their fate instead of taking life with both hands. Face reality and dont spend the next 10 years bemoaning your fate. Some of my bosses started as HND but by secretly going to night school or part-time or study leave, they have gotten degrees and even gotten as far as PHds. The money they make is more than some of the graduates that started work at the same time they left the polytechnic. MORAL OF THE STORY: Go back to school (whether openly or quietly) and assure your future. |
ITs all about what she wants to do with her life. |
Its obvious you are all Upstairs children and NONE OF YOU speak yoruba. Gidi means "Real". LasGidi would mean the "The Real Lagos". "Gidi Gidi" is just yoruba way of putting emphasis === ("Really Really"). Someone saying "Gidi must shele" or "Gidi must happen" would mean "something cool or tight must happen". |
zebra:Its not about quantity but about quality. Its about action guided by proper advanced thought as against mechanical practical repetition. Its about the difference between artists and artisans. The difference between being simply mechanics and being inventive and innovative engineers. Anywhere in the world, you TECHNOLOGISTS man the machines, we ENGINEERS tell YOU WHAT TO DO |
Another One? Well join the league of nairaland wanna-bes while some of us are on the way out of that league. Time to make a way. Its more sensible to create instead of compete. I have my own currently hibernating forum, so i am talking from experience. besides if u want a hosted forum thats not the way to go. Check topifyor ning |
I have a feeling that they are attracted to the guy but his English and his approach are killing his game. THis same question has put me in funny situations so many times. Question: Are you sure they are not staring back because you are staring at them with an interested look? For me, I usually JUST know. Example: I greet everyone and they answer in a normal tone but she answers me in a somehow breathless manner. I need to get something from her but find out she becomes uncoordinated when i am around (current situation. updates as situation develops). She keeps asking my friends about me but only stares when I am around. Two Most Obvious: Looks for any flimsy excuse to be around me. (This does not happen often). Excessively Officious or Strict (Forming to gain levels, defeated by flattery most times). That said, getting the person to like me is a whole different ball game. Cannot really help you with that cos we are learning (STRESS ON THE WORD LEARNING). |
But its just a thought that occured to me recently and I want to ask it here. If its clear that this is a trend, IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE MONEY OFF IT? |
1. Diagnose before solving. 2. Measure Thrice, Cut Once. 3. You Are Not The Smartest on the planet. Even If You Are, Respect Others. 4. No One is ultimately good, No one is ultimately bad. 5. love don't cost a thing. (Yes, but since its currently not in circulation, the fake ones do cost a lot). 6. Think Then Act (amazing how few people do ) 7. For Every Action, There is an equal and opposite reaction. 8. To achieve anything, build momentum steadily. 9. You can't do everything. 10. No one tactic fits all, the situation must determine the tactic to use. 11. (From Chess) Make no reversible moves if possible, and when necessary retreat faster than opponents can follow. |
I am getting on this thread a bit late since there are pages and pages of flame posts but let me put in my two kobo worth. I believe nigeria can advance if we all concentrate on improving our selves first. I am a computer programmer and IT Professional. If I were to move to the tip of my field, Nigeria will be better for it and I will be better for it. If I were to write software that makes the rest of the world salivate, CNN will report it as "Nigerian develops new ___________, wins ACM prize" or some other title (clearly I am not born to be a journalist) As the late michael jackson says (I'll really miss that guy) If you wanna make the world a better place, start with yourself Enough said |
@Soolari At least try to speak english a little so we can understand you. In case u were trying to spell, its Scolari not Soolari. lol. |
This will continue as long as nigerians continue to live with stone age mentality. Agreed its a necessary stage of development but most countries now use household gadgets like vacuums and services like laundries to make life easier and their chores easier to do. As long as banker ladies (and other working mothers) are willing to send one poor uneducated girl back and forth between school and home to get their kids (instead of the school bus), it will continue. As long as people are willing to have someone else's child illiterate and serving as shop attendant while their own kids prepare for MBBS, it will continue. Lets hope we go beyond this. tdmoggy:I am surprised you would actually come out to defend a scheme of servitude. A scheme that kept her in your house irrespective of her deeper wishes until you guys were old enough for your parents to come to the conclusion that her services were not needed. Thank God your parents were good-hearted people, but it still doesnt change the fact that they participated in a very bad tradition. A holdover from ancient times. I am not pretending to be innocent since I had househelps taking care of me when I was younger and as we speak right now, one is in my parents' home (though the workload is lower since all the kids are out of the home and the parents still 9-5 it most times). Lets not defend something shameful. |
@C2H5OH. like your id. might change mine to H2SO4 very soon. be careful i have a copyright on that. |
A Note of caution. You could get burned. I just got burned. September I invest 130k in Union Bank . this is November and 130k is now worth exactly 65k. Now I am hearing news that Union Bank is the greatest loser in Nigerian history (Yep LOSER, they should have that as a stock ticker cos they just declared the greatest loss-after-tax in nigerian corporate history). Measure thrice, cut once. That means you should be extra cautious and ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST ONE VALID REASON FOR ANY PURCHASE OR SALE. ALWAYS TEST YOUR REASONS. |
