@olas24u
Living in Bondage is NOT the first film in English language.
It is an Ibo language film that was only subtitled in English.

It is even funny that a lot of Ibos do NOT realise that the
1st Ibo language film to be subtitled in English was AMADI
and that film was screened in 1975 in Lagos State. I still
have the magazine with the photographs of prominent
Lagos State government officials in attendance! They
keep making misleading comment online and offline
that living in bondage was the beginning of movies in
Nigeria. What a PATHETIC behaviour indeed!

Professor Wole Soyinka in 1969 produced Kongi's Harvest
which is Nigerias acclaimed 1st commercially successful English
language film. It was screened at the cinemas in Lagos.

History has to be returned to schools.

I copied you in my post directly above as well so
kindly read it.

[s]Local audience, All Nigerians (Ijaw, Igbo, Efik, Hausa, Ibibio etc) watched Living in Bondage, at least on average basis, chances are majority of Nigerian homes had Living in bondage VHS cassettes in its stock (I bet your family did as well if you are going to be honest). my point is Living in Bondage set the dynamics of movie production in Nigeria to its golden age, any other film produced before that died with a very narrow audience of mainly just yorubas.[/s]
^^^^^^
^^^^^^
^^^^^^
@BaaleOko

Living in bondage is an Ibo language film NOT an English film. It was only subtitled in English.

The man who produced the film, Kenneth Nnebue in a 1997 This Day newspaper, that I have
in my archival collections, actually gave credit to the Yoruba home video and movie industry
for inspiring him to produce Living in bondage part 1 in 1992 and Part 2 was in 1993.

Kenneth Nnebue said in that 1997 interview which I can upload when I check my Google
Drive, that he understudied the Yoruba home video and movie industry and actually worked
with them.

Kenneth NEVER claimed to be the one that started the home video industry... it is some
younger generation of Ibos who started spreading FAKE NEWS ONLINE and OFFLINE
that should be held responsible for the misleading info because HISTORY is not
being taught anymore.

Even entertainment journalists are guilty of NOT knowing the true history of the Nigerian
movie industry which STARTED with celluloid films, and then home video films in the 1980s
with the Yoruba sector. Some of those Yoruba films and home videos were subtitled
in English too. It is NOT true that they were not subtitled in English!

Kenneth Nnebue even indicated that Living in Bondage was supposed to have been produced
in Yoruba language, but eventually he did it in Ibo and it became a success, especially
among the Ibo who had asked him for something in the home video industry like the popular
Yoruba home videos that existed then! In the interview, Kenneth listed about 20 Yoruba
home videos that were produced before living in bondage and he also gave REASONS
why he used the English language as the title name of an Ibo language film. He
said he did not want people to think the film was a local film and that is why he did not
use Ibo language as the title of the film name.

Tunde Kelani of Mainframe was also producing fantastic home videos in the early 1990s
so it is not true that Yoruba videos were substandard and they were even subtitled. It is
a BIG LIE and propaganda being peddled online that Living in Bondage was the start of
the home video in Nigeria. Those of us who are older will tell you that we watched
home videos on Beta Max and VHS tapes.

This film was the 1st Ibo language home video and that is why it was popular among
mainly Ibo speakers and some who could have the patience to read the English subtitle.
Many non Ibos have not even watched that film till today!

Please note that Amadi was the 1st Ibo langauge film to be subtitled in English
and it was shown in 1975 in Lagos with Justice Adefarasin of Lagos State, and
other notable government officials in attendance! I also have a copy of that
magazine that reported the screening of Amadi in Lagos. When I have the
chance I will DISGRACE a lot of these Nigerians who like mangling historical
information by releasing all those historical documents to SET the Nigerian
movie industry records straight. The misleading information online and offline
has to stop.

The Yoruba home videos and celluloid movies by people like Prince Alade Aromire,
Ade Love who is Kunle Afolayans father were subtitled in English as far back as the
1980s. We had Chief Eddie Ugboma, Baba Sala, Prof. Ola Balogun, Ade Love,
Prof. Soyinka... and more who produced movies from the 1960s, to the 1970s, 1980s,
and then a group of misguided people will come out to FALSELY say that Kenneth
Nnebues home video started the film industry... but that is a BIG LIE!

Professor Wole Soyinka produced a POPULAR celluloid movie called Kongi's Harvest
which was screened at the cinemas in Lagos and elsewhere in 1969!

The Indian and American movie industries are based on multiplex cinema
attendance ... NOT on sale of home videos!

I hope this helps?

ahmedkoded95:
A popular Nigerian Medical doctor has taken to her twitter platform to school men who boast that the size of their eggplant can shift a woman’s womb.

Dr Olufunmilayo wrote:

During labour/delivery, When a woman’s cervix (the gate of the womb) is fully opened at 10cm, to allow a baby to come out, this is what it looks like. But men like to fool themselves and assume they can “shift your womb”. Yet 95% of peni.s width is under 5cm. Beautiful delusion.

But it takes 9months for the body to prepare for this” Exactly. Now think about it. If it takes 9months to prepare for a delivery of a whole baby, an act that doesn’t even “shift the womb”, is it your 3cm width penis that will make a difference? Lmao. Pls get the fvck.

Doctor this is not fair, stop attacking our ego as men” Ok let’s be serious. No sensible man should have ego built on sex or peni.s prowess. That’s ephemeral and daft. Build your ego, if you have to, on more serious and exemplary qualities. Not on numbers of “shifted wombs”…

And actually NO peni.s can ever actually shift a womb. To start with, very very few peni.s will even touch the cervix (the entrance of the womb) during sex. NOT to talk of hit it enough to have any impact on the womb. Let’s get serious. Womb shifting is a myth. Let’s drop it.

This is simple anatomy. And a touch of common sense. Nothing more. NO Peni.s can shift a womb. Quote me anywhere. And even if by any remote possibility there would be, maybe it’s the context of an adult man raping a toddler. Or something worse. But in normal situations? Nah.

Anatomically, during sex, the peni.s is mainly in the vagina doing an in-out movement repeatedly till orgasm. And that’s it. Very few people and very few times can it touch the cervix, if it ever does. And it will never be significant enough to cause a womb to shift. You get it?

Raine, you're a big fan of classical music?

Share some of them with me, and I just might like
some of them and put on my playlist for mental

Handel's "Water Music" classic which is sensual.
These classical songs can send you to nirvana

Its inspirational and when you listen to it deeply, you'll

Hi Raine,

I appreciate your detailed, and prompt feedback
to the mailed questions I sent to you on
Wednesday, last week. I have pondered
intensely... so expect my feedback.

You will have to GO BACK to your childhood
to see how, when and why this "childhood
insomnia" gravitated to "adult insomnia."
There is such a thing as childhood STRESS
and hyperactivity which leads to insomnia.

Being awake for 3 days has got to be
one of the most incredible 'biological snafus"
I've ever heard. You are a superwoman
to stay awake easily for 3 smoking days
!

1] Just as I told you on another of your threads,
when I feel like I CANNOT sleep, I simply take
a HOT BATH a few hours before my timed sleep
period.

2] Second, the aromatherapy massage works
for me for deep relaxation. Cedar, lavender, musk
are game for moi. I know you don't like lavender
though but everyone likes it. The wiring of your
nasal neurons which lead right up to the
neurotransmitter in your brain are wired
differently than the rest of the human
population.

By the way what fragrances of patchouli
packs do you absolutely love... aside from the
lavender which you don't like?

SIDE NOTE:
There are folks who CANNOT even
perceive any smell. I once met a guy
who said from childhood, he has never
perceived any smell till his adulthood.
So if there is smoke coming from the
kitchen toaster, he wouldn't even
know!

3] Exercises also work for me before bed time
and then I find it easier to sleep off.
I just do an imaginary skipping on the
SPOT and then I tires me out... and BOOM,
I just fall asleep... and this works for
a lot of people who are finding it difficult
to sleep.

When you feel like doing the exercise,
it can come in several stimulating
forms... without making it seem like
work! The Yoga and meditation you
talked about are brilliant stuff.
But you have to do some regression
into your childhood to get a final
solution to this.

4]Environmental Factors:
Last but not least, these factors distort my sleep.
So eliminating "noise," "heat," "cold", and very bright
lights enables me to sleep. Especially for me... bright
lights elimination when I have to travel via long-haul
flights helps me to cope with sleeplessness from
jetlags.

#Brilliant topic.

Your take care.

Wow! It will take me a longtime to be able to go through all the links you have given. Honestly, I appreciate the info you shared. I have read some books on Nupe people as well as other complicated written books on the Near East people with for and against ancient Hebrew identity and their migration from Middle East to Africa, then back through Mount Sinai; a place their Alphabets were discovered in 1905.

The history has that the ancient Hebrew moved freely and through enslavement to Egypt,Persia, Babylon, Greek land, Roman Empire, and other places. Still, I will definitely go through the pdf on Nupe and will post my view.

On the word Allah, it is known word which is of a semitic origin that has its cognates root in ancient Hebrew's word called Elah. And the history has that the large population of the ancient Hebrew, are now known in today's world as lost and being searched out and not yet found . As seemingly hard as this thing, it is unbelievable that the the ancient Yoruba are the ancient Hebrew(Ibri-Ivri),if one considers, pictographs and ancient Hebrew language . The reason is that, the yoruba language is actually Semitic in origin because Ur/Or, is a Yoruba word through the interpreted meaning by western linguists and foundational location.Although, there there are little infiltration of other people's language such as Bantoid,Greek-Roman,Kemet etc, because migration . How do I know this? It is because I have done the research on many words of Semitic origin and Yoruba even Allah which I will expose the meaning of as written as follow:

Arabic:Allah
Arabic:Ilah
Meaning: God

Ancient Hebrew: Elah
Meaning: God,creator

Yoruba: Ela
Yoruba: Ila
Yoruba:Orunmila

Meaning: creator, God represensative for creating mankind, spoken word of God, creator.

@Olu317

Hi once again!
I had to re-type this offhand in a notepad first
before posting here
.

WOW! Olu, you are indeed a real "Prince of The Source" for making the "Ila" semitic
connection or similarities in the name for God in Arabic, Hebrew, and Yoruba... Orunmila!
You are the FIRST person to ever point this out to me! That was really uncanny!

Semitic... in this historical context refers to the people who have mixed black and
white ancestries from the ancient times originally in North/East Africa and the
Middle East.

It would be nice to know if the Yoruba are indeed semitic or partly semitic
via DNA tests or that they simply ADOPTED some of these semitic loan words
during their long migrations of over 1000 years to their current locations
in West Africa, and interactions with other cultures via Egypt/Kush or
Sudan/Nubia or Mali/Songhai Empires. I believe that different peoples
coalesed via different streams of migrations to form the Yoruba peoples of
today. This is the same situation with most ethnicities or peoples all over
the world.

READ MORE HERE:
"West-African Yoruba DNA In Ancient Egypt"

===> https://www.abc.net.au/news/science/2017-05-31/who-were-the-ancient-egyptians/8572076
Mummies from ancient Egypt have revealed another secret — some of them share
very little of the sub-Saharan African ancestry that dominates the genetic heritage
of modern Egyptians.

DNA from mummies reveals that some ancient Egyptians shared very little of the
ancestry that dominates the heritage of modern Egyptians.

And yet, at some point in the past 1,500 years, there has been a major addition
of sub-Saharan genetic material — largely West-African Yoruba — into Egypt's
population
.

SIDE NOTES:
1. The use of "Ila" is quite similar to the Greek parent word: "Historia," which is
known as "Histoire" in French, and "History" in English.

2. The Yoruba word for History is "Itan," Nupes call it "Etan," Binis and Idomas call
it "Ita!"

3. The Arabic word for History is "Tarikh," the Hausa loan word is "Tariha," the
Fulani call it "Tareha," Swahilis call it "Tarikh" as well!

I am also aware that there are Arabic loan words in Yoruba language due to the
over 500 years of Islam in Yorubaland which originally came from Mali. "Esin Imale"
in Yoruba means the "religion of Mali." Iwo town had its first Mosque built in 1655!

Download below the brilliant and insightful 8-page PDF of "An Inquiry into the
Lexical Affinities between Arabic and Yorùbá Languages."
58 Arabic loan words
are found in the Yoruba dictionary. This is quite similar to the fact that about 40
percent of Spanish language having Arabic loan words as well. More on that in
the last paragraph of this post!

PERSIAN EMPIRE AND ARAMAIC INFLUENCES:
You do know that Aramaic was the lingua-franca of the Persian Empire, and the
ethnic groups all over the Persian Empire used Aramaic to communicate. I read a book
years back indicating that Arabic was NOT standardized with tonal dots, and marks like
you see in the tonal Yoruba or French languages for instance. It was centuries later after
the death of the founder of Islam that Arabic was standardized. I got to know from that
book that Arabic took several loan words from the Aramaic language!

Indeed the Jews or ancient Israeli were deeply influenced by their 3 Colonial Masters
in the Assyrian Empire, Babylonian Empire, and most especially, the Persian Empire.
Did you know that it was the Persians that created Judaism which is an imperfect
copy of the Zoroastrian religion of the Persians colonial masters. The story of the Old
Testament tells the story of Persian rule and religion over the conquered peoples.

The Magis are the ancient priests of the Zoroastrian religion of Persia or modern
Iran, and they share very strong religious similarities with the Jewish Rabbi priesthood.
Without the Magis who are the chief religious priests who are the Cup Bearers, the
Persian emperors could not crowned.

The Cyrus Cylinder and other BURNT CLAY TABLETS that have been very well
preserved for centuries show that the precepts of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
are direct copies of the Persian Zoroastrinism
.

Abstract: This article explains how Judaism was created by the Persians in the fifth century BCE.
Colonists were deported into Yehud. Their reward was to have control of a temple state which
collected taxes for Persia. Only priests of the temple state were Jews—a nation of priests to
serve Persians. - Dr M. D. Magee.

“The invention of the Jewish people”
January 25, 2014 at 1:14 am | Published in: Article, Middle East

The Invention of the Jewish People was a book written by Shlomo Sand, an Israeli professor
of history at the University of Tel Aviv.

The author wasn’t probing a belief system, but Zionist fabrications of a spurious common
lineage for people of the Jewish faith.

Sand argues the implausibility of Jews having a common ethnic identity as Judaism was
originally, like Christianity and later Islam, a “proselytising religion”.

The notion of Judaism as a “race”, rather than a religion of various races, is incompatible.

The results of a recently published study by Israeli-American geneticist Dr Eran Israeli Elhaik
at John Hopkins University have scientifically and genetically validated Sand’s research.

The idea of a “nation race” was progressively developed and reinforced over centuries of
segregated Jewish communities in Europe.

In addition to the descendants of the Canaanites, the original denizens before patriarch
Abraham’s arrival from Mesopotamia, Sand concludes that today’s Muslim and Christian
Palestinians are actually the true progenies of the original Jews.

So if there was no exile, where did European Jews come from?

Sand suggested that most of today’s Jews did not originate from the Middle East.

He argues that the Ashkenazi (European) Jewish ancestry can be traced
back to the Caucasus region.

In the 8th century, the Khazar’s subjects and subordinate tribes experienced the
largest religious conversion in the history of Judaism
.

The recent study by John Hopkins geneticist Dr Elhaik confirmed that the common
genome structure of the Ashkenazi (European) Jew gravitated towards an origin in
old Khazaria
.

“The majority of Jews do not have Middle Eastern genetic component,” he told
Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

Olu, on another note, did you know that about 40 percent of Spanish has Arabic loan
words as well
?

The Arabs and Berbers came via North Africa and ruled what came to be known as
Al-Andalus or Muslim Spain and parts of Portugal from the years 711 CE to 1492 CE
!

It was in not until 1492 that the indigenous owners of Spain and Portugal led by
King Ferdinand and Queen Isabela were ableto muster enough military power to
defeat and expel the Arab muslim rulers and their followers out of Europe. Spain
and Portugal would have been muslim countries today like Turkey if the military
events of 1492 had not taken place.

@ konquest, how are you doing? it seems you had BOT problem or something as close to such. Well, I have had such experience in the past and I discovered, it was as a result of long typing minutes, which resulted into this problem. Perhaps, you should follow this instruction as follow:

1. Type your messages

2. While typing, make sure you are 98% to end your typing.

3. Then copy your typed messages.

4. Go back to the quoted messages or to the main post if you didn't quote anyone

5. Thereafter, go forth to the space meant for creating new thread and paste the 98% messages of yours.

6. Complete it up with your remaining 2% to make your messages 100% good to go!

7. Post it.

How was your weekend?

Thanks for the feedback. I had already posted another message to you on this
thread on wed 3rd April 2019 successfully. Then I added the Web link of the
map of Muslim Spain of the years 711 to 1492 for you to see how 40 percent
of Spanish words have Arabic loan words and that is how the crazy NL spam bot
banned me.

I contacted the Super Mods section to UNTAG or UNBAN me, which I did
successfully in the past years, but I can see that the important post that
I made to you was NOT RESTORED by the Super Mods. This is very
strange. I feel pained because I had to type everything off hand and did not
save the message I typed to you. Seun needs to do something about
removing this spam bots completely from NL! The Super Mods too
are not functioning like before when they would have UNBANNED
or UNTAGGED a post within 10 minutes.

In 2018 I was conversing with Naptu on a Ben Enwonwu painting thread
and added an incorrect Web link of a YouTube video of Dr. Bruce
Onobrakpeya and his art works, then the spam bot banned me but I
was able to get it restored via the Super Mods.

It's alright, I can understand your view about the indecent emails.

Perhaps the indecent emails come from those you have carpeted for making
online love advances towards you in the past... and they find it hard to handle.
So, they revert to immature and ludicrous behavior by sending indecent emails.

1. Females and children especially get bullied or targeted the most on all Internet
platforms such as Twitter, FB, etc., according to research statistics. The BEST bet
is to ignore or NOT respond to such emails like you have done, and blacklist
unsolicited email addresses. Whenever I encounter a troll who quotes me on NL,
I simply ignore him... it takes the "winds out of his sail" and that fixes him up!

2. Alternatively, use the "(Report) button," [which is next to the (Quote) (Like) (Share)

about any troll on NL... and give specifics via the link below

3. I've used NL since 2005 and never had such nasty email experience. NL is a
fantastic online resource or discussion forum, and I have met and interacted with
real men and women, professionals and fantastic folks from across the world
on NL. So, it is important to use your discretionary powers to discern who
you want to follow and interact with, so you don't miss out on the opportunities

Discussion forums such as NL... from around the world have been known to

I was once on a plane flying over the Atlantic on an Airbus A310
in 1988 and we experienced a very violent turbulence, I braced up
and thought it was all over for all of us, because the lights onboard
the plane went off and the plane started dropping sharply, like
it was going to drop into the Atlantic Ocean!

Fortunately, the plane stabilized again after what seemed like
a long time to me, and some passengers jubilated over that. grin
The Lebanese man sitting right in front of me shouted "up NEPA"
when the lights came back on and the pilot spoke to us for the
first time after the violent turbulence.

I am much calmer now during turbulences... but that was
my first time encounter!

I agree with the information you shared thoroughly because I have come across some of the information you posted as well. Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate. I won't take away the fact that people like you and the well studied ones on NL are the reason I am always careful to differentiate fiction from fact, when I post, which is the reason I am always on my toes.

As regard your question, I am academia who is an idependent researcher with loosened affiliation with a semitic research Centre. The reason for this loosened affiliation is a lesson learned in Bishop Samuel John (Ayo Ogun) travail because I dont intend to over expose by research work which critics must have different perspective that know of. In fact,I intend to keep it this way until the book on Yoruba people whose spoken language is Semitic origin via my research and whose history is tied Ancient Hebrew in Middle East and Kemet before migration Egypt and to Middle East where they excelled through their knowledge of Cosmology and religion. And eventual return back through Egypt to present day Nigeria.

As it stands, the oranmiyan obelisk and other work in that manner are the artifacts the ancient Yoruba ancestors use as a medium of information of writing that the ancient Yoruba left for us to unravel their identity. Interestingly, these artificats are Semitic works, obelisks i.e similar are of Semitic origin.

Now the question on people's mind is: Do I know the meaning on Oranmiyan's obelisk? Yes I do. How ? It is just studying the ancient kemet pictograph and Semitic hieroglyphs and comparing with the obelisks found in Yoruba land. In actual fact, anyone can solve it .

Do you know ‘al' a prefix if added to agbara becomes alagbara(all powerful) is the ancient discovered alphabet of the ancients Hebrew in Egypt whose first alphabet is ‘al/el—modern Hebrew ‘al—eph' ? Even the second letter is Beyt. Yes it is, because in,‘1905, was the year Flinders Petrie, a renowned Egyptologist and pioneer in modern archeology, discovered inscriptions of previously unknown symbols at Serabit el-Khadim. Thereafter, Dr. Alan H. Gardiner, Another renowned Egyptologist, studied these inscriptions in detail. He discovered that these Sinaitic inscriptions consisted of a total of thirty-two symbols. Because of the limited number of symbols Dr. Gardiner determined that this was an alphabet.’

Interestingly, the above information showed the desperation western researchers in seeking out the identity of who were known as ancient Hebrew that lived in Egypt with their foot print and with a tremendous population that disappeared along the Sudanese belt remained a mystery. Based on this do I realised that ‘Pitchfork' sign and this symbol is what's on Oranmiyan obelisk and this inscription has meaning in places they were found,in which non was found along Yoruba people in sub sahara Africa. ....... grin Let me stop here because I already gave out a sacred information for self, until proper time. Despite many postulation by many researchers, fact'll eventually emerge through well researched work.

Note:
I don't know much about osugbo.

Have a joyfull time out there.

Deconstructing the walls of Jericho
Friday, October 29, 1999

"Following 70 years of intensive excavations in the Land of Israel, archaeologists have found out: The
patriarchs' acts are legendary, the Israelites did not sojourn in Egypt or make an exodus, they did not
conquer the land. Neither is there any mention of the empire of David and Solomon, nor of the source
of belief in the God of Israel. These facts have been known for years, but Israel is a stubborn people
and nobody wants to hear about it."

ARCHIVAL MATERIAL #2. The Bible Unearthed: Archeology’s New Vision of Ancient Israel and the
Origin of Its Sacred Texts by Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman.
383 pages long, The Bible
Unearthed is an excellent primer on current scholarship (as of 2001) as it relates to the historical
events recorded in the Old Testament.

It demonstrated using lots of archaeological evidence that many stories in the Bible DO NOT TELL EVENTS
and how history suggested they occurred, while other stories proved to fit perfectly in archaeology.
It
explained that some stories, such as the wandering of the patriarchs, the Exodus from Egypt, the
Conquest of Canaan, and the United Monarchy under David and Solomon may not have happened
and rather may be based on stories indigenous to the people of Israel.

This presents a problem with the Biblical account which is very similar, but also very different:
Isaiah 44:28 [Thus saith the LORD] That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my
pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
Isaiah 45:1-3 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations
before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall
not be shut; 2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates
of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: 3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden
riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the
God of Israel.

The account on the Cyrus Cylinder - presumable dictated by Cyrus himself - says that it was MARDUK who
called Cyrus "by name" and "held his hand" and made him a "shepherd" of many peoples. The Bible says
the same thing, except it REPLACES the name of Marduk with Yahweh.

So which is right? It seems to me that the authors of the Bible rewrote history to include Yahweh
when Cyrus was actually attributing his success to Marduk.

The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred Texts
is a 2001 book about the archaeology of Israel and its relationship to the origins of the Hebrew Bible.
The authors are Israel Finkelstein, Professor of Archaeology at Tel Aviv University, and Neil Asher
Silberman.

They wrote in the Introduction, "Not since ancient times has the world of the Bible been so
accessible and so thoroughly explored. Through archaeological excavations we now what crops
the Israelites and their neighbors grew, what they ate, how their built their cities, and with whom
they traded... Dozens of cities and towns mentioned in the Bible have been identified and
uncovered... But that is not to say that archaeology has proved the biblical narrative to be true
in all of its details. Far from it: it is now evident that many events of biblical history did not take
place in either the particular era or the manner described. Some of the most famous events in
the Bible clearly never happened at all."

ARCHIVAL MATERIAL #4. Pre-Islamic worshipers in Mecca and Medina,
parts of the Arabian Peninsula and parts of the Middle East worshiped
the moon God called Al-Iah or the God.

Modern archaelogical findings show stone artefacts and paintings
devoted to the worship of the moon God, based on polytheism.
The Kaaba was a moon worship location with pilgrimage visitations
to the Kaaba, before Islam evolved as a syncretic religion. It was into
this era that Mohammed the prophet of Islam was born and grew up
in to adulthood.

Dr. Arthur Jeffery, one of the foremost Western Islamic scholars in
modern times and professor of Islamic and Middle East Studies at
Columbia University, U.S.A., did a lot of work on pre-Islamic
history and arrived at these conclusions in one of his books,
(Islam: Muhammad and His Religion, Arthur Jeffery, 1958, p 85).
==>http://www.bible.ca/islam/library/islam-quotes-jeffery.htm

Islam is syncretically built on pre-Islamic moon worship. This is why you find
the moon crescent on mosque minarets around the world. It was caliph Uthman
that codified the teachings of the evolving new religion through abrogations,
after the death of the prophet of Islam, because there was NO one
standard teaching in Islam... and this led to a deadly 5 year Civil War
called fitna by muslims.

This is why there is a difference... right up till today in the interpretations
of the Koran and the Hadith by Muslim groups or scholars. Sunis and
Shiites brutally fight and kill one another through violent bomb
explosions in mosques and bombs planted by road sides during
processions by rival groups!

The name Allah, as the Qur'an itself is witness, was well known in pre-Islamic Arabia.
Indeed, both it and its feminine form, Allat, are found not infrequently among the theophorous
names in inscriptions from North Arabia. The common theory is that it is formed from ilah, the
common word for a god, and the article al-; thus al-ilah, the god," becomes Allah, "God."
This theory, however, is untenable. In fact, the name is one of the words borrowed into the
language in pre-Islamic times from Aramaic.

AutoReportNG:
A verse in popular hymn says, Fading away like the stars of the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun- thus would we pass from the earth and its toiling, Only remembered by what we have done.

We know this hymn is mostly sung at funerals and when they are doing set-forth for friends, colleagues or people who have retired in active service. No matter how far we are in a position, one day, we will leave and our works will be remembered as either good or bad.

Just as the popular saying goes, what has a beginning will surely come to a logical end one day. Gradually the days are drawing closer, in a twinkling of an eye, in exactly 2 months from now, the baton of leadership will change hands, Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode will cease to be the executive governor of Lagos but his works, ideas, and contribution in making Lagos a mega-city will forever linger on for ages.

Part of Gov. Ambode's legacy is the Airport Road. The Airport Road used to be a nightmare to all road users, it was so bad that Ambode has to take permission from the Federal Government to rebuild this road, according to him, first impression matters, those coming to Lagos for the first time pass through this route all the way to Oshodi, what impression are we giving them if we can not build a road leading to the airport.

The road construction started 2 years ago, though the work was meant to have been completed since October last year we sensed its due to the political tussle in the state. According to a post by Tony Nwajei who gives a first-hand reportage of the site...

AMBODE IS THE MAN!
I was taking someone back to Murtala Muhammed International Airport yesterday but she stayed glued to the on-going Oshodi/Airport road construction to the extent that she couldn’t help but ask if the projects is FG’s because of the gigantic size and I responded that it is Ambode’s led Lagos Government project. That moment I noticed she was stunned and she quickly adds that If a Governor could do this much and still could not get another chance to do more then something is wrong somewhere!

If you understand the relevance of this road to the former Nation’s capital or have plied this route in time past you will understand her interest on that road.

Irrespective of the prism you view him, Ambode remains No 1 performing governor till date considering the uncountable people-centered projects currently on-going across the nook and crannies of the state.

Despite the fact that he will be vacating Alausa Government House come May 29th, he is one governor Lagosians and Nigerians will not forget in a hurry!

I pray the incoming governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu takes the baton firmly from him and ensures it never drop.

From AutoReportNG, we say a special shout-out to this silent trailblazer.

Brilliant post. That international airport road has to compare with
some of the best airport entry and exit routes I have seen on
some of my international air trips. No settling for less.

Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode has been quite innovative and the Gov-elect.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Gov-elect. Hamzat have to up
their inner games too to leave a legacy behind.

Hi Raine,

Hope you're doing okay?

I have a bit of jet lag right now from a rather long international
flight by air... and I have to quickly send this post... to you for
your response.

I sent you TWO e-mails or PMs via the NL platform within
the week, but I haven't got a response from you. I know
YOU must have seen the message like this:

"Kon.quest has e-mailed you. Please check your e-mail now."
on your NL profile page... indicating that I sent an email to you.
I just need a quick first and second opinions from you on some
specifics within your medical/obgyn line of duty, and more.

1. Check your e-mail inbox or spam folders, because sometimes
messages get SENT to the spam folders... and do reply me via
your email ASAP so that I can send you a FULLER INFO.

2. Alternatively, simply go to my NL profile page and click
on the "Send E-Mail Message To Kon.quest" link... just right above
my profile picture with the men in raised black power salutes.
Click SEND and the pre-written e-mail message will get to me.
I will then get back to you by e-mail with my FULLER INFO.

I indicated in the P.S. section of one of my posts on this
thread page that I would send you an email, because I DO
NOT want to post very confidential information on this
Discussion Forum.

You take care... and "keep SHAKING the tables."

@UyaiIncomparabl
How has your day been?

I read the first 2 pages of this thread topic for the first time last week and
you painted a very vivid picture in my mind's eye... and it's one of the
TWO major reasons why I followed you on NL. So I gradually typed my
reply entirely off hand on my mobile device.

I have a bit of jet lag right now... after a long international flight, and I
haven't been so active on NL within the week, so let me post this right
away.

Well your post was on December 25, 2018, but I can still write a few
laser-targeted words. I've read many books on human psychology, and
attended certified courses and seminars on emotional intelligence. My mother
was a senior medical practitioner, and I have had the opportunity to read
a lot of thick medical books... So, I've got some brilliant medical and
non-medical ideas as to what may have happened to you... so lets
dive right in!

First off, I must commend you for opening this very profound thread to
share your feelings. This is one of the best threads I have ever read since
I started using NL in 2005. A lot of men for instance don't like to talk about
their feelings because they think they will be looked down upon as being
less of a man. So, you as a young woman are NOT mentally deranged
or a sadist and I will NOT say you are bipolar, but do also see a psychiatrist or
psycho-analyst in your city of residence who can FURTHER evaluate
you... and catch any other thing that may be FLYING below the radar!
I am sure you know that a psychiatric hospital doesn't mean you
are mad or mentally deranged. Psycho-analysts work in psychiatric
facilities too.

#1. RAGING HORMONES: From reading your post... you may have had raging
HORMONAL issues, or you probably were subconsciously worried about unmet
expectations in the year... when things are not PANNING OUT in the
exact way want it.

However we look at it, female hormones such as estrogen and progesterone
secretions, can clash together during your monthly menstrual and ovulation
cycles, and they are directly linked to the Central Nervous System.

Pre-Menstrual Syndrome or PMS occurences are one of the TOP 5
reasons that are responsible for marital divorces worldwide. This is based
on credible medical research!

Women having PMS especially from the ages of 20 to 50 can display
all kinds of emotions from crying without cause, anger, anxiety, irritability,
depression, fatigue, self-isolation, and a whole lot of negative emotions
which are not there fault!

A lot of men do not know this fact... and so they lash out at their female
spouses and the women then also overreact with more disrespect... and
then BOOM DIVORCE sets in.

A second variant or type of this situation is the Post-Partum
depression which occurs in pregnant women even before
giving birth. It is very insidious and fully manifests when
a woman delivers her babies and due to hormonal imbalances,
she is not able to cope with the pressures of being a new mother
or second time mother. Women have been known to harm
their babies in the process. So, having a family member to
help out with the care of the baby might help to relieve
the mother till she is able to overcome the raging hormonal
issues.

#2. STRESS: Stress is a major trigger of the kind of REACTION
you posted about. I have found out that technology and ICT tools
can cause distractions and we are put under stress to respond
to emails, return SMS messages, phone calls, chat on FB, post
on Twitter, log on to Instagram and get put under SOCIAL
PRESSURES to keep up with the Joneses, watch YouTube
channels we have subcribed to, and more!

Better to turn these devices off and take some rest, because
stress that comes from using ICT devices breeds anger and
anxiety if used too much. And that brings us to the issue of
Time Management in the next key point below.

#3. STRONG TIP: TIME MANAGEMENT
Let me share with YOU one of the TIME MANAGEMENT strategies
I've used for years to achieve more everyday.

"Do something POSITIVE everyday. " The MORE POSITIVE things you
do daily, the more your self-esteem GROWS. The LESS POSITIVE things you
do daily, the more your self-esteem DROPS. Focus on the Top 20% of the
most important things in your daily to-do-list... and DELEGATE the
remaining 80% of your daily to-do-list.

You can achieve MORE POSITIVE things by using the Pareto Principle
which states that 20% of the things you do will give you 80% of your
RESULTS. This Pareto Principle works in all spheres of human
endeavor. From academics, to investments, the 80/20 Principle
or Pareto Principle truly works! There is a popular book on the
80/20 Principle by Robert Koch in my personal library collections,
so you can get to buy one from a book store at an airport, hotels,
and malls in your area of residence, which I assume is Lagos.

#4. USE ESSENTIAL OILS OR PATCHOULI:
Lavender, lemon oils or any other essential oil fragrance you like for
AROMATHERAPY body massages. I use this too...and it works fine.
Fragrances have ways of soothing or calming the nerves by working
on the neuro-transmitters in the brain. This helps to destress anyone.
Get this from a health store or a mall near you. Perhaps you could do
price comparison shopping online and get these things cheaper by using
some of the good NL shippers.

SUMMARY:
Read up more on these 4 key points at your leisure.
You are not mentally deranged, but you show a great deal of
self-awareness in your post by speaking out... and I like that in
a woman. Your writing is neat, and you seem to be a very
smart young woman too.

I hope this helps!

Cheers!

P.S. #Great thread!
Travel › Re: A Review Of Lagos Transportation System From The Colonial Days Till Present by Konquest: 3:08am On Mar 29, 2019
AutoReportNG:
Lagos has come a long way in terms of development and all it makes it to be a mega city. Lagos was once a place where the colonial masters before the independence day take as their headquarters and where civilization starts from in Nigeria. Lagos being a center of aquatic splendor is surrounded by water. It is estimated that Lagos is 65% water and only 35% an Island. In a piece attributed to Naptu2, it was said that an important factor in providing transport facilities in Lagos state has always been the aquatic nature of the state.

Lagos Island which covers a mere 1.55 sq. miles was a rather small piece of land. Yet, up to 1950, 65.4 percent of the population lived there. No doubt a contributory factor to this situation could be found in the lack of adequate transport facilities which would have encouraged people to live on the mainland and shuttle to the island daily for business.

It should be noted that besides the small size of the island, many parts of it were also swampy or waterlogged”.

Boats, therefore, became an important means of transport in the area now known as Lagos.

Scholars are now suggesting that boat making industry thrived in Lagos as a result of the availability of more durable wood supplied by her eastern neighbours.

The situation changed with the commissioning of the Carter (1901), Eko (1975) and Third Mainland (1991) bridges which connect Lagos Island to Lagos Mainland. Road transport gained primacy as the most important means of transport in Lagos.

In this piece, we will look at Lagos transformation in terms of transportation. It should be noted that Lagos is swampy but it has managed to beat all odds by staying afloat in terms of transportation and its still gunning for its mega-city status. It is worthy of mention that Lagos has used all means of transportation from rail to sea and to road transportation. Our study is analyzing the development in terms of road transportation in Lagos but this can not be done without first looking at where Lagos is coming from before advancing to this present stage.

1. Boat/Canoe

Before the arrival of the colonial masters, Lagos has always existed. Lagos residents make sure of canoe and boat as their means of transportation at this time. People living in Badagry can only get to Isale Eko only through this means and other parts of the state. It should be noted that besides the small size of the island, many parts of it were also swampy or waterlogged”.

2. Tram Train

What many do not know is that Lagos has always made sure of train services. According to reports, in 1895 the Lagos Government Railway began to force its way from Iddo, on the mainland, to Ibadan and was opened six years later on March 4, 1901. Carter Bridge was completed the same year, construction having commenced in 1896, to connect Lagos with the mainland. Because of the mistake of terminating the railway at Iddo, Lagos, the administrative capital and port of the Colony of Nigeria, was without any public (or indeed, at that time, wheeled) transport to connect it with the railhead. The opening of the Lagos Steam Tramway took place on May 23, 1902.

These following vehicles have grace Lagos roads since bus transportation is introduced to Lagos in 1920.

3a. Road Transportation

In the 1920s, road-based bus transportation was pioneered in Lagos by two Nigerians, Mrs Charlotte Olajumoke Obasa (a leading indigenous entrepreneur of that time) and W.A. Dawodu. This was followed by the establishment of J.N. Zarpas, a company owned by Levantine expatriates. According to the report, The total sum of £500,000 paid for the Zarpas assets included £392,183 for the fixed assets, £85,185 for goodwill; and £22,632 for current assets. The company was re-named the Lagos Municipal Transport Service (LMTS). This meant that the government had taken over the bulk of the municipal transport service. Zarpas dominated the Lagos transportation scene until their buses were acquired by the Lagos Town Council in 1958 to form the Lagos Municipal Transport Service (LMTS).

b. Bolekaja

For those who are old enough to see these buses on Lagos roads and in some states across the country, they are the major means of transportation. As a little boy going to school in Apapa, Bolekaja used to be the means of transportation to my destination in those days. Bolekaja debuts in the 1960s and it is owned by the Yorubas who decided to go into the transport business. Bolekaja, which literally means “come down and let’s fight” in Yoruba is an average sized wood axial lorry that had only one wooden door at the passenger cabin at the back for passengers to embark and disembark. The sitting arrangement in the lorry (which was often overcrowded) and the single entrance and exit point often led to fisticuffs between passengers who would tell each other to “come down let’s fight” (bolekaja).

Bolekaja were usually made from Bedford lorry heads and locally made wooden passenger compartments. The government later banned the use of bolekaja for commercial passenger transport services and they are now used to carry foodstuff in rural communities. Bedford buses are still used by those selling sands, gravels and other building materials in Lagos and some parts in the South West.

c. Molue

As at 2009, Molues are still seen in some parts of Lagos, a visit towards Oshodi, Sango-Ota you will still see them operating. Molues have come a long way with Lagos. Molues took over when the government banned the use of Bolekaja for commercial passenger transport services. The molue is a large commercial passenger bus usually painted yellow and black. When bolekaja were banned, some transport operators replaced the wooden passenger cabins of their bolekaja with locally made metallic bus compartments. Thus the first molue buses were of the Bedford variety. However, with time, the Mercedes Benz 911 flatbed truck, which had been fitted with locally made passenger compartments became the preferred brand for molue operators.

It is not clear what the origin of the term molue is. Some say that Molue is the corruption of “maul him”, a description given to the vehicle by the city’s elite who are piqued by the incessant manner the large-bodied buses tear clothes and even flesh of passengers while either entering or disembarking as they reach their destinations. Others say, no thanks to the recklessness of ‘Danfo’ buses (smaller commuter buses especially the Volkswagen types), conductors on the converted buses often admonished their drivers to ‘Molue’ (a corruption of the word remould) the smaller buses when they obstruct the larger ones. From that moment on the term, ‘Molue’ became associated with the big bully nature of the 911 model of commercial vehicles in urban Lagos”.

Molue buses were a common sight on Lagos roads. They were the king of the roads. From Ojota to Ketu or Ikorodu and from there to Iddo, a major terminus made popular by the now comatose railway system, to Oyingbo, a bustling transportation haven to Oshodi, Costain, to Obalende, and from there to Apapa, then Orile, Iganmu to Mile 2 and further still to Okokomaiko, on the ever-busy Badagry highway and on the southern fringes of Iyana-Ipaja, Pen Cinema, Egbeda, to Idimu and Ijegun, and other emerging satellite towns of the state, such as Alimosho, the Lagos Molue at a time, captured the terrain, becoming an opium of the commuting masses.

These buses were so popular that they were even printed on postcards, greeting cards and favoured as the face of a developing city-state of Lagos. Because it carries more passengers, fares on Molue are often times cheaper than the smaller commuter buses. The afro-beat maestro, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti sang about them in his song “Suffering and Smiling”, singing that in a molue we had “44 sitting, 99 standing”. The 1980s group, “Too Cool for Zero” also paid tribute to the king of the road in their song “Molue, Lagos City Transport”.

From wherever you boarded them, a ride in a Molue was an admixture of fun and tears. There, you might be unlucky to have your pocket picked by one of the extremely smart street urchins regarded as area boys, who deliberately crowded the two entrances, making ingress and egress a headache to passengers.

There was no decency inside the Molue. After filling all the seats, the spillover passengers were made to hang on a rail in what was usually called ‘standing’ in the buses. Passengers were so tightly packed that they made nonsense of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s mimickery of their plight in the song, Suffering, and Smiling. The air inside the Molue most times are stale, passengers have to cope with the body odours until fresh air permeates the vehicle.

“O wa legbe e o, (there is a vehicle by your side), Wole wa, (enter this side of the road), O nbo le (a passenger is dropping) or more lewd ones like; Wole pelu senji e o, (enter this bus with the correct fare), O loyun o ponmo o (this passenger, obviously a woman is pregnant and carrying a baby), are few of the jargons of the Molue conductor.

The driver is ever in a hurry. Apart from when it takes off from its major park, Molue never stops. Whether you are dropping off the vehicle or boarding, you have to develop a running foot, as you practically jump off, or rush in, on the motion. This act which has become the Achilles heels of many hapless commuters have somewhat become the defining mode of recognizing who just migrated to Lagos and who is a resident.

d. LSTC

In 1962, the Lagos Town Council was re-named the Lagos City Council and the name of the transport service was correspondingly changed to Lagos City Transport Service. Following the creation of Lagos State in 1967, the state government took over the running of the transport service and, in 1974 renamed it the Lagos State Transport Corporation (LSTC). A veritable successor to the Zarpas transport service, the L.S.T.C. took off from the old buildings of the Levantine firm.

The Lagos State Transport Corporation (LSTC) was a state-owned company that ran transport services in Lagos. The buses were mainly Mercedes Benz buses which were painted red and white.

They had a free service, called scholars bus, for (uninformed) school children and they also had air-conditioned buses for regular fare-paying commuters.

There were bus terminuses and depots at Keffi Street Ikoyi, Simpson Street Lagos Island, Race Course/Tafawa Balewa Square, etc.

Governor Rasaki abandoned his official car and used coaster buses instead because he felt that his motorcade would be too long if he and his commissioners used their official cars. He donated the coaster buses to the LSTC when he was leaving office in 1991.

The LSTC covered routes beyond the old metropolitan boundary, as it was a state rather than a city enterprise. On the whole, its record of operation was generally unsatisfactory: in no time, the corporation was run aground as a result of mismanagement and sabotage. The corporation’s buses were over-manned, with as many as twelve employees per bus! They were slow and overcrowded and, compared to the “molues” and “danfos”, wasted a lot of time at the bus stops.

Olu317:
Greetings to you konquest,
Pardon me for the late response.

My research on Àkún-Àkú, proves that it was distinctive name for yoruba salutation during the ancient times, if one consider the meaning of it which is strength or power or good or hale and hearty or well being because ,the name was borne out of salutation to elderly and everyone else to affirm if such woke up healthy and whole or done something; work etc which attract such word . And gradually, it became Okun, which is due to stretch of the word and modification of Yoruba language in Oyo Yoruba dialect.

In fact, AKWAABA in Ghana is Àkú Àbó(wellcome, return well, arrive well etc), which is a loan word from Yoruba language through migration of some Yoruba people to the Ashanti kingdom. While Yoruba realise the need to fraternize with themselves as their identity in the past and till today. Interestingly, the same word was known in ancient Egypt(kemet) as Hekau, with same meaning as power, strength. Thus, Yoruba identity through her language has always made them outstanding in their sojourn into any Land.

Unfortunately, a lot of modern day Yorubas especially the academic don't appreciate this distinctive identity of Yorubas because some of them are always desirous to ridicule Yoruba identity to West Africa, which the ancient Yoruba ancestors were NOT because they were with the knowledge of ritual language of nature's which led to the foundation of modern religion in the world; christainity and Islam. The ancient Yoruba were the people that drifted away from the Kemet language. Below is a classic work on Ram carved out of ceramic which stand at par with Egyptians and middle East work. This work is not found outside Yoruba land in West Africa, which conform with migratory lifestyle of ancient Yorubas

All the best.

expand vigorously, there was a movement of people
between North Africa and West Africa with horse
drawn carriages, and goods and people interacting
in the ancient times in the BCE era. So, I also believe
what you indicated in your post about Yoruba having some
links with ancient Kemet or Egypt.

DNA tests will prove this FACT soon because it is
out in the domain that the Pharoahs of ancient
Egypt had black ancestries in them based on
DNA tests that have been done on their preserved
bodies in the Pyramid, which are now on display
in the museums. Please do more follow up on this
to get more insights!

Archaelogists have also found paintings of chariots
and people on ROCKS in the Sahara desert to
prove that people were criss crossing the routes
in the BCE era between West Africa and the North long before
the Trans Saharan trade in goods and slaves.

There is also a Sudanese or Nubian connection of
some people in Kaduna in Northern Nigeria who are
known as Nimbia who claim their ancestors came from
Nubia or black Sudan before their Arab invasion
of their land and fierse battles took place. I listened
to the documentary on BBC Radio in the early 2000s!

In fact, AKWAABA in Ghana is Àkú Àbó(wellcome, return well, arrive well etc), which is a loan word
from Yoruba language through migration of some Yoruba people to the Ashanti kingdom.
You are very vast in knowledge Olu317! grin
I read within the last 10 years too from online sources
that our people, the Yoruba have been in Ghana as traders
for over 200 years, just like you have Hausa traders who
migrated to Northern Ghana, and Hausa is still spoken
in Ghana. The CIA World Fact Book indicates that
there are over 1 million Yoruba who are citizens
of Ghana. In Accra, the Ga indigenous owners of
Accra claim to have come from Nigeria or Ife!

I have a former Ghanaian school mate, Brian, who is now
a Senior Investment Analyst in New York. I have to
ask him more about this because he is also a Ga. His father
was a lecturer in Nigeria in the oil boom era when we
went to school together, and he and I were close
school friends in the cosmopolitan and multicultural
school I then attended.

Thanks for this insightful information and do keep me
posted on any other info.

Have a great week ahead!
smiley

P.S. Last but not least, did you interact by collecting
the email contact of @Osugbo? He has not been
regular on this thread and forum and I would have l
oved us to ask him more questions. Maybe if we visit
Sierra Leone, he can be our guide. It was some of
the demobilised slave ships that the liberated
Yoruba purchased and were using to trade in
the 1800s across West Africa and they became
very rich and could afford to even send their
children to universities in England. This was
before 1900, and they were known as the
African Merchant Princes.

ValCon888:
What ignorant people call magun is a biological condition known as pénis captivus.

It is a condition where the vagina muscles grips the pènis so hard, it can't withdraw.

And it has to do with the strength of the pelvic floor.

@ValCon888

You have displayed ignorance as well.

1. Magun involves a man who has been in an
illicit affair with a woman, somersaulting 3 times
and then dying from the effects of the charm.

2. This is different from Pénis Captivus or another
variant called Vaginismus, which are purely medical
conditions.

To put loosely it’s a strict contraction of the vagina’s muscles that is so strong, the vagina essentially closes itself. Panicking and struggling makes it worse. As weird as it might sound relaxing actually resolves things. Benzodiazepines do help a lot as muscle relaxants how or why it happens is up for debate. It’s a form of vaginismus which is a lot more common captives is not a frequent occurance. The village people are innocent as it happens to people who are married to each other as well.

Yeah, you are right about this... on those rare occassions, the
vajayjay can INDEED be a muscular... powerful biological
MOUSE trap! grin wink

1. Okay...So, the 64-year-old woman you last treated for this
Vaginismus condition was a white woman abroad or was it in
Nigeria
?

2. Is there a demographic distribution to the occurence of Vaginismus?

3. Are there verifiable statistics to show how prevalent this is among
all the races... since you say there could be a genetic disposition to
this in an earlier post on this thread
?

4. On the other hand, I am aware that the magun thing involves a woman who
is laced with a magun charm by her husband, and any man on the face of this
planet who she gets involved with in an illicit sexual activity will somersault 3
times and die
!

I always love to look at the BIG PICTURE, and detest INSULAR thinking, but there
seems to be credible evidence for the magun phenomenon based on what I have read.
This of course is different from Vaginismus which is a natural violent contraction
of the female reproductive tract. YOU do not somersault 3 times in this case!

I think I would prefer to be HIT by Pe.nis Captivus OR Vaginismus than
magun, IMHO
grin

Au revoir!

Realist1:
My fellow African's and particularly Nigerians that believe it can only be African juju or Nigerian Magun that can do this how do you explain this? Oyinbo get Magun too? When we say there are scientific explanations to this things them go say na lie. Explain this na?
I hear that with magun, a man will sommersault 3 times
and die.
lipsrsealed

This Russian event as described in this thread is due to the
involuntary contraction of the vajayjay and cannot be
compared to magun.

PrettyCrystal:
Earlier today, the Anambra State Police Command paraded three suspects (a man and two women) over the viral video of a woman who was stripped naked and was beaten severally.

The suspects paraded include; Mr Ifeanyi Azotani, 40 year old artisan, the wife, Tochukwu, 43 and her niece, Ogochukwu Nwankwo, 33.

One of the suspects who was interrogated by journalists, Ogochukwu Nwankwo (the niece), said she was about going out when she received a call from Tochukwu Azotani beckoning her to come to the house because she found out that her husband has been sleeping around.

She said when she went there she remembered how her ex-husband took her son to stay his with his girlfriend and this provoked her. She said this was what made her angry to flog the alleged mistress mercilessly and humiliate her.

The wife, Tochukwu Azotani, said that she saw a chat between her husband and his mistress on his phone the second time after they had previously met in the hotel, that was why she decided to lure the lady to the house (with the help of the husband) and disgrace her. She claimed she didn't know that the action meted out on the lady would go far like that.

Meanwhile, the victim of the assault, who is a widow and a mother of one, said that her career has been killed both in Nigeria and outside the country following the viral nude video and she does not want to be compensated. She revealed that why she was being tortured, the man, Ifeanyi Azotani who invited her to the house - was there looking and did nothing to save her.
