Handsomejok:You are wicked, stupid, backward, superstitious and evil. Your pastor should be in jail and your church that messes up your brain should be demolished. |
Sufferingboy:I wasn’t talking or interested in your tastes for exotic animals and cravings for endangered species. I want to know why an Igbo man would understand most of what was said in that video while a Benin man wouldn’t….you mentioned the erosion of ika language…why has Igbo version of ika dominated or endured compared to other versions? |
Sufferingboy:Igbos are too emotional?? What’s that coming from? Igbos embrace brotherhood. Igbos are friendly and have no reason to fight or hate people who openly embrace the Igbo tradition. We believe in ‘Nwanne di na Mba’. We are also proud people. No real Igbo son or daughter would deny his/her Igbo identity. That’s sacrilege. Those other people who claim to be Igbo for political reasons are vermins, untrustworthy and fools. They are chameleons. Anyone who deny his true identity is fake. A true Igbo son knows his worth. You can’t buy that with any amount of money. If you claim that Amaechi, Wike or Okowa denied their true identities and embraced Igbo for political and selfish reasons, what does that tell you about such people?? We know our worth. Igbo spirit is strong, highly resilient, unyielding and enduring. |
Sufferingboy:What’s all this rubbish about monkeys. How old are you? Does it mean if the so called man wasn’t saved’ by monkeys, you people will be eating that animal? What kind of people eat monkeys?? I wouldn’t eat monkey knowingly or even if offered money. I won’t eat snakes, pythons and that’s not because of any superstitious beliefs, I won’t eat dogs, cats, tortoise or even most Bush meats sold by the road side. This thread was started by a non Igbo poster and people responded that they understood most of what was said in the video. I doubt anyone really care what Ika people choose to call themselves but saying that what’s there isn’t a dialect of Igbo language is silly. How come they speak what’s understandable to Igbo speakers and not to Benin people. I want to be educated. No Igbo man here is claiming ika. I want to be educated on the language that you speak which native Igbo speakers can relate to not why you don’t eat monkeys, baboons and chimpanzees. |
athaboi:What ‘charm’?? What are you talking about? There’s no such thing as charm. The only charm they possess are the AK47s and other assault rifles they snatched from the police and military as well as the fear they have instilled in the minds of people. Take away the assault rifles and they are useless. |
I don’t understand our people. Can’t one live humbly without attracting unnecessary attention to himself. What da F is Eze Ndi Igbo in ghana and he even has a palace and a royal chair. What’s the meaning of this? I think our people especially the those with the Eze Ndi Igbo titles have bastardised this title. Lots of them have worked hard to make some fortune…next they want to be addressed as Eze Ndi Igbo…I have seen it in some southern states as well. Lots of people don’t want to be addressed as Chiefs anymore. The trendy title is ‘High Chief Dr.’… This is nonsense and ridiculous |
It’s the face of Enoch Adeboye and the voice of Femi Fani Kayode. |
This lady is the only Nigerian female actress/celebrity that I consider beautiful. My spec…. Chikeluo Iloanusi is confused. He really messed up and let this woman gem slip through his fingers. He doesn’t deserve her though. Dude has always been a hooligan and uncultured. |
Afamed:The cows were owned by indigenous people of Anambra?? This is good news then. We in Anambra reject the open grazing of cows and these animals should not be on our roads constituting dangers to road users. Let that be a lesson to the owners. We shouldn’t be biased because the owners were not Fulanis. In Kano, hisbah would openly destroy your cartons and crates of thousands of beer. ...with all the violence seen on social media concerning the menace of herdsmen in the east and all over Nigeria and someone has the guts to march cows along the road. If that’s not threat and foolishness then I don’t know what is. Fulani cows and their trouble makers do not have rights over others on our roads and lands. |
DavidNative:You are not alone sir. There are many like you. Some men have little finger size D and some erupt like La Palma as soon as the pinkie touch their knob head...Some like your type is blessed with Dangote trailer size D and takes eternity to blast like Vesuvius. It’s natural. That’s how you are made. Embrace it. It’s a license to cheat or discontinue the marriage. I’d rather be in a relationship with a retired Akwuna/Olosho with restless pvssy than marry a woman who is made like yours. |
You UndauntedYOCA:Rare case of precocious puberty. |
Government failure, institutional failure. Don’t blame the onlookers. It was very sad what happened to Dr. Akunyili...In certain situations, we as a people should be able to react positively but Nigeria is a failed state. In some countries, if you witness violence, fire incident, road traffic collision etc...you’d call 999, 199 or any other emergency numbers. Children are taught from an early age on how to dial such numbers to link up with the paramedic, ambulance, police, firemen etc. We don’t have that in Nigeria. Land lines don’t work anymore. Nitel is no more. How many Nigerians remember NITEL and land lines? Where are the hospitals and infrastructure to deal with such emergencies? Ideally, those people videoing the man would’ve called the emergency numbers with location and details, even if they couldn’t give location, the place could be traced and located, the medical crew would attempt to stabilise him and the Accident and Emergency dept of the hospital would’ve been notified and on standby to receive him, from RESUS straight to theatre. Those don’t exist in Nigeria. What would those people do for him. The best anyone could do for him would’ve been to speak to him, calm him down, reassure him that he was surrounded by good people but then what? It’s even wrong the way some good Samaritans rush to lift people involved in rtc....more injuries could be caused and have been caused by people carrying victims of rtc. Victims have been paralysed simply by some ‘benevolent’ act of lifting them off the ground. We have lost it as a people. Sometimes police would arrive and ‘pack’ injured people at the back of their pick up trucks. Some lose blood and die of shock before they reach the station, some others conditions are made worse when they are forced into an awkward position. Now what if you attempt to help and the man dies on the way to the hospital....mind you, our hospitals sadly are not equipped to handle lots of trauma cases. What would you do if he dies at the hospital or enroute? How do you explain to the law enforcement your role and what happened? There is nothing anyone of those people could’ve done for him. The system stinks. Buhari’s son wouldn’t have made it if the hospitals here had treated him. He was airlifted to some hospital abroad. Timely intervention saved the young man’s life. Mullins of Nigerians are not so privileged. |
What da… ![]() I’m here…. ![]() |
Ibkhaleel01:You, your family and everything associated with you is cursed. |
MURIC is made up of mumu people and Akintola is a sycophant, an azzlicker and an I diot. Fuel crisis in the Uk isn’t caused by lack of fuel but by shortage of HGV drivers. There is job opportunities up for grab and more than 90,000 opportunities are up for grab with good pay. Can the same be said about Nigeria and Buhari’s government? The British Army has been put on alert and the problem will be sorted soon. Imagine using Nigeria army to solve fuel crisis in Nigeria? !!! Ndiuchu ![]() MURIC and Akintola will always find reasons to hype Buhari and his incompetencies. |
DoggoneDogg:Stop this rubbish now. Joe Igbokwe is an azzhole, an efulefu and a depressed soul but he doesn’t have the courage to kill a chicken. Stop pointing at him. He is not capable of what you are accusing him of. |
It was sad watching an earlier video of thugs walking round the street and kids and grown women were hailing and clapping for them. What a horror! How low we have degenerated. I was angry with Oyigboupdate on desperate his attempt to link and rope IPOB in but I have and I’m sure many Igbos have become frustrated and disappointed with IPOB, ESN or whatever appellation they come under...Emma Powerful and his band of hooligans will not escape judgement. This man will be caught and he will regret and cry his heart out. Somebody should tell him and point him to this message if he is still under some kind of delusion. He will suffer. I acknowledge the fact that Igbos have suffered under the law enforcement agents. Let no one argue or tell me that it happens everywhere. Igbos reject and highly condemn the atrocities of the military, police brutalities etc but these group of people called IPOB are holding Igbos hostage. There will be collateral damages but they will suffer. They had allowed criminals without souls to infiltrate them. These people are not freedom fighters. They will achieve nothing. Those who forcefully impose sit at home every week are enemies of Igbos. Those who desperately and ruthlessly enforce these are our enemies. Those who decapitate people are not working in the interest of Igbos. An outfit like IPOB if they are organised, disciplined and strategic with a responsible and committed leadership should assess their struggle and adapt strategies. They have failed. Emma and his group are nothing but band of thugs, I diots and devilish. They are not out to fight for Igbos. They have degenerated. They can not be trusted. They have left their responsibilities and have veered off course. IPOB will reap what they sow...sadly some innocent people will be affected when the time comes and that time is upon us. IPOB have opened us up to our enemies. Emma will not escape this. |
nonsojaggs:Are you the one that shot that video? There’s nothing wrong with that but you are among those on that video praising and cheering them, you are not doing the right thing. These boys are not disciplined. They are not your saviour especially that criminal wearing a black cape. Stop supporting evil: |
Totilopussylick:These criminals won’t get you Biafra. Be careful what you wish for. The people in that video are not freedom fighters. |
sapientia:Rebrand to what? Any suggestion? E-money .There is someone called E-money already ![]() Emeka Okonkwo is about to get richer. ….but how can someone sue the CBN over the name ‘Naira’?? CBN should call their bluff. Naira belongs to Nigeria and if there’s one institution that should be laying claim to the name, it should be the central bank of Nigeria…but what do I know. |
buragidi:That man is confused. |
Calitoscassius:What you see sir is the result of decades of hard work and investment. It didn’t start today and it didn’t start in the last 20 years either. Indians for example have lived in the Uk for more than 100years, most of them settled in the Uk as well when Idi Amin chased them out of Uganda. These people have lived in the Uk for years…lots of them have ‘married’ their relatives to have them join them in the Uk. They have operated shops, restaurants, fill their people ( illegal immigrants) there for decades….assisted these group of people through their ‘smart’ solicitors. Some learnt plumbing, roofing, joinery, apprentice in electricity and wiring….some jobs that our people rarely go into, cab driving. A group of people will buy a house at auction, make it over using their own people to reduce cost, buy a lot more and do same, open up local shops and force the white British corner shop owner to move and relocate. They have been collectively chipping at the system and ruthlessly taking opportunities. I think our people have been too individualistic. Our orientation is different. I don’t think we have employed the same method. |
adonainana:You can’t use the experience of living in Hackney and London to advice people. Your experience isn’t enough. I lived in Upton Park and Stratford, played football at Westham park near Plaistow, attended Ashimolowo’s KICC at Hackney…this was before the Olympics. I thought then that Uk started and ended in London. I paid £500 for an en-suite accommodation during my uni days and later got a decent one room all inclusive at £350 till I graduated. If you move up north, you can get a beautiful 2-3 bedroom accommodation at £500. No jokes….ask people working in places like Kendal, Morecambe or Grange over sands and Barrow-In-Furness. It’s the same salary scale but accommodation and cost of living is much cheaper. Google FGH Barrow in Furness. There’s a sizeable population of Nigerians working there mainly Igbos and yorubas and they will always assist you if you are new. Stop misinforming people. You claim to know or have somewhere you’d pay £260 per month but insist that accommodation is within the range of £800 and above. You are confused mister. For anyone wanting to have an idea how much accommodation cost anywhere in the Uk….visit Spareroom dotcom and find out for yourself. Don’t let people fill your head with nonsense. Google and type in the postcode or town and see what it reveals. |
adonainana:You are only looking at the negatives. Ask yourself why politicians from Nigeria spend so much to come to the Uk for medical checks and treatments. Do you think the average Musa, Ade or Obi don’t suffer these illnesses? What’s their fate? If you live in the Uk, you don’t pay dime for Medicare…except pharmaceutical drugs and dentals. I have friends who would’ve long died if they were in Nigeria and depended on teaching hospitals or even private clinics. These people had interventions worth more than £10k with support from other health care visitors and they are doing fine. They didn’t pay a penny. Look on the brighter side. Uk has the best health care system in the world in my opinion. It’s a great place to learn and get trained. Those 6 people will have the best trainings and learning available and within a few years can relocate to other countries of their choices. |
Calitoscassius:You are talking about Pakistanis and Indians. Many of them are doctors. What about the Filipinos? They have many nurses in the Uk and they are doing well. |
adonainana:£25k is for a newly qualified medical staff remember that. It’s just like a nurse, physiotherapist or radiographer who has just completed his NYSC in Nigeria and got a job. You have to start somewhere. Do you know the number of medical staff on Nhs payroll? Where does the funding come from. First appreciate the accountability, transparency and professionalism in the system. You have opportunity to progress. If you complete your training and achieve competencies in your relevant field and the right documents, you can move to your eldorado and continue there. I have a friend who moved to Australia. It’s his choice. I have another couple of friends who relocated to Canada. Money wise, it was good decision for them. My input initially was based on your £800 rent accommodation for a band 5 staff. You can get a decent accommodation for less as a single person and then progress from there. If your first job and first pay check is £1600 after deductions and you are living in a £800 accommodation with electricity, water and other bills to pay then you need to look at yourself. |
adonainana:If you earn about £25k/year, you should be a newbie band 5 who just graduated from Uni or someone who has been a nurse/radiographer etc employed from maybe a commonwealth country like nigeria. I will assume you are single as a newly qualified. Now why would you get an accommodation where you’d pay £800!!!. There are ways to cut cost. Except you are living in London or maybe Cambridge and working at say Kings college hospital or Addenbrookes…London btw will pay you more… You can get a decent rent inclusive accommodation for £400-£450 or even less depending on location…if you live further north, the rent is cheaper and that includes your heating, electricity and water. Clothes, most times you are given up to 4-5 uniforms free….except you are a doctor. They don’t wear uniform. Why and how would clothes cost that much?? A trip to TK MAXX, Next, marks and Spencer or even Sainsbury’s (TU clothing) will get you nice and quality wears and they are not very expensive. A good quality trousers at £10-20. Shoes at Clark’s at £40-70 depending on what you want. You don’t buy these every month. You should be talking about food and transport. They don’t cost much if you buy, stock your fridge and freezer and cook for yourself and that includes making and packing your lunch to work. In an all inclusive rent of that £400, you don’t pay council tax as your landlord sorts that. If a salary of £1600 is tight, you have the opportunity of doing NHSP or working overtime, your overtime pay will take care of a lot of your extra bills….Except you also support some people back home in Nigeria. If you are living in an accommodation that pays £800, I’ll assume that you are married and earning a bit more or a band 6 and above, let’s assume that you are not, your analysis is still not very true as your wife will most likely be working and earning. You can save one persons salary and pay your bills with the other. |
salveoP:Don’t listen to anyone who tries to discourage you about the Uk and Nhs. This country is one of the best places on earth to train as a medical staff. Yes you heard me right. Nhs is Gold sir and the Uk is the place to be. You work hard, you’ll see your efforts rewarded. For those 6 people, if they work a few years, they can work for private establishments and earn a lot more if money is the motivation. |
ednut1:Actually, the salary starts at just under £25k per annum for a band 5 nurse or any other band 5 Nhs staff, it’ll be a bit more if you’ve progressed through the band. London hospitals pay more. Uk is a nice place and a really nice place to work as a medical staff. There is heavy investment on medical care. Lots of experienced professionals to learn from, medical equipment is top of the range and funding isn’t a constraint. You are encouraged to work hard and be the best you can. Uk is GOLD. That Martyn of a guy who claim to have worked in the US, UK, UAE and SA is highly confused. Of course, you’ll pay NI, tax and pension but if you work hard as you do in Nigeria, you’ll not regret it. If you get sick, your Gp is there for you. In emergency, the wait can be terrible but you get seen by the best medical team. You’d be surprised that the A/E doctor is someone who graduated from University of Ibadan, Ilorin, Awka or UNN. The radiographer might be a graduate of UNEC. Think first of the trainings, the opportunities, the equipment at your disposal, the experts to guide and support your growth. You’ll earn the money but be prepared to work hard. Nhs is the best. I wish those guys the best and I hope they settle in well enough. Btw, it’s like this in lots of Nhs hospitals. They recruit lots of Nigerian healthcare workers. |
PIMPAR:Shame on you. If I was Peter Obi, I’d do what he did at the time and even confiscate the vehicle that brought those people in and prosecute the driver as well. How do you people justify bundling people into a vehicle, moving them to Onitsha and dumping them at the River Niger bridge? Who does that? What kind of a man gave that instruction? People who were not from Anambra state were forcefully relocated to Onitsha and left at the River Niger bridge. You are the bigot, the fool and the oppressor here. Btw, I don’t support any Igbo man emerging president after Buhari. As for Tinubu, If I was voting, I wouldn’t cast my vote for him. I believe there are more Yoruba figures capable of impacting on the lives of Nigerians. Tinubu is a snake. |
Sadly the Nigeria men’s team was thrashed by Ivory Coast and Uganda. |

Are they not igbos?? Where are they going to get their charms?? The same place unknown gunmen got their own?? Let there be a solution to this...all this will only fuel it the more
