mufutau55:Hajj, l understand where you are coming from. My Observations: I think one of the things we can do, for starters, is to insist on a "ground rule" that "third parties" should not INTERFERE, ADD FUEL/SUPPORT or show any form of ENCOURAGEMENT , when two people are having a spat. (I think it is impossible to completely avoid such spats, bearing in mind that we are all different individuals and decorum level will surely defer). I am of the opinion that it is the "third parties" that actually push for more blood! I know some do it intentionally because they want to, and see it as an opportunity to insult someone they have been nursing a grudge against, thus using the other person to do their "dirty work" Some are so borderline-evil that the fact that l engage in a decent conversation with Egun (we had a spat in the past ....but that is the past), makes them very uneasy and angry! Why should that be? Should we not all be interested in people who have disagreements, to "make-up" so that we can all enjoy the thread and benefit from its original purpose of "building learning"? Those are things that use to happen when we were in primary school now? Do you remember the song: Esu ta'posi, ki'wo leja, ki'emi le'woran ... Esu ta'posi! ![]() Thanks for your patience all this while. Lastpage! |
n3xt:Thank you Brab, Compliments observed with all humility. Like it said by our elders, "You can only give what you have"...... "An apple does not fall far from its Tree"! All you need do is "read and observe" the behaviour on this thread. I understand provocation or anger (which we are all subject to, once in a while) but what l dont understand is this wanton desire to just be garrulous and uncouth, ......while instigating discord amongst other members! ![]() Anyway, such is life...... its the "free" internet!Lastpage! I wanted to ask but forgot: Was a Soil test done on that building that you showcased, along with that one with a floating raft? I love the way you did the Floating raft such that Water can move freely under the Rafts, if need-be.... within the four walls the room-foundation (unlike what l have seen before where if water gets in there, it will be stuck there until it evaporates or sink into the ground, of its own accord). Please ALWAYS INSIST on a Soil test, for anything more than a Bungalow. I know "we Clients" want to "economise" but when the wahala starts, the Builder gets the blame. ![]() Be "circumspect" in what you reply to, some questions are actually intended to 'draw you out', so "sharks" can come home to feast, ....figuratively speaking. ![]() |
henrysam:The only thing which our Senators are very good at, is using the threat of IMPEACHMENT to arm-twist a sitting President. They were "rigged-in" to make laws for the betterment of Nigerians but who-sai? All they do is plot evil, take bribes and loot as soon as they see an opportunity. Its either we want IMMUNITY too, so we can commit attrocities unchecked, they increase their own salaries or just anything to serve their selfish interest. We dont need these "Association of useless Criminals" anymore, because they contribute NOTHING POSITIVE to the life of Nigerians. Lastpage! |
Trapnews:Everything you wrote deserve a standing ovation except for the bolded part. 1000 claps! We are not here by chance....... we are destined to be here. NOTHING happens by "chance" because even chance itself is a victim of circumstances, history, effort and opportunity. Lastpage! |
HungerBAD:No rbe only Ambode sef! See that short, round woman in the picture! Even some of the men dea don dey "grow bwreast" ....in broad day light! It seems we Nigerians ar generally "exercise-averse, eat too much and eat the wrong type of foods! Too much Odeku and PeperSoup with Goat meat combined...... to as late as 11pm! ![]() Lastpage! |
Modsenemy:"All' cant be lies! Let us show a little appreciation to those who lay down their own life, so that me and you can have the peace and freedom to even log-on to Niaraland! Just imagine if you are in the midst of that attack by the insurgents terrorists ..... and no Soldier to come to your aid? The little we can do is to encourage them and lift their morale. Lastpage! |
AjayiWrites:she for kuku remove the Top she is wearing sef, make we kuku know say she wan "sell market!" ![]() Anyway, na wetin Mama sell remain, pikin carry dey hawk! I just dont know or understand why some women think they are not beautiful enough, ........ until they expose their unclothedness! Lastpage! |
I was reading an alternative energy thread and saw the following dialogue. I cant remember if we have discussed integrated energy solutions in our builds, on this thread but l also agree that it is cheaper if one can plan it during the construction stage. For example, *you can decide from the onset, if you need a safe store room to store your batteries, *the Shape of your roof or if yo are using a Flat roof, where it would face (since Solar "charging efficiency" is also affected by the positioning angle of the Panels, to the sun otherwise, you might just be in the "shadow" of the sun, for most part of the day! ), *to have a separate (dual) wiring system or a "switch-over" system that uses the same wiring and many more considerations, *wire your home for energy efficiency appliances, e.t.c So, it is worth the while, if we discuss issues around this. Like l said, l saw the dialogue below on another thread of the similar purpose and what the "expert" said, got me concerned EgunMogaji: I'll be doing a full standalone system for a 2 bedroom apartment.RESPONSE Charpell:Firstly, batteries are NOT ALWAYS SAFE! Batteries are known to explode and even catch fire! Even common "Phone batteries" have caught fire right in people's pocket! ![]() Batteries contain "chemicals", some of which are corrosive (acidic) and some of which can be very explosive when they generate other gases in their process of reaction. Batteries generate (or re-generate) energy through a process of chemical reaction in which various gases are produced. These gases are not meant to be inhaled and could be very dangerous if inhaled. Such gases are produced as the battery charges and discharges. The accumulation of such gas can lead to an explosion of the battery if it does not find a way to vent, hence, batteries are produced with "vents" to allow such gas to leave the battery. When installed INSIDE the house, such gases are vented into the house and being a "closed environment", humans inhabiting such house will then breath-in such gases, which will affect their lungs especially and other body organs, reduce the amount of oxygen in circulation within the enclosed house and cause even further organ damage, amongst other ailments. If not allow to properly vent such gases, the battery will build-up pressure and explode, pouring its acid-contents on the occupants and environment. This can be dangerous and the potential for a fire starting is also very high. if possible, there should be a minimum distance between human occupied rooms and where battery are stored, despite being ventilated. In light of the above, l will suggest that we incorporate a "battery bank" room/store in our build, right from the architectural design stage, bearing in mind that the further away the battery (ies) are, from the source of energy (Solar Panels), relative to the distribution Board, the longer the length of Cables that will be needed to convey the generated energy, to the battery and equipments using it. This has grave implication for us in terms of COST because aside the increased cost of wiring, there is also the cost associated with "energy loss" in electrical cables (resistance) such that we may be losing a large proportion of the energy we spent money to generate (from our energy source like Solar Panels) in form of heat, as it travels through the lengthy Cables. We need to strike a balance between "safety" and "cost" when chosing a location to store the batteries. There is where adequate planning at the design/building stage of our houses/builds become important Lastpage! |
madridguy:He is a Traditional Chief, for crying out aloud! When they asked him for a solution to "save his people"... he CHICKENED-OUT and started to mumble like a toddler. A man's greatest enemy shall be members of his household" Hmm... 'Dilector' loading... ![]() Lastpage! |
3strikes:So you want to do a "Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage combined", on your side-kick, huh? I know you ain't going no-where. ![]() Omode o'debi eru, ....lo'nni ko'seru. Always finish whatever you start. Sugoomu-suppo. Go and treat ya father wey get Alzheimer. Oya, carry-on. Lastpage! |
3strikes:Look at these BABY-CLOWNS! ![]() You should be able to do better than this now? Upon all the l dey U.K wey una dey form! Sweeping streets at 4am in the morning fro a U.K Boroughs does not any of you Britico, hope u know. ![]() Anyway, when you grow up proper, you can come and face me substantially. Awon omo rederede. Its is obvious both of you are just "starters", no wonder your first build was such a headache for the whole of Nairaland. ![]() I am sure when yo get to the fourth, fifth house, you wont be this stewpid not to know how to do "due diligence" on any Contractor you give your work to! Some of you have stay-tuned since 2005...... until you lost reception! ![]() Give me "something substantial" to chew on...... then l will know l am dealing with Boyz who gat Balls.......... not cry-cry babies. Lastly, "fluent grammar and impeccable structure of words" dont just come from the sky! It is a product of sound, all-round education, proper upbringing and all-round experience of life. So dont be envious! ![]() Maybe you will get there one day, if you behave yourselves. My own kids, at such early age, are already getting there. You know, "Like begets Like" as is often said. ![]() Lastpage! BTW: I never said I was THE ONLY ONE who begged on your behalf, to get you arefund when you want to die on our neck here (and there is no "glory-taking" from that because it was the right thing to do ; and l will do it for/to anyone).... but the facts are there on this thread for any one to refer to, that l was ONE of the very VOCAL few that insisted on Brabus refunding you. Its very funny when you see people who can do jerk, start developing some fake, online courage all of a sudden . ![]() I hope you also remembered that some gentleman on this thread (whom you contacted), also contacted me "privately" on your behalf, to help you get things organised if Brabus refused to pay you? Go back and read those posts properly, if still in doubt. Just dont bark up the wrong tree........ this @Lastpage forgives easily but can teach some sense into silly babies as well. ![]() Its part of my 'daily routine' to detail risky people and teach them lessons, if need be. Just dont be the unfortunate person, because you wont even know what hit you or where it is coming from. Hobnobbing in the U.K does not confer immunity..... ask Kanu if in doubt. |
mufutau55:Hajji M, I know you were joking but its not impossible now. You have sown much more goodwill than that. Lastpage! |
3strikes:Well, l nor vex! if only people like you will pay attention to what affects them and stop worrying over what other people do for a living, maybe we would have less of all these failed projects and have less 'fence-mending" to do. You know, l dont like Contractors that dont deliver on a job as much as l detest Clients who are inept, foolish and waste their energy on others instead of channelling it into their builds! ![]() Its a shame that we could have 3strikes of thunder in the same place yet the owners are not sensible enough to install an Arrestor ![]() I wont be asking any Contractor to refund any Client who is silly enough not to engage a consultant to watch over their job, if they are to busy, doing busy-body, to watch over it themselves. "Aproko" nor be work! ![]() Lastpage! |
3strikes:You Sir, are on a very Loooong thing, if you think l am your usual run-of-the-mill wannabe that you can run around. You probably know by now that l dont suffer fools. ![]() You started it, you will get it in full, pushed down and even over-flowing. Bring it on, l say. ![]() Lastpage! PS: I dont look for trouble but l am very much at home with people who cant mind their business. |
erico2k2:We agree to disagree. Lastpage! |
3strikes:You have actually said a lot in your usual coyish manner! ![]() As for respect, you dont even know me, you have never met me.... so where is this "fake, some respect" ......coming from? If you want to discuss issues with me (or even if you want to trade insults), l am here Kampe, as baba Iyabo will say. Anyway, na 'some' respect you call am... which does not exist in my own dictionary. Finally, nobody forced any of you to give your projects to Brabus, some where looking for cheap Contractor, some did not want to employ a Consultant, to oversee what their main Contractor was doing (when they themselves cant) because they want to play "Ijebu" with money, some where just "simply stewpid" as we have seen over and over on this thread, creating room for mishaps, e.t.c. If and when l decide to give my projects to Brabus, he wont even know he is working for @Lastage but be assured that l will cross all my t's and dot all my i's ......... and l am sure you've NEVER read anywhere, where l came to Nairaland, to lament over one Contractor! No one is competent enough here, to teach me when or who to give out jobs to; I usually do my own home work. Please, put some "dignity" into your response, if you will. I am who , l a am. That's fair enough Lastpage! |
erico2k2:I said Calais/Dover was the weakest link to get into the U.K. hiding under Trucks, inside whatever is available. If you notice, most of the people doing this are not Nigerians but mostly of Middle East/Arab origins and some East/North Africans who went through that desert route. ![]() If they could enter the U.K through say Belfast, do you think they would be holed out in No man's land? That is what l mean by "weakest link". Lastpage! |
mavverick:Stop acting like a silly kid! The way some of you reason, leaves much to be desired! Once someone is not buying your #wailing, they must be supporting Brabus, right? Its either "our way" or the highway, right By now you should know that it is adults, people with far better 'real life experience" than you, that take a position and stick with it based on their own principle. When you were here crying because of 400K, begging us to put pressure on Brabus ( and l was one of the very vocal who did), you did not write such asinine rubbish...... but after you have collected a lot of the repayment, you have suddenly regained your mojo, abi? Go-on, bite the finger that fed you, you will soon catch fire again. ![]() Everyone is FREE to take a position on issues, as long as they are convinced of what they are doing. I dont run with the crowds.... more so, some faceless, immature crowd that flip-flop like UKIP leader. Each man to his own. I dont hide my soft spot for Brabus from anyone and l stand by it, even if a million N/Landers are against him. It is because l still find certain things in him, worthy of my attention though like l have said a million times, he has to be more open, discerning and trustworthy. he did not take my money nor has he done anything bad for/to me personally, so my anger with him cannot be to wish him and his family dead or for me to be crying more than the bereaved..........as some of you want. You that you cant even face Brabus "one-on-One", now has mouth to run at me, abi? Irannu-rederede! Kontinue, you hear. Lastpage! |
ottersberger:I dont like quoting full write-Ups but l can afford not to, on this one! Germans have a high, working mental attitude and an eye for "efficiency" but they are miserly with money! ![]() The bolded parts will soon come to pass. But l am still very sure that the U.K will find a way, a loop hole, to give themselves a "soft-landing" to go back into the E.U. ![]() Mark my words, all this gra-gra wey dem dey form nor reach anywhere. ![]() I know what l am hearing from people in the know. Lastpage! BTW: We will discuss the Greece/PIGS issue one of these days. |
3strikes:E be like say you get comprehension problem. Go back and read what l wrote; I did not say "ANYONE"... it was a statement directed at a specific person. I said dont quote me in your spats.... and that has been understood plainly and settled .............only that l dont understand why you are raising that issue up again? Which one be your own or Brexit dey worry you nii? I have said it long ago before now, Hypocrisy is not my thing as is usual on this thread. I am ready to chat generally on matters of interest but wont do "gang-ups" when two people are having a-go at each other because l am capable on my own. Dont start, my 10hrs break is over. Anyway, na "return-play" levels l dey with you sha. if you need more Crayon, let me know ![]() Lastpage! |
3strikes:Will you be kind enough to provide evidence of the above statement you made? ..or is it just the usual mud-slinging? I asked because l see Brabus showcasing "new jobs" he is doing at the moment...... and l am wondering how he will be acclaimed to be so broke as you assert! I am for fair-play in all dealings. Lastpage! |
allCopacetic:Cheesux Christ! Pinshures ...............or Adonbelevit ![]() Lastpage!

mavverick:This is the kind of 'scare-mongering" MIS-INFORMATION they feed you with, to make you vote in a certain way! Just for the records, every E.U country PAYS child benefit at their local rate. That is, whether you are British or a citizen of any other E.U country, you will get he exact same rate that the "native citizens" of that E.U country get. Please, the Referendum is over, dont spread unfounded rumours! ![]() I have walked the walk, so l know what l am saying. A failure of the "system' to tackle corruption, cannot be visited on the people. Lastpage! |
erico2k2:\ Those cars are also manufactured, in even larger numbers in Germany than in the U.K! German version of the Vauxhall is called Opel Astra. Germany manufacture left hand Drives (as opposed to .U.K that does right hand drives) and it is used in the majority of the world, including U.S, Europe, Nigeria, e.t.c. As for the border, it is just the "weakest link" to get into the E.U. It tells no other story I am sure you know that that "Calais/Dover" border cant be worse than what we have in the "Greece/Turkey" border. Lastpage! |
mavverick:Like we say, "There was once a Super Power"! It is self-defeating to leave on past glory! U.K knew it is leaving on past glory that is why it ALWAYS pander to whatever war U.S wants to instigate so that, maybe, it can play the "attache game" so that other countries will still fear it. ![]() All the same, l just hope Teresa May knows that E.U holds the Trump cards now, there will be NO -Negotiation of any sorts, until the U.K is finally and completely out of the E.U. At that point, E.U will only accept to negotiate what it wants, on its own terms. Dont forget, the E.U still has the large market of 27 countries under it's belt ![]() Who will the U.K run to, when their bluff is called out? Lastpage! |
mavverick:You see, when you blame every silly thing on Brabus, you are actually doing your cause a disfavour! You portray your cause as #WAILING, the way some people blame Buhari for everything imaginable and call it #Witch-hunting! How on earth does Brabus manage to get the two at each others throat, just so he can make a comeback? Dont trivialise serious issues pleaze. Lastpage! |
erico2k2:The bolded is the FUNNIEST statement l've heard this year! ![]() With over 3million signatures for a re-vote within the U.K, with thousands of U.K Lawyers also submitting a petition to annul the Vote, you are still putting the above forward? So all these are not English and bad losers? ![]() Since YOU are not protesting it, l take it that YOU are "English", right? Even more English than me, right? Osanobua! ![]() Issokay o, dearis god! ![]() Ewo lo'kan mi mbe? ![]() Lastpage! BTW: It will be the greatest mistake of the century, to allow Turkey to join the E.U. Turkey has NOTHING in common with Europeans, especially with its rabid, tErrorist-supporting leader, Edowan. It will NEVER happen because l dont see then fulfilling all the 72 conditions they were given as a condition to join the E.U. ![]() |
n3xt:I agree, l think it will be good for the Hallways or where you have long, vacant walls like a Veranda. But then, it also depends on the colour-combination you use and if the pattern suits. I think it can be made "nice", with the right artistic vision. Lastpage! PS: How far with that Window Burglary Latch program, any success on the oneyou were working on? |
EgunMogaji:IMO, l think as a first step, the amount of guns in circulation needs to be reduced. If everyone in Nigeria is allowed to carry a gun, l think many people would have been dead by now..... just because of minor arguments. How is it that even someone on a "No Fly List" is able to buy a gun, How come? But l understand that the IRA and the Repubs wont ever allow any constraint on gun ownership. BTW: That GIULIANI reminds me of "Dick Chenney" ! I hope he does not become trumps V.P nominee. Lastpage! |
erico2k2:I dont think you got the gist of my post at all? Let me summarise: Everything the U.K gives other E.U citizens, or does for the E.U or E.U laws it obeys, or BENEFITS its citizens or it as a country give/gets from the E.U, is APPLICABLE to ALL other E.U member states. You want to benefit from the "enlarged free market", yet you dont want the people who make-up that market? You want to benefit from the cheap labor (at least that is what employers tell me), yet you dont want to see the cheap labor people? You want to be able to travel free across Europe, yet you want to padlock your own border? You cant "pick and chose" which one you want to obey or get. its called GREED! But the GREED is fuelled by hate for others. SIMPLE Lastpage! PS: Dont bring me back here in the next 10hrs! ![]() |
Okijajuju1:Anyone that instils FEAR in others so much that they had to flee, "T&RRORIST"! Anyone that lays hold of what belongs to others without the 'wilful permission' of the owner, is a "THIEF"! You are not just a thief, but a tErrorist as well. Lastpage! |
Okijajuju1:..And what have you done about the "Mounted Speakers" which blares that loud sound "Alahu Wakuruba, e dide nle" every 5am? Or is it just the Bible thumping individual voice that disturbs you and not the one that wakes everyone within a mile radius? Be honest, FEAR nor let you confront those insane, Boko haram extremists! You only picked on the single, Christian preachers. Dont worry sha, KARMA is a biatch. ![]() Lastpage! BTW: I think its high time we have laws passed to ban any form of use of megaphone to disturb people's peace, be it from Church or Mosque. The Jehovah's Witnesses are the only ones who do their churching in moderation (their Speaker noise nor dey pass their church) but they also go about waking people up unnecessarily, with their door-to-door preaching. |
