Lastpage, one Mr Yinka is accusing your home boy Brabus for of another fake arch drawing. Just thought I should mention it here...how una won handle this one?

By the way the only thing I miss here is the crayons. Just 2 pages in 3 days? Boring!

Still on vacation from this hell of a thread. grin
I will simply have asked you to F-off my mention and then ignore you ...........
but then, l think people like us owe it a responsibility to society, to "educate, mediate and re-direct", if need be.

First, calling a married man, with child/children, somebody's "homeboy" is insulting!
My 'relationship' with Brabus (if we can call it that), is no-different from my 'relationship' with ANYONE here on this thread: Anonymous and not beyond this thread (anyone with proof of anything beyond that can make it available)

Secondly, if anyone should make a PUBLIC ACCUSATION, common sense should tell them that it should be IMMEDIATELY backed-up with "hard evidence", .....alongside the accusation.
Its not enough to just say it and expect people to start asking "Wetin happen"? shocked
I operate on "strict fairness" to EVERYONE.

Next, an Architectural Drawing is a Client's imagination of how they want their build to look like, represented on paper, by someone with that ability... in basic terms.

Depending on your "AGREEMENT" with the "Person" making the drawing, which is also a function of HOW MUCH YOU BOTH AGREE-TO, AS "CONSIDERATION" for the job, it could be drawn on just plain A4 paper, or the wider and standard A3 or A2 paper.

Furthermore, it could be drawn by a Draughtsman, an educated/trained "Architect", or an Architect without/with a Certified STAMP and SEAL.

These are all OPTIONS under the "Terms & Conditions" between the Client and the Contractor.

Looking at your post up there, l am sure you are smart enough to know that it provides ZERO information on any of these issues (T & C) between the Client and the person you are accusing!

l will advice you that you use GOOGLE to get the Contact Address of Architects in your area, if you need a drawing ....as the Nigerian Guilds of Architects have a functioning website.

STOP patronising QUACKS just because you dont want to pay "standard rate" to qualified architects, only to come here crying like baby deprived of Bwreast milk since birth!

Finally, if everything FAILS, once again, instead of wasting your megabytes gossiping, use it to find the address of EFCC.
It is their job to deal with "financial malpractices"! .....and they get paid for it.

Have a nice Holiday. This thread had enjoyed a day or two of decency while you were away. Lets keep it that way undecided

With your level of diplomacy Sir, l am sure our country would have a lot of uses for you.

Hmmm.... that your NPF contribution is on a long thing o!
I am sure when you did it, the system was not computerised so the chances that they can recall your details is very minimal.
Also, the level of corruption, change of fund-managers, looting of the fund itself, e.t.c has further reduced such chances to an even more dangerous level.

If you wish Sir, do read about Kenny Martins and his management of the retirement funds.

I wish you well Sir.

You are right about the "Ground Rule" but only the Moderator has the power to enforce it... and where is the Moderator?

Hajji M.
Good one Hajj! Really good one!!

I am of the belief that as "grown-ups" (and not so grown-ups at times grin ), we are bale to "self-regulate"..... if we make up our mind, to do so.

In general, we know ourselves over here on this thread.

Safe for new posters on this thread, majority of us have been on this thread for sometimes.

What if we all agree, by stating it, that we will all accept this ground rule (dont stoke violence or encourage of sinisterly instigate by posing pushy questions along that line) .......... and when anyone does it or is attempting to do so, we call them to order in one voice, in a very friendly and respectful manner?

We dont have to get into the original spat that the person is trying to stoke (that one is another issue we can completely avoid) but we can inform the "crying more than the bereaved" assistant, "Do you mind not to get involved or push them to carry on? (at least, if you cant advice them to calm down and take a chill, you can as well just do like OBJ: Siddon-look, with your mouth/fingers permanently at rest!

Looking at the last one between( Egun and Agarawu) as an example, we saw peeps adding fuel to it, making snide remarks, even trying to add other people (saying Brabus sent me, saying some are sharing the money together, insinuating someone is the Approval officer involved, one even came from no-where and just started abusing another person who was not involved in the spat, awarding score to one person like 2-0, e.t.c )

These are all instigations to fuel the animosity further so that the two can expose, insult, abuse and ridicule themselves further, in th eopen.
ofcourse, these same people are holding unto those abuses, keeping it for use against the person they pretend to be supporting, in the nearest future!
undecided

I will expect that if you cant sue for peace....... be QUIET, at least.

Moderator cant be everywhere as l dont think it is a full time job and even if it is, it will require a 24x7 attendance on the thread, not to mention the number of thread available for moderation.

I think we all can be civil and respectful with ourselves, if we chose to do so.
I understand that the anonymity we enjoy here (and l am guilty of that too!) and on the internet generally, gives us the laxity to be extremely aggressive and abusive, without recourse to the implication....... if per-chance, the face behind the keyboard is unmasked.

We can do it

Thank you Hajj.

Hello everyone,

A.) Where I am now the pay is 100k per month for my position, accommodation, staff bus to and fro work daily with no other benefits for now, it is a one man business that is just starting up in Abeokuta and I am enjoying working with the company though the job is tasking and demanding but I am learning daily...

B.)
Though the start up pay is half what I am getting in Abeokuta;
1. PENSION
2. INSURANCE
3. 13TH MONTH
4. TRAINING AND RETRAINING
5. CAREER GROWTH
6. JOB SECURITY
7. EXPOSURE
ABOVE ALL, IT IS A MULTINATIONAL ORGANIZATION

Now I have between now and tomorrow Thursday to either resign in Abeokuta or reject the offer in Lagos
I am happy for people like you.

To be honest, it is not good to advice someone, "on career" if you dont know what is their PRIORITY in Life.
You have to tell us what YOU want, from a job.
What is your priority, or how ould your "ordered priority" look like?

1.) Money ( High Income, emoluments) ?
2.) Job Security and stability ( No emergency sacking like in the Civil Service)?
3.) Prestige (like in working for a bank or Oil company?)
4.) Self development (lie working for an audit firm like Accenture, where you probably will undergo training and certifications almost every year)?
5.) Future looking ( some jobs develop you to become a Leader in the future)

It is based on your own priority, that one can offer advice that will suit your intent and aspirations.
The danger of telling you what to do now is that l (or anyone) would be telling YOU what to do, based on our own priorities..... which may not align with yours!

or do you think what you want from a job is essentially what everyone else want from a job? huh huh

Dont forget, you NEEDS are not the same with your WANTS..... and these would change as you get older and your priorities change.
For example, a single man with a kid would prefer job stability over higher income ..... because he knows what could happen if that "high salary" suddenly evaporates!

Again, someone who made a 3rd Class out of University, will (should) be more interested in doing higher level training/courses to cover potential deficiencies that such grade may bring, going forward!

these are just two examples.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITIES, in order of preference?

Lastpage!

BTW: discount out that "Insurance and Pension"! grin It does not work that way! You wont likely work long enough in your job to think about "pension". grin
Also, insurance for staff is currently just a "scam" to take part of your money (as they do with pension contribution), as they dont intend to pay anything substantial to you..... except you have a "death-wish" sha! shocked
Those two dont really count for anything, at this stage.

Very interesting topic but unfortunately I won't like to discuss it in details for personal reasons. I did that foundation design on my own volition and it end up backfiring cos the client felt much time was wasted on the groundworks as against the effectiveness of the design. What's more fun is the integration of the septic tank into the foundation.

It's a pretty cool idea to have a floating raft and integrated septic tank system in a waterlogged terrain.

To your question, a trial hole was dug to determine the soil properties and probable requirement. And we ended up using bentonite and polymer to stabilize the non-cohesive soil during the drilling.

I'll sure setup another design pretty soon.

________
The much dreaded basement and floating raft foundation on my mind though. Hopefully I'll get it done in one of my DIY backyard project.
Okay, l respect your wish for privacy on the issue.

Just understand that "responsibility rests with the Builder", ...irrespective of how the Client feels.

What you owe a Client, first and foremost, is a SOUND STRUCTURE & VALUE FOR MONEY, in that order...... all other issues can be resolved.

Like we say in project mgt, You do it right the first time, ..and everytime".
