Politics › Re: How EFCC Almost Arrested Aisha Buhari’s Impostor – Ribadu by lastpage: 6:42am On Jun 23, 2016
TonyeBarcanista:
ON THE CONTROVERSIAL HALIBURTON AISHA BUHARI:
Having done my independent investigation, I came to conclusion that the said Aisha Buhari is an impostor and not related to the Wife of the President. These are my reasons;

1. The said Miss Aisha Buhari claimed to be the daughter of General Muhammadu Buhari and not the Wife of General Muhammadu Buhari.

However, Buhari in 2006 had denied having any daughter with such name. According to him;

“I don’t have any relationship with that Aisha Buhari,” Mr. Buhari said. “I don’t have any daughter called Aisha Buhari living outside this country. She is not my daughter.”
http://mobile.nytimes.com/2007/04/29/business/yourmoney/29lobby.html?pagewanted=all&referer=

2. The said Aisha of Haliburton was said to be in her middle age as at 2006, while Mrs Buhari is 47years of age as at now.

3. The Haliburton Aisha was said to have testified in the Haliburton case in the USA in 2006, there is no record that Mrs Buhari ever appeared in USA court to give any testimony.

4. Former EFCC Chairman and PDP Chieftain Mallam Nuhu Ribadu that handled the case had confirmed that the fraudulent Aisha is not the daughter of Mr President and has no relationship with him.

5. A Google search on the image of haliburton Aisha reveals no semblance with Mrs Aisha Buhari.
Even more importantly, USA Court Documents showed that the former Akwa Ibom Governor mentioned in the case also made depositions that confirmed that the accused Aisha could not be the wife of Mr. President because she (the accused Aisha) claimed she is a DAUGHTER to Buhari!

below is my post on the issue, YESTERDAY, on another thread

https://www.nairaland.com/3180546/aisha-buhari-calls-fayose-mad/6#46825971

ppl should read this article on this case and give their opinion. personally I want to believe Fayose on this.

http://www.post-nigeria.com/us-court-documents-reveal-aisha-buharis-involvement-in-the-atiku-jefferson-scandal/
I read the article and some paragrapgh, which l quote below, is worth "examining" for CLUES!

As indicated by the New York Times story, “she (Aisha Buhari) told him that her father was the former military ruler of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, and that her American friends included politicians like Mr. Jefferson of Louisiana.”

The former Governor, also verified the claim by the New York Times when he said, he knows Ms. Buhari’s daughter, who is still a powerful Nigerian politician, by reputation. He also met her, he said, in 2001 when she accompanied a group of American politicians that included Mr. Jefferson to Akwa Ibom, to see oil-related pollution problems there.

“All I needed to do was ask Aisha if she knew him,” Mr. Attah recalls.
From the above, it is clear that much of the evidence linking Buhari name to the crime, is provided by the former Akwa Ibom Governor.
He is what we call a Principal Witness.

Now, only scrutinising his deposition, one would notice that:

*He knows the accused very well, in person
*He has repeatedly referred to the accused person as DAUGHTER of Buhari
*He has repeatedly alluded to the relationship between the accused and our current President as that of FATHER and DAUGHTER.

It is my own conviction that, based on the provided witness depositions (FACTS, which evidence the Court has found reliable and relied upon), the relationship between the current President and the accused lady "Aisha" Buhari, is that of "Father and Daughter".

The lady that Fayose is currently accusing of being the "accused person" in the scandal, has a relationship of "HUSBAND and WIFE" with President Buhari... going over 30yrs and predating the scandal (which was between 2001 AND 2005)

Based on these FACTS (as against opinions), the President's wife cannot be the accused person, who was his daughter (adopted or biological) as shown in the witness depositions.

FAYOSE missed this one, except he can provide incontrovertible proof, that both are one and the same person.
As of this moment, he has not done that.

"the LAW is about EVIDENCE".....put before the Court".

Whenever I hear the name Saraki I always remember the story I heard when societe general bank collapsed. This struggling taxi driver was saving the earnings from his business at the bank. He was doing "daily contribution " in the sense that he goes to deposit some amount daily in his account. This continued for years and he had a substantial amount as his life saving. Then the Sarakis, led by Bukola the current Senate president, ran the bank aground by massive looting of depositors' money. The taxi driver may have later died of hypertension. If you knew the atrocities Bukola Saraki commited as executive director in the bank and worse still as kwara state governor, you won't mind him being locked away for good.
Not just the "poor commoners" like Taxi drivers.

Even our own darling J. J. Okocha was pauperised by this same Saraki (Bukola and his father, Olusola Saraki).

While J. J. Okocha was playing very active football, he was sending his earnings home, into his Societe General Bank ccount, with the hope of coming back to Nigeria after ending his playing career.

He had over One Hundred Million Naira (in those days, which might equate to almost a billion Naira in today's monetary value) in his Societe General Bank Account (where Olushola Saraki was the Chairman and Bukola Saraki was the Managing Director).

Bukola Saraki and his father, Olusola Saraki looted the money and left Okocha penniless!

Hence Okocha now goes around still seeking jobs from NFF.

I wonder why these Sarakis have criminality in their gene?

Like Father, like Son!.... Oleeee!

The "sweat" of J. J. Okocha will not allow him to go scott-free

And to imagine that the same criminal presides over the Senate of a country with 170million people?
Is it that we cant find just one decent humanbeing in Nigeria again?

The trials will run concurrently
Saraki, in the application which his lawyer, Mr. Ahmed Raji (SAN), filed on Wednesday, said compelling him to face the fresh forgery charges alongside his ongoing trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal would jeopardise his right to fair hearing.
These Criminals are funny sef! grin grin

I will at least have expected Saraki to lay it out in detail, how going to court on Monday, for the CCT trial.... and then going to court of Wednesday for his forgery trial will jeopardise his right to "fair hearing"

Is it not so that he may "BE HEARD, IN A FAIR MANNER", THAT HE WAS CHARGED TO COURT INSTEAD OF BEING SENT TO KUDJE/KIRIKIRI PRISON LIKE FFK, OLISAH AND "DILECTOR"?

Saraki should just tell us that he is not ready to defend himself in a law Court!
In that case, he should just 'jejely' plead guilty and be sentenced with Leniency!

Just imagine if this sort of Criminals have IMMUNITY, as they want to give themselves! shocked shocked

God forbid.

@ onokwu,

Unloading the existing foundation at Community Road, Akoka.
Interesting Features

- 35 piles
- 1.2m beam sitting on the pile caps
- Suspended DPC slab
- No Sandfilling.

Status - Done
@Brabus, @AbdulWastecx and @Spyderman

I am looking at the attached Suspended Slab and two things crossed my mind.

1.) Those voids below the Suspended Slab are surrounded by four sides of vertical concrete Walls. This means each "cubicle" is an enclosed space.
Since they are not sand-filled, it also means they would have water stored in them, below the suspended Slab.

I am wondering, will it be a bad idea to introduce a small PIPE in one of the sides of the vertical walls so as to act as a channel for such water to flow-away, in situations where the really become much?
It wont cost anything structurally but could help elongate the life of the structure or at least make underneath more "homely"!

2.) Those 1 x 12 Boards used to create the suspended slab will number no less than 300! At about a thousand each, that equates to about 300K!
I am not sure but l am assuming those Boards will be permanently buried under the Slab.
Since there is still a lot of need/use for those Boards as the building develops, l am wondering: Is there any way those Boards can be recovered (say for re-use).

I am always looking for ways to "innovate and be more efficient" in everything l do, so you can understand the way l see things.... maybe a lil'different.

whats your take?

Thanks mate for giving your own take on this and I am glad we still have reasonable ppl who will comment on a post with logic and their own findings based on facts available. Well for me I just want this country rid of our corrupt leaders and it should be done soonest.

Meanwhile can you please tell me your take on this issue of the legislatures asking for immunity for their leaders just like the executive arm of the govt are enjoying?
Sir,

I share the bolded sentiments with you, in its entirety.

Based on the principle of Separation of Powers, each arm of Government should be independent and able to discharge it duties without fear or favor from another arm of Govt.
Such fear would arise from issues of threat to "starve them of fund" (Executive => Judiciary and legislature), prosecute them (Executive => Legislature), with-hold the passing of financial legislation to run the Govt (legislature => Executive), Unfounded threat of impeachment (legislature => Executive) e.t.c

Immunity is a PROTECTION from Prosecution, while occupying a designated office.
But as has been identified above, such Immunity has to be assumed with a sound character, responsible personality and not abused to commit and act with impunity! fayose is a good example of the latter parts!

On the Legislature, we should ask ourselves: Why do they need Immunity? What level of "protection" do they currently have? and finally? What is their antecedents, that makes them a candidate for such immunity?

On a general note, everyone who occupies a Public office cannot enjoy immunity from prosecution because it is a very powerful constitutional protection!

1.) the legislature already enjoys "financial immunity" such that whether salary are not paid or Nigeria earns only ten Naira in a financial year, their own ALLOCATION from the Nation's purse is guaranteed! Yes, they would get their MONEY if me and you cannot be paid for work done to the public service, whether Hospitals cant buy Oxygen to attend to surgery patients, whether teachers cant get salary, e.t.c

This is explained a few months back when the Senate President, Bukola Saraki bought close to 50 Vehicles (cant remember the exact number now) at #36Million Naira each, as GIFT for his fellow Senators who followed him to the CCT tribunal ..... in a country that was so broke that majority of States were going abroad to borrow money to pay backlog of salaries to public servants!
He claimed that money was the money left from the previous years Budget..... but one might ask if unspent Budget are not supposed to be returned to the nations treasury and used judiciously?

The Executive Arm of Govt could have seized the money but then, the NASS money is under IMMUNITY! grin

Again, we know that a lot of our former Governors simply "transformed to Senators" by brazen rigging and using state funds to buy elections!

Question is why would someone who has governed a State for 8years, seek to become a Senator (Not even a Minister?)
The answer lies in the "partial protection" they enjoy (a sort of mini-immunity) as Senators!

Our own Senators want to use the Senate to "protect their criminality"..... as opposed to use it to make laws that better the citizens and protect the weak!
Thieves and treasury looters clamour to become Senators just so they can be shielded from their past crimes!
If the Govt agency tries to prosecute a former Governor (now Senator) who has looted his state's treasury (like most ex-Governors).. he will simply brandish the "they want to muzzle Legislative Arm of Govt Card"... so his mates can rally around him!
You know their is "protection/honor between thieves"! grin

Many Governors who are now Senators have killed people or organised assassinations of their political opponent! Remember Bola Ige was the nations Attorney General when he was murdered in his bedroom?

Now, imagine if such people are given constitutional immunity from ALL PROSECUTIONS, like the Governors! It would be MAYHEM on earth!

Finally, the 'reason detre' behind giving Federal and state Executives "immunity' was to prevent them from being subjected to frivolous, legal distractions which would prevent them from adequately discharging their responsibility to the Public (everyone will sue the President or Governor, if they can!)
It was not construed to be used as an instrument of oppression or abuse of office or to commit and cover-up crimes!... which is what it is mostly being used for, by some of those enjoying it now, despite their number being limited.

I have predicted before now that the first thing Fayose will do just before his immunity expires, is to become a Senator!
he wants to shield himself form answering for whatever crime he has been accused of!

So, if you give Senators immunity, Senators who by their antecedents have shown that they dont err on the side of the Citizens?
Senators who blatantly increase their own Salaries and Allowances when the same Govt is asking the citizens to "tighten and already tight belt"?
Senators who are known to collect Bribes and pervert the course of Justice?
Senators who collect salaries for doing virtually NOTHING, some dont even attend sessions and only do so when there is money to be shared?
Senators who cannot purge the criminals amongst themselves?

My point is you dont accrue such "absolute power" to irresponsible and very selfish people!
Everyone accused of a crime should be willing to go to the court to prove their innocence and defend their integrity. Even sue for Libel/Defamation/Character assassination.

No one should be able to say "I dont want to be charged o court", in the absolute sense..... Not even the President (though he gets "impeachment" on his neck, to checkmate him, something Senators dont get)!

I would rather Judges have immunity (and they also do to a little extent, in their own Court..... and the Judicial Council is also a disciplinary body for them..... whereas there is nothing like that to discipline Senators!)

As of now, only the Legislative arm of Govt (out of the three Arms) does not have a "check and balance" body to discipline them!
They cant even be recalled by their constituency or removed when they "jump ship" after being elected on the platform of a political party.

Its this bad already!

Do you also remember the Senator Farouk Lawan-Gate scandal? was he prosecuted or disciplined in anyway? NO!

Now, imagine adding immunity to the protection of such criminals!

Infact, if you ask me, l would suggest that the Senate be abolished "as it is" now, turned to a "part-time" body (where they are paid only a stipend as sitting allowance and can do their daily jobs elsewhere) while making laws for the country.

There is too much "money and power" attached to these political offices, that is why it has become a do-or-die affair and Criminals are attracted to it ......more than intelligent, patriotic people!

The IMMUNITY thing should even be restricted to the President alone and the V.P should only have it when they are acting in capacity as President
Forget giving it to Senators. That should NEVER happen!

The above is my opinion.

Thank you.

Gbawe:
you continue to show the arrogance of Nigerians I have talked about here many times. Many can see I begged the interpretation of Lawyers and humbly submitted I am not one and would therefore welcome their input. You, despite been asked directly if a lawyer, continue to cling to some 'i am right' high ground with vague reference to the constitution when everyone knows there are grey areas that mean immunity does not confer on a person the right to go around acting lawlessly. I hinted at this when , using common sense, I suggested in an earlier post that Fayose should be immune from malicious prosecution that distracts him from doing his very important job. I also added that this does not mean he escapes sanction for his own deliberate actions aimed at impugning the name or reputation of others.

You never told us if you are a lawyer or not and i can now see why. You simply want us to accept your layman interpretation as correct when you actually don't have any professional knowledge to confirm you are 100% correct. Nigerians do this a lot. I know my people and this is why I investigated further to indeed note that i have a point. I was going on instincts related to equity and fair play initially while you just want to hide behind an "immunity is complete and final" argument to support your opinion. See below to indeed note I have a valid point. Every sensible person know you cannot have access to greater specialist legal knowledge than a Presidency, which includes a distinguished and accomplished lawyer as VP, that warned that there will be "legal consequences" against Fayose's actions. Read what is written below and take it in although I suspect you will still continue to claim you know authoritatively that Fayose is above the law as is customary with many Nigerians who are always ready to argue emotionally while never humbly submitting themselves to the opinions of those who have authority to speak decisively on the matter at hand. This is why I asked if you are a lawyer in the first place, since I had asked for the input of legal experts only, and you failed to tell us this.

Nairalanders, please judge the article below yourselves from legal affairs media Nigeria while our Nairaland Femi Falana, i.e lastpage, continues to insist otherwise. We are watching since it seems lastpage and some other Nairalanders, who are all not legal experts, know more than the Presidency which insists there will be legal consequences for Fayose's action. I think it is clear , from below, that the constitution does not give Fayose carte blanche to be "verbally reckless" as this cannot be allowed to be a "defence for defamation". We will see she.

http://allafrica.com/stories/200901230475.html
Sorry Gbawe, if you think l come across as "arrogant". I AM NOT.

I am simply stating my own opinion on the matter.
Once again, apologies for your interpretation of my personality.

No need for all those "name-calling" on your.own part! I never claimed to be "Nairaland Lawyer" and l dont know how you came about that conclusion?..... l never insulted you in anyway in my post... or did l?

I am sure if l had answered you directly on my professional leanings, you will next ask me to paste a copy of my Graduateship & Law School Certs here! This is Nairaland, It can go on and on, if your intention is to "discredit someone' opinion" by attacking their credibility.

Having explained that part, let us focus on the substance of your post and the authority you quoted

Nigeria: Immunity, Defamation And Press Freedom

Legal AffairsMediaNigeriaWest Africa

By Buchi Okoli
Immunity cannot shield any governor from verbal recklessness and cannot be a defence to defamation.

The 1999 constitution contains a clause that has become flagrantly abused and disrespected by the persons to whom it refers. The section aims at protecting the persons sought to be protected. This however does not in the least permit or encourage executive lawlessness on the part of the person with immunity. The person with immunity must have a duty not to deliberately flaunt the constitution and make nonsense of the immunity clause. Their criminal accusation of any citizen must be based on facts and not hearsay. A fact anyway must not necessarily be the truth. Immunity must be earned and not acquired by anybody. It applies to the office and not the person occupying the office. However in the new improved constitution yet to evolve, the excesses of this clause must be clogged. My only regret in this is that the National Assembly seem very lackadaisical about this constitutional review, which is a major function of their existence as per the 1999 constitution.
On reading through, l noticed that this quote is also an OPINION of a legal body/individual.
I am sure we can both distinguish between an "OPINION"..... and a "FACT OF LAW" (something stated expressly or back-up expressly by the wordings of the Constitution .... or by PRECEDENCE JUDGEMENT).

I am also sure we both notice the "repeated use" of phrases like "Must be", "Yet to Evolve" in the expressed "opinion".... which are all FUTURE TENSES that shows these are what the legal entity making this submission ..... "hopes will be in place (in the constitution) , in the FUTURE" .

Until the such amendments he/she is expecting to be made to the constitution is made, .... the Constitution still remains what it is.

Grey Areas:
The above Opinion of a legal expert DID NOT also state the "grey areas" you mentioned.... except if you mean that by disagreeing with or having a contrary opinion to "the position/wordings of the Constitution" on a matter, constitutes a "grey area". No, it doesn't Sir.

In my own understanding, "grey areas" should mean where "The CONSTITUTION states "A" in one place... and then states the OPPOSITE "B" in another place such that "there seems to appear a CONFLICT in the wordings of the Constitution". Then, it is "grey" and needs further "legal interpretation" by the Supreme Court, being the highest court of the land

The OPINION even went further to highlight what l said in one of my previous post that "the current Assembly will rather give themselves immunity as well, rather than amend/clarify the immunity clause in such a way it can create a pathway for erring "office holders" conferred with immunity, to still face legal consequences in their own personal right, while still enjoying the "official immunity".

This is currently NOT the case.

Now, to the issue of the Presidential office/ VP:

The VP is a respected legal luminary no doubt and l dont want you to view my post as impugning on his credibility. Not in anyway.

Permit me to use an "analogy" to explain what l am about to say, as it is more of a common sense explanation... (as against a legal one )

Now, a SAN Lawyer is someone who is also versed in the Law, both experience and qualification-wise.
You and l will expect that someone with a SAN knows the Law in-and-out and can differentiate when something is lawful or not.

With the above in mind, ......In case of litigation, how do you explain a situation where both "opposing sides of the argument" are represented by a few SAN's, both claiming to be RIGHT and CORRECT at the same time?

1.) It is either one of the SAN's (one side of the argument) dont know what they are saying (the true position of the law on the matter) but
that would be preposterous, for us to even think, knowing who/what a SAN is ... or

2.) One of the side's SAN's is just "arguing and hoping" they can pull a wool over the eyes of the law while just trying to "serve their side of the argument".

Basically, what l am inferring from this example, is that "the much respected V.P, a Prof of Law, knows the truth but is just "serving his side of the argument".
Lawyers do this all the time!

Until they now go forward to institute a legal case (based on their position).... AND WIN SUCH CASE IN COURT, .....
....until then, they are simply "feeding the public" with their personal opinion
.

I dont expect the VP to come out in support of Fayose and affirm publicly that the Constitution actually gave him a "Carte Blanche" to be criminally rascally!

Sit back and think about it for a moment.
In doing so, bear it in mind that Lawyers "prove (argue) and win" a case in court not by expressing their "opinion" but by citing/quoting the relevant section of the Law which backs their argument.

For now, Section 308 of the CONSTITUTION backs my argument that Fayose cannot be successfully prosecuted (civilly or criminally) while occupying the office of a State Governor.

BTW: I agree that Immunity SHOULD NOT shield any Public office holder from verbal recklessness, the type Fayose has engaged-in, over and over again.

Have a good day.

Buhari and his wife can only deceive the gullible emotionally unbalanced youths of Nigeria.
Even Aisha Buhari, as the wife of President Buhari, can be extradited on request (if accented to by the FGN) as she DOES NOT enjoy any immunity by her familial relationship with Presidential immunity.

Could it be that the US know the "Aisha" they want and are convinced that it is not Aisha Buhari ? (Remember even the husband just got his own immunity about one year ago!)

Just wondering.

Bruv are you a lawyer? If yes why not show conclusively that the law does not distinguish between Fayose the Nigerian citizen from Fayose the governor of a Nigerian State? That is why the civil courts exists. Are you saying conclusively that a libel suit cannot be entertained as a case between two private Nigerian citizens merely because Fayose is a governor? If he is a governor always why does the law still still protects his privacy and rights as an individual also? Please let us hear from lawyers. Surely we must have some here to shed light on the matter conclusively instead of us laymen continuing to give our own rudimentary personal opinions. The Presidency seems to believe "legal consequences" can arise against Faye's libellous actions and I would prefer to believe a very well-advised and powerful authority such as that rather than my fellow Nairalander who is probably a businessman or IT consultant with no specialist knowledge of the law.
1.) Fayose is NOT a private Citizen....... by virtue of the 'political position' he operates

2.) Criminal cases override Civil cases (A criminal case will conclude first, if both are concurrent, to a civil case)

3.) The immunity is against prosecution.......... which (prosecution) is also applicable to civil cases

So, until l tell you l am qualified as a Lawyer (no matter how recent), that is when what l am saying will make sense to you?
Are you not aware that there are people qualified in three, four fields of profession?
Are you saying certain "basic tenets" of the law cant even be appreciated by you, who is not a Lawyer?
Have you not seen or even heard of 'individuals/civilians/lay men, defend themselves in a law court, against another litigant who brandishes a Lawyer..... and gets the case decided in their favor?

Not sure Fayose cannot be sued as you claim. Are we sure a civil suit cannot compel Fayose to appear as an ordinary citizen, minus political office, to defend allegations of slander against another Nigerian citizen? Immunity should prevent Fayose facing any criminal conviction that may see him jailed while in office but I think he is answerable to civil suits brought up again him. Lawyers here should interpret for us as I cannot be bothered to do the research. The Presidency feels that "legal consequences" can arise to deal with Fayose's libellous actions against the first lady and I would like to think the Presidency, including a lawyer VP who excelled in his primary profession, is well-advised over this issue.
Sir,

Section 308 is very explicit on that matter.

Its a Constitutional matter for now.

The best/worst that can happen now (as long as he is a Governor), is to INVESTIGATE AND COMPILE a dossier on him so that the very minute his immunity lapse, he would be arrested and charged accordingly.

No Court worth its salt will even hear a case against someone whom the CONSTITUTION has granted IMMUNITY to.

Buhari is not that "nice" (and no one is) when it comes to abusing his wife ... but he knows that he is stuck with the Mad Dog for now grin grin

The Good thing is: Buhari will still be the President FRN, when Fayose's immunity lapses as a Governor. I just cant wait for that day.

And fyi my mum wouldn't do what Aisha just did, right from school and home I have been taught that actions speak louder than words, all she needed to do was to bring out evidence to prove to Nigerians that She is not the Aisha Buhari in question.

She owes Nigerians an explanation not Fayose and besides this story has been on for a long time she shouldn't act like it's Fayose that leaked the story.
Your stewpidity is beyond comprehension!

It is not the duty of an "accused" person, to prove their innocence....... the "burden of proof" lies with the "accuser".

Gbawe:
Bruv, I would hope our lawyers on NL help us interpret this, as I am not a lawyer, but I am not sure Fayose has immunity from a civil suit regarding his libellous conduct against others. Loosely I can understand how the immunity law can protect Fayose against false accusations et al, since many distractive accusation could be alleged against important politicians for frivolous reasons, but I don't see how Fayose can openly slander others and get away with it with the victim having no recourse to the law courts to gain justice.

Lawyers beg shed light on the matter because it seems fundamentally wrong for Fayose to go around acting like this with the victims of his action unable to gain justice and prevent him from doing same in future. Shah Garba , the President's spokesman, has already hinted that a libel suit may be pending against Fayose and I would like to think he knows what he is talk about. http://saharareporters.com/2016/06/21/fayose-childish-boorish-instincts-presidency-says
No long Story Gbawe!

The LAW is as azz! Its blind, unemotional and cares-less about morality!

Fayose is IMMUNE (as in IMMUNITY) to PROSECUTION......... for as long as he is a state Governor in Nigeria.

Any suit against him, (while a Governor) will be struck out, on the first day of hearing.
undecided

End of story.

Nothing anyone can do about it..... unless the constitution is changed by the National Assembly (and you can bet that will never happen, infact the criminals would rather add themselves to the 'immunity list"! grin grin

I guess Fayose's gubernatorial immunity precludes him from a libel law suit, seeing that the evidence points to an impostor daughter of Buhari and not even to his wife.

If this account truly belongs to Aisha (as I'm not sure any has ever been associated with her), it only reveals that she's a woman who can never exercise the restraint a man can.

She should also consider Fayose's plight. A drowning man would always grab on to anything he can lay hold to.
Fayose is acting loose because he knows he enjoys IMMUNITY FROM PROSECUTION.

Aisha cant sue him as long as he is a Governor. Simple, True and Period!
That is the "criminal" constitution that Babangida, Abdusallami foisted on Nigerians

But there are at least seven ways to skin a cat like Fayose.
Fayose can be "investigated" and "soften properly"... while waiting for his term to run out (They must ensure he does not become a Senator and does not run-away, a day before handing over) grin grin

That b@stard needs to be taught a serious lesson.

He has not only abused the office of a Governor, he has desecrated that office beyond comprehension.

But Aisha should never come down to his gutter level......NEVER!

Why are you people so d@ft like this?

You think all those things they unearthed came to them "on a platter of gold" .... in just one day?
You think it was Obanikoro and Fayose who gave them a "Bagful of Evidence" ...... or they had to dig it up, even with uncooperative bank staff who are also criminals?

Investigations of this nature (where the criminals are rich, powerful office holders and crooked), takes very long!

But the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has urged Buhari to caution the EFCC and urgently intervene to rescue the country from what he described as the “current gross abuse of the constitution.”

Reacting to the reported freezing of Fayose’s account by the EFCC, Mimiko, in a statement in Akure on Tuesday, said the action of the anti-graft agency had portrayed the nation as one in crisis.

The Ondo State governor argued that the EFCC could not “interfere with the account of a sitting governor,” saying such action would run contrary to Section 308 of the Nigerian Constitution.

According to him, if the intention was to suggest any criminal infraction or fraud against the governor, the agency should have sheathed its sword until Fayose vacated office.

“What has happened is a blatant and violent infraction of the provisions of the constitution and our democracy.

“It’s an attempt to subvert the constitution and it is fascist. The intention is to achieve a penal sanction without going through the due criminal procedure and criminal proceedings,” Mimiko added.
SuperS1Panther:
Mr.Mimiko, you are very wrong sir.

Fayose only has immunity from prosecution and not from investigation. EFCC is also within its constitutional right to freeze a suspected account - no matter who you are, as long as it obtained a court order for it, as ruled by Supreme Court in the sake of Gani Fawehinmi vs IGP in the case of Tinubu.
Thank you very much Sir!

You see what they have turned our country into?
Mimiko is saying that we should wait for four years until a Thief is no longer enjoying IMMUNITY............ so he can have enough time to cover his crime!

Is this what IMMUNITY is all about? To commit criminality and cover it up..... then run for Senatorship and ask for further immunity?
No wonder Senators want to give themselves immunity by amending the constitution!
shocked shocked

These CRIMINALS are "shameless and brazen"!

Why are they using "grammar" (rule of law, fascist, separation of powers, e.t.c) to commit crime and defraud Nigerians?
Just look at the detailed investigation and the amounts involved?

Just imagine what good such amount would have done to Ekiti Workers who are being owed salaries?

Until we start tying these criminals to a stake at Bar Beach (like the days of Oyenusi, Mighty Joe, e.t.c) and pumping ten bullets into their chest, the suffering of ordinary Nigerians will continue to increase by the day.

Just imagine if that clueless Jonathan was re-elected...... all these criminality and looting will just go un-noticed.
Whatever criminals is left when Buhari finishes his term, the next president should also prosecute those.

Jessam:
The main purpose of a rain gutter is to protect a building's foundation by channeling water away from its base. The gutter also helps to reduce erosion, protects painted or stained surfaces by reducing exposure to water and provides a means to collect rainwater for later use. Rainwater is a natural element that can wreak havoc on a house if it’s not controlled by properly installed and maintained rain gutters. There are many misconceptions about gutters and as a result there are many mistakes homeowners are making. In some cases these mistakes are causing damage rather than preventing it.

The Benefits of Gutters
The importance of properly installed and maintained gutters can’t be stressed enough. Every house should have gutters. Here’s why rain gutters are so important:

Soil around the house is stabilized - even raft foundations can fail if there is not even sinking, the slab can fracture if one part of the building is sinking faster than the other, mostly the area that are water saturated sink faster i.e area around building with no guttering
Foundation problems can be avoided
Flooding under houses can be prevented
Erosion can be prevented and this preserves landscaping and turf
Water damage to siding can be prevented
Water staining of painted exterior walls and stone masonry can be prevented - thats why you see some buildings with green mould on exterior, thats excess moisture
Settling and cracking of sidewalks, interlock stone pavements and driveways can be lessened
Exterior doors adoors can be preserved
Nice one. This is the stuff we expect to be reading here...... not all those childish rants of the past few pages!. angry

If l may ask, what are those things you consider as MISTAKES that Home Owners make, when they include Roof Gutters in their house?

It will be educative if you mention them as one might have been making the same mistake without knowing! shocked shocked

Thank you!

@ lastpage, should we make this a competition as suggested by allCopacetic? I know it'll be fun.

However, I suggest that the competition should be open to everyone who meets the requirement of the organizer. And all submissions which must be original idea of each participant (either a group or an individual) should be submitted in pictures and videos with short narration of how it works.
Its what looking at! l like competitions for brilliant ideas.......... but we need to do more "paper-work" to Make it FAIR TO ALL and worth the effort.

e.g:
*How do you prevent copy-copy? .... if original ideas are to be displayed here?
*Proper and clear definition of what amounts to a "winner" needs to be specified?
*Prize needs to be stated... and of enough motivational value
*Impartial Panel of adjudicators need to be set-up and method of evaluation clearly spelt out
*Factor-in the naysayers who will do everything to cause disarray

But like l said, "Nothing is impossible".
I am game. undecided
