Your parochial believe in appointment of compensation is corruption and is the bane of Nigeria's progress - Koolking punches Punch |
They look funny!! |
I killed my time and read opinions on this topic page by page. I am actually spell-bound by Nigerian mentality. I thought we had been freed from this self-destruct-mentality. To actually believe the Op pursuit of truth is a defamation of character to her ex-house help - due to unfounded claim of 'jazz' as motivator, you deserve to be shot in the head. I have given up on Nigerians. Their problems need 'undo it yourself' solution. They are beyond redemption. |
ProTouchDesigns:Dude, you used groundnut oil or coconut oil to prepare your soup? Palm Oil would have given your soup an inviting view. You just saved yourself a few bucks. Eating out is a huge financial hemorrhage. |

The salient issue is not making laws, but the will to enforce these laws. Methinks, Lagos State Tenancy Law is now a toothless bulldog that only bark but cannot bite. Land Lords and Estate Owners/Managers still act with impunity, trampling on their tenants' right without recourse to law. |
MadCow1:Your concerned for people's safety is deeply appreciated, brother. But do know that you may cause more harm than good if the information you broadcast turns out to be hoax. Remember, salt and water bath during Ebola scourged - people were so docile to believe that nonsense and more harm befell them. I personally don't broadcast info forwarded to me without verification. People relish SM to crave attention for themselves. Your intention was noble, I understand. Then, let watch it. Peace! |
MadCow1:You didn't find a way to verify the alert before rushing to NL to post, causing unnecessary public panic for nothing. SMH, anything news on SM spread like wild fire, people don't care verifying info before broadcasting to others. |
9japride:Person opinion is allowed. It's our right as humans. |
9japride:It does not make any different where I am. People are living and surviving in Afghanistan, Sudan. Since you started complaining, how does it change your situation? What do you mean by the 'bitter truth'? Complaining? Is that it? Who does the 'bitter truth' help? |
2dugged:Not at all. I don't believe in government doing everything for me. perhaps, why am not in any way disappointed. Life will always pose challenges. We have to realise and accept that waking up daily is expensive. The realisation of this will make you stop complaining and face life head-on. |
bender79:Chill bro. Things will work. 2 years is not 2 decades. 2-year is just a blink of an eye. There is no glory without cross. |
OP, understand the difference - Wedding is not marriage. Supposed husband and wife are also breaking up everyweek |
Vanpascore:Nigerians with craze to travel overseas for slavery work. Apart from better education and vacation, can't we travel overseas as expatriates? Imagine spending N500,000 as agency fee to travel abroad, only to receive paltry N65,000 every 30days, with lifestyle and and taxes, how much do you take home? If the N500,000 was invested wisely here in Nigeria, the OP would have made more than N65,000 monthly. |
2dugged:Being a casualty is a choice. Nigerian present economy presents a lot of opportunities. You can also choose to tap into or sit and complain. The choice is yours |
bender79:For 56years Nigeria has played politics of appointment based on regions at the expense of capacity and ability. Overtime, this arrangement bred mediocrity as people were appointed based on compensation and not reality. 56 years gone without commensurate result. Same game, same people. It became pertinent to change the game and watch the effect. This is what being smart has taught me. |
2dugged:Things aren't getting worse. There must be casualies in an effort to make things work. Things are shaping up. No good thing comes easily. Don't conclude just yet I just discovered it's only the minority few that were eating fat for doing nothing in the immediate past government that are whining and wailing now. Complains will not change a thing, it is a fact. We need reforms from brave people in order to move the country forward. Encourage the government |
The list was not necessary. Even if Buhari is appointing his kinsmen and foreigners to help him revamp Nigeria, I don't care. I only care about result - 'respite' for the Nigerian people at the end |
Seriously, Op? Nigerian musicians or international musicians? Do Nigerian musicians make money at all? What source? From the crappy and noisy music they make or what? N100 album they offer for sale at Alaba? Endorsements, shows? Op, wake up. This comparison you are trying to do 'e get as e bi'. It's a disservice to some of us in your attempt to make such comparison |
Not impressive. Family full of people with despicable and dishonest profession. Lawyers are liars |
CuteTj:Coliseum on Oregun Road, Ikeja used to be a place for smart shirts - but their prices now are impossible. You can get a world class Tailor at Tinubu Square, Lagos and get your shirts shown to specifications. |
SeverusSnape:GEJ looks gallant but timid |
Your list is subjective. Fashion is all about wearing what makes you feel comfortable and also appealing to people. Even at that, not everyone will approve of your apparels, choice of colors and style. I personally stick to wearing what makes me feel comfortable and sending the right message by my appearance at the same time. Wearing straight ties with shortsleeved shirts is not a fashion flop to me. Your choice of colors and your personal mien are factors to consider if you mean to look dashing and acceptable.

izzou:My submission is that, I do not care who is in charge, whether Nigerians or foreigners. I am a proponent and respecter of good governance. A government that brings succour to the people. Whoever the president chooses to achieve the desired objectives is not my concern. I am interested in what the government has achieved positively. I will never support 'Turn by Turn' governance and governance of compensation. It reeks of mediocrity. It's undisputable that there are few selfless and patriotic Nigerians. Sufficiently qualified Nigerians are all over the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. It's not about qualification. It's about attitude. |
nnachukz:What do you mean by "all inclusive government"? I just hope it's not what I think. Last I checked, the president has right to pick his wise men anywhere. Appointment based on compensation breeds mediocrity. It has never engendered the desired result in Nigeria. It's high time we did things differently. Who cares even if Buhari's team is exclusively foreigners or his kinsmen? What interest me at the end of the day is the respite his team has been able to bring to the people. |
...like a drowning man desperately looking for what to clutch on. Publicity stunt, Fayose is still not the man of the people no matter how hard he tries |
Taeewo:How's Fayose Ekiti going to achieve the above when Ekiti is owing workers' salaries for months? Methinks, this is more like braggadocio, an attempt to justify why he has N300M in his personal account in post governorship elections. |
I had so much respect for Fayose as a smart dude, until he started showing traits of slowpoke. As a governor with all the power, you couldn't do a proper investigation on an alleged crime with evidences to nail your opponent. You stumbled on record somewhere, next second you went public and embarrassed yourself and your supporter. Fayose is truly a ponmo governor |
wecan:This is a case of Identity theft. Any Aisha Buhari stepping his or her foot in the USA will be detained at the airport for questioning, and can only be released on satisfactory answer and or detained until cleared as the wrong culprit. It's a complex issue when someone who bears the same name as you and from same enclave commits crimes. |
ivyy:I just read your mention/request. Notify me if you have got another chance |
You are just so on point. The ending will leave you so confused and disappointed. The villain almost never dies. |

The man (Buhari) looks very lanky and sickly in Army uniform.
