Pattey: Which multitudes? The ones you counted during your referendum abi?

I suppose it doesn't matter how many people come out in supposed 'protest' anymore, so long as the west has certified them as majority, they are the majority, right?

And while you're still running the figures, do you know how many people died during Occupy bla bla protests in US and other western countries? Well, you may not so google and see the figures. They covered up so it wouldn't look significant.

That last one brings us to; No government will ever tolerate any threat to its existence. More so, the moment you pick up arms against the government, you lose every right to protection. QED

If you're picking arms against the government, you must be darn ready to see it through! You don't start the fight and start crying unfair advantage, like seriouslyhuh!!! If your struggle is legit and you have 'the majority' it will NEVER take this long to topple an 'unwanted government'
.
Well put.
Civil Protest and Violent, Armed overthrow of a Govt are NOT the same thing!
Not even America will allow you to hold a weapon over a single Policeman, in the name of "protest" (You get shot immediately, no questions asked).... not to talk of a govt!

Question is: Who used the gas?

The Answer lies in one simple "logical question": Who stands to benefit from its use?

a.) Will Assad actually use the gas when he knew for over a year, that this was the "excuse' the West and America needed to invade his country? You think he is that stewpid and suicidal? I dont think so.

b.)Since America and the West have refused to supply heavy weapons to the rebels, since they are losing the war, what other options are open to them than to "force the hand of America and its Allies INTO THE WAR",.... on their behalf?

I dont credit myself with being smart but l also dont credit myself with being this stewpid, if l cant deduce this!
Its a No-Brainer!

c.) Who else stands to benefit in the destruction of Syria?
1.) Israel: We have posted some of the reasons before (To become the hegemonic de-factor Super power in the region).
Strangely, it is also Israel that is providing "the Intelligence" America and Europe is relying on, to blame Assad for the use of the Chemical Weapons! Is that no suspicious and a strange coincidence?

2.) Israel again!: The long term goal is Iran but Iran could be a "difficult and dirty war" if and if their friends and allies/sympathisers are not "neutralised" before hand. Those "friends of Iran" have to be weakened and broken-up before an attack on Iran. That way, Iran is weakened and isolated.

From my own assessment, America will attack Syria latest by Sunday Night.
U.N inspectors MUST leave by Saturday morning. Obama is "committed" to keep his words spoken a year ago.
he was naive and pushed into making that statement, he was fooled into not looking or doubting the intelligence he is relying on, to blame Assad. Now he has No CHOICE! wink wink

History and time will prove me right, just like in the Iraq war, The Libyan conflict, this one too will come and go.

*What is the take of you guys on this? When is the attack likely to start? Will it be "shock and awe" as usual, will it take out Assad immediately? What about Russia, will it bark but refuse to bite as usual or will it get involved this time? Will Turkey seize the opportunity to invade? The U.N Report, how credible is the U.N itself, going by the pronunciations of Ban Ki Moon in the past? Lets discuss.

Lastpage!

Okay, this kind of 'discussion on paper' gets a bit long if it is going to be meaningful.
I understand those who cant read more than ten lines, nothing l can do about it, just skip my post and stop complaining.
My apologies.

Let us leave that side and reason together:

1.) When the war started and Assad was winning, the Rebels asked for military support. At that point, No one was even thinking of using Chemical weapons.

2.) Then Israel (yes, same Israel) shared intelligence that Syria's chemical weapons could get into the hands of Alquaeda and other groups it classed as terrorists.

3.) America and its allies were not sure where the weapons requested by the Rebels will end. So they delayed and Assad forces keep gaining ground!

4.) Obama then came on air and declared that "Use of Chemical weapons will be a red line which if crossed, america will intervene militarily. Dont ask me "on whose side" or "against whom", that answer is obvious.

5.) Then Israel began to bomb targets in Syria (it did it about three occasions). It tried to "soften" the Syrian Army so the rebels can gain an upper hand. Everyone was hoping Assad could be toppled without foreign intervention. Mind you, Israel claimed it was bombing Weapons destined for Hezbollah and other groups, from Assad Govt. How can a Govt at war, under blockade, be dashing out its weapons at that time?

6.) Then we saw how the rebels tried to manufacture "crude chemical weapons" and began testing it on Animals. There are many videos online where they tested it and said this is "how Assad and his supporters will die".

7.) Still, no "major" weapons was coming from the West. Saudi Arabia, Quatar and Turkey acted as conduits and suppliers of light weapons to the rebels bust still, they could not turn the war in their favor, rather, Assad forces were gaining more grounds!

8.) Then some rebels were caught in Turkey (A supporter of the Rebels) with Cannisters of chemical gas! Social Media was quick to publish this apprehension but officially, the news was blacked-out from western media screens. Syria also showed the world under ground tunnels in areas just captured from rebels, with hundreds of drums from Quatar, containing AGs preparation agents! Again, most Western News media blacked this out.

9.) Suddenly, in an area where Assad forces were conducting operations against the Rebels, with a lot of his soldiers on ground, Sari gas was used. Note that you only need about a cup of this gas to kill thousands of people as it quickly turns to vapour gas and is carried in the air.

10.) Before you could say 'Obama', the Red line predicted a year later has suddenly been crossed and America must intervene, as we know now, against the Assad regime!

Question is: Who used the gas?

The Answer lies in one simple "logical question": Who stands to benefit from it use?

Ufuoma UN: You do not §ëë any big picture. Your facts ain't sound. How do u expect me to believe your funny theory of saying this whole drama is an isreali ploy to dominate the middle east. Its sound like a joke from a story book. As much as you want to believe that the USA often meddle in international politics out of greed and personal gain, you might also want to know that kids are dying everyday in syria, women are dying. Something needs to be done.

If you remember vividly this crisis started when the syria govt began to open fire on protesters, killing them with roof snipers and all that. Why would a govt sworn to defend its subjects bring them death in return. The fact remains that the syrian govt has increasingly become unpopular over the past few months. Call a spade a spade. The Assad regime has outlived its welcome.

I'll gladly support any such initiative by Uncle Sam.
Sir,
Lets wait a bit, lets wait for the Americans to "tell the world" their EVIDENCE which shows that IT WAS ASSAD that gassed his people. Then, you can believe whatever you think is right, logical and sensible.

How are we sure it is "Govt forces" that killed those people you talked about? The last time Boko Haram killed in Borno state, they were wearing Nig. Army Uniforms! Does that make them "Nigerian" Govt forces?
Who amongst us does not know how to "put meat in the mouth and make it disappear"? Yoruba adage! grin wink

On israel, I want you to review ALL ISRAELI PRONUNCIATION on this Syria issue in the last two weeks or so.

*Israeli PM said last week: We monitor ALL their conversation and from their conversation, we can conclude that it was Assad forces that used the Nerve gas. (But they failed to make such conversation public!)

*Next day, Obama said: "Our friends in the region" have "told us" that it was Assad that used chemical weapons.
When asked if this information was credible and who told them, he said "They are credible" ...but refused to name their friend in the Middle East who told them so!

*Today, just before his motion was defeated in the House, David Cameron of britain repeated that same line: "Our ally in the Middle East told us they monitor chatter of the Assad Regime, before and after the gas attack and Britain is sure it is Assad that the gas. He also failed to "name" the Ally country in the Middle East.

Meanwhile Israel was quickly distributing gas masks to its population, even before America and Britain made it public that they would attack Syria!

Ralphlauren: I currently earn £450 a day (before tax) and i thought I was big.

few weeks ago, someone really close to me got a job as an engineer with one of the top multinational oil companies in nigeria. this person was born, bred and schooled in nigeria. i saw the employment offer letter and I was green with envy.

the total pay package was outstanding.all sorts of benefits and allowances.as a matter of fact, the firm will also give my friend substantial money towards purchasing a home anywhere in nigeria after working with them for some certain years. I am really envying him and right now, I am seriously on the lookout for job opportunities in Nigeria.

i do not understand where this poster got the impression that NIN are jealous of people in diaspora.
That is why l said the crazy hag of a Jennifer Kadry does not represent the opinion of NID.
Whether NID or NIN, we are all Nigerians and we all roll and collaborate together.

Does anyone have an Update on this Medical Doctor that was arrested for Videoing those crooks in black Uniform?
Politics › Re: Man Detained For Recording Arrest Of Okada Rider by lastpage: 4:59pm On Aug 29, 2013
ugsams: It seems the idea of having some of their members in mufti to cover up and watch out for them is their new protective measure. I was codedly taking pictures at Abule Egba and one of them hit me from behind, I never knew he was a police man so I pushed him back and we started dragging for my phone. I only realized that he was one of them when he raised an alarm that I was taking their pictures and the uniformed men came to pick me. They wanted me to enter the black Maria but I refused and they accused me of violating their privacy. I was not going to argue the law with them, all I wanted was my freedom. So I tried to explain to them that I only took the picture because I was amazed as a result of the number of bikes that they seized successfully and the number of offenders arrested in the black Maria. They asked me what I wanted to do with the photo I told them that I only took it on a casual note.

All these while, they were still with my phone and after my sermon I was directed to enter the blackmaria. When I saw that my explanations couldnt help me I told their superior that am a journalist. They insisted that I must follow them to the office, i was busy pleading for my phone so that I will be leaving. After some minutes the most superior observed that there was a circumstance on ground, he came out of his vehicle and motioned them to bring me. When we got to his car, they told him I was taking photos and he told them that it was not a crime. They pointed out that it was pictures of them that I was taking and the man asked my motive and I explained to him. They also told him that am a journalist and suggested they take me to the station. The Oga in charge of the raid, asked if I have sent out the photos to my office or internet and demanded for my identity card, I said no and he requested I should delete the photos which I gladly did. He warned that I should take permission next time before I take any photo and told me that if it was just the boys that came for the raid that they would have arrested and dealt with me.

Please let's be careful when taking such photos if only we must take them. Our society is not yet ready for such freedom a telephoto lens or spy camera may be helpful.
From what we've read so far, it is obvious that he Police are hell-bent on intimidating the public into submission?
But the day we give up and submit to them, is the day we sell our souls and submit to a second round of slavery!

Remember, in the olden days of human slavery, the "public" could have revolted against their KING who violated their human rights and sold them into SLAVERY? But they were too fearful and "submitted to intimidation". It took the white slave-buyers to say "we dont want any more slaves", for slavery to stop!

My friends, if you dont do it for yourself, just do it for your children and their children.
Why is Martin Lurther King still being celebrated today? FOR THE SACRIFICES HE MADE FOR THE MASSES IN HIS LIFE TIME.

*When you are filming/recording,
1) Dont place the camera at "head-level or eye level" ..it makes it so obvious you are recording. Work out the angle and focus the phone-camera lense on the "object" while you pretend to do other things.
I have done a recording while facing the opposite direction (Camera was at my back facing object while l leaned on a railing looking and facing the opposite direction!).
2.) You can record "audio only" even with the phone INSIDE your pocket! It will pick-up the voice and you can "amplify it" if need be, to make it louder! This is particularly useful when dealing with "Police or other people who ask for bribe.
3.) You dont have to be close to the action to record video! You can "zoom-in" on the object of interest, from a long way off!

*I will also encourage everyone to "affiliate" with an organisation, be it local or foreign. CNN, Aljhazeera, Russian TV (RT), The Guardian, local Newspapers, Reporters without Borders, e.t.c. Post articles and videos there.
When they ask you, tell them you are a journalist, a FREELANCE journalist. It comes in handy when their "bullying and intimidating" tactics dont work anymore. These sources will expose them to the world surely and the fact that you have been a contributor to their News site will help you in that regard. What their oga and the Govt dont want is exposure of their corrupt activity, to the "big world" .

EVIDENCE is your best protection in anything that has to do with the LAW!
Tell the Police that your phone is "internet connected and programmed to send out any photo or recording you make", to at least three people's computer.... just in case anything happens to you! wink wink
(Note: This is actually true as l have "automatic syncing" enabled between my phone and about three different Email address l chose. You can enable it whenever you think you need to do so, just to save you "bandwidth cost" but mine is left "on", 24/7. I am encouraging everyone to do same.)

It has saved me once, in a dangerous situation as l told the Police man that even as l am "discussing" with him (He was actually threatening me), the conversation is being heard and recorded by at least three people so, even if he takes my phone or kill me, it does not change anything!
He smiled (sudden change of countenance!) and asked me to teach him how to do something like that! I gave him a fake phone number and asked him to call me later when he is off duty ... but he let me go -- "carry your wahala away"!
Teach you so you can use it for evil, right? shocked shocked

This is a "war" we have to win. Its part of our "citizens effort" to improve our society.
Keeping quiet is NOT an option.

And our "Lawyers" need to "step-up" their game! huh huh WHY are they so fearful and easily intimidated?
The reason they are "learned people" is because they know the "in-and-outs" of the law and they say "Knowledge is Power"!
Use it to your advantage and benefit of the people.
Let us keep suing the Police if they harass us or anyone we know or come across.
Little by little, we will dent their armor of corruption, harassment and intimidation.

Nogen: Why don't you direct all your grievances and insults to those in power, maybe there will be a positive change instead of insulting ordinary and helpless citizens on Nairaland!!!!!
Let me say something here, this Eediot does not represent the OPINION of N.I.D. in any way.
She is just one deranged Ashawo without any modicum of dignity.
She is utter crass and if you check properly, you will realize that she's had a traumatized upbringing (according to her previous post here on NL, her father is a drunk, a failure who impregnated her mother when he was just 19yrs old and barely finished secondary school; even mother is another ashawo who brought men home in her husbands presence so they can eat!)
Bottom line, we are who we are by virtue of our upbringing and this Jennifer Kadry has the worst upbringing any ANIMAL can have!
What is the big deal about living in the Diaspora? Why would a sane person keep yapping over this all the days of her life when she actually just got her Aussy papers as late as dec. 2010? Why is this 'Baby Diasporean' so excited? Australia for that matter! grin

I have lived "legally as a citizen" in the Diaspora for over a decade (with wife and kids) and as far as l am concerned, l am still who l am. A properly grounded NIGERIAN ....with a dual citizenship.

There are two types/Groups of Nigerians in Diaspora:

1.) Those who see living in Diaspora as "just one of many opportunities" available to them.
These group of people are already "somebody" before going abroad. They are well educated, have solid jobs, earn fat pay or own their own business and live a relatively comfortable life in Nigeria before going abroad.

These set of people sit down one day and ask themselves: What other thing can l do for my family?
In my own case, l decided that having an "additional, second citizenship" (instead of our yearly long vacation abroad) for everyone, especially my kids, might be just be another notch for them, later in life. Not becaue we hate our country of origin, but because we felt it might perhaps be beneficial in future (example: A syrian citizen with say Canadian citizenship has the opportunity to leave the place before they start bombing it in a few days)
Thus, we relocated and set-up a second home, abroad. Groups of NID like this, came with loads of money, qualifications and settled-in immediately. They relocated on their own terms and maintained their standard of living and went on to do better things in Diaspora.
But most importantly, this group never forgot where they came from nor look down on those they left behind!
This group never denigrate or curse their fatherland simply because they now have an "alternative".
This group continuously work for and believe things have got to improve in Nigeria and will do anything to effect change in the country, by offering the knowledge, know-how and experience, when asked for and when needed.

2.) The second group of Nigerians in Diaspora are those that are "A NOBODY" in Nigeria, before they found themselves Abroad.
This group are people who were ab initio, uneducated, poorly or completely "mis-educated" for all intent and purposes! They see going abroad as "the ONLY OPTION" available to them. Their life in Nigeria is horrible, they come from very poor family background, they have become very DESPERATE and are very desperate to go abroad.
People in this group will sell properties, dupe people, commit 419 and do just about anything (like hiding in the tyre carriage compartment of an airplane or stowing-away on a ship or using false identity...) ...to get out of the Nigeria.
This group did not make any conscious choice as per which country they landed, be it Libya, Yemen, Thailand, Ethiopia or even far-flung Australia! grin grin ...they just want to "get out"! shocked

This sort of people never applied themselves properly in Nigeria, to make 'a success' of the little opportunity they have here. They see 'abroad' as the land of milk and honey! When they get abroad, they get a rude shock and eventually become disillusioned, depressed and very very hateful!
These group of people blame Nigeria and Nigerians for all their woes!
grin

They are full of bile because their life have been destroyed by no other person than their own laziness and vision lessness! You can literally feel the "hate and disappointment" oozing from every word/statement they make! Everywhere they go, they look for "Negatives" in Nigeria, just to justify their own failure.

They prefer living all their miserable life, as second-class citizens of their adopted country, a place where their opportunities are limited ....(whether you like it or not, as a Naturalized citizen which they are, as opposed to 'native born', your aspirations have a limit.)... and they have given up and come to accept their lot in life as 'a failure' but cannot stop the pain in their heart and having lost out in the battle of success in life!

This group are so bitter and full of shyte, hate and very caustic that you would at times wonder whether something is eating them-up, from the inside. Their lives are "empty and shallow" even though they try to put up an appearance of "being happy and okay"!
This mo.r.on called Jeniffer kadry belongs to this second group.
She is just a waste of space and it is this type of lunatic that would run down Nigeria and Nigerians, even amongst foreigners, who incidentally just look at her as a form of "comedy and entertainment in bad taste (while she is rolling on the floor trying to make them 'accept her' as one of them, something that would never happen!

I am happy as an NID but l am even happier to associate and maintain my Nigerian roots and blood ...as a NIN.
if you have lived permanently abroad, after living and working at top level in Nigeria, you will no doubt agree with me that "Nigeria still Rocks".
I can understand those who were "born abroad or taken abroad at an early age", they dont know "any difference" in both worlds but only someone who was a failure in Nigeria would not understand what it is "about Nigeria" that sets it apart.

At times, l just imagine what Nigeria would have been, if we can sort out our teething problems? A Paradise!
Since these challenges, especially "Power, Security and Corruption" are not unsolvable, l have hope and l know we can solve these problems.
We just need the "few right people in positions of influence", to lead and direct the larger majority.

For people like Jennifer Kadry, they are confined and condemned to a life of second fiddle, second class, hate, bitterness and perpetual stigmatization since where they are now, is NOT their "Origins" and where their Origin is, they have alienated themselves from.
I will suggest to you (Jennifer Kadry), to ship your parents and extended families to Australia, cut-off all links with Nigeria.
Dont even come to visit or why do shameless hags like you still come to visit a place they hate so much when you can easily remove and relocate your parents/relative to where you feel comfortable?
huh
We dont want you to come here at all less you infect us with some "far-flung disease"! grin grin

Just imagine the Fuggly-Ugly Cow, trying to "look and imitate" a Caucasian Australian? huh huh grin grin
In Nigeria, you dont fit-in, In Australia, you are unwanted and barely tolerated!

Simply-put, you are LOST! CONFUSED, HATE-FILLED AND VERY BITTER!
But no be me or NIN cause your problem now? shocked shocked

Take it from me, NID who are successful abroad, who have "conquered abroad" are always very willing to come back HOME, coming home is their next challenge. They've seen it all. wink

My brother,
There is never a reason to "curse" God!
Nigeria is underdeveloped, Bad leadership, cowardly followership, No light and bad roads, yet we are a blessed nation in terms of resources. We can go on and on.

But even at that (and l hope we can get our acts together real fast), ....even at that, if you "think deeper", you will come to the realization that despite all aforementioned issues, we still have a lot of reasons to "Bless and Thank God"!

In Nigeria:
*Where is the incessant Earthquake of Japan/China/Philippines area?
*Where is the annual festival of Typhoon and Cyclones of the US and other European countries?
*Where is the yearly Australian and American sacrifice of "Wild Bush fires" like the one that killed 21 fire officers about a month or so ago?
*Even though we have Boko haram, it is till a childs-play compared to what goes on in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan axis!
*Where is the unrepentant flooding that carries people away like Osun ritual as in the New Orleans debacle?
*There are Armed Robbers here but the number they kill pales compared to the number of senseless, needless and unprovoked death from Gun violence that goes on in the West!

I can go on and on.......so, we gat plenty reason to BLESS GOD.
And even if we think we dont, we will still BLESS GOD. In everything, we will still bless and thank God! wink

Nigeria Police: The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a medical representative, Gregory Muonylilo, for allegedly video recording policemen who were arresting a commercial motorcyclist.
The Question the Police I.G needs to answer is whether it is NOW a CONSTITUTIONALLY -BACKED CRIMINAL OFFENCE to record Video of Police men on duty (as Public Servants), in a Public Place. The emphasis is on "public place".

PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspect was arrested at the Amuwo Odofin area of the state by policemen attached to Area E Command.

Nigeria Police: The policemen were said to have attempted to arrest a commercial motorcyclist for breaking the traffic law, while the suspect was recording the incident.

The suspect’s brother, Onyeka, said, “Apparently the policemen set up a checkpoint in front of his office yesterday (Monday) and were harassing okada riders. He started recording it
*This man was in his own office. he has a legal right to be in his office and that right is protected by the constitution.
*This man was using his own phone, using part of the function "in-built" into his smart phone.
*It is every citizens duty to "help the Police" in the detection and prevention of a POSSIBLE OCCURRENCE of crime, irrespective of whoever the criminals might turn out to be (I guess the Police would be happy to use his recordings if it turned out the Okada man shot one of the Police and ran away!). So the man was only doing his "citizens duty" and cannot be punished for that.

Nigeria Police: “The policemen saw him and became agitated. They collected his phone and left.”

“They came back around 4pm, arrested him and took him to their station.
*This is nothing short of impunity and tyranny! They have no right to deprive him of his property, lawfully acquired.
* Worst they could do is to ask him what he was recording and if there is need at all, ask him to delete it (as in cases of National Security being at risk... and this must be proven convincingly!

Nigeria Police: “From Amuwo Odofin, they took him to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, where he was detained.”
The I.G has added illegal detention to part of the problems of the Police in this particular case!
The way he was transferred to the SARS/X-Department shows that the Police hierarchy are involved in this criminality and must have given "direct orders" to their foot soldiers to "target and liquidate anyone trying to expose Police criminality".
What "probable cause" / reason did the Police establish to warrant their transferring this man to locations specifically set-up for armed robbers, terrorists and high-risk criminals?
Who ordered this transfer?
Why is the lagos Police PRO (Ngozi Braide) complicit in this matter?

Is this the Police that our amiable I.G promised us he would build and reform? Is this his reform agenda? Oga at the Top please tell us o!

Nigeria Police: PUNCH Metro learnt that ever since the dismissal of a police sergeant, Chris Omeleze, who was caught on camera demanding bribe from a motorist, policemen have become paranoid about people recording their activities.

When contacted on the telephone, Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, denied claims that the policemen were harassing the okada rider.

She also debunked claims that the victim was taken to SARS. She said he was taken to the X-Squad Department
If this man could be snatched-up from his office, and treated this way, imagine what could have happened if the incident occurred in one remote location, say along the express road of Ibadan or Benin?
This criminals would have shot him dead and declare him an armed robber!
And what would PRO Ngozi Braide say? Your guess is as good as mine. wink

Nigeria Police: She said, “The policemen were on legal duty and they had apprehended an okada rider for riding on a restricted route. I spoke to the man who was arrested and he never told me that the policemen were asking for bribe from the commercial motorcyclist they were trying to arrest. The man was recording and we do not know his motive.”
http://www.punchng.com/metro/police-nab-man-recording-arrest-of-okada-rider/
*No one is even disputing whether the Police are on "legal duty or not".
*At least we can deduce that from the video the man was recording.
*Publish that Video in its complete form and let the world decide whether it is so or otherwise.
*A competent court can request for that video and if you claim to have deleted it, then you can be arrested and jailed for "tampering with evidence". Simple
*That "you do not know his motive" is a very silly excuse to arrest him and detain him at SARS or X-Department!
All you need to do is ask him his motive. it may just be that he is doing a research on "Police/Public Relationship".

I have taken time to highlight a few things in this episode above to assist those who are in the position to take this up.
It is a very simple "slam-dunk" case and l think this Man should be assisted to be freed first and then institute a legal civil case against the Nigeria Police.
We can only change this country if we all act and sit-up.
This is my own contribution.
Others should please contribute their own in any way they are eminently qualified to do.

Cityguy: It is unfortunate the kind of mindset most Nigerian have and most comments I've seen so far only go to embolden Police impunity the more. In advanced countries of the world, CCTV is the order. For us, corruption will nt allow our rulers to do the right thing though we have more than required. Until we arrive there, we should continue to record everyone's misdemeanor on our phones. We should nt allow them break our spirit.
God bless you!
This is an incident that every right thinking person should be angry over!
*It is a violation of our fundamental rights.
*What happened is sheer INTIMIDATION, ASSAULT AND ILLEGAL DETENTION.
*Its an abuse of Power by all the Policemen involved and the Lagos state Police PRO

WE DEMAND THEY THEY ALL BE SACKED AND THE PRO DEMOTED ASAP!

The Lawyers in-house, the Freedom fighters, the NGO's, Rights activist should not fold there hands and let this happen.
Imagine if Gani fawehinmi were alive today!

If they came for this man... and we kept quiet, then they will surely come for "ME" next! angry angry

Let us petition the I.G and the Senate president and the office of the President on this man's matter.

Can someone supply us with credible Email links to these public figures please?

REALITY101: Ok you are in Nigeria and know how your fuccked up system works, stop being a jerkass. #police-business

About or more ago a man's dog was shot to death by police in Texas because he was walking his dog around his neighborhood and saw SWAT team on a crime scene so he started recording the action. When the 'police approached him, his dog as man's best friend jumped out of the car via rolled down window trying to attack the officers and kaboom they pulled the trigger...

Nobody wants his arss on YouTube for some stupid shit. Moral of the story: mind your business sometimes
You are a REAL JACKASS!
There is no single moral in your story, its just a stewpid recount of an event, to suit you silly mindset!

*It was the Dog that was shot,....Not the Man!
*It was the man that was "recording" ,.... Not the Dog!!
*Neither the man nor the Dog was shot FOR RECORDING A VIDEO!

THE DOG WAS SHOT FOR ATTACKING THE POLICE!
That is simple enough, if you attack the police and their life is "proven or provable to be endangered", they have a right to protect and sustain their life!
The committee had told the government that the union leaders were arrogant and selfish as their interest was paramount to that of their students who had been at home all this while.
Lets not deceive ourselves, the issue in dispute has Nadda to do with student's interest!
ASUU is fighting for their pocket while the F.G is also fighting for its own loot!
Both ASUU and F.G are only trying to "incite sympathy and hatred" by trying to use the "student interest" angle to their own advantage!
But it is a shame if two grown-ups with "power" cannot reach an amicable settlement.
The government after the report told the committee members that it had fresh security report that the union's stance on the lingering crisis in the education sector was as a result of the opposition's infiltration into the union.
I thought our leaders had more sense than to believe such "security report", even if one of their Laptop Dogs wrote such gibberish?
Every f00l can push blame and point fingers and it is a disgrace that President Jonathan will allow such silly statements to be made on his behalf!
So, if truly the opposition had infiltrated the Union.
Question is "Did you not have an agreement with the Union prior to now"?
*Did you implement that agreement?
*If you had good intentions, why did you not call the leadership of the Union and seek "their understanding" on the need to probably spread-out the implementation of the agreement?
*Or did the F.G actually sign the agreement knowing fully well it will never honor it? How dishonorable?
*If ASUU's intransigence is to be blamed, dont you think ASUU is also aware of the way and manner you loot and waste public funds? So, why should they forsake their own "share of the cake"? If ASUU sees you belt-tightening, l am sure no one will tell ASUU before they themselves know its not time for profligacy!
*If Madam Umberella can allocate national funds for her own project to the tune of Billions of naira, if Aso Rock can allocate Billions of Naira for "Entertainment/Food", if Legis-looters can increases their own salaries at will so much so its the highest of any democracy in the world, why should ASUU members be suffering themselves to save you money?

This current govt is shameless and a disgrace! It is irrational, uncaring and very corrupt.
The government in breaking the negotiation has decided to fund individual student's education as it is done in advanced countries.
The above is another example of how CLUELESS this Fed. Govt is! Is the issue about student loans? Why is it now that you want to give student educational loans ...like you are the one paying their schools fees hitherto!
*This is just another trick, to deflect issues. You want to create another "Corrupt Monster" whereby you will give the money to some of your friends (crooks like Anenih!) who will then loot it with nothing to show for it and students will still be suffering and the standard of education will be in tatters!
*How come you are not able to give loans to SME's, Mortgage loans to all civil servants to buy their own homes, loans to small farmers, loans to the millions of unemployed Youths with business ideas?
*Okay, no one needs your stewpid loans, just provide stable electricity and Youths will create employments for themselves!

porka: .............
5) Israel is protected by the US, therefore Saudi Arabia tolerates Israel (at least presently).

6) Iran's quest to dominate the region with its own brand of Islam is fueling its ambition to go for the ultimate weapon, NUKE.
................

16) You may want to google the number one source of funding for terrorism and see who really has "inordinate desire to spread terrorism".
I should not quote everything you wrote but l give you "Thumbs Up" for your post.
Brilliant.

I want to discuss further, points 5 and 6:
In my own opinion. l think Iran wants to acquire the NUKE for the following reasons:

1.) Iran can see the "big picture" wrt what Israel and the U.S is trying to achieve in that region. The Palestinian situation has taught them a very big lesson: Israel will do anything to dominate tha region, with U.S unquestionable/blind support

2.) Israel and the Arabs/Muslims (thats the way the West sees Iran as well) can never be friends unless Israel is ready to see them as EQUALS. With its advanced weaponry and Nuclear weapons, Israel has come to the conclusion that It MUST use force as the only means to suppress the other nations of the M/East. Whether this is a right policy decision or not, the future will tell.

3.) Israel, while being helped to develop its own Nuclear arsenal by the U.S, has bombed every other country trying to develop any form of Nuclear capability! I think that is very morally wrong though those who dislike the Arabs (and l am one of them 'cos l think they could be very violent over very minor things that could have been settled amicably and l sometimes tremble at what 'may' happen if and when one "Arab" country gets the Nuke) they cannot be trusted with such a weapon, to use it sensibly!.
But Pakistan has it ...and it is a Muslim country so, the paranoia from people like me may just be misplaced!

4.) Iran sees itself as a champion of the M.East people ...(it has supported their struggle against the West after what happened to it, during the "Shah's era"wink ...and it sees itself as the best option, with its long persian history and tradition, to liberate that area.

5.) I think Iran will eventually get the Nuke..... l also think that it will never use it!
Once the Iranians have the Nuke, I think Israel will learn to behave itself in that region as well as let the Palestinians have their freedom and land.
Right now, there is no incentive for Israel to do the right thing especially with the blind support of the U.S.
My position is that Iran wants and needs the Nuke to counter Israeli power and oppression in that region.

6.)As to spreading its own brand of Shia Islam, l dont think Iran needs a nuke to do that?
Even as at now, Iran is a dominant power there (Aside Israel, it is far superior to any other country around it).
The Saudis are nothing but puppets who depend on their oil and American military hardware, which they cannot even operate.... grin ...while the embargo has turned Iran into a semi-high-tech manufacturer of weapons, crude as it may seems, for lack of spare-parts and barricade of getting parts from other advanced economy,
but the most important ingredient (THE KNOW-HOW) is already in the iranians hand.
Even the Americans were surprised Iran could detect and down their high-tech Drones but they downed quite a few recently (and copied it as well wink ).

No country is going to nuke another country right now or in the future.
Self preservation will override any such madness. Not even a mad Iran or Israel.
If any country will do it, it will be Israel! trust me on that. The day will come when everyone will see Israel's "true color". For now, they are hiding behind the sympathy of the Nazi War. wink

Moreover, l think everyone is copping-on now that you can fight smart! There are smaller weapons that can "decapitate the enemy" to the point of surrender without wiping-off everything on ground.
Drone technology is the future of modern wars! A very cowardly way of fighting! grin grin

Teach our kids to be very good at those video games and computer/network hacking, that is where the future lies both in jobs and in war! ...at least for the next 20-30 years!

Surprised ke? I was paid 50million US Dollars to write it! MUGUN! grin grin
Its just shows l dont belong to your league when it comes to international affairs.
I did not write to get into arguments with people like you or anyone for that matter.
I wrote my points just for a few people with brain and exposure "to read and ponder on" (they dont even have to accept my view, its just my own opinion). wink

Lordlexy: If territorial supremacy is israeli cocerns over the arab dominated region, tell me why would Saudi and turkey being an arab nation support the west on this conquest to weaken syria and iran like you deduced for israeli sake since their actions will backfired at them?
Since you asked a question (l would expect that the answer should be very obvious to any intelligent person who has small knowledge of whats going-on), here is the answer:

For Saudi Arabia: its a game of expanding their brand of Islam. The more countries that are ruled by their "sect", the more powerful and influential Saudi Arabia gets in that region. If Saudi Arabia was not afraid (of Arab reaction) to be an American puppet in the war against Saddam (over a non-existent WMD and knowing that 95% of the people alleged to have bombed the World Trade center are Saudi citizens, even Osama bad-liden!), why would it give any qualms about installing its own Sect of Islam in Syria, by supporting those who support the rebels?
Do you not see that Israel is the biggest beneficiary of what is happening in the Arab nations right now? Where is the "democracy" in Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, e.t.c huh

For Turkey: Turkey ahs been begging to join the E.U for God knows how long now. Turkey will do anything for the "West", to be seen and accepted as a "Western nation" but the Caucasians (real whitey people) will never accept Turkey as one of them.
Ask yourself, why would a powerful Turkey be begging for protection from a weakened Syrian Govt so much so it wanted and allowed the E.U and USA to locate Patriot Missiles on its land? (Can you not see that it has just allowed the "West" to station a patriot Defense Missile in Russia's sphere of influence? Something that America/E.U will give it a "thank you my boy" for!)
Turkey is about the strongest nation in that neighborhood already if l may say and does not need any Patriot missile!

Again, you must see beyond the surface and factor-in the Turkish internal dynamism vis-a-vis its Kurdish population and it would do anything to appease the West so that they would not encourage the Kurdish, Separatist PKK to suceed in their war of independence with Turkey. The Kurdish are spread all over from Iraq (where they are semi-independent via the No-Fly zone imposed in the last America-Iraqi war), to Syria, to Iran, e.t.c .. and they want to form one single country of their own.
If Turkey does not or is not seen to be more western than the Westerners themselves, ..and they just give recognition to the "Kurdish struggle", Turkey as seen today is finished (same civil unrest and eventual civil war as in Syria will ensue).
That my friend is the interest of Turkey in supporting the rebels.

Lordlexy: Israel had proven over again that independently, it can take on any nation or nations successful. The interest of the western nation in the arab affairs is not so much for israeli sake but to institute democracy base on the yearning of the ppl and contain the possibility or tendency of any ligitimate govt with the potential to support or fund terrorism. The likes of libya and currently syria and later iran perfectly portray nations with inordinate desire to spread terrorism. I will advice you to get your facts right b4 coming to the public to speculate tales thriven emotions.
You are very very naive!
This has NOTHING to do with democracy!
If it was about Democracy, then America and the West would have supported the yearnings of the citizens of Saudi Arabia whose govt is even worse than that of Saddam and Assad combined. Maybe you think they practice democracy in Saudi Arabia? grin grin

What about Bahrain
(that hosts the U.S military fleet and a key U.S ally puppet like Saudi Arabia)?
Why is the West blind to the killings of citizens who protest for democracy in bahrain? or did Saudi Soldoers not even drive into Bahrain to help quell such protests, violently last year?

Dont make me laugh with this your "to support democracy nonsense"!
Like fela Anikulapo will say: "Na Animal talk be that o"! grin grin

It appears so many Nigerians are just too idiotic and naieve!
I understand some of them here on Nairaland are just kids with an internet service on their computer/phone! shocked shocked

Let me give a brief summary:

1.) Israel needs to dominate the middle east (all of them are Islamic/Arab countries).

2.) Israel alone cannot defeat all the Arab nations (those guys like to band together anyway), even if it can, it will be a very costly war.

3.) Israel, twisting America's arm (it has infiltrated all facets of America and can be said to control America), uses American weapon and military power to fight its own enemies. It goes as far as attacking America and leting America and the World think its the Arabs that did it (case in point is 9/11).

4.) One after the other, America has been demolishing Israel's Arab/Muslim enemies in the Middle East.

5.) The most stubborn were Iraq, Iran and Syria. They pitted Iraq against Iran (supplied Iraq with chemical weapons to fight Iran). When Iraq could not do the job, they attacked and destroyed Iraq itself, using 9/11 and WND as excuses.

6.) Now, Israel has Iran as its target but... to get Iran, you need to destroy Syria first and weaken smaller islamic entities like Hezbollah (Lebanon) and the Palestinians as well.

7.) The pretext is always "Democracy"! Israeli and American Agents (CIA) brings in money to sponsor dissent/anger in these countries (Go and read the story about the Shah of Iran and how America toppled a democratic Govt there, read about Allende of Chile too and so on). Every country has its own opposition who wants to be in power. Even America has the Republicans, now that Democrats are in power.

8.)Question is: Are you supposed to change a government by force? What would Obama do today, if another country gives "Money and Weapons" to the republicans and ask them to change the American elected Govt by force? Why are the "opposition in these islamic countries" always using the slightest excuse to carry weapons and fight their Govt? Even in Israel, there are oppositions but they are never encouraged to carry weapons and fight the elected government!

9.) The "grand plan" is to destroy these countries INTERNALLY (from inside) and make them too weak to challenge israel, ....if need be, without going into an open war! Its the "cheapest option".
We are not just blaming Israel just for the sake of it,... EVIDENCE points to Israel as the "Esau's hand" working behind the scene, in these conflicts.

10.) Why did Obama/America pronounce that Assad will be crossing the "red-line" if he uses Chemical weapons (and America would intervene using its military) in the early stages of this uprising, even when there was no need of such? What message would that have sent (is that sending) to the rebels?

11.) Why is it now that Assad is actually almost defeating the Rebels .... that he would not do something to invite America to intervene on behalf of the rebels? Even if it is you, will you be that stewpid?
Who will gain if America intervenes? (The rebels of course).
Point is, Assad does not need to use Chemical weapons to win this rebel fight, he has the "state armoury" at his disposal, he has better trained soldiers, he has everything going for him!

12.)The Rebels on the other hand, have been crying and begging for weapons for some months now.
The Rebels need the "game changer" very badly because they are losing ground rapidly.
We have seen videos of these rebels doing "evil things" that no civilized humanbeing must do.
We have seen videos of Rebel stockpiles of "crude chemical weapons" they manufactured with shipments from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
We have seen videos of the rebels "testing" these chemical weapons on smaller animals and saying this is how Assad and his supporters will die! Its there on the internet.

13.) We have seen evidence that America is and has been manipulating the U.N. ..; Exposed 'NSA reports' have shown how America intercepts and change communication between this international Agencies.
We have seen how even the U.N accepted and concluded that there was WMD in Iraq (only to confirm later there is NONE!). So, the U.N itself does the bidding of America and cannot be trusted and that is why Assad govt does not want them to investigate or trust their investigations.

14.) Bottom line: the Rebels will do anything to "force America to intervene on their behalf", including using Chemical weapons on their own people and blaming it on Assad.

15.) When America intervenes finally (just a matter of time and l know its only waiting for a legitimate, however stewpid excuse to do so. If it was a republican govt in power, they would have gone inside and toppled the govt of Assad long ago, those ones are simply war-mongers .... and Americas economy will keep going down anyway), when America intervenes finally, America will topple the Assad govt and put/install its own puppet there but like in Libya and Egypt, they will be "core Islamist terrorist" who would use the weapons America gave them, to attack America in the nearest future! grin grin

16.) After Assad govt is brought down and chaos reigns in Syria and it is weakened very well, then, America and Israel can now gang-up and FOCUS ON IRAN! Iran has always been the golden geese, the main target, the main prize!

That my friend is the ultimate goal: Weaken and destroy all opposition to Israel in the middle East, make Israel the unchallengeable, dominant power so that it can ride rough-shod over all those countries there.
Israel is afraid of its past, its apartheid and its stealing of Palestinian lands but it is too afraid, too selfish and too wicked to change its ways. It can only go forward and cant go back.

I am not a Muslim, l am not in support of dictatorship (which Assad and people like Mubarak are), l am not in favor of using force to change governments, l dont hate or dislike America or Israel, l dont like terrorist but l am smart enough to see through all these lies and deceit that is going on now.
I see the "BIG PICTURE'.
