Steel production is heavy duty stuff you can't easily convey by the roads, hence the railways. What is idiotic about this? Ignore that clown. Ofodirinwa: Connect 6 unproductive economically dead cities via trillium n Nair's rail project. Continue. Keep exposing your ignorance. The easiest way to open up a rural community or an agrarian one, is to provide good roads, rail systems and various modes of transport. It is known as provision of 'access,' or facilitating 'accessibility.' That is what opens the eyes of travellers and commodity traders, to the potentials of such areas. Before you know it, the places you thought were 'dead,' would start thriving, and become centres of commerce. Not only that, by linking those rural areas to commercial townships and capital cities, you reduce travel time between those locations. People might decide to build houses in those rural areas and commute into town on a daily basis, courtesy of the railway services and/or roads, that now pass through there. How did areas like Mararaba, Karu, Nyanya etc develop? Were they not rural dead areas on the outskirts of Abuja, that got opened up due to the network of roads passing through those places? It became cheaper for workers to live there, and commute to the Abuja city centre on a daily basis. Compare those districts now, with they way they used to be 5-10 years ago, and you would see a massive difference. Finally, the railway track or line has to pass through certain communities or areas, because it is being constructed on land and not in the air. So no matter how you dislike the thought, some communities that you feel are 'dead areas,' would still have to host the railway tracks, because it cannot be built in outer space.
You need to focus on the bigger picture, as this same railway line would connect Delta State straight to the Middle Belt, and eventually to Abuja, while reducing pressure on the bad roads in that axis. Passengers would no longer have to suffer while commuting through those bad roads, as there would now be a better alternative. |

gidgiddy: This has nothing to do with staying in Nigeria after Biafra, this is about bursting the age old myth that Biafrans will have no right to stay in Nigeria. Citizenship by birth/parentage cannot be revoked, it is the only reason why you are a Nigerian. It cannot be removed for the Biafrans either.
This is why many Eritreans still use Ethiopian passports despite Eritrea leaving Ethiopia more than 20 years ago.
Citizenship by birth cannot be revoked You are a joker of gargantuan proportions. You want to create your own country by breaking away from Nigeria, yet you still want to retain Nigerian citizenship? I laugh in my native dialect.... What holds for Eriteria does not hold for other countries. Citizens of Ukraine cannot lay claim to Russian citizenship, even if they were born in Russia. Do not allow long throat to kill you.... |

This people-moving drone has completed more than 1,000 test flights | The flying taxi could soon be spotted in Dubai and Las Vegas. By Jeffrey Lin and P.W. Singer
Most drones are small, and carry nothing except cameras. But Ehang Corp, a major Chinese drone maker, has been busy testing its Ehang 184 flying taxis, a drone designed to transport people. It's now completed more 1,000 test flights with and without passengers, as CNN reports.
Ehang burst onto the international scene at CES in Las Vegas in 2016, promising a dream of personal robotic transportation by drone. Now it looks like it's made good on its promise, with more tests to follow in Dubai and Las Vegas. Importantly, the 1,000-plus flights have involved a broad range of conditions, including traveling in inclement conditions.
Built with carbon fiber panels and lightweight aluminum frame, the Ehang 184 uses the latest in battery tech, airframe construction, and electric motors.
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/i3i4BBJjzw4/hqdefault.jpg
With eight electrically-powered rotors, the Ehang 184 can fly for 10 miles at speeds of up to 80 mph or more—a handy way to hypothetically beat the traffic to airports in places like New York, Las Vegas, and Shanghai. One hang-up: it's meant for just one passenger, though it's been stress-tested with a payload of 500 pounds. Another hang-up: it can only carry people and cargo for 23 minutes.
The Ehang 184 debuted at CES in 2016. The key to the Ehang 184's operations is its automated flight system; its flight computer pulls data from onboard sensors and uses satellite navigation to chart the safest path. If damaged, it's designed to make a controlled descent to safe ground.

The Ehang 184 is one of several serious passenger drone companies looking to take to the skies—Airbus is another contender. While automated passenger drones would make urban commuting easier (at least initially for anyone who can afford to ride—travel like this tends to be pricey), the flight performance and AI behind them could revolutionize retail logistics. Chinese retailer JD, for instance, is experimenting with payload delivery drones that can lift up to one ton. And drones like this also have military potential for uses in situations like carrying supplies, evacuating personnel, and transporting special forces.

Politics › Re: With Biafran Independence, biafrans Will Be Able To Live Anywhere In Nigeria by LaudableXX: 1:09am On Jul 27, 2018 |
gidgiddy: I'm here today to burst this myth which many Nigerians have that should Igbos and some other tribes in the south of Nigeria become independent as Biafra, they will lose their right to live in Nigeria. Some even said that there will be mass deportation of Biafrans back to their home land and that the government will have the right to seize their properties and assets.
None of these things will be possible because all Biafrans will have 'retained rights of Nigerian citizenship'
In layman's terms, all the Biafrans will still hold Nigerian citizenship despite being Biafrans and a Nigerian cannot be deported from Nigeria. The constitution gives 4 ways by which an individual can become a Nigerian citizen.
1) By Birth: Anyone born after October 1st 1960 in any territory of Nigeria automatically becomes a citizen
2)Parentage: Anyone who has either parents or Grand-parents are Nigerians or who's either parents or Grand-parents were born in any Nigerian territory, before or after October 1st 1960 is a citizen.
The other two ways of being a Nigerian citizen is by registration and naturalization but these are not as important as the first two. The Nigerian constitution also states that the only way a person can renounce their Nigerian citizenship is for them to apply directly to the President of Nigeria, and only if the President agrees.
It is virtually Impossible to enact a law that will retroactively strip people of their right of citizenship by birth or parentage. If this is done, not even Buhari will be able to prove he is a citizen of Nigeria.
So please, in the event that Biafra becomes independent, all Biafrans will still hold Nigerian citizenship, as stated by the constitution of Nigeria, and live anywhere in Nigeria they like. You people are the greatest jokers that ever liveth. You want Biafra, but you do not want to leave Nigeria?? I laugh in my native dialect. So you think if Biafra is formed today, Nigeria cannot ammend its constitution to exclude Biafrans from claiming Nigerian citizenship? You chaps are highly deluded! AZeD1: It does. 1) Citizenship can be revoked 2) The constitution can be changed to disallow dual citizenship. So the moment you become a Biafran you automatically loose your Nigerian citizenship.
You are free to continue your campaign for Biafra but this theory you are pushing won't fly. raumdeuter: Go and ask Bosnians or Croats if they can claim to be citizens of Serbia again
Or go and ask citizens of Ukraine, Latvia, Uzbekistan if they can claim to be Russians again
A little education is all you need
The moment you secede, you have a limited time to relocate to your region or else become an illegal and are removable by customs and immigration.

It's her loss really, she outsmarted herself over peanuts. Maybe she would have gained a whole lot more than that if all ended well or if she behaved herself. N5k is just a regular low key beer session. Nothing to feel smart about. Don't mind all these small-small chaps that are barely out of their diapers, trying to form big boy, here. Was he expecting her to pay for the meal?? My own take is this - stick to your level. If you know you are too broke to take a babe out on a date, then buy just 400 naira suya and 2 bottles of coke, sit under a tree with her and gist. Nothing spoil. |

Some Ladies go beyond this to foot bills and subsequently offer aids when you perform erratically in bed.
Nothing makes marriage more interesting than getting married to a LADY with targets, dreams, reasonably source of income yet respectful and beautiful.
Please tell me where u can find such in Nigeria, because that’s almost impossible. Meanwhile they are ubiquitous in diaspora. All they need from u, is TRUST. Spoken like a true male gigolo!
