I feel you @poster, it seems Atheists will rather be obsessed about the existence of God and other philosophical mysteries that have remained unanswered for the better part of the last century. who cares whether God exists or not. The Religious folks are doing their best to propagate their Faith, why don't we sit back and contribute to Humanity like we should rather than exchanging witless banter with folks who have clearly made up their mind and cannot be bothered to see a different perspective. There is more to life than God and Angels and Fairies and Elvis |
I think the JTF believe that torturing the body is worse than torturing the mind. you can break the body but only when you break the mind can you truly say you have broken someone. a combination of both and some isolatory measures can go a long way. I guess it is the bullet in the back of the head for these boko-boys |
Unfortunately this is the only "political" option for GEJ given the crass nature of Nigeria's Power landscape. The Power Infrastructure Framework in Nigeria is balanced, however the composition of the Ministry of Power and its various sub-agencies are either criminally incompetent or there is a deliberate attempt to ensure that Power fails in Nigeria. In highly institutionalized environments, there is a laid-down, tried/tested structure and strategy for power,it may come up with hiccups but there is a strategy to treat it, all we have here is an over-bloated ministry with aging workers and out-dated knowledge and capacity of modern power infrastructure building/management/distribution. GEJ needs to (too late now) build a Power Team around credible global institutions who have done this in similar environments like India and South Africa. He also needs to build a credible backbone to withstand all the political dramas he will face in his new role as Power Minister ![]() |
Atheists and Christians alike misunderstand the Bible entirely. it is 5% Science, 80% Politics and 15% Atheist ![]() |
That aside, we need to ask ourselves or specifically ask FG how goes the Power Reforms.. is the laid-down framework/strategy for power privatization still on course? I think so.. why are we disturbing ourselves if the car is still moving but with another driver who also knows the destination |

Sadly most Nigerians fail to recognize the fact that it is not our leaders that have failed this nation - WE HAVE. |

@dayokanu.. you should learn to ignore some posts ![]() |
The Discovery of Oil in other regions other than the South is a welcomed development-- nonetheless, the most critical aspect is the institution and infrastructure. Nigeria has demonstrated consistently that it lacks proper institutions with the right people empowered to deliver the right results (it is either political appointees or settlement). Nigeria has also zealously demonstrated her complete lack of infrastructure maintenance and sustainability frameworks, what more evidence than the present odd-ball Petroleum imports which we now engage in, leaving our refineries to cater or less than 20% of local supply. WTF!! |

wiegraf: my real identity is lord beric dondarrion, lightning lord, come to impose the will of the one true god, R'hollor. Address me as my lord, two words, not m'lord, commonerMy Lord Beric. on bent knees do I bid his grace to deem this humble commoner worthy of consideration as a noble Knight of the Crown. |
manmustwac: your giving me work to do right? well this one comes to mind because it degenerates to fighting and insults plus trolling is involved https://www.nairaland.com/578537/santa-vs-god also this one https://www.nairaland.com/575830/god-epic-troll because the topic was started purposely to find trouble. Hope that helpsI don't understand, is it not in the dynamics of Religion/Philosophy to Find Trouble by way of inducing an argument; merely stating what you believe and why. no matter whose ox is gored and regardless of how many times you explain. just because you do not agree with a someone's view does not make him a troll. The Truth is self-evident and comfortably deflects Lies. It can stand bland, sharp, rigorous, abusive criticism without breaking a beat. it is timeless |
