TheSuperNerd: To be honest, don't expect anyone here to believe the bolded except me or a few others. Ofcos Amunike isn't aware and won't resort to such tactics but nope... some no go gree.
Truth is I know there are people who for once felt it was time a suitable local hand came in that truly suited the team and should be given free hand with the team and that guy was Amunike. But what I didn't expect is how badly they wanted this for Amunike. I am even shocked at the number of so called powerful individuals who tried hard to influence the NFF to name Amunike. Omo, e get people wey like that man ooo. Amunike na AJ man and he has people doing things for him underground, most social media platforms were rooting for him. I asked a friend are we into politics or what?cuz some even went as far protesting. NFF will not be comfortable hiring Emma |

robosky02: Hmm what more can be said
Without sentiment Amunike is the most qualified
In terms of Experience he has grown from the ranks.. coached in and out of Nigeria
As per certification he has all the papers. We even learnt Finidi George does have some of the papers CAF standard expect
Amunike has the toughness to inforce discipline after all he has played the game lake Finidi George and even this boys who he can take them... Apart from Osimhen who among the current players can boast of African footballer of the year award
Anyway NFF wants somebody that can do their bedding without saying no to some underhand practice we all know
They say Finidi George won NPFL I just laughed, if not for the super 8 when all the teams were tired expetially Rivers United on the continent and Bendel insurance Pls what is Amuneke doing presently. It’s simple Finidi assisted Peseiro and NFF needed to look inward for local coach and fortunately for Finidi he has been managing Enyimba and also eagles assistant,so what do you expect. Amuneke should find a club than lurking around for eagles job |

TheSuperNerd: Finidi was literally on the verge of being sacked by same Enyimba at one point. He won the league last season thanks to the abridged version and the help of Ukaegbu and others who prepped the team even when Finidi was away on NT duty.
Truth is we are giving all the credits to Finidi to boost him up but the main mind behind Enyimba's plays and training are Emeka Okwandu, Ifeanyi Harcourt and Lawrence Ukaegbu.
Finidi is coaching the most prestigious and richest club in Nigeria with several of the best players in the league. It's a piece of cake. A better coach will be topping the league with Enyimba and wrapping up the league. Not playing second fiddle to Fidelis Illechukwu (a guy I consider a better tactician than Finidi anyway). Emma Amuneke should just apply for Enyimba job if declared vacant |

Meliforme: Ademola Lookman is a player i highly rate, he is very good, but you see that SS thing, Boniface and Iheanacho has shown to be better. Oga you should know that my analysis is always base on eagles performance.Boniface is good and I rate him highly, his eagles career not yet really kick start,no thanks to injury but Lookman in eagles recently has done so well than just telling us Iheanacho would have done better. |

Meliforme: In the availability and fitness of Boniface and Iheanacho, no sound coach will play Lookman ahead of the duo in the SS role.
That Joe Aribo is ahead of Kelechi Nwakali in the pecking order does not mean Aribo offers more in midfield. Pls stop comparing what is not, right now I will pick Nwakali over Aribo but Lookman will start over fit Iheanacho. He is doing it week in week out in Atalanta. |

TheSuperNerd: To be Frank, if not for injury, Boniface would have started every game of the Afcon. I hope you know that.
A fit and inform boniface walks straight into the Super Eagles starting XI if a Coach knows what he's doing and how to best utilise and set up our attacking third. Boniface is the ideal man for any top man but I don’t like it when one is trying to downplay a player who is doing well…Boniface was absent but Lookman did well by raising his game and really surprised me. |

Meliforme: I got your angle when you highlighted Ademola Lookman's form and goalscoring abilities. If goalscoring were to be the yardstick, Lookman may still not get the nod
However, the criteria i used for the considerations were based on positioning and the abilities to work with the midfield which are very key to what an SS does. If we go by goal scoring in national team and club this season then Lookman is ahead. Based on your criteria?fine, but based on criteria we have seen recently in eagles Lookman is ahead until Boniface proved it in eagles. Sir give Lookman his flower, scored 3 goals in Afcon tournament is hugely impressive. |

Meliforme: In my appraisal Ademola Lookman can be rightlfully benched for the likes of Victor Boniface and Kelechi Iheanacho because the duo interprets the SS role better. Lookman as at today has proved that he is not a player to be benched in eagles….three goals in Afcon proved that, yes Boniface if he does it like he is doing it in Leverkusen but Iheanacho I disagree |

For an elite ex professional like him one will expect he will build a monstrous midfield. Well I hope he proves me wrong

This should not be Osimhen vs Tammy cuz the man did not mentioned Tammy but given accolades to Osimhen based on what he saw against Roma. Marjoribanks: Egbon I don't think I said he was bad! I said he has elite crossing but slow and only dribbles to his left. For me, he is simply overhyped. That's my stance. Based on what I watch this rating is crap. Bassey 5/6.4? Lol! Apart from the goal what else did Schulup do but was rated 7? Once you assist/score your ratings jump up whether you're playing crap or not. I don't base my assessment on that! Baba Marjori,I brought the rating out for those who didn’t watched the match.Hype or no hype, slow and dribbles to his left,Olise he has been consistently good this season for Crystal Palace.I will not compare but having such kind of player then Chuckwueze will sit tightly and up his games with eagles. |

comodo: In order words, no more consistent top performance in top 5 league thing. I am an advocate of if I'm getting low current from phcn and I see I pass my neighbour gen set. I will manage it first till I get full current. But some of us will rather stick with the low current because of hatred for the small gen set. Like my papa always say when he was alive. Na only one day witchcraft take senior hatred. Yes good to have players in top leagues but in some situations one just need to go low and get things done or else na gbege. It’s glaring that we are always finding it so difficult in the middle, funny eagles lose possession even to weaker teams, check out our match against Mali. |

TheSuperNerd: Really surprising how some don't rate Michael Olise. That lad will truly add a lot to the Super Eagles attacking dynamics with his crossing creativity and knack for the Creative Final ball. Also decent in offball work. Olise will add to the Super Eagles, no caps.
I have always said we need Nwakali for what he brings with his unique deep midfield profile but Olise also ticks the boxes with his own AM profile too.
But then, the lad, Olise still has his eyes and heart elsewhere. France is his priority for now. I don’t care where we get the midfielder from,we just need someone in that middle and if we failed to act fast we are not going to WC. |
