Brabus,
I just hope the bro will give us break down of the cost cos I want to know where the magic is. Though floor plans may/might be different but the physical structure and the level of both buildings as seen won't make me build that of spyder for 7.3m IF the builder of the second building his the real owner (which I blv he won't manage materials to make profit).
I have built houses (personal, so l wont be unkind to myself) over time and l can tell you 7.3M cannot build that house.

Unless sha, if they cut corners like using poor mix-rations, not using enough standard iron Rods, using those brown stones instead of Granite, using white wood for roofing, which will collapse in future, using cheap roofing material in terms of "gauge", using 50 mould per Bag Blocks grin e.t.c

Other people like Gabbytabby can wade in because l am sure this is someone who has built houses herself.

Because they are a bunch of criminals milking the people of their money, working against the interest of the same Nigerians who will shout WITCH-HUNT, if EFCC decides to move against their criminality!

Sweetyie:
Hmmmm, nothing greater than kneeling before ur maker
Hope you know that "kneeling in church" before the Pastor or before an ALTAR of raised ground decorated with Gold........ DOES NOT translate to "Kneeling before your God"? (referring to your statement)

Why do l say this?

First, God is a SPIRIT... and has "NO FORM".

For this reason, God cannot be confined to .....or determined by, a certain PLACE or SPACE.
This means GOD IS EVERYWHERE! undecided ... even in Space!

In your Room, in your Toilet, in the Bus..... jsut about EVERYWHERE, but according to him, "In HIS image we were made", So he resides mostly in our hearts!

The implication of all the above is that Majek does not need to "kneel in that church or in front of that Pastor or in front of any alter" .... to be in the presence of God.

Why did l need to highlight this?
I do observe that a lot of our people have given themselves to idol-worship, idolation and idolatry!

*They cannot pray except they get to church! Because they erroneously believe God is found only in the Church
*They cannot pray unless one Pastor prays for them or lays hand on them! Because they do not understand that God is already hearing them while inside them ...and does not need an intermediary, to hear their prayer!
*They look in awe at those people who sit on those "special seats" at the front pew of the Church and think that is the "ultimate in Christianity" whereas Jesus himself was so "nondescript" amongst his disciples.
Infact such "special seats" needs to be abolished in Churches. It is "un-christianly".
* A lot of Churches have "elevated these alters" to an idolatry form where people go and "bow down" to a wooden idol of Jesus of some Angel/Saints! God does not reside into those wooden sculptures, they no more than the same "firewood" we burn and use to cook.

Finally, you can kneel down and worship God anywhere, even in yoru Toilet and trust me, "God hears"

Kudos to thsi Pastor who found it in his heart to assist a fallen Brother.
...and Majek, abeg no smoke that thin again, biiko! Your body is the temple of God, stop abusing it

Sarhyd:
The Federal Government said on Saturday that it would stabilise the price of rice from April to make it affordable to everybody in the country.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, made this known while declaring open the 2016 National wheat farmers field day in Alkamawa village in Bunkure Local Government of Kano state.

Ogbeh said that the stability of price of rice would be very viable due to its demand and affordability to the people from April.

He said the boosting of wheat production and other cereals had become necessary to reduce over dependence on importation.

The minister added that over 300, 000 hectares of land in wheat producing states would be dedicated to boost wheat production.

``The government will continue to support farmers to encourage agricultural activity, enhance food security and employment generation in the country,’’ he said.

According to him, the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari will diversify the economy with greater emphasis on agriculture.

Ogbeh urged Nigerians to embrace agriculture to enhance their welfare and enable them become self reliant.

In a remark, Chairman Senate Committee on Agriculture, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, said the senate would make legislation to remove obstacles being faced by wheat farmers in the country.

On his part, the Gov. Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi said Kebbi would dedicate 70 per cent of the proposed 300, 000 for wheat production to boost its production.

It's shameful. For a long time my dad said ifa has no hand in picking obas anymore in yoruba culture. I thought it was a lie. This marriage has brought to light a whole lot of issues. The yoruba obaship has been bastardised on the alter of politics. Oba akiolu is another oba that isn't supposed to be on that throne in the first place. They don't even follow tradition anymore. When the wrong person is on the throne, there is bound to be problems and confusion. It is true everybody has a past but this woman's past is to strong. From what I have heard about the oba, they deserve each other. The woman or man an individual marries most of the time is a reflection of who they really are.........this is just the way life is. No hope for virtuous women.
There is a criminal "cabal of King-Makers" lead by Obasanjo who foist ignoble people on the throne in recent times.

*Tinubu as Governor, enthroned Oba Akiolu as payback for hiding him in the days when Abacha was looking for NADECO people to kill
*OBJ installed the current Alake of Abeokuta despite the old men insisting it wasn't his turn.
*OBJ and Tinubu, who have business interest in the building industry aroudn that Lekki area, installed the new Ooni of Ife, as he was the one managing their property portfolio in that area for some time now. Check out the properties that Essential Homes, owned by the Ooni, manages and research into the real owners (who are keeping a low profile, due to their criminal acquisition of wealth when in govt)

Yes, Yoruba traditional stools are gradually losing their values by the day!
Or how on earth was a Governor (say like that Thug Fayose) suppose to remove/impose an Oba on the people?
We can as well abolish it and stop wasting money on those pretenders joor.

When young people mount positions they never thought they will get to this is what you get. In the first place how did a man who cannot manage a home get up there to now mediate into normal peoples affair. Secondly, should this be his first major assignment to divorce his lovely Yoruba wife for Benin Benin woman.

Ok now they say she has been married 3 times before, O No No No, what is this, is it because she is yellow. Now see how the great throne is been demystified by bringing in strange women from other places into the palace.

This is one of the reasons why I will always like president GEJ, he remained with his wife, he didn't do like the leaders and oba, emir and governors would do by marrying a young lady over the one that suffered with them, prayed for them to make it and tolerated their excesses when they had nothing.
GEJ stayed, the more they mocked his wife the more he loved her, his opponents used the wife as a political tool for campaign he still loved her. That is the way it should be.
Not when young men that have not even started have started to change wives at this early stage, that means if he stays on the throne like his predecessor he will have a retinue of wives.
So you are not aware that GEJ has another wife, who actually bore BIOLOGICAL CHILDREN for him? You be real LEARNER! grin grin
She is a sister to Dezzianni Madueke, so you know. She is the mother of those little kids you see once in a while.

Patience has vowed to castrate GEJ if he ever mentions her publicly as his wife! That l consider very wicked of Patience...and cowardly of GEJ!
To be denying the mother of your only children, to the whole world?

Again, when a couple divorces and "irreconcilable difference" is cited, it means the divorce was so acrimonious it would be adisaster to say actually what transpired........ and to keep the kids out of the scandal.

Nothing wrong is divorcing, instead of one killing the other, it doesn't mean the man cannot manage his home (it takes husband and wife to manage a home). It also does not mean the second marriage woudl not work out, the first one may just be a BIG MISTAKE that should never has happened.

But that not withstanding, this Ooni dey feck-up big time. I expect he would take his time and look for a spinster, marry her and move on with life.
I dont expect him to carry another "Baggage" that is trailing with all sorts of 'bad stories' that bring disrepute to the throne. he appears to be "phussy-whipped" as they say!

I hope this Ooni will not bring disgrace to the foremost Yoruba throne?

Dollyak:
Are there any ways to fund local security men in Agatu? because a lot of people are willing to-or should be. In addition, what is the law in Nigeria regarding 'acquisition of weapon for security purpose'

We need people to start taking actions.
The problem here is that our LAWS say you cant carry an unlicensed weapon ... not to mention in PUBLIC.
These Fulani-Herdsmen carry AK47 openly, murder innocent people with it yet the President and our security LOOK THE OTHER WAY, just as the Security forces did in Mile 12 a few days ago, until these blood-thirsty Mallams butchered unarmed innocent people.

So, its a case of different Laws for Nigerians......a different standard for the Fulani herdsmen.

I was annoyed when the current Minister Audu Ogbeh said on Channels TV that some of these Herdsmen are not Nigerians because it begs the question: If these are foreigners, how come they are able to roam freely in Nigerian, armed with AK47, killing innocent Nigerians and our Security forces and even the President turns a blind eye? Are they above the Law?

Its even more shameful that Audu Ogbeh at his age, is suggesting "grazing corridor" all over the country, in other people's land, for so-called "foreigner Herdsmen"!
If they want to feed their Cow, why cant they plant their Brazilian grass of them in the northern part of the country or why cant Companies be licensed to plant these Grass and let the Herdsmen goto buy from them, for their Cattle feed?

How on earth does someone, because he is Fulani, feeds his Cattle on the livelihood and sweat of others (Farm Produce) while killing them in the most brutish way..... and our Govt treats them with kids glove?

Why do our Military Forces always develop "cold feet" when it comes to dealing with these Fulanis, whenever their Victims are Southerners?
Teh Mile 12 masacre is a good example!

The Police stood idle, (one Commissioner of Police even said it on YouTube that the Mallans stoned him and there is nothing he could do! Imagine?) while watching the Mallams storm homes and schools, drag students from their classes and cut them to pieces while setting other houses on fire so as to "smoke out the occupants" for slaughter!

If some Nigerians decide to be PEACEFUL and LAW ABIDING yet the "Security Forces" can not protect them from those who are LAWLESS (like these Fulani herdsmen) then its about time that all Nigerians ARM THEMSELVES and their Communities as Vigilantes.

Since Buhari became President, l have noticed a "belligerence and effrontery" in the attitude of Northerners (l have many of them living in my area, doing menial jobs) living in the Southern part of Nigeria. Its like they are saying "We have the backing of Buhari" and we can commit any atrocity!

Whether President Buhari will allow these set of blood-thirsty murderers to define his Presidency, knowing that he got the biggest support from the South West, remains to be seen.

But let us know this, every tribe can defend itself against these Fulani Herdsmen, .... ist just getting to that stage.

Firts and foremost, all State Legislators in the South should pass LAWS forbidding the "mass movement" of Cattle across our cities.
If you want to move more than a single cattle around, you must use a Vehicle,
Defaulter should be arrested, prosecuted, jailed and the Cattles confiscated.

That would be the starting point.

No foreigner Fulani Herdsmen can hold us ransom anymore. Enough is Enough

Three ways a man shows he loves a woman: he provides, protects and professes- Steve Harvey

The bolded says it all
Stop portraying women as "objects of easy virtue".
Even that phrase, "spend on her"... is derogatory! Any woman worth her salt, aside the broke-azz, material-minded ones, know what l am talking about.

My junior sister had a boyfriend (which she later married) but she insists that he cannot give her gifts worth more than she can give him... till they are married. Material things was never a factor in deciding if they would get married or not.
Infact, my sister likes to spoil him and the guy sef dey do shakara as he would refuse anything worth more than 5K from her.
He once asked her to return a birthday Wrist Watch that cost about 10K back then in 2001 ...unless she would agree that he re-imburse her.
Eventually they shared the cost between themselves....... and he found a way to spend the other half on her later.
That is how to build healthy relationship were one party is not a slave to the other.

That way, even if they broke up, he can never boast of "spending my money on her" (which is what and where it ends most time with guys), he can never regret "wasting his money on her", he can never have any sort of "hold" on her, plus it makes her walk wit her head high (dignity) and the guy knows she is with her, not for his money.

No wonder Nigerian girls dont want to go out with a poor, struggling guy.
Reminds me of Monica (Money and Car! )

On the other hand, we all preach emancipation of women, equality, respect, bla-bla-bla. How owuld a man respect you, if he already 'bought" you like a slave? angry angry
Why not flip things around and say "You are not with a Man/He is not your Man, ..if you cant spend money on him"?
See how ridiculous that sounds?

Relationships that are based on "how much you have to spend on me" are bound to make the receiving party (the woman) have LESS VALUED in the eyes of the one doing the paying (the guy).

I would rather we emphasize "SHARING" between Lovers

Come and see how my sister's husband respects her so much, even till today!

Well, l can understand for women from extremely poor background who see a Boyfriend as a "Meal Ticket" and ladder to good things of life!
"Gold-Digger" is a very, very bad insult for a woman.
God punish Poverty and lack of Dignity.

Most marriages fail within the first five years of getting married. If your marriage can survive those first five years, it will likely survive for a long time.

Trust me, no marriage is perfect!
But with time, couples will gradually stabilize and overcome their challenges, once they are honest with, and respect each other. not to phuck-up! grin grin

Most importantly, dont bring "personal ego" into your marriage, it will crash it.
Apologise to your spouse when you do wrong.
Appreciate your wife (commend her regularly), even though she is not perfect.
Respect your husband and appreciate the little he does, he will always want to do better!

There is no "golden formula" that can make marriage work.

"Big Holla" to all those couples who can keep it together.

Hmmmm. Be wise my dear. Don't blindly dig ur own grave. I won't mince words as it seems u rly need someone to jolt you out of ur reverie with the bitter truth. I have been in ur shoes before, I stayed hoping things would get better, it wasn't until I was battered once more that I came to my senses that a man ain't rly worth dying for. He even stated it already that he WL give u double d previous slap, what other clarification do u want darling?

The handwriting is clearly written on the wall...leave him before your story becomes that of the Ibadan lady that murdered her husband owing to accumulated hurts.

Abo oro lan so fun omoluabi... Toba denue a di odindin..
I like hearing this type of stories! He broke my eye, ...broke my arm,.... broke my head and even battered my 'bweast'! He is a beast and devil combined! shocked shocked

Oya, please tell us what you did that made him batter you over and over again! grin grin
I just dont like 'one-sided stories' that paint one man as "evil", ....especially when he is not around to defend himself.

Gist us the "full gist" naah! grin grin grin

I dislike these set of people on social media the "your english is not good enough" for the following reason
1. They never offer specific corrections
2. They fail to understand that inteligence is not by English
3. They love to show themselves yet they cannot get English Teacher job in any average private school because they fail both in the aptitude test and interview woefully. Traditional language ti take over if you want to show you English expertise sambissa is not far the people there need you more.
Why should it be so difficult to write 'Correct English", if you want to publish something, in a forum that communicates in English?
Stop making excuses for poor knowledge of the Language, it is still Nigeria's official language .....and taught in every school within Nigeria, so how come some people just cant learn?

Common mistakes are still permissible but outright "gbagaun" is undesirable.
grin

Instead of blaming people trying to correct/educate the poster, advice the poster to get good books like 'First Aid in English', 'Lexis and Structure', e.t.c..... books that can improve your spoken and written English.

I dont want to see a Graduate speaking horrible English, yet want to be employed as a Customer Service officer! undecided undecided

"This generation" sef, may be they would one day write JAMB in Vernacular! huh huh angry angry

henergygirl:
I met this guy in 2010 when i went on a visit to see my aunt. It was an on and off relationship though.......during the course of this relationship, he slapped me and there was another time i was hospitalized, he came and left without offering to pay for the bills knowing fully well dat i had spent much on the sickness already..
Recently he called and said he wants to settle down and apologised for his past behaviour saying it was because he has this trust issue with ladies but he said he is trying to change........i said fine, he's even planning to come and see my family in June. But two days ago, i needed to clear the air on something so i asked him via whatsapp that my girlfriend wants to divorce the husband because he slapped her and he condemned the act saying it could lead to battery if proper measure is not taken. I also asked him that my friend's husband left her in d hosptal when she was hospitalized saying she has family so they should pay d bill. He found out that i was referring to him but his reply was that he should have given me two more slaps as prescribed and y would he pay the hospital bill when i was taking advice from my girlfriend....
Pls dear nlanders mature advise pls. Help a confused sister.

Mods, please front page
You see, they say "Marriage is likened to NIGHT MARKET"........ until you enter, you can never be 100% sure what it is and how it will turn-out.

Seriously, did you even consider that the guy might be broke or going through some financial distress, when he came to see you in the hospital? Yet you think it is your "God-given Right" that he must pay your hospital Bills (for an off-On relationship that you cannot swear both of you were not doing some kpekus with someone else!).

This is what l dont like about "some" women!
They assume because they are "women" (and have that thing), a man should just become clairvoyant and pander to all their wishes! Men too have NEEDS, for Christ sake!
At least, he came to visit you in the hospital, that shows he cares.

Now, he has slapped you once (we dont know what led to it though) but l can assure you that if the event that led to it happened again, he would likely slap you again. He could be the type of person that is temperamental and reacts when provoked.

But where you goofed is trying to "form CIA" on him.
I am sure when he realised you were taking him for a ride by pretending it happened to your girlfriend, when you are actually referring to your relationship with him, he got Mad! (I would too) .......... and called your bluff!

He may not necessarily mean what he said but he is giving you the "middle finger" and saying in Oshiomole's voice: Go and Die! grin

Verdict: Dont marry him.
You dont trust him, you dont believe him....and now you have also sowed the seeds of doubt in his own mind.

It wont work, l dont want to hear another sad-story here in a a few months time.

Like: My loving husband is a beast! he slaps me whn we are making love! grin grin

BTW: Dont let me see you trying to collect money/gift from him henceforth, .....now that you know you should not marry him o.
You know he can slap wella-wella. undecided
