I got my PR April 17th which coincide with the same period you were preparing for ur exams. It's a day i will never forget. I have never been top or the best all my life but God and fortune has been good to me. I am going to study a dream course and I am so looking forward to it. We are so happy to learn u are also making your way to join us in maple land. Thanks for your usual support, we appreciate you. Frankrobbn1: Yes bro, I was very occupied sometime in April and May when I was preparing for my IELTS test and Permanent Residence application. The exam wasn't an easy one, but I am grateful to God that I was able to attain good grades in one sitting which makes me eligible to apply for the Canadian PR. I am happy at your TRV achievement. Success!. |

I am sorry to say but I can see a bit of arrogance in ur comment. I am happy for you that you have gotten your PR but like u mentioned no situation are the same and I still will not agree that SOP or SOA by themselves are the game changer, I believe it is more than that. As I have previously mentioned, I was refused and I went for JR. I didn't add a single new documents, I didn't change my SOP and with that the refusal was reviewed and I was approved. Senatorkolade mentioned it in some pages ago that the VOs can sometimes be sloppy and lazy. Also, all fingers are not equal, we all have different abilities and capabilities, this is why I appreciate frankrobn, he doesn't talk down on people, instead he encourages. Some of us are not so smart as u assumed and will always need help, that is why there is market for agents. Qudkom: The rate of Refusals as become alarming however the increased rate in which applicants continue to think what works for Person A will work for Person B is equally appalling. Majority of applicants cannot distinguish;
1. Between Having the proper finances for a study program and establishing an adequate personal asset and finance portfolio.
2. Understand meeting the demands for a clear purpose of visit to Canada and Establishing good ties to Nigeria.
3. Submitting applications in a cohesive and logical manner.
4. Not understanding how to state and explain the use of a 3rd party sponsor.
5. Most importantly not understanding how to generate a solid study plan and choosing the right program and institution. Every institution in Canada pocess a unique blend of speciality a particular institution can be skilled in a particular program and pretty much basic in another. Applicants don't bother doing researches they just apply to whichever school pops up.
The VOs already understand the patterns used by Nigerian applicants right from copy and paste sop formats to basic and unnecessary supporting documents. Difficulty rate of trv application is now HARD!.
Applicants need to understand the game plan, conduct researches and understand what they are doing. When I go through applications this days I can smell a desperate applicant from a mile away and guess what I am not even a trained VO.
P.s: Always try to read up the thread before asking questions. |

I sent u PM. Please check. Mykaelolalekan: Good evening NL, my application was refused yesterday based on the ground that the vo is not satisfied that I will leave Canada at the end of my stay.i believe it is only a delay and not denied. To the best of my knowledge and ability, I perfected my application based on the knowledge gained from this forum from thread 12 to 15. I would not have done more than what I did earlier as 1, I have sufficient funds in my account. 2, my home tie is my wife and two kids which I included there birth certificate and travel history to uk on several occasions. 3, evidence of landed properties and government consents. 4, Employment letter, letter of introduction from work, study leave agreement duly notorised and sealed. Promotion letters, work ID card, tax clearance card, 5, cac documents and certificate of incorporation for family business oversea by my wife with the company SOA. 6, pension statements of accounts, 7, term insurance statement of account.
But I guess what might have gone wrong is that my school included my previous academic qualifications on my offer letter which I submitted as part of my application to include : BSc Economics MBA and MSc Risk management and insurance while am now pursuing MA Economics. Although I took time to tackle the reason for the MA having obtained MSc previously in my Sop. While waiting for my gcm note to specifically tackle the reason for the delay, I sincerely thank all the Gurus on this forum for their sefless and indifatigable efforts in helping out as at when needed. In fact, there is no better place to gain TRV knowledge than this forum. |

The VO are not above error. It is very unlikely he made any mistake. From my experience, the quality of how canadian student visa processing is very poor that is the reason no one can second guess them. There is so much inconsistency, just imagine the way people's passport are detained and how the app are not regularly updated. How about holding app for more than a year? The list goes on and on. Qudkom: Wow are you sure while filling the study permit questionnaire or family form you didn't tick yes for family members accompanying you? Cross check that before filing for gcmsnote. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by kpizzle: 7:01pm On Jun 08, 2019 |
Sorry about your refusal. Similar error was made on my app and I used the error to contest my refusal via a JR which to the glory of God I won. You could also research how JR works and consider using it. abusmanlouis: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue. • Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study. • Pursuant to paragraph 220(c) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the cost of transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada.
i never said any of my family members is accompany me to canada. i am shocked to see these reasons You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee. Sincerely, High |

This is my best news of the week for me. I am so happy for u. It is a good character to know how to listen to others, learn and execute even better than them. I am glad you did take advice and use it. Congrats once again. Kishkosh: Guys. I can not thank you all enough . Original passport request . First time applicant with virgin passport .
Application lodged on the 12th of June 2018 with upfront medicals. Biometrics done on the 22nd of June 2018 . And medicals updated as passed on the 7th of August 2018 and that same day my eligibility review started. And since then , I didn't hear from the embassy . because of the delay I lost my admission and I had to reapply again as the school does not defer ... a specialised and highly competitive programme . Fortunately I was offered admission the second time and I mailed my new admission letter to the embassy and also sent an updated statement of account alongside the new admission. Since then , I've been bombarding them with mails. I sent mails to several MPs, about 7 responded and took up my case , including the PM and Minister for immigration , I even extended my mails to the senators and speaker of the House and also the some Assistants or top personnel in IRCC office.
I didn't stop . I kept sending mails to anyone I see as a too official in Canada because my understanding is that they can't refuse me visa cuz I'm sending several mails(i don't know who has that thought ) And just today , I got the passport request .
Thank you everyone . special thanks to Makano(this dude advised me not to withdraw my apllication just yet and told me to keep sending mails. Makano will connect me to his office internet and tell me to check nairaland visa section for updates . I will go prepare the place for you bro, I'm your John the Baptist , yours will come in no time) @frankrobbn1 , @kpizzle ,this dude called me late in the night , shared his experience and gave me reasons to keep hopes high when I was hell bent on withdrawing my application. @Asapant, my man . You're blessed . @qudcom, @sillysassysally @justmellow @austacus @bracha and all other persons who gives to this section of the forum , God bless you all. Good work you guys are doing ... I wish @goingforward is still here .
Above all , GOD GOD GOD !!! HE DID IT . I prayed and fasted and I'm happy it payed off. My other moniker was just banned |

Guys , I'm thinking of withdrawing my application after a long wait since June 2018 and apply afresh. I need you guys opinion on this pls. I have sent several CSE and mails and even ordered for my GCMS note( which I didn't really see any substantial reason for the delay in it )
Will the withdrawal have any negative implication on my next application or I should just continue to keep all hopes alive . NB , my school resumes 1st of Sept and I know we are nearing the peak period of TRV applicants . |

You should get an email from them. Otherwise, check other mails they have sent to you, send a mail to those email. Title the email urgent and politely and clearly state your condition. I sent you a PM. Please act fast. Stanley5050: Good morning, pls guru in the house I have a problem here. I submitted my visa application via paper which I provided all the necessary documents including my valid passport on the October 9th 2018, in which I got a response on the December 3rd 2018 demanding a one year bank statement ticket. I provided and sent the necessary documents demanded via email on December 17th 2018. After then, I linked my paper application to an online account (gckey) where I can view the status of my application. I got a response on the April 16th 2019 which I was approved and my valid passport was requested by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. After I got the message, I tried tracking my application through Visa Facilitation Services (VFS global) but my document hasn’t been dispatched, which my application is still under processing according to them. My problem is that I did my application via paper, where I submitted all my documents at the Canadian embassy in Lagos which my valid passport was submitted also. And they still requested for my passport, maybe thinking I submitted online. Any suggestions will help please. What I’m I to do. |

from my observation, very few banks support this SOA format, i know of GTBank, it is even on their online portal. As for other banks you need to check with them. Someone in my bank was used by God to treat my request specially. They also don't normally provide. JustMellow: This is a testimony coupled with resiliency, Big congratulations.
BTW which bank gave you the " bank statement and ticket ID" or you got an authenticated reference letter as substitute?

Sounds probable but what is ur source? Senatorkolade: June 2018 to November 2018 was the craziest period in the history of Canadian visa applications. Canada received over seventy thousand applications which include visit, spousal and study permits. This is crazy and it was the highest in the whole world. Unfortunately, over 80 percent of these applications went to London visa office. This huge application overwhelmed the visa officers that an emergency immigration committee was formed and they brainstormed on how to attend to this backlog. You know Oyinbos with their funny ways of reasoning, they reasoned that many Nigerians wanted to run away because of the just concluded election. And as such, need to discharge those applications by mass refusals. In fact, a CEO of one of our popular banks was refused a tourist visit visa that time. |

And again, if you have a family picture Take a clean sheet of paper and gum it on top of the picture then you draw a line and name each of everyone of you in the picture (including your late parents)
Yes co sponsor can be a third party. The commitment is the main thing here. Pay your half tuition fee or send your living expenses to your account |

I am not sure anyone is clear on how this SOP/LOE works. I have posted something in the past about this. I suspect this guys based their decision on applicants profile and even if Wole Soyinka writes SOP/LOE for you, it might not still work. makano: Congrats bro.. And to the SOP, I wanna assume this is ur 1st application.. Cos if someone is applying for the 2nd or 3rd time, he/she needs to write an SOP/LOE.. Family application on Dec 28, biometrics on Dec 31, upfront medical for us on Jan 2, then we updated our application with copies of the medical sheets.
Approvals for myself on Jan 22, my madam, Feb 5 and my boy Feb 9.
Programme - MBA (I think number one business school in Canada, am not too sure sha)
Documents submitted include birth certificates, educational certificates, my employment letters, proof of funds documents, no sponsor, letter of explanation for myself as the main applicant (2 pages), another for my wife (just 1 page), ties to home country (land documents, my rented apartment in Lagos, car docs, etc.), admission docs, CIC forms, etc.
God is great, He will complete the work He has just started.

We have seen someone denied 5 times on this forum and got it by the 6th try, so don't hurriedly throw in the towel. Just share your full profile with the house, maybe it can help the gurus to know how to advice you. BVNO: Please I need advice on TRV application.
I have applied for TRV four times and all were denied. I applied through an agent thrice and once by myself. Hubby also applied for PR last year, but was not given as well.
So, last month I decided to write and know the reasons for the denial. I received the GCMS letter yesterday. Reasons for denial. 1. SOP contains only general statement, which was written in poor English 2. Course of study does not match with previous academic history. 3. Letter of acceptance was used for application twice. ( note, after the second denial the school gave me grace for next admission, which the same letter of admission was sent to me and I used it to apply). They are not convince that once given, i will leave at the end of my studies.
My concern is this, should I continue to apply? How many times should one stop applying after so many denials?
Please I need your genuine advice. Thank you. |
