Only demented fools will believe cats can metamorphise into humans. I'm not really surprised such stories are making the rounds in Nigeria as poverty and illiteracy will make some people swallow such superstition. What an utter nonsense. |

It seems some sort of progress is being made. From aisha2's report he must have had a needle aspirational and incisional biopsy for the histopathologists to determine if his problem is just an infected traumatic inflammatory swelling or something more serious. In any case, he needs to have whatever treatment is required as soon as possible. I wish him the best. |
Politics / Re: Ekiti Govt. To Generate $1b Revenue From Tourism by kuramo: 4:02pm On Oct 05, 2009 |
This Governor clearly has delusion of grandeur. It's wishful thinking on his part if he thinks Ekiti State can generate even $100,000 from tourism talk less of $1 billion., he needs to go back school and learn basic mathematics. |

I've been following the progress you guys are making with the donations for the young boy's treatment and i'll like to make a few comments. The boy is apparently being treated at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, the questions you donors should be asking are (1) Who is his doctor at UNTH and what exactly is he treating him for. (2) Why is there still the confusion as to whether he is going to India or not for his surgery. The simple truth is that the required surgery can be done and should be carried out in Nigeria. I have posted a list of specialist surgeons who will be able to help if and when contacted, I'm not sure if anyone has tried to do this. (3) It seems clear that his so-called uncle is scamming the money donated by well meaning individuals by diverting the funds for his own use, so anyone donating any fund should be made aware of who the final recipient of the fund is. The most critical thing to do now is to find the appropriate hospital in Nigeria where his treatment can be carried out before you guys send your money to anyone. |

Politics / Re: Is Pat Utomi An Economist? by kuramo: 5:42pm On Sep 30, 2009 |
You are right, a Bsc in Economics should not be compared with a Phd in Political Economics because the Phd is far superior to the Bsc. |
Politics / Re: Is Pat Utomi An Economist? by kuramo: 5:28pm On Sep 30, 2009 |
@ Porka If Prof Pat Itomi has a Phd in Political Economics, why do you keep on contesting the fact that he is not a '' classic economist ''. I don't know what your level of education is but you must learn to give respect and show deference when due. For your information, a Phd holder in Political Economics is miles ahead in terms of expert knowledge in economics than an upstart with a Bsc in Economics. My advice to you is to let it rest and concentrate your mind on something more meaningful. |

To the coordinator of the organised help on behalf of the unfortunate young boy. Here is a short but not exhaustive list of specialists in Nigeria who will be willing to help this boy. They all belong to a sponsored Smile project based at the Obafemi Awolowo University , Ile-Ife. They are also consultants and experts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical specialty which deals with this sort of problem. Professor Emmanuel Adekeye Etomie Oral and Maxillofacial Specialist Hospital 6 Shehu Ibrahim Close Malali, Kaduna Tel: 08033033494 Dr Ozor Obuekwe Oral Surgery Department University of Benin Teaching Hospital Benin City, Edo State. Tel: 08023293999 Dr M O Ogunlewe Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Lagos University Teaching Hospital Idi-Araba. Tel: 0802 307 1444 Dr Adewale Olaitan Maxillofacial Surgery Dept National Hospital, Abuja. Tel: + 234 92342688 My humble opinion is that the boy is better off receiving the required treatment in Nigeria and not in India. |
Politics / Re: Help Me! Disfigured Teenage Student Cries Out by kuramo: 6:34pm On Sep 29, 2009 |
Having seen this young boy's photograph showing the enlarged upper lip and lower nasal area and from the brief history and scan report. I believe he should seek a second expert opinion from other maxillofacial surgeons in Lagos. I simply can't see why the procedure to drain and evacuate the infected haematoma or whatever the lesion is should require 10 litres of fresh frozen plasma. The procedure to correct this problem can be done at LUTH or at the National hospital in Abuja by any competent maxillofacial surgeon and i see no reason why he has to go as far as India to achieve this. |

I believe Babaearly is not unpatriotic in his quest to denounce his Nigerian citizenship. My advice to him is to simply allow his passport renewal to lapse and when sanity returns to the political and general situation in Nigeria. He can then reactivate his nationality. |

@ Gbawe, I seriously doubt that the lame duck President will survive to answer for and pay the consequence of his actions, his ill health and eventual demise will rob Nigerians the opportunity to witness that. |

True NLanders Beware, there are several Ibori proxies in the house and they need to be identified and shamed. They are part of the current misguided media onslaught by High Thief Ibori who is spending a tiny part of his ill gotten wealth to bombard the Nigerian media and several blog sites and internet forums like Nairaland with smear campaign and attack against ordinary Nigerians and his perceived detractors. |

Politics / Re: How Ribadu Plotted To Sack Yar’adua, Says Ibori by kuramo: 3:23pm On Sep 29, 2009 |
Thief Ibori claims Ribadu plotted to sack Yar' Adua. The real question is - Shouldn't all well meaning Nigerians be plotting to sack Yar' Adua. ? |
Politics / Re: I Like How Nigeria Is Being Run - Ibori by kuramo: 9:56am On Sep 29, 2009 |
This 0GB5 character appears to have a very poor intellect. I won't engage him in any discussion that requires the use of brain cells. He's probably part of the paid media campaign Ibori has embarked on. They are fighting a pointless battle. |

MrCrackles, I concur, this Ibori bastard assumes every other Nigerian is of the same immoral and corrupt stock as himself and his mafia fraudster lawyer Andoooaka. They fail to realise that their days are numbered. |

Politics / Re: Yaradua In Saudi Arabi To Commission Private University. by kuramo: 6:43pm On Sep 24, 2009 |
It is an open secret that Yar' Adua is not in Saudi Arabia to commission some god forsaking university. He is there on medical grounds to get his I.V steroids, kidney dialysis and blood transfusion to keep him alive. The shame is he couldn't be sincere enough to own up to the truth that his days are numbered. The dignified thing for him to do is to resign so he could spend as much time as possible in Saudi Arabia or anywhere else for that matter looking after his health. He is not putting the interest of Nigeria first that's for sure. |

Politics / Re: Yar’adua Off To Saudi Arabia by kuramo: 11:02am On Sep 22, 2009 |
Nobody should be fooled by this idiotic and sick President who cannot tell his fellow countrymen and women the real truth about his second so called official working visit to Saudi Arabia within a few weeks since he last visited. The real truth is his worsening health condition complicated by his Chaug-Strauss Syndrome which may not be responding well to the treatment he received in Jedda, Saudi Arabia just a few weeks ago under the pretext he was going for the lesser Hajj and a working visit. Aso Rock claimed he will be meeting with the Saudi Monarch who curiously will be in New York for the UN General Assembly ( an event 100 other world leaders are attending to discuss important issues affecting humanity ) and later Pittsburgh for the G20 Meeting. If the President's poor health precludes him from working for the interests of Nigeria, we would all understand his predicament if he simply resigns his position in other to concentrate on looking after his health. That is what the Nation expects. |
