dasparrow: It is very obvious that a woman out there dumped you hence your bitterness. Are all women materialistic? Have you met all the women in this world? I guess your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and all your female siblings and cousins are materialistic. That says a lot about the kind of family you are from.

Whose fault is it that you Nigerian-bred males have turned many of your women into money hungry ashawos? If you people don't offer these females money in exchange for their private parts, will they be chasing after you for money? Why are you not equally bitter with the male lecturers in Nigeria who threaten to fail their female students except they have sex with them? Why don't you blame your old pot-bellied politicians and rich men who have wives at home yet their insatiable appetite for sex makes them run around showering these university girls with money and expensive gifts in-exchange for their private parts?

The fact of the matter is, many of you Nigerian-bred men turned these young women into the money hungry human beings that they have become. So, don't complain.

At the bolded:
Its a very long story, on of "CALCULATED DECEIT AND DECEPTION BY THE BRITISH".
But let me just give a very, very short summary.

1.) The Southerners (Igbos and Yorubas, to represent the major tribes) are not very aggressive or war-mongering people.
2.) The Southerners are Christians and their religion, which preaches forgiveness, has a mellowing effect on their behaviour.
3.) The Northerners on the other hand are the exact opposite!, have less value for human life and their brand of islam encourages violence ..... and "peer domination".
4.) Their Religion and intent to dominate one another translates into their intolerance for education, freedom and enlightenment in general.
5.) The British colonial masters saw these and took advantage of it.
6.) While the Southerners were accepting-of western education, thirsty for knowledge and demanding of 'total freedom' from colonial rule, the North on the other hand just wanted to continue their traditional Islamic culture of feudalism (Rankahdede).!shocked shocked
7.) When the South was fighting the British for independence from colonialism, the Northern elites told the British they dont want nor need independence.
Strange as this may appear, the Northern elites were enjoying a lot of privileges under the British rule and since their rank-and-file does not believe in challenging the status-quo (ruling class), the Feudal Lords and elites in the North wanted it to remain like that forever.
This is one of the reasons they have the highest rate of illiteracy in Nigeria.
8.) The British, knowing that it is just a matter of time before they have to relinquish rulership of Nigeria, sat down to evaluate the situation and "hatched a master-plan".
9.) They went into an accord with the North, to continue ruling Nigeria INDIRECTLY, even after Independence. Since the north does not want Independence ab-initio, it was easy to "persuade" them to join the Army in droves so that they can use military power to dominate Nigeria and at the same time, serve the interest of the British.
10.) Nigeria, after Independence, was NOT SUPPOSED to be ruled by the military at al, at all. As a matter of fact, the "educated and intelligent people who are 'supposed' to rule and lead Nigeria, WILL NEVER ENROL in the Military!
The Niegrian military was supposed to only "fight wars" to protect the nations border... and you dont need much education, if any at all in those days, TO WIELD A GUN AND SHOOT A BULLET!
undecided

11.) Thus, Southerners who embraced EDUCATION both local and foreign, where Commissioners and Ministers while the Northerners who hardly go to school at all, were encouraged by the British on one hand, (and the unwillingness on the part of Southerners on the other hand), to flood the Nigerian Military.
The end result is that the Nigerian military was lopsided (in terms of personnel and hardware), in favor of the North

12.) The British also ensure before they gave us Independence, that ALL THE IMPORTANT MILITARY FORMATIONS and ARMS DEPOT, were located in the North. Thus both in manpower and military resources, the british ensured that the North will dominate Nigeria.
The Southerners meanwhile, naively thought that 'It will always be Democratic Government" that will hold sway in rulership ....well, until the first Military Coup! It is those "illiterate Mallams" that were "thrown" into the military, (for want of anything better than farming that they could do)... who later rose to the top echelon of our non-professional military, planned Coup and seized power (from Gowon, Buhari, IBB, Abdusallam, Abacha, e.t.c).

13.) It is this military lopsidedness that Awolowo took into account (which Ojukwu did not take into account), when he decided finally that it is not in our best interest to fight a war we are not prepared and empowered to win! Just look at what happened to Saddam Hussein, Muamar Ghadafi (just two examples) of Leaders who took their country's military and people into a war they are not prepared and capable of winning ...and you would understand the scenario.
So, you see, we did not allow them, fate and British selfishness cum wickedness created that situation for all of us.
This is how the "Born-to-Rule" mentality was entrenched.
^^^Zip it mate! Care to explain how one man (at the time, a Nigerian subject of the Queen like everyone else) could force Yorubas......drag them kicking and screaming by the scruff of the neck into 'this dirty marriage'? We all know Zik was a 'true Nigerian' and a nationalist, so you ain't telling us anything about him that we don't already know; even some of his kinsmen aren't happy with his idealist (some may say fantasist) notion of 'one Nigeria'!

But the question you should be asking yourself is why a two-faced, double-speaking tribalist like your god Awo was happy to spill blood and send his conscience and moral scruples on a long vacation holiday while he committed all kinds of unspeakable evil to sustain something he never believed in ab initio.......to sustain a lie......to sustain a mere geographical expression!

Ndigbo made it clear that they wanted out of this fake union, but your ilk -who haven't for one day questioned the actions of your god Awo- fought to keep them as 'fellow countrymen' against their will; now you throw a hissy-fit when you discover that all Ndigbo are not 100% saints like you had expected, and you plot all manner of underhand schemes to reduce their numbers in Lagos.....a city that you intentionally made the countrys sole economic hub!

@Post: Isn't this an old story from last year? Don't tell me Fashola has done the same thing again! undecided
I dont know how old you are but even if you are underage (at least yo have access to the internet and you can type!), you should try and "READ-UP" on your history, instead of asking questions that make you appear silly.

I will summarize it for you but l expect you to go back to your Library and CONFIRM whatever l have written:

1.) The Biafran war was initially between the Igbos (Easterners) and the Hausa/Fulani (Northerners). Igbos were killed in the North, there was Reprisals in the East just like Igbo Military guys killed Northern Military elites and Northerners retaliated... and so on. SO, Igbos wanted "out"

2.) At this stage, the Westerners have NOTHING to do with the war. Igbos tried to "DRAG US" into it, by asking for our support, to join them to fight the Northerners. It was coyed in form of a "We will declare secession and we want you to do the same, when we do ours". The reasoning was that the Northerners cannot afford to fight the war on two fronts.

3.) The Westerners, characteristically take "good stock" before engaging in any action (Read Wole Soyinka's quote about "Bravery not being in reckless actions and words".) They gave it a "second thought" and realized they were NOT PREPARED to FIGHT AND WIN A WAR RIGHT NOW.

4.) While the Yorubas were still bidding for time to "get prepared for a war" (Weapons and Logistics), the Igbos, in their Characteristic manner of boating, reckless bravado and self-over-exaggeration of ability, as a result of their inability to "critically self-examine" (something they termed as cowardice in Westerners/Yoruba) SIMPLY DECLARED SECESSION and that marks the beginning of the BIAFRAN WAR! They never consulted and sought approval of the Yorubas whom they expect to CO-OPT into WAR!

Now, How this is the problem of Yorubas or how we caused them to Declare secession, is still a mystery.

5.) The war has been on for over 15months and the Westerners/Yorubas simply stood aside. Some Yorubas (like Col. Banjo, Wole Soyinka even gave "tacit support" to the Igbo cause because we sympathize with their victimisation (rightly or wrongly), in the North.

6.) Odumegwu Ojukwu, who as a personification of the Igbo war, wisdom and cause .... at one point felt he MUST FORCE THE YORUBAS into the war. We made him understand that "we feel we cannot win the war as we were NOT PREPARED FOR THE WAR. The mallams have control of all the important Garrisons, the armoured battalions even in Ibadan!
Only a stupid man goes to war expecting his enemy to make things easy for him or provide him with weapons and support.

7.) As balanced as the war was at this point, Ojukwu, in his "infantile wisdom" was still adamant on forcing the hand of the Westerners into the war.
OJUKWU HENCE DEVISED A STEWPID AND CLANDESTINE MOVE: HE STARTED ATTACKING THE WESTERN REGION!
He crossed the Onitsha bridge and started waging war Southwards! He ransacked the Mid West (Benin and Delta regions), he looted, burned the remains and took our women hostage, raping and generally sowing mayhem.

8.) Awo sent message to him requesting that OJUKWU SHOULD DIRECT HIS WAR EFFORT NORTHWARDS as we will like to remain NEUTRAL. Ojukwu will hear nothing of this.

9.) AWOLOWO was using "WISDOM" while OJUKWU was using "RECKLESSNESS and BRAWN".
One after another, Ojukwu ransacked Western Cities, Edo fell, Akure, Ondo town fell (undefended) until He got to Oore.
This is when Awolowo reasoned that you cannot be attacking and killing my people, while you say we are friends.
NOTE: Yorubas NEVER ATTACKED IGBOS.

During the war up to this point, those who chose to remain in Lagos, were still well protected by their Lagos Host (infact, Lagos was a Federal capital so we considered them "one of us".)

10.) When Ojukwu will not listen to reason, and as typical of most Igbo (and you can see the same herd mentality over here), none of his brethrens were willing to tell him the truth; They chose to bury their heads in the sand.

Awolowo was finally rumbled and roused from his patience and in a SINGLE DISPLAY of MASTERLY STROKE, he brought the Biafran Shenanigan to a HALT IN OORE!

Now, what would the average Igbo leader or person do (let us be honest to ourselves for once, we are still brothers), if your so-called friend is attacking you, killing your people and setting your house on fire, when you have done him no wrong?
We did not wrong the Igbo, they attacked us, just to force us into a war we never wanted to be a part of.

This is the part of "the War History" that Igbo fathers and grand fathers have refused to tell their children.
They have tried to justify their stewpidty and treachery while blaming their fool-hardiness and consequent loss of the war on Yorubas.
For christ sake, its a war, a 3year war we are talking about! In war, ALL IS FAIR!! Thats why its called a W-A-R-R-R wink

So, if you must insult Awolowo for the action he took, you must also acknowledge his patience and reluctance to engage in war while at the same time, you have to salute his acumen and tactical approach at ending a war that had dragged on for over two years, in less than six months.
That is the stuff Yorubas are made-of!
No Gra-Gra, No mouthing, No chest-beating, No self-delusion, No grand-standing, ....Just meticulous planning and precise execution.

Ojukwu and his military tacticians should have known better than to start a war they cant finish, expecting to force an ally's hand into war, wasting the lives of over two million Igbos in what essentially was a show of Gra-Gra ..and attacking the WEST! (Bad Move)

BTW: The only reason l have gone to great lengths to expose and espouse this here is so that ignorant ones amongst you, whose parents lied to them about how they were almost conquering the whole world grin , ....can try and read-up their history, direct their anger/energy in the right direction and dont make the same mistake again.

Also, remember that Fashola did NOT DEPORT ALL or ORDINARY IGBOS from Lagos, the minuscule quantity he deported (if true) are those who can be considered "Nuisance". No work, No Home, No education, No visible means of sustenance!

I salute my Igbo Brothers! kiss kiss

PointB: And IGBOS (non-indigenes) should not vote ACN/APC in Lagos in 2015, this sort of bad behavior and tribalism should never be rewarded
Eze Promoe: More reasons why GEJ should remain president till 2019, these people are trying too hard to garner support from SE/SS.
Personally, i won't vote my favourite candidate, Ngige, if he bears that devil's flag, APC.
Bunch of embittered sadists.
Iwhere d'ome ekwensu!

You people always allow "Emotions and unbridled anger" to becloud your sense of good judgement.
That was one of the genesis of that "failed project" called Biafra!
Here you go again, what?
Let me break it down for you.

Assume ALL the IGBOS in lagos refuse to vote for say APC ...(forgetting that it is still the same Yorubas that they will vote for, as Governor, whether in PDP or any other party! wink wink ) ......and you voted for the "opposition", to prove your point above.

Now, how many are you in Lagos, numerically? Can you ever be more than the number of Yorubas in Lagos?
So, either way, in Lagos, if YORUBAs want it like that, (if and only iff), APC will still win.

Thus, once again, your "Protest Vote" will not only be meaningless, you will also become marginalized .... and the Yoruba Government in power might just close down all those "market places" for just three months! grin grin

Meaning we will have to deport all of you (especially YOU! tongue ), for being a destitute and jobless fella in Lagos!

I'll borrow you a leaf (as a Yoruba person in the mold of Prof. Wole Soyinka's thinking wink ): Support this policy to get rid of all the "destitutes" back to the East.

The advantages are many but l will just mention two.

1.) The available resources in lagos will better go round and you will have a better standard of living in Lagos.
2.) Those destitutes might just say "enough is enough" and give your thieving Governors a real fight ...and may be the Governors might just start doing what is right and working for your people, developing your land.

Imagine if 90% of Yorubas deserted Lagos and go 'developing' Anambara or Enugu?
Imagine if Fashola did not do anything in Lagos and we have no road network? How will you be able to trade here?

Biiko'nu, stop chasing shadows, we are still brothers.

Onlytruth: The fact remains that if Lagos state is tired of the Nigerian project, it should go ahead and secede today.
What Lagos is doing is CRIMINAL VIOLATION of Nigerian citizens CONSTITUTIONAL rights.

When Igbo got tired of Nigeria in 1967, we sacrificed 2 million of our people to try to secede. To me that is a demonstration of seriousness and bravery.

This cowardly backdoor secession won't work.

We Ndigbo really should hold the IG accountable because it seems that the IG is constantly making NIGERIAN POLICE men available for these types of open violation of the Nigerian constitution.

Our governors should hold Jonathan's feet to fire over the IG's indirect support for discrimination against innocent Nigerians by cowards who can't speak directly.
I think it was Prof. Wole Soyinka that said and l quote:
"Bravery is not encountered in the recklessness of utterance or of action, but in a methodical assessment of any situation where, even if the odds appear to be against one, and the risks seem overwhelming, a choice is still made that embraces the inherent dangers in the pursuit of that reasoned objective". ... Wole Soyinka, 2006.

That the Igbo "sacrificed" 2-million of their sons just to prove they are BRAVE and SERIOUS can only be judged when we ask them: ..And what was the result? What did you achieve at the end?
Only a foolish lot can boast of sacrificing 2,000,000 foolish lives, just for NOTHING!
Intelligent people THINK FIRST, before ACTING

Even Ojukwu took to his heels and ran to Ivory Coast, leaving another 500,000 "sacrificial lambs" to their fate! huh huh

Unfortunately (and l've always said this), Yorubas are to intelligent and full of wisdom, not to be able to distinguish between what Prof Soyinka called "recklessness of action and utterance" on one hand, and "methodical assessment of the situation" on the other hand.

Every Igbo must make that Quote of Prof. Wole Soyinka, his "Daily Manna and daily Bible study".

As much as l would preach Unity and respect for fellow Brothers, from any part of the country, if every state wants to do what Fashola has done, then so be it.

Just ensure that it is the JOBLESS "foreign" DESTITUTES who contribute Nadda to your state,... that are deported back to Lagos.
Dont turn it to a witch-hunting exercise because again, using wisdom, you will realize that "Lagos has so much more "foreigners" to witch-hunt, if that game is to be played-out.

Instead of beefing Lagos, hold your Governors accountable.
*Is it Fashola' problem (or Lagos State) that 90% of the Roads in the East are not motorable? Please lets just be honest for once.
Fashola rehabilitated a few roads in Lagos (Herbert macaulay, Muritala Muhammed, LUTH area, Ojuelegba, e.t.c).
He is currently working on Ikorodu axis, Badagry Axis, even fed Govt road at Oshodi/Mile 2 axis

Where are the roads that Governors from the East rehabilitated ...or dont they also collect their own allocation and taxes?
Dont give me that "historical bull-shyte excuse about how Lagos was developed in the 60's".
From Jakande (except Thief-nubu) to Fashola, Lagos has been blessed with Yoruba Governors who "stole MUCH but developed the state a LITTLE.

The rest of Nigeria (especially Eastern states) have been blessed with "Criminal-Governors" who stole MUCH but developed Nothing. That is why the East is becoming uninhabitable for Igbos!
Thus, everybody is trooping to Lagos!

But what are you going to do about your Governors who loot your patrimony and use it to buy houses abroad, Private Jets (Even fashola, as rich as Lagos is must not dream of Private jet! Walahi, he go see red!) and send their numerous Girl friends on shopping spree.
Direct your "righteous anger" at your real enemy!
Stop chasing 'Ringworm', while your head is infested with 'Leprosy'! (Yoruba adage)

But you are ALL welcome to Lagos ... if you can get something productive to do! .... just like millions of Igbo doing business and making money at Aspamda, Ojoo, Alaba, Idumota, Ladipo, Sanya, Orile, Oshodi, e.t.c

Dont come to Lagos to become Ritualist, Armed Robbers, Kidnappers, petty thief or just a nuisance and burden to Lagosians.

This is a no-brainer, Its not about constitution, not even about 'reckless bravado', its about common-sense.
Use Wisdom please.

Funny enough, a killer is now having prospects of ruling Nigeria simply because Nigeria is bereft of credible leaders coupled with the gullibility of the masses who are divided along ethno-religious lines.I'm not surprised at all,Omisore killed Bola Ige and ended up in senate after being elected while in Prison.

With the indication so far that Al-mustapha may contest for the president,I pray he does that under the PDP and gives Jonathan a run for his popularity in the North and south or better still, he may substitute Sambo as vice president. I just hope he's not considering running under Fasheu's UPN else it won't work in the SW.

On the whole,he may end up instigating the khaki boys in case of crisis after the 2015 election. Who knows what his revolution speech is all about ?
It is only in Nigeria, this sort of farce can happen.
Honestly, l think this country is completely Up-side, DOWN!

*USA predicted that Nigeria will COLLAPSE by 2015.
Well, l was one of those who labeled them "haters" but unfolding events since then has pointed (unfortunately) in that direction.

*Seeing the way "unheard-of things" (at least not at the same level!) are happening in Nigeria now (Kidnaping, Daily Robbery, Bombings, Cult-killings, Political assassinations, e.t.c.), I once wondered three years ago, whether Somalia would not be "childs-play", compared to what Nigeria would become in about seven years time (2017)?

Well, events keep unfolding and each time, its in that same direction: FAILED STATE!

But then, l keep saying that we cannot heap ALL the blame on our inept leaders.
*We the people, the followers are such puerile and gullible lot!
*We dont hold our leaders to account
*We are so impoverished that a "few crumbs" falling off their table is all we need to roll-over on the floor for them
*We sell our future for a plate of porrigde, so to say
*Instead of fighting for "structures", which will in-turn improve our life and our future, we only ask for "instant gratification" in form of Bag of Rice or a few naira notes.*
*We lack any shred of dignity and as such, those in power treat us with disgust and set us against one another.

So, no surprise that we hear "Al Mustapha for President", l guess he is the "best we have on offer"

Suffer-Head just dey start for dis our obodo Kontiri! angry angry wink wink

topazjosh: this is not about labour party bro, afteral we have other labour party senator there,is about personality.
I think Dayo is right there.
If it is not that his party supports his position on such an important issue, then the party has the right and duty to recall him.
The people that voted-in that party have "expectations" from such party, .. as per their campaign manifesto.
If that expectation is not being met (as in this case of "selective amnesia by that Sin-a-tor", then its either the party recalls him ..or the voters "teach the party a lesson" in the next election, by voting them out.

I read that a similar thing happened in Ireland recently, when a Vote was being taken on the Abortion Bill.
Some party members voted against the "position of their party" ... and the party immediately EXPELLED THEM! (and the party nominated position they held were lost as well).

But in Nigeria, we are too constrained by primordial issues like "Tribal affiliations, language, Civil war experience, e.t.c" to properly articulate our desires and hold the elected officials to account.

BTW: I hope he does not vote in favor of selling Nigeria to Cameroon, one day .... and come back to tell us he did not know what he was doing! shocked shocked shocked

Hezron Lorraine: Another funny thing is most Nigerians are hypocrites.when this same Senate passed the Same-sex marriage Prohibition bill, everyone was rejoicing praising that odious act, they all pointed fingers at gay people forgetting the remaining fingers goes back at them. Now they are haunted back their high moral mindedness, then we all remember to call the foul.
Yea, so you want to put "Child marriage" on the same pedestal as Homosexuality or Bestiality? huh huh
Dont even try.
That same-sex Prohibition Bill is the ONLY sensible thing ot have come out of thta senseless House, for a long time.

As for "Back-fuckers" like you, try a new trick.
Pointing fingers kooo, Pointing toes niii.

BTW: Homosexuality has always been, since the days of Abraham. No one has ever stopped them from digging their back-sides, within the confines of their room ...but to LEGITIMIZE IT and let them try to force-feed it on our innocent and impressionable children during school lectures, is CRIMINAL and will never happen in Nigeria.
Go and check what is happening in Europe and U.S now.
Now, the "Eediot-gays" want to start adopting children given birth to, by NORMAL COUPLES!

chimerase2: Ondo Senator Apologises For Voting In Support Of Child Marriage Bill

He emphasised that as a true Yoruba man, he wouldn’t have intentionally voted in support of child marriage.

He said there is still hope in correcting the situation as the bill will still be passed at the House of Representatives and the States Houses of Assembly.
No Pal, YOU ARE NOT A TRUE YORUBA MAN! angry angry

*"True Yoruba men" have a deep sense of self-respect.
*They dont act before they think (that is for Eediots like you)
*They ALWAYS stand by their actions (Not like a flip-flopper like your disgraceful self)
*True Yoruba men dont support evil, like you did ...
...(ofcourse, we know that MONEY changed hands and you sold your soul to the devil)
*After all said and done, A TRUE YORUBA MAN will stand up for his actions, defend it and die by it.

If you still think you have any shred of "YORUBA" in your veins, .. (as opposed to an "Omo'ale" which you appear to be)..
...YOU WILL RESIGN AND VACATE YOUR SENATORIAL POSITION as a sign of remorse for your disgrace to your family name.!

But l guess the criminal "omo'ale" in you will not even allow you to do the honorable thing which a "True Yoruba man" would have done.

You, Dr. Mr. AYO AKINYELURE, is a disgrace to the Western Nigeria, a DISGRACE to the proud people of ONDO STATE and an eternal disgrace to your family name, AKINYELURE!
We disown you completely.

whirlout: What has this god damn country turn into. So our so called lawmakers are making statutory rape legal while other countries are pushing against and implementing statutes to get rid of it. Goodluck, u can even voice concern about this despicable law. SMH, I feel sorry for those little girls who are going to be the victims in this case and are going to be consistently raped against their will. What does a 12 or 13 year old know about being a wife. Sounds like legalized slavery to me all over again, worst is that it is amongst our own people. When the civilized nations call us animals, we take offense to it but how is this not an animal act. God help us. It seems like we are just going backwards and backwards in spite of the efforts of other civilized citizens to move us forward. We are one cursed country
Thank you very much!

These peodophiles tell us that "the little girl must give her consent"!
Tell me, what does a girl of six years or 9-years know about giving consent ot be ra.ped by a 30yr old adult?
When children are "young", it is the duty of their parent to act on their behalf and PROTECT THEM.... Not to give them away to Peodophilic and randy Yerima Sanni (A Nigerian Senator? I am now really ashamed to be associated with that country)

Sex is for ADULTS.
By the constitution, the age of adulthood is 16yrs or 18yrs.
ANYONE that engages in sexual conduct with ANYONE under that age of adulthood (be it by arrange or religious marriage) IS A RAP.IST and a PEODOPHILE ....Just like Sin-nator YERIMA SANNI!

It is even more shocking that THE PRESIDENT has KEPT QUIET on this matter!
More worrying is that his WIFE, Madam DAME JONATHAN, who has been "loud and visible" on issues that should not concern her ...IS ALSO QUIET, LIKE HER HUSBAND.

This is where l expect women (who were formerly little girls) to come out strongly and fight tooth and nail to save our daughters.

Why do those in "power" continually bring shame to these country? Its either they are fighting on the Senate floor, getting arrested overseas for money laundering, involvement in diabolical occultism, e.t.c
What manner of ANIMALS do we have in Nigerian SENATE HOUSE?

LIFE IMPRISONMENT OR DEATH PENALTY FOR ALL PEODOPHILES. Shikenna.

Whether she (Aisha) was Six ...Seven....Nine or Ten IS NOT AN EXCUSE for Peodophilia, by the Prophet Muhammed.

All this long story further confirms what the victim said.

But that was thousand years ago!

Why should we still have a Prophet Muhammed in Senator Yerima and all those stewpid Senators who voted on this .... in 2013?

In my own point of view, l think we should consider stoning these Senators, if we voted then in (or they rigged themselves) ... only to end up doing things that are against our wish.
