OPC has exceeded their use for now and we are moving on to greater things. What a Yoruba child can see sitting down...an Ibo Octogenarian cannot see standing up. Man pass man. If Nigeria remains one, our region will remain the economic hub, if Nigeria splits into pieces, we will develop the greatest black society known to mankind. Whichever way, Yorubas win. grin grin grin cool

My prayer is, God in His infinity mercies in all of these hardship, killings, rampaging and ransacking, protect the people and tribes that recognized His choice of leadership.

First of all, that Gani Adam's nigga is Ugly as f2k. If that's how he truly looks, I pity his wife.

Secondly, i thought the yorubas mocked Enugu for fulani attacks. See how OPC opened their yansh. When I stated the Southwest experience Fulani herdsmen attacks in the south the most, the yoloba attacked me. When I showed them that every thing the mock Enugu for regarding the herdsmen that they yoloba had that happened to them as well. Oya look at it. Foul yansh don open

Lastly, didn't they mock the Enugu governor for asking his people to fast and pray to fight fulani herdsmen. Now this Adam's dey tell am to use "traditional religion" to fight fulani herdsmen grin grin grin na who juju don help?
The bolded is the difference between the Yorubas .... and every other tribe!

Yorubas can look their self in the face and tell themselves the truth..... no matter how bitter it is.

This constant and recurring "self appraisal" and "self-regulation" is what makes YORUBAS stand miles ahead of other tribe, and why they are termed more sophisticated than others, in the evolutionary process of Homo Sapiens!
IT IS CALLED REFINEMENT.

You can mock all you like but the Yorubas know where they have failed, have identified the failure and are working on correcting the errors.
There is a Cliché which says: "Once a problem is identified, it is half-solved".

While Yorubas have identified their own problems, some other TRIBE are still blaming theirs on Yorubas, on Lord Lugard, on Israel, on Russia, on FOREX, on America, on United Kingdom, on the Weather, on Buhari, on APC.... even on the Lagos Lagoon! grin grin

Gani Adams right on point especially on the need to implement the confab report.
yes, he is right concerning the CONFAB..

But l am ashamed at his comments quoted below::
Adams who was the guest lecturer at the event said Yoruba people’s negative comments over the activities of the OPC has demoralized the group.

He said the group particularly lost the zeal to protect the people because it has been branded tout, thugs and terrorist by the same Yoruba race.

He added that they were only recognised during elections but shot their doors against them after they might have won.

Adams lamented that it was painful that some traditional rulers do not encourage OPC in their communities.

According to him, “religion has taken away traditional means of protection from the people in Yourba land.
Hehehe, cant stop laughing! cry cry
So, "the Chicken has come home to roost"?

Let us point out that Gani Adams and Fasheun were the ones that brought disgrace to the OPC cult.

- It was first, when both of them started arguing and fighting over LEADERSHIP... and went to court that the embarrassment started!

- It was when both of them decided to split the OPC into TWO factions, that the division and washing of dirty linen started.

- It was when in the process of "proving superiority" of numbers, that they both started accepting criminals into the OPC fold and such criminals began using our "heritage" to commit atrocities like Armed Robbery.

It was when Gani Adams and Fasheun turned themselves to "Gin-for-Hire", that the OPC started getting destroyed.

We all know that there are "Universal Laws" governing what we do in the OPC and when you break these immutable laws, you render your "heritage" FUTILE and you become susceptible to harm from others
It was in the process of corrupt enrichment that the same gani Adams lined-up behind PDP, collected Dollars from Jonathan/PDP ...and unleashed mayhem against the same Yorubas the organisation was set-up to protect, that he (Gani and his likes) destroyed the invincibility of the organisation and lost respect from everyone

Why is he now crying about being forgotten by Politicians? Was OPC set-up to protect Politicians or to foray into Politics?
How are we supposed to describe a "heritage group" that turns against it sown people, for some filthy lucre from politicians?

Gani Adams and Ayo Fasheun need to go back to "Alajobi, repent and ask for forgiveness. They should just repent and reform.

Nature abhors a vacuum and if OPC under Gani and Fasheun become "useless", other "Protectors or the Heritage" will fill the vacuum.

Alaajobi a'gbe waa.

Like an hour ago, I was at the back sit of SARS vehicle with handcuffs in my hands. They said am a Yahoo boy for having a kik application on my smartphone.
................
***The app (Kik) is a social media app which I used to chat with a friend in Los Angeles, not a very common app in Nigeria but one of the most used app in USA making it the only social app to connect with her.

If this is what Nigeria has become (became), then it's a sad story.

Don't know if this is the right section, mods plz help forward to Front Page.
Sorry for your experience! I did not think its necessary for me to quote everything.

Now, l often think we Nigerians make ourselves "sitting ducks" for these criminals in Uniform.

Nigerians of all ages, need to start "acting smartly" in such situation
(I am not saying we re foolish, but we need to DO MORE)

The deed has been done to you. You have been harassed, embarrassed, humiliated and fleeced of money!

Thank god your Brother was with you because it could have been worse if you were alone or it happened in a "dangerously isolated" location along the Express Way.

I guess, if you have the Power, you will like those SARS Criminals to be brought to JUSTICE and pay for what they did to you?
This is where being pro-active, comes-in.

Your Dad knew what was going-on.
I would expect he would come there armed with a "Recording Device" (even if it was his phone) and secretly record them and they were "negotiating for settlement".
Since there is a threat to the life of his son, l would expect he has no-option than to pay-up (like Kidnappers).

Now, after securing your safety, ...and this is where most Nigerians fall-my-hand.... I would expect he would take the NEXT STEPS to ensure that those who did this to his son, dont have the opportunity to do ti to someone's else son.
I would expect he would then Petition the State Commissioner or the I.G.P (if they are Federal SARS)...and if he does not get redress, he takes the matter to court, afterall, he has indisputable evidence to back it up.

But what happens, everyone in Nigeria laments the state of things but no-one want to take any concrete action to CHANGE things.
We blame the Govt but we dont play our own part, to make things better.

This is why l said we need to start acting smarter!

In this day and age of Technology where even the Cheapest phone can boast of a video Camera, there should be no need for arguments at all.
Imagine that even Agencies like the EFCC still arguing over "He chew his statement Paper" (Respects to Olisah Metuh! grin )....when they could have had a video evidence of all that happened during investigations!

You cant enter any "Law Agency" in the US or Europe without being covered by at least One camera.
Even officers on patrol are now being mandated to wear head cameras.... to avoid arguments, so what about we the citizens?

Anyway sha, lesson learned.
next time, dont let them get away with it so easily.

I am just wondering why is it that a 'wooden' facing Board is used on a roof, and then an Aluminium is placed over it, to serve the same "facing board" purpose?

My thought is that if you are going to use an Aluminium over that space, why not just use 2x2's at the top and bottom ....and then nail the Aluminium to it?

instead of nailing the Aluminium to a full-sized facing board?

The advantage to this method is in COST and WEIGHT (a 12ft x (12" x 1"wink facing Board is replaced by TWO 12ft x (2" x 2" ).

Or are there other reasons for having both at the same time, one on top of each other?

Lets share opinions.

Many thanks.

Hello everyone,

Pls quick question.

Do I need parapet for Aluminium roofing (Longspan, Steptiles or Metcoppo)?

Thanks in advance
Parapet is just for extra beauty (aesthetics), serves some use in a areas where the wind is very strong (prevents wind from going right under your roof and ....away it goes! grin ) some incorporates rain-gutters into it..... but it can also increase the weight of your building, which becomes significant in areas with low, lood-bearing soils.

No relationship with the type of "roof covering" you use on your roof frame.

Cheers.

VISTIN:
This is how it just happened and I wonder why a man should be that mean to his own wife.

I was coming from East to Lagos (Ihiala to Lagos) this morning and decided to stay at my Junction to wait for a cheaper vehicle going to Lagos, instead of going to the park and pay more ( I didn't have much left).

Luckily, I got a private vehicle and the occupants were the man, his wife (and baby) and another woman (passenger) they picked along the road.

When we got to Orifite, we picked another passenger and we set out for the journey.

Along the road, the man (driver) gave the wife a wrap of Moi-Moi they bought earlier to open it (if she wanted to eat). But the woman didn't hear the "if you want to eat".

She thought the husband wanted to eat the stuff and she opened it and gave to the man.

Immediately, the man started shouting at the woman in our presence. He went as far as saying making signs to us "you see the kind of wife I married"? He said it repeatedly and I had to calm him down.

After some time, he came up with same rubbish and that was when the woman said she didn't hear him say "if you want...".

The most painful part of it was the hating face he put up while insulting his wife in the public as if they were sworn enemies.

I respected the maturity in the woman as she never uttered a word while the man was fuming over a non-issue.

For me, There's no perfect wife and we have to learn how to manage our wives in the public. If you insult her in the public, you hurt her ergo and reduce her respect for you.

Take it or leave, rebuking your spouse in the public is a bad gesture. Even if you must react, it has to be friendly. When you get to your house, shout off your roof.

Our wives are our lovers, our mothers, our soul mates, our friends, our managers, our pride, our joy and our life partners.

Don't embarrass her in the Public. She's a human, not an angel.
All these your "Amebo, crying more than the bereaved" is just what it is - Trying to act sanctimoniously!

Why did you not get down immediately, as an "Act of Protest", to show that you are really against what happened?

From the confession,

1.) it is obvious that Buhari was LYING when he said the Herdsmen are LIBYANS! I hat a lying President!

2.) This Fulani Herdsmen attack are "planned operations" and has nothing to do with grazing

3.) Their is a high-powered council of Fulani elders who are bent on dominating other Nigerian tribes

4.) The murderous Fulanis in power have a way of immobilising security or making them look the other way, when these attacks are happening.

5.) The Police cannot do anything about it.... Governors of the affected states are also playing "softie' so as not to get on the wrong side of Buhari (except Mad Fayose!)

6.) More of these attacks are still going to happen very soon.

7.) Will Buhari, a Fulani, ensure that the full weight of the law be visited on the named sponsors of these TERRORIST murders?
I doubt but time will tell.

Finally, l think we Southerners must start arming ourselves, in whatever way we can.
If the Government will not protect me, l have a right to protect myself and my family

In my humble opinion Nigeria is not ripe for civilian rule. The degree of lawlessness is alarming. People wake up and agitate for anything they want & go the extra mile to destroy government apparatus installed with hard earn tax payers money. I cant see such happening in Russia, China, North Korea or Iran. There must be decency and order. If the civilians cant do it then let the military take over. We farmers, teachers, business owners, public & government workers cannot continue to watch with dismay the havoc & destruction of government installations that were procured by Tax Payers money that are suppose to serve for infrastructural development destroyed by criminals. There has never been a referendum that was successful by destruction of properties. These criminals after crippling the government will do same to every man & woman & to every business owner. Why do you think investors don't want to build their refineries in south south. These criminals don't want development & job opportunities for their communities and will bomb these refineries without considering how their people will survive without jobs. Its high time every man & woman that pays tax guard the investment they make on this country Nigeria by giving any necessary information needed for security agencies to stop this havoc. We must arise and make things work in this great nation. No foreigner will do it for us. It will not be easy but we must quit watching things go down. Time to act is now! if we want our children to see a better tomorrow. There is no bread & butter when we break & form another nation, ask sudan & south sudan and co they will tell you. Divided we fall, united we stand! God bless Nigeria!
Most of the things you said are TRUE.

The dilemma is that the military has not been True to its calling, of recent.

From the days of that criminal called Babangida, the military have been populated with criminals like Alex badeh, Brig Amosu, e.t.c
The "patriotism and discipline" that were the hallmark of the military under Soldiers like Muritala, Buhari and Idiagbon, is no longer there.

It became very bad under that clueless-President with a Fedora hat.
Even using the military to rig election!

So, until we can have a select-few of military men who will put country above self, first...... in the mold of soldiers like Flt Lt Jerry Rawlings, we are on a long thing.

But really, what we have is not democracy and politicians.
What we have are criminals everywhere (especially in the NASS) and irresponsible citizenry.

Tompolo is believed to be the chief priest of the Gbaramatu goddess. The temple is a stone throw from the invaded guest house.

agabusta:
Do not panic over Sharia court bill –Reps

The Speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, who presided over the session, had allowed the bill to scale second reading without debate on the grounds of its “sensitive” nature.

The House had also noted that since it was a constitution amendment bill, it should be referred to the Ad Hoc Committee on Constitution Review where it would be adequately discussed.

However, the passage of the bill raised fears after the term “jurisdiction” was reportedly misconstrued for expanding Sharia Law to states other than where it currently applies.

In his proposal, Salame sought to amend sections 262 and 277 of the 1999 Constitution to add “criminal” to the existing provisions.

Ogor said, “The ‘jurisdiction’ of the court referred to in sections 262 and 277 of the constitution means the powers of the court in states where it already exists, not expanding Sharia to other parts of the country, no.

“The amendment sought to these sections is to add ‘criminal’ to the existing jurisdiction it has on ‘civil litigation.’ That is the jurisdiction that is being expanded, not the expansion of Sharia Law itself.”

“Those concerned will be invited to come and give their opinions on how the added powers of the court will affect them and so on.

“Nobody is expanding Sharia to anywhere. Members of the public should not panic over this at all.”

These Islamic fanatics should STFU!

Nigeria is not a Muslim or Christian country but a SECULAR COUNTRY!

There are adherents of both faiths living in all parts of the country and as such, it is criminal to even attempt to make one of the Religions, a STATE RELIGION in any part of the federation.

Just imagine if for example, if Lagos decides it will apply "Christian laws" in the dispensation of Justice, on all residents of Lagos?
How will this be fair to Muslims living in Lagos?

These Northern Assembly members should STOP stoking religious trouble in Nigeria.

Sharia is still being tolerated on the local level but now, they want to EXPAND IT?

Dont we have enough Amputee in the country already?
How many "bug men" who looted the treasury have their Sharia-nonsense cut their limbs... or is it just a case of "Big thieves and treasury looters" make sadistic and savage laws for "small thieves"?

Whats wrong with these HEediots?

And Dogara is a Religious fanatic otherwise, while would he just pass the bill over second reading, without a debate...citing "sensitive nature"?
How can you make laws over people without a robust debate and hearing the view of others that are affected, in a plural society like Nigeria?

Every non-Muslim |(and even some Muslims) is concerned... and would you want all of them in their millions to come and defend themselves at the House of Rep?
What manner of sneaky and tricky tactics is this?

Let them know that there is no worse war than a religiously stoked war because "both sides will take it they are doing it to protect their religion".

Better these fools let "sleeping Dogs lie".

So it's the woman that is at fault here, why not blame the bleacher and jerry curler. When you see a man do these two things-there is always something under and that is what the woman ran away from.So don't insult her.

don't just blame the woman-just reverse the statement and substitute the woman with the man and see how it reads-
God is not concerned with whether you curl your hair or not ...or bleach.

God looks at your inward/inner actions, which are imprinted on your mind and in your heart.
It has nothing to do with your physical appearance.... and you cant hid such from God.

BTW: It was Anita (the wife) that filed for Divorce..... and the husband (Oyaks) even refused to divorce her (though she still went ahead and its done).

So, is it not obvious who broke the marriage?

You can "separate" from your spouse, for example in the case of violence, infidelity, e.t.c...... but Divorce is on another level. Its a final breakup of a Marriage

Anyway, the feminazzi agenda is in full display. wink

so, she should die inside to save a marriage with an unrepentant philanderer?

This is why I always advocate for a review of the Bible, the world is not as it was 20 centuries ago. The realities of today do not nreflect the realities of the days in the time of Jesus.

Even at that, I believe adultery is a ground for divorce under Christianity, so?
Why dont you go and REVIEW the Bible....... angry angry

Infact, why dont you just write another one ..... and input verses that support your pervert life-style in such "review"? undecided

Am a guy and I say this proudly. If your man beats you bounce from the marriage faster than a bullet. It's only a matter of time before he kills you.

Forget that broken marriage taboo at least you'll be alive. Better alive and printed to as a divorcee than dead and forgotten after some "eyahs" and shaken heads.

If he hits you beat it. Also take your kids. Men aren't genetically primed to look after kids. They are better off with you.
@the bolded:
If there is an EMMY AWARD for Stewpid TALK........ this one should win it! angry angry

Wetin, mofos just engage their fingers and klap-klap-klap, type rubbish!

In Fela Anikulapo Kuti's voice: Na Crase-man talk be this o,....Na Animal talk be this Ooooo.......

I boldly and proudly say: I am genetically primed to look after my own kids! And the 'results' prove me right!
