You can see the example of the man who took him to a Law Court, and l applaud that move so much. Let the Courts decide. Most Nigerians are too emotional, instead of being practical. 3.) That l do not join you or others to condemn someone does not mean l am "defending him", .........it simply means "l am being my own man, using my own brain and making my own decisions as to how to treat the person". You will at least agree with me that l reserve that right? 4.) I do not subscribe to the "undue pressure" people mount on others here, just to 'go with the flow' and do as others are doing! I think everyone should be able to make up their minds as to how they want to relate with anyone here. I have seen a 'grown-up man" capitulate under pressure, just to satisfy those who think they make the rules around here! That is very annoying to me and no amount of pressure will change my position. The only thing that can change my views is hard evidence and conviction at the appropriate Courts,.... not Mob Justice! I will treat Brabus the same way l would treat anyone here (with respect, friendliness and fairness), until they dupe me or are convicted of duping someone else, by an competent authority. 5.) Human predators are known to not like being spiked/scratched.. Hardening of Option: Since you are on Solar, (which means you can afford power 24/7), Electrifying the iron mesh/barbed wire fence when you are not around, is an option which can prevent people from trying to jump it (Just put a Big Sign there). You can also get the very BIG Camera (for visibility) at the Four Corners, even if they are just empty Casings! Your Solar can power it (or just a single one with Camera, located at a height where it cant be vandalized). Such Camera (real) can be monitored over your phone and do install Bull Horns (Horn Speaker, again using your constant power source advantage!). Trust me, any average intruder will leave quietly and very quickly, when they hear that from no-where. I have done it (design and operate) so l am speaking from experience. Ensure you have a BIG SIGN letting people know that the property is being remotely monitored. Once in a while, make some noise to let them know it is real (Who is that Man in green shirt? What do you want? Please leave NOW!! The above is a solution, a comprehensive one that builds on what you already have, achieves your set objective and does not impose too much additional cost on you. It make look far fetched to some but trust me, its not as expensive as we think.[/b] But if cash is real tight, Just do a barb-wire fence round, with 3-4 coaches of Blocks from ground. It then follows that l can sue the plaintiff for wrongful accusation and slander/defamation of character and thus claim damages! So, l am wondering where the idea of "settling out of court" came into this one? Are you paying back #5M, as a sort of out of court settlement (in which case, your liability would have been established, a-priori) Was the Suit itself WITHDRAWN by the Plaintiff? On what grounds and with what conditions attached? If that is the case, then l have a feeling this has nothing to do with "Stealing #5M" as alleged. I am just sad that a lot of negative publicity was given to the stealing #5M story (even before a conviction was got!), especially in these days when "digitalisation of documents" will ensure that even your grand-kids read that story! The proper thing would have been for them to retract the story that Bosun DID NOT steal #5M as alleged and give it the same or even more publicity You know, Good name is more valuable than Gold and people like me dont take it kindly when you tarnish my "real family name". *** if l am in your shoes, what would l do? **** Well, that will depend on if l actually commit the alleged crime (stealing #5M) or not: 1.)
