Ifeoluwadire: Big Tnks for ur prompt response...
1. Is it dat our ID numbers will not change after d 30 days grace? 2. Can someone pls teach me hw to refresh for dates pls? 1. your ID number will not change, what will happen is that you will lost your ID as you will not be able to log into that DS160 form again, it will be deleted, you wouldn't be able to retrieve the data again 2. all you need to do to extend for another 30 days is once you log into your Ds160 form, click "save" at the bottom and a page asking if you want to continue or exist the page will show, click on exist and it will tell you that your form has been saved for the next 30 days. Before that 30days grace expires, repeat the same process until you are sure of when you want to go for your interview then you can submit. All the best |

pappy0080: Hello House
Please I need urgent advise on my Canada TRV application. I submitted a family package on the 29th of September 2017 online. I got a letter today : Procedural fairness addressed to my wife stating that she did not disclose her previous visa refusals at US embassy in June and September this year. Though she answered "yes" in the section 2b & 2c on the form for visa denials but she only made comments on previous Canada Visa refusals only. The Visa officer gave us 15 days to respond to this letter with any representation. She has got US visa before but renewal was approved. She didn't withhold the US visa refusals intentionally, she thought since it was Canada visa application and after answering "yes" to the question, explanations concerning Canada refusals should be ok. My question is: After responding with reasons for non disclosure of US visa refusal , will our application be automatically denied ?? Has anyone ever encountered this same circumstance and visa got approval after sending reasons for non-disclosure? I am very worried, please anyone with experience about this matter should advise. Thanks. Am afraid it may affect the rest of the application. |

Ifeoluwadire: Hello Good pple, I hv paid 4 d visas for my family due to d fact dat an agent promised to help get a date in December. I filled evrytin myself up to d level of booking appointment day. D agent only advised dt I shud not submit our ds-160 form until we get a date because it can be submitted 2days b4 d appointment date. Due to d nature of my job, if I can't get Dec, it will be next yr b4 I can work towards anoda day. My qstns are these pls...
1. In d booking site, hw do I refresh d dates so I can try to get Dec? 2. If I submit our ds-160 now, many info will change if we don't get date by Dec. Shud I still submit ds-160? 3. Hw do we make use of our visas with d submitted ds-160 nxt yr? 4. If my qstns are out of points to my present problem, wat is d way forward.
Lady G, Justwise n all good pple pls candid advise n guidance are appreciated. I would not also advise you to submit yet until you get a date. You can keep saving your DS160 form you will get 30 days grace and you can keep doing this until next year (make sure is not up to a year you paid for the visa) when it will be convenient for you to get a date and go for the interview before you submit, because your information may change and you may not have the opportunity to update your information once the form is submitted I submitted my Ds160 form almost a year after I started filling my Ds160 form within this period, i was promoted and my job function also changed so i was able to update my data accordingly which also helped to boost my profile. All the best |

manlikegb: No, it doesn't have that sector. Since we're submitted together online as a "family application", the document checklist generated for us only have travel history under the Primary Applicant Sector. For the Family Member Sector, the only documents populated are Application form(IMM5257), Family Information(IMM5645), Passport, Digital photo. Then OPTIONAL ones are another IMM5257 and LOE.
I'm thinking to just put her travel history in the LOE section together with her job references and bank statement as advised earlier. You can put it together with yours |

UKmigrant: Tomorrow, I'll be going to FRSC office to make enquiries about how I can speedily process my international drivers licence. I learnt that one could use it to drive in the UK in the first year of arrival. At least I'll have one year to practice driving on their roads before going for their ''not easy to pass'' driving tests. I currently still have a valid Nigerian driver's licence expiring next month. I hope I won't need to renew it first before my international driving permit can be valid.
Anyone with an idea of the requirements for obtaining an international driver's licence in Nigeria and how the whole driving thing works in the UK? Do I still need to register with DVLA first before I can use it? Wow! just stumbled on this thread. Int. drivers license is not processed by FRSC it done at the police hqrs at obalende, it can be obtained same day, have done this a couple of times whenever am travelling but i always send the security attached to my office. Kai you for renew your drivers license online prior to you trip and someone would have been able to collect it for you with an authorization letter once its ready. I renewed mine 5 years validity for about N10k online and it was out within 2 months contrary to my thinking that it will take longer, i was surprised when i was called to come pick up my license that it was ready, i was quite impressed for the call. |

UKmigrant: A little about my last UK trip a few months ago. It was my first time in the UK. I needed to go sort out my runs. I was to stay for a total of 6 weeks. To save cost of accommodation, I contacted my cousin in France who has a friend in the city I wanted to stay in the UK and he linked us up. We started chatting several weeks prior to my trip and I even called him a few times. He said there's no issue at all accommodating me. He even promised to pick me up at the airport. Told me how he is really close to my cousin and I have nothing to worry about.
He even asked me to send my flight itinerary which I did. We finally spoke before i departed Nigeria and he said he'd be waiting for me at the airport as I land.
When we landed, I started trying his numbers all to no avail! Called him on whatsapp but he didn't pick up. Sent him several messages on whatsapp and skype, they were delivering but he wasn't reading them. Later the messages also stopped delivering. I decided to chill a little for him thinking he probably had some delays getting to the airport, I no no say I don jonze!
After 4 hours I was still at the airport with no calls from him or reply to any of my messages, I called my cousin in France who also tried to contact him but also couldn't. I then knew that I was on my own. I booked airbnb and took a black cab to the place.
He never called me back throughout my stay in the UK. I tried to message him once, it was delivered but he didn't reply, even up till now. I wonder what was going on in his mind for setting me up to be stranded like that. Thank Jah I was fully prepped for my trip financially and all, so, I just had to spend the money I was trying to manage.
On speaking with some Londoners about it, I learnt that it is a common behavior amongst Nigerians in London. I say na waa o! Brothers behaving like savages to their fellow countrymen. Unless they see clearly that they have something to benefit from you, they avoid you like a plague. The rest na story for another day sha. Dem don show you london style, my cousin whom we housed for years till he travelled abroad at our expense did same to my Dad. |

prestigiouslady: I want to apply for the DS 160 and I've learnt a lot from this thread part 1-3....I pray I'll come back here to give my testimony very soon
But my question is can I apply for DS 160 along with my daughter?? what will I need if I want to apply for her too?? she's just 3years old.. Please what are the chances of both of us being granted visas, we bear different surnames too(she's my daughter but I'm not married to the father), hope that won't cause issues?? You dont apply for DS 160 you fill the DS 160 form while applying for USA visa, Yes you can apply for the USA visa along with your daughter all you need is her int. passport, it doesnt matter if you bear different surname, the onus lies on you to proof that she is your daughter. Your chances depend on how well you can proof to the VO that you are genuinely seeking for visa for the purpose you claim, as no one here is a VO or can tell you your chance. All the best |

KemBee86: Thanks a lot Bro, please ow Long is she permitted to stay at a stretch by law with this 6 months visa. I think it’s 3 months but not so sure. If she stays more than the stated time in her application for her first visit, it may come back to hunt her. Pls stay within the initial proposed date for her first visit then maybe she can extend her stay for her subsequent visit but not exceeding the duration of her visa. |

EmmaIK: Hello guys, I have a question regarding German Schengen visa application in Nigeria.
I recently returned from the UK after about 6 years and I applied for a Schengen visa to Germany to spend some time with my GF based there but was refused on the ground that I did not show sufficient ties to Nigeria. The lady that accepted my documents actually told me this might happen but we decided to proceed anyway. Her reason was that I should have applied in the UK because I have been there for the past years. I have previously been granted a Schengen visa by the German consulate in the UK but on this occasion was told to apply in Nigeria if I wanted the full 3 months because I haven't renewed my UK residency permit which is running out within a month.
Now my question is how do i show this ties to Nigeria? Essentially all of my family are here in Nigeria including parents. Is there any other documents i can provide to show ties? I've had a job for years but it is in the UK so i dont think that counts.
Also is it advisable to get the required documents and apply straight again? or do i wait for some weeks?
Thanks for your response. give abit of time and apply once you can provide financial ties in nig that shows at least 6 months renumeration from your nig employer and include all relevant official documents (offer of employmeny, comfirmation letter, letter of introduction from your employer etc) Otherwise you can apply from the uk once you can provide your financial ties and relevant residency status. All the best |

cocolacec: I have a friend who had applied for schengen visa 3 times this year and he was refused despite fulfilling all the requirement what do you think might be the reason for multiple refusals.
Reason is always ’Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not provided’ I has not provided enough evidence that he is genuinely visiting for a short period to return back to nig. Also he might have filled the wrong class of visa or he hasnt provided strong enough document to back his application |
