I am surprised there is no law against driving on BRT lanes - that is strange y'know - i counted 5 infractions on by Military and Navy personnel driving on BRT lanes this morning. It seems these laws favor the armed forces than civilians only problems i have is with this " Driving without valid driver’s licence. (Penalty) Vehicle to be impounded." It has taken me 9 months to get a valid driver's license, I have been driving with a renewed paper permit since i opted to go for a real driver's license. I hope the procedures to stay legal can be as effective as the laws been put in place check going illegal

As a "Public" Official, you are accountable to the Public and even your Private affairs are open to Public Criticism and Public Opinion. It is called Freedom of Speech - a globally recognized (and hotly defended) Fundamental Human Right in any Democracy. Social Media is just what it is "Social". If the FG's PR Machinery cannot provide Clarity, Transparency and Honesty to the point that the Public are easily swayed by opposition propaganda, perhaps there is some Truth in propaganda. take Babatunde Fashola for example - He has been the target of propaganda materials from opposition parties and smear-artists. They could be right, but it is hard for the public not to recognize Hard Facts about his Administration and the Clarity, Transparency and "Honesty" with which he counters smear-campaigns with provable FACTS

David Mark has long forgotten that the Senate has a long list of issues of which they promised to release known suspects in several Bribery/Corruption incidents since 2008. in recent times we have seen how probes have been quietly discounted and shoved under the carpet amidst scandals and accusations of impropriety of probe-committee members. If the Public cannot reach the minds and thinking of our Leaders through proper channels, why would social media not be an attractive platform doing so. Do you know how many petitions have gone to the Senate since 2005 on key issues around Security, Economy, Health, Education, Governance? It takes the Senate a decade to address common issues that have known solutions in various nations and yet this cataclysmic buffoon attempts to veil the truth under the threat of Social Media.

Unfortunately you cannot censor Facebook (Nairaland definitely) or the Internet as has been proposed on the floor of the Senate in recent times
