@chelseabmw, you mean the barca training session (starts fight and runs away with head covered.lol)
Kodewrita, Honestly you captured my attention by your contribution. However, I most remind you that Biafrans infact lost everything by 1970, even not enough of the collateral damage Awolowo, then Nigerian finance minister reduced every Igbo man savings in Nigerian and Biafran banks to 20 pounds irrespective of how much they owns, the rest was left for imagination. NdiIgbo are already used to wanton destruction and lootings of their properties on many parts of Nigeria even during our perceived peace time like now. Nothing can be loosed excerpt to bring situation to a desirable balance. let me confess that I will be a very mad man to invest my money in any other part of Nigeria excerpt Igbo land, even Igbo land will be a second though; we have stable places close home to invest, like Ghana, Benin Republic etc. What I am saying is he who is down fears no fall! Let’s divide Nigeria and pave way of stability for our future generations.
@ODI_BABA true but I still maintain that there's always a better way to do it and lets find it. The trend in the world is for countries to band together not breakup. Thats why you have the european union. At worst, lets turn nigeria into a nigerian union but still together with common currency, central bank, defence force and court of justice. might work. |
NOt bad but I hope lagerback achieves what I see him doing (building a new nigerian team). |
@yemipretty, the election angle makes a lot of sense. Guess they are trying to stock up but the issue is that after the elections, the boys will use those to start another wave of armed robbery. It should be pretty obvious that armed robbery seems to spike after every major election nowadays. God will save us all. |
Oops I omitted Nzeribe, Marwa, Dikko, |
@na2day Let me educate you a little. I have no time for useless fights anyway. thats asinine and immature. This is a discussion forum. And sometimes you ask questions to elicit further replies. He could have replied by telling me why I shouldn't or why I should. Please make this a more brainy or useful discussion by making your own comments instead of looking for petty brainless fights. enough said.
that is not an answer, that is a question! nigerians sef
@Abygul, thanks. its because there are people like you that we still bother coming back to NL. |
Its quite clear we need to decide how to maintain this union called NIgeria. It is clear we do not need a pancake faced madman called Ghadaffi to tell us how to do it. It is clear many people here are just responding without thinking too much. Biafra was not fun for those that fought it on both sides and besides Nigeria was not as militarised. If we do anything stupid, mass genocide will occur on a scale you cannot imagine. The war for oil will be so brutal for people in the ND because there will truly be no place to run to except to head for sea especially if war erupts on all sides. It makes more sense for us to conserve bullets and use them where they matter (the people stealing the money) than waste them on our hapless selves. An amicable breakup cannot happen in Nigeria. That is the simple fact. If you make a mistake of doing such, expect mass looting in cities with people forcibly expelling so-called foreigners (irrespective of whether they have married daughters of the soil or not). Lagos will be the worst as there will be serious looting and fighting in places you cannot dream of. If you think its a fantasy, let me tell you I was of age during the June 12 crisis (when we thought that was the end) and I know how people looted actively. I hope I have painted a picture of what to expect. Lets work with what we have and make it work instead of chasing Mirages (Odua (I am yoruba), Biafra, Izon e.t.c) Ghadaffi is simply an idiot. |
Thats natural, They simply want to have the option to post if necessary. That tells you the bulk of nigerians want to read not write. nothing new. |
He's responding to events in his own existence. My dad's like that too. It doesn't help matters that I finished with a great CGPA. He's convinced I should end the party with a PH.d. I believe he's trying to do what he thinks best for you while at the same time massaging his own ego (It would be nice to have a Dr Collins in the family). My own dad rested after the CGPA got me a monster high-paying job but you will find out that even if he stops chasing you, you wil not feel satisfied until you get there. |
Rephrase as Why dont MY girlfriends talk dirty? because you dont. I came in late into the dating game and one of the few things I found out as a late beginner was that girls seem to like talking dirty contrary to what you are telling us here. In fact its a sure way of getting to the finish line faster than any of your esoteric schemes. It gets the topic on the table and hopefully between the sheets. In conclusion, THEY DO BUT YOU DONT either because you are scared or too vulgar too early. |
@Poster , simply be willing to expect other humans to be LESS PERFECT. Its like a first class student who is so unrealistic as to only want to marry or go out with another first class student. Its people like that who marry at 35. If you relax a little or better stilll design your home in a way thats easy to clean so she wont get on your nerves too much. You Do Need TO Relax a Little. Its interesting that dating women has a way of highlighting your weaknesses and sometimes removing them. |
@Zebra, Much respect @Brusher, more power to your elbows. Zebra has said it all. |
@Last poster. thats not something spectacular. at least five of the banks on the above list send me christmas and birthday greetings. thats just some software code that does that. Though in a way it shows that they care about such stuff. But I like GTB anyway. I dont have an account with them but I am willing to try. They seem quite cool headed and they recruit the best and give some of the best service. Not as arrogant as Zenith or as corrupt as Oceanic(I never trusted those guys. dont know why). You get the impression that they are conservative and contented with a good rate of return without chasing impossible profits. |
Its a revelation. A post with 25000 replies and FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND Views. There's a market here somewhere. Well I hope the market gets over the headshot called 2009. We are young and need to make money. I just hope greed doesnt get the better of me. |
They better get used to it. We are not just conmen. We are hustlers first, conmen second(infact its just negative hustling, we are hustlers first and foremost). |

Are we sure you are not just trying to gimmick us into visiting it? |
@Pendelite. Is there a way for a moderately liquid investor with IT knowledge to join. I might know some newly rich who want to invest in good ideas. Would appreciate a reply. |
@insideview the stomach for risk and hardwork is there but since the source of the money is a highpaying, time intensive job, there's no time to monitor. If there's one problem with investing in nigeria, it is finding good people you can trust to manage your businesses. My current line of thought is to find businesses that can run on autopilot. though the only ones I have identified seem to have a herculean amount of hardwork at the start. |
Get a job that pays 150k monthly and spend 50k every month. simple arithmetic. or if you already have a job then find something that makes you 72k extra income every month. That will net you 1m every year. This is the product of years of dreaming about millions before the money came. |
I am not suprised my medical friends are chasing KPMG audit jobs. How can you school for 7 years in medicine and your governor decides Ukrainians or American are better doctors? |
nna, see dribble. this is what yorubas call correct "EGE irole" a.k.a "evening dribble" |
You have to admire a mad man who is so focused on his DREAMS. that pancake-faced dictator is so focused on becoming an emperor before cancer or HIV catch up with him. He should be more concerned with the possibility that Libyans would get smart one day and massacre his "royal" family en masse. Amazing that a president can survive with so many wrinkles. |
Are we supposed to be suprised about this? They are simply acting true to type. Home based players can be as good as those in foreign leagues (as already proved by coaches like westerhof) but I find it hard to believe that the team that went to that championship was selected on merit. Most likely, they were selected on the basis of connections and bribes. and are definitely overage (older than they claim). That is the exact problem we are facing. |

why he must be in dire need I dont understand. How he expects us to identify a blurred picture I still dont understand. This is one of the funny posts eh. Nairaland is one funny jungle. |
I dont understand how human brains work, thats why I cant explain how you came up with this. We all know the Egba were runaway Oyo or should I say Oyoid people who left after war sent them away from Ibadan (which is actually an Egba Military Outpost). Please Dont come up with spurious theories all in a bid to associate Yoruba history with Igbo history. Nairaland is interesting enough without all the tribalistic posts. capisce. |
Saw this on the news. From afar it seems like a mound of beans. Imagine what would happen if each bullet actually killed one nigerian each? |
The following names are now inspiring me to think big: Late General Sani Abacha: Looter and mass murderer IBB: looter Cecilia Ibru: Embezzler-in-chief Chris and Andy Uba: Political thugs/Embezzlers James Ibori:Embezzler Dikko: Political prostitute and secret embezzler Olusegun Obasanjo:Embezzler and coup plotter. Atiku: Customs looter/Privatizer-turned-pocketizer/Embezzler So inspiring, now to buy my AK47S. |
@Poster Congrats, but 500775 greeting cards would be a hard expense so I guess we'll simply say happy married life. Post the address online so as many Nairalanders in the neighbourhood can fall in (I can imagine your bouncers/friends fighting off a mob of well-wishers,lol). Happy Married Life Again |
Its funny but really workaholics tend to advance faster in life than other people. Its a simple fact. I am trying to be one too. however, I need someone a little less workaholic to balance me otherwise both parents will burn out. However she'll motivate me to work hard in my own workplace too. So the answer would be Why not. |
@Eazyman, I have come to the conclusion that humans are not perfect and love is a form of perfection and hence cannot exist. I prefer to define what I am searching for differently. I will settle for the kind of woman whose peace of mind seems to be directly linked to my happiness. Someone who wants to be with me more than anyone else. The sum total of all the actions of that person must add up to a deep desire to love and cherish me. I say sum total because I dont want to expect them to love me all the time. In essence, life will not give the ideal to you, you must create it yourself |
