1.) is there a law prohibiting HAWKING in that area?

2.) Why did the Hawker hawk in a prohibited area?

3.) When apprehended by Govt officials, is it right to bold away and try to evade a lawful apprehension?

4.) If everyone commits an offense and decide to bolt away, how will laws be enforced or do we just descend into anarchy?

5.) When he was running, did he not take cognisance of the dangers of running across and express way with fast moving vehicles?

6.) Are there no better ways of apprehending him, than chasing him across an express way?

7.) Why are our people always brazenly breaking laws and acting with impunity?

8.) Is it not time that the Govt give better training to these Kai (most of them are just touts and political thugs in Govt Uniform) so they know when to stop, where the life of someone is in danger?

You see, we reap what we sow.
I am sure if when apprehended, he decently explained his situation to the Kai Eediots and try to deal with the situation more 'maturely", maybe he would be alive till now.

11.) Did the owner of the "source of fund" pay declare and pay tax on such funds, in their primary place of abode?

12.) What is the proof offered by the COAS in his assertion that it is Boko Haram that is responsible for this "exposure on the internet"?

You also dont need to incur the "direct wrath" of those witches in your husband's family....

Let your husband make the decision to send her packing, then you support that decision as best as you can.

Your husband should be able to tel his Uncle that he needs to "inform them" prior, that he is coming to stay over.

Even if the Ceiling and POP has been done, can he not hook it up and pass the Copper Cable over the roof, encased in a PVC pipe (insulation to prevent contact with Roof) and over the side of the Walls, down to the base of building and then ground?

IMO, l think it need not pass through the Centre of the Building itself.... since the whole idea of "Earthing" is to get a path-way for charges from thunder, to be discharged to the ground instead of unto the Building itself.

The above is an alternative but it needs to be done properly not to make it so obvious (aesthetics)

You can do so by hooking the Arrestor's Spike to a non-conductive material so as to elevate it above the Roof a bit, then lock it to the highest point on your roof (l assume the Upper most part of the slope)

1. Lightning arrestor
2. Pure copper tape( you can know using magnetic test).
3. Industrial salt
4. Industrial charcoal
5. One earth rode (can't really remember the name)
6. Black and red wire of required diameter specify by the electrical engineer.... I think that should be all

Permit me to "humbly" add that the Arrestor is not necessarily ALWAYS placed on the ROOF!

There are times when other "objects" or part of a building are higher than the Roof!
For example, some buildings have this Water tank area "embeded" within the roofing area (but open to the sky) that are higher than the roof itself.

What we need to bear in mind is that thunder will strike THE HIGHEST "CONDUCTING" POINT of any object.
We just need to look and determine that point

Below is a summary of required expenses... though inflation would have made nonsense of it....... just use it as a guide.

One Unit of Thunder Spike iapproximately @ #9,500
7 lengths of original Earth rod approximately @ #4.500/Length
8 units of Earth coupler approximately @ #600 each
Less than 20M of Copper Tape @approximately #1700

I reckon the poster said he will NOT use PVC but wants to use Asbestos.

For health reasons, l gave him an alternative which agrees with his #against PVC..... but does not endanger his health!
Only that it does not come cheaper.

Alternatively, l would even suggest he just use "thick enough" Plywood Boards
That should be comparative to Asbestos in terms of pricing.

Thanks for the clarification. I have always wrongly assumed that you did everything from substructure to roofing, plumbing, electrical, tiling etc yourself whenever you say that you have built houses through DIY in the States.

That is why l used the word COMPLEXITY, to describe certain things that one cant DIY by himself!

Even if you know "how to do it" ...... Govt regulations would still INSIST you hire someone who is a Qualified Professional to "oversee and stamp" what you are doing.

For example, if you are not qualified Electrical Engineer or even a Qualified Electrical 'Technician', why would you want to attempt a "Complete and Standard" wiring of say, a Three Storey Complex?
That would be a disaster waiting to happen.

I think its a question of JUDGEMENT.... knowing when to DIY, and knowing when to 'throw your hands-Up" and allow Professional do their job


All the same, there is a thrill l get when l see my DIY builds standing strong & firm. I am sure other DIY enthusiasts feel the same way

Honestly, its mostly Supervision that l do ......... and my Resident Engineer is paid to come and appraise what l have done (before and after)..... before l kill myself!
