Yellowson:They have their opinion to make |
Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this...SOOOO GLAD I TOOK THE TIME TO READ THIS! The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see.. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side. Was that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now, if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'. But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because........... The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!' HE'S COMING BACK!!!!

CHIEF of army staff Lt General Tukur Buratai has castigated troops of the Nigerian Army and called them cowardly for abandoning their weapons and fleeing in the face of a Boko Haram attack at Geidam in Yobe State. Last week, Boko Haram terrorists attacked the town killing dozens in a bloody orgy, forcing local resident to flee. Lt General Buratai was unhappy about the fact that Geidam had a unit of soldiers' posters there who should have been able to fend off the attack but in the face of enemy fire they fled. Speaking in Lagos during his maiden tour of units and commands under the 81st Division of the Nigerian Army, Lt General Buratai emphasised the need for a serious review of the attitude of the troops towards the ongoing war. He noted that despite having the necessary weapons and equipment that will enable them protect themselves, civilians and properties, the soldiers in Geidam did not attack the insurgents. Lt General Buratai said: “Two, three days back, I was in Geidam and the attitude of our troops calls for a serious review because they have the equipment, weapons and everything they require to protect themselves and indeed citizens that are there. However, they just went and sat down without adopting the proper battle procedures. “I have given them very strong warning and some of you may find yourselves around that area and if you go there, you must behave very professionally. You must apply all the battle principles that you have been taught and deploy the weapons and equipment properly.” He added that he had to go to Geidam after the Boko Haram attack to see things for himself, assuring that the loopholes are being addressed. According to General Buratai, immediately after his visit, Boko Haram attempted to move into Geidam but the soldiers stood up and conquered that attack and pursued them and the terrorists have been on the run ever since. Lt General Buratai also warned army personnel to remain apolitical, stressing that their moves were being monitored and anyone found romancing politicians will be dealt with accordingly. He also insisted that the December deadline given by President Muhammadu Buhari for the military to end Boko Haram was achievable. - See more at: http://www.nigerianwatch.com/news/7955-chief-of-army-staff-condemns-cowardly-attitude-of-soldiers-who-fled-from-boko-haram#sthash.lUKucyRk.dpuf |

I report live now from the scene of the ongoing demolition in the heart of Kaduna metropolis around cameroun street( the popularly known printing village) by stadium round about. Some victims of the incidence were seen scampering to secure what's left of their valuables. Speaking with one of the shop owners who pleaded anonimity at the time cried and saying that the timing for the notice to vacate the area which is said to be close to government primary school was too short and that he had expected the sitting government to provide palliative as alternative means to cushioning the mass exodus and it resulting implication of their business and means of livelihood. Another corroborated the story but said that they were served only three month notice and wondered why they chose to carry out the dastard on a Sunday when most shop owner are Christian who evidently are in church worshiping. The cost imolicationmof this act direct and indirect in estimated to be in hundreds of millions. More details on the way.. |

My ex is fond of breaking up with me...I used to take her bad manner as a learning ground and plan for worst days knowing that one day she might just zoom of and never comeback, so I started preparing for judgement day. Funny enough I got used to her attitude, each time she threatens me with break up I will remain calm without fretting, she noticed am no longer worried and at some point stopped. The latest came few days ago when she called it off...on grounds that I must do white wedding in her church, I told her I won't that i'd rather we do it in my church or in a neutral place. Her mom won her over and made her walk out on our 3 years relationship with marriage plans on top gears, saying it must be on their terms or I forget about her daughter. I kept my cool and and left with the later option. Started all over without any relationship, needed to clean my life...reevaluate things at leat for another year before venturing again and then she came bugging my life with the message below. This lady has put my life in a fix....with lots of breakups and make ups...duno if to start again or not....a lot of my female friends have all left thinking am happy with her but am not...I do really want to move on but its hard when she come crying on the phone. I need your candid advise pls

I concur, our politicians knows this that's why they lie knowing too well that an average Nigerian take any garbage as truth with their bogus campaign promises. Imagine 1naira=1$ claim. Modern market oil trend will tell you that its mathematicaly 95% impossible. But since it came from commanding officer of illiterates to the hailing illiterates ...they all have a chorus chant....sai baba. Until we seperate numbers from rumours and mere wish, I am afraid our politico economic atmosphere will continue to show hurricane hovering above. |

Do they think this is GEJ era
Let them try nonsense and the whole Niger delta will end up in flames courtesy of the Nigeria Army. Buhari will destroy those spoiled brats. If you doubt me, ask the IPOB youths what their experiences has been so far with their Biafra agitation. We got new supplies of weapons and the international community is ready to support our darling president till he gets rid of boko haram, Militants and the Biafran mongers. Even Nnamdi Kanu is very afraid to come to Nigeria ever since Buhari was sworn in. No militant or Biafran will be allowed to rebel against this govt. We will defend Nigeria with our last bullet
