Hi, boys in my university are soccer-mad or should I say Premier League Mad and as such If you have any contacts who sell and customize soccer jerseys i would appreciate it. My email add is mesaka4real@yahoo.com. Please just write Nairaland message so that the filter will place it in the right folder |
@ Ladapo Love the ideas but u did not include a phone no. I am interested in the used bookstore and the cafe ideas. If I wasn't so lazy, farming might have been a good Idea. I am also interested in the likely rewards of what I call real farming "real back-breaking hoeing and manual weed clearing while sowing yams and other tubers". @Seun best president indeed. we'll discuss that some other day . heard he guards his chickens using high caliber rifles(The unlucky thief loses a finger if not all). |
@freelancer I am in Bowen, as far as GSM recharge is concerned, the market is glutted. I just got a web design contract and I guess that might be the next best thing. I have started chasing the PROs of all the campus organisations to convince them of the necessity for a website. The funds are still available but I don't know what to do with it for now. |
i f she can program then let her write projects on stuff like :creating applications entirely localized in the Yoruba Language/something similar. She can write network apps with a little help in vb. she can create programs to automate inventory keeping(almost everyone does this or has done this.) Look for a business inschool e.g hospital and write a program to automate their record keeping and management. Or write a dissertation on new areas in computer science e.g mobile code, expert systems, artificial intelligence e.t.c |
soory that was meant for another post. i went to Enugu in 2000 and we were kicked out (thanks to me) by Ondo State by one point. They went on to win the competitiion. |

Nice thots, Nice thots, but let me test you with this scenario, you are a student in a private university where you can only travel once a month(and sometimes you can't). You have a hundred thousand in hand. WHAT CAN YOU DO? |
I saw someone make a reference to Ugo C Ugo. You must be a member of the younger generation, have you ever heard of ODIAKA? that text performs the same functions that Ugo currently does and was more comprehensive, I think it is now out of print but can't be sure. As to the others, let everyone know that nowadays choice of textbook is heavily politicised. If you are a writer with connections, your textbook or novel can become the recommended text for one or more states and possibly the federation and as connections go, they live and die and hence books that are being used today may be pulled off the shelves because they have lost their "long leg" backing. |
Whether you like it or not we are the only team in the top 5 that is constantly playing without a defensive midfielder. See how chelsea took back the midfield from us in the second half and consider all that Saha has been doing in the last three weeks (agreed he has saved us on many occasions and his goal against Chelsea was a masterpiece). WE STILL NEED A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER> |
Its all about mindset. When you have been preprogrammed to move from asking her out to the bed, its a bit of a drag for you to have to learn to just "go steady" and really get to know a person (and of course staying off sex). Since you have now become a believer, my advice is that you pray about it. That as we xtians believe is the solution to all problems. |
I am young enough to think thats cool. Lets hope it doesn't hit too hard in afric. Anyway we don't rely on the web that much. |
I have the same problem and I guess thats the solution too, though I am more interested in part-time work with many different companies. |
Get a vsat from DirectOnPc check www.directonpc.com for more details. They have numbers you can call and they have a Sole Or Home Ownership (SOHO) Plan. |
Its obvious that you make money from affiliates and thats why you are against anyone speaking against it but lets face it, it is dignified slavery. Thousands of poor guys working for 18 cents each, thats real bad. there are better jobs online that nigerians can do instead of being affiliates. They can be freelance proofreaders, programmers, artists, law advisers, web designers, web masters and data entry specialists. Lets free nigerians from online slavery and let them express themselves online in other forms beside being glorified salesmen. www.freelancer.com www.rentacoder.com |
@malaika we in nigeria will be working to make ours the best country for nigerians and africans in general. |
Me too |
ShHHHhhhh Snazzydawn, there's a class going on. |
I gues what Chaka's Zulus could not do, the criminals(not all black) are doing, I guess in the next fifty years, we might see a predominantly black south africa. |
Humans are not always reliable hence as much as possible rely on God and your own means, then humans. To excel in life, even if you don't tell others the truth, ALWAYS TELL YOURSELF THE TRUTH. Excellence is a better alternative to Success. |
Is it possible you could be wrong? |
@otolorin Yes I agree its a place for discovering skills and talents. Met a guy the other day that drew a picture of himself and some other guys. believe me when i say this picture looked like a black and white photograph. There are musical talents (Jennifer, Didi), there are programmers and there are soccer stars-in-the-making. If I could give a sermon in skool, it would be to ask everyone to feel ashamed if they graduate without developing a new talent. |
why not simply hand guns to those guys and open our gates? why throw people out of work if you cannot provide other forms of employment. Now you 'll have so many people competing for so little fares in the satellite town area all because you want to make money for some people. In a civilized environment, government should not be making the decisions as to who will be the market winner, let the consumers decide and let the bus operators provide service that makes them the consumers' choice. Arrant nonsense. |
Typical post-modern nonsense. Wisdom is the practical application of knowledge and The Bible and all such books aim to provide you with such practical knowledge. If you do believe such online flotsam that you downloaded, it must mean that you are either not allied to any religion or you are the member of a small misguided sect. As to the need for popes, bishops etc, talking from the point of view of true christianity, it is a religion of the mind and as Christ said "where two or three are gathered, there I am". A church is not a building, it is a group of people calling on christ. popes and bishops are just people like you, they do not answer your prayers and they are just there to aid your spiritual development. At the end of the day, you are going to be judged not on the basis of your church attendance or number of times you opened the bible but on how closely you followed God's rules and principles. As to reading and spiritual acheivement, the Bible counsels you to not just hear the Word but also DO IT. so that is a non-issue(what is the point of having knowledge if you cannot apply it?). What you are peddling is a sanitized Godless spirituality. You would like to see us dump all the world's religions in the hope of achieving some sort of World Unity. The world is not being held back by religion but by the vices inherent in man. @Reverend. By agreeing with it all in its entirety, you agree with the New Age notion that we are all a part of God and That we can become a Christ by simply following the "Path". that my friend is pure C*R*A*P. Make no bones about it, There is A God that exists separate from us, an intelligent, all-powerful entity. |
when do you need it? |
Lets wait until after the match but God help Arsenal if they should lose because I will haunt you all around the site. |
@KDK are you asking so as to gain knowledge or just to prove a point? I believe you have already formed your own conclusions on the matter but I will still ask you the What If? question. I mean what if there is a God? Then what happens to you? At the end of the day, you will still have to consider that question. @Seun Interesting that you should make such a categorical statement. You have obviously tested the idea of the existence/non-existence of a God and made the discovery that many ponder about. You have concluded after extensive rumination that he does not exist. Please enlighten us as to how you came about that conclusion and If possible tell us what you think would be the implications if there is and if there's not. @KAG have fun but at the end of the day, you will answer the same question. |
Just a question? Since a god is something to be worshipped, who will be worshipping you? If you are truly a pastor please stay away from any such doctrine that might lead your flock into damnation. How does that help them to know and be like Christ? The Only God is the El-Shaddai and as such i don't see why humans have to constitute themselves into gods. |
I don't have any favourites. Why? because i go to church not for the pastors but for the word itself. I have a tendency to sift out the wheat from the chaff when listen to sermons and i have found out that they all seem to have a lot of chaff mixed in with their wheat. I believe you shouldn't have favourite pastors. Remember what Paul said about Appolos and him. he said they were both working for the same God and it was wrong for people to ally themselves with different pastors when attaining heaven is the most important thing (mind you i am paraphrasing what he said). Just set your heart on seeking God and don't try to join any pastor's Fan Club. |
My class notes? tee hee hee. I am currently devouring my school library and right i have just finished a biography of Oba Oladele Olashore and I am reading "Tales from the Big Country" by Bill Bryson . will go back there to read History of the Yoruba race and Modern Researcher. |
this is the wrong board to post on, check the programming or the technology board |
the site looks cool enough but how much did they pay your friend? |
interesting idea. i hope you guys are using a language that can handle text quite well(eg python, perl, c++). preferably you can create a set of tokens form which all other yoruba names can be generated (as they say in mathematics, a basis for the vector space of yoruba names).(c++ uses a function strtok, you could study that and write yours) An example, Fakayode = Ifa+ko+ayo+de with special rules set up that determine how words combine together (in your ssce yoruba class, they possibly called it Isunki Oro). each of the words you need can be found by possibly getting as many yoruba names as you can get and then convince a yoruba speaker to identify the common parts of the names. As many as they may seem, I believe there is a finite number of names though others do come up daily but your system if properly developed should be able to perform nine times out of ten and in the special circumstance that it does not recognise the meaning, there should be a way for it to signify the error. I Hope i have helped you. |
