globalpaul: Hello gurus in the house & seyewest, we got a family visa to Houston to travel in this month but we changed our plans to travel next month cos my wife's leave was not approved on time. But unfortunately my brother in law who wanted to host us this month won't be available in November to host us until next year February. My question is, can we go to visit my friend in Maryland in November who is ready to host us as against my brother in-law we filled in the ds160 or we should just wait till next year that he will be available to host us. You can visit any time just make sure your purpose of visit is clearly stated when asked and you can explain the change of initial travel plan All the best |

Flourishtemi: Thank you @Brightingsus.
So I attached a sponsors statement- who is my fiancee, who was to provide 300k as his support....that was not mentioned.
I was to visit my older sister who is a uk citizen, she provided her payslips and her savings account. She supposed to provide accomodation and feeding.
I am COMPANY SECRETARY at my job as well as head of admin. Thats why i submitted the cac documents.
As per the payments into my account- my salary account reflected my monthly salaries. I only just got a review to that amount 3 months before. My account receives a lot of cash, mostly payments for company incorporation which i do as a side hustle. I am a lawyer, so I have legal consultancy i provide to friends and family. I did not know i should have explained the source of funds.
Do you think i should reapply correcting all these bearing in mind that this application took 3 months and i have my salary dropping into my salary account. I included another account before i have my savings in another account, as at date I have a savings account with about 700k balance. And i will still have my fiancee co sponsor the trip.
Whats your opinion... quote author=Brightingsus post=61136435]
I have some observations...
I was wondering why you included CAC documents. CAC documents are for people that own businesses or self employed with a company registration. For a visit visa applicant who is an employee whose name is on a company's payroll, you do not need CAC. Too many documents that are irrelevant to an individual's application can be disastrous especially if they open new avenues for the ECO to seek verification.
I do not know why you included two bank statements. You said one is for salary account and the other for your previous earnings. While you changed your job, did you change your bank account as well?
Do you have an additional job or source of income apart from your employment which started in 2015? I think you confused the ECO. Remember it's not enough to just lump up documents and expect the ECO to figure which is which. It's on you to explain everything. I do not know to which extent you were able to do this. The refusal stated there were deposits in your account other than your salary. When you use bank statements, you must explain in writing; especially under 'additional comments' section of the application form, all transactions that do not reflect on your payslip. You must also provide the source, e.g. If it's gift from family or payment for services you rendered.
Let me shock you. The ECOs do not take time to study applications. It's on you to explain everything explicitly like you are talking to a 5 year old. If you expect an ECO to understand what you wanted to communicate, they will always assume the negative.
Also, your closing balance was N600k+ and you quoted to spend N300k; half of your closing balance Now, the ECO would weigh this against the importance of the visit to the UK. You quoted to see family and for tourism. You would have benefitted from saving up more before making the application.
More so, you did not provide enough ties to Nigeria. You being a young adult, I mean in active employment, must provide ties to Nigeria more than ties to the UK. If you provide more ties to the UK and less to Nigeria the ECO would doubt you. I do not know if you are married. If you are you wshoukd have included your marriage certificate. You confused the ECO, you do not need to submit CAC document as it is not the company whose CAC document you submitted that is sponsoring your trip. Too much document without explanation can cause ones application. Chill for awhile and apply later, ensure that explain all additional income into your account with documentary evidence and give thorough explanation of your application. All the best |

CreativeWeb: LadyGuinivere, KaptainAfrika, OmoBendel24, Sebastine1606, judging someone outrightly is not fair just because he was denied Visa.
My wife and I applied and submitted Ds160 form in June. We intended to travel on 10th July and come back in August. We were to spend only 3 weeks. By first week of August, she would be only 7 months pregnant.
But, when we wanted to book appointment, we didn't even get date in June and July. We got August.
We went for interview. Before interview, we were advised never to talk about what we are not asked about.
VO asked us why we are going to the US, we told her we are going for vacation and Synod. She asked if we have kids, we said no. She asked if I have traveled before, I said yes. She asked if we traveled together that time, I said no.
We said the truth. I didn't know I should have told her that we are going for vacation and Synod, and that my wife is pregnant but we didn't intend to have our baby in the US. I didn't know we should have explained that. People told us that if you explain what you are not asked, they will see you as being too forward.
Now, a clergy, a member of our Diocese who has stayed in the US for 37 years is inviting me to a conference in his church. I will be speaking at the conference pro Bono.
My wife can't follow me because of the new born baby. The conference is only 7 days. I want to go for the Conference, but I can also decide not to go. It's not a do or die conference.
I have a life in Nigeria. I pastor a big congregation of an Anglican Church. I'm married with a kid. My wife is a student. And, you are telling me that I'm lying that I just want to relocate to the US. That's not true.
There's no way I can stay beyond the approval of my Lord Bishop. What will I be doing in the US? How will I even parade myself as a clergy without a written letter of release from my Bishop. Unless you mean my Bishop is also part of the shady deal like you have believed.
Where will I stay in the US after the conference is over and my host will be getting ready to escort me to the airport? Does that mean that this elderly clergy who has lived for 37 years in the US is part of the shady deal? I don't have or know anybody in the US.
I'm attending this conference with the permission of my wife. US is not heaven and I still have opportunities to travel the world. I'm not desperate. I'm an international minister of God. It will manifest fully. I will tour nations.
In 2012, I was in India to study multimedia. I knew what I encountered there. I was even single then. India was good. But, after my studies, I left without overstaying for one day.
So, speaking authoritatively that you know all my plans is quite unfair.
This forum or this thread is full of valuable information, but harassing people because you are one of people that give incisive information here, is totally unfair.
There are 101 people that got Visas, yet they lied during the interview.
There are 101 people also that were denied, yet, they said the truth and have ties.
VOs are not God. They are humans. They can misinterpret things.
***
In the thread I created, I wanted to use company and not church because NL is a secular forum. I wanted to paint a normal scenario that was why I used company.
But, later in the thread, I decided to be plain to someone that commented on the thread.
It's like someone saying this - "A friend of mine wants to get Visa to go meet his girlfriend who's a citizen, what are the documents?" Then, later in the thread, he says, "In fact, it's me. Let me explain further how I met her and bla bla."
You can't crucify the person for trying to be anonymous in the first place. We are not conducting interview here. This is why we use usernames and all that. This is why writers use pen names.
So, when I said my company, I was not trying to be shady.
So, please, I'm not trying to play any game. If you advice me that accepting to attend this conference when I have a new born baby who I should stay around to enjoy his arrival, may look as if I'm desperate to the VO, then I can reason with you. But telling me that my plans are bursted, is lame. There no bursting here. I'm credible beyond what you might think.
If I want to relocate to the US as a clergy with my family, there's a laid down procedures for doing it in the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). The Bishop over there, the Primate of the Church of Nigeria and my own Bishop will work it out and I will be applying for Religious Visa, which will enable me to work.
Besides that, no sane clergy of Anglican Church and Roman Catholic Church will just travel with a visiting Visa and then stay back. Stay back for what and on whose episcopal permission?
Thank you. Let's keep on giving value. Dear Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing |

Tamaize: Hello everyone, I have. Been following this trend for all over 3 months. I have been silent. Made an application for 6 months visitors visa for my mom. biometrics was done since 14/6/17 I only got a decision 8/9/17 nearly three months.
I was really disappointed my mom was refused. I was sponsoring the application. I did say she has £500 as her own spending money. Unfortunately my own income wasn't not taking into consideration. It was only my moms. I did offer to spend £1500 To support her
I want some advice please I am thinking of reapplying. I want to fully sponsor this time I'm not sure if is a good idea to reapply immediately? My bank statement has £ 8,00.00 in it my moms has N700.00 I included all required supporting documentation. I really do not know that her account was going to be use in making a decision. As I thought I was the sponsor My mom is 64
I will be attaching the refusal latter I need some advice in future application please Many thanks Since you have stated that she earns an income, you have to provide documentary evidence eg shop permit, biz reg, statmnt of acct, receipt of purchase/payments etc. even if you reapply for her as you been the sole sponsor. You can reapply anytime but you need to defend her previous refusal as much as possible then your presentations must also be tight. All the best |

KaptainAfrika: I made an observation and gave a suggestion. In two transcripts,I have seen, the applicants have been asked for evidence of their relatives status. And I suggested that those who have L.P.R or citizens as relatives, should take evidence, just in-case it is requested for. OUTSIDE OF THAT CONTEXT, DOCUMENTS ARE NOT CHECKED...IF DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE CHECKED, APPLICANTS ARE USUALLY GIVEN 221G PAPER, TO GO AND GET THE DOCUMENTS AND COME BACK. IN ALL THE TRANSCRIPTS POSTED HERE, HAVE YOU SEEN ANYONE BEING ASKED FOR DOCUMENTS OUTSIDE OF BIRTHING, IMMIGRATION AND SCHOOLING?
Read my past post where the issue of document presentation was being debated concerning B!/B2 visa were I was asked evidence of the conference I was going for when I got my 1st usa visa. I remember also one of the vo asking an applicant his hotel booking confirmation so what about that? What class will you place that? |
