UNITY BEGGAR! The states calling for your Biafra are your 5 southeastern states, and the Igbo-speaking groups in Delta and maybe Rivers. Dokubo does not speak for all the ethnic groups in the Niger-Delta. Maybe his own Kalabari militants will listen to him. But no non-Igbo Niger-Delta ethnic group will follow you into your misadventure. Now, carry your stuvpidity elsewhere, IPOB-beggar! |

The woman should not have put the house under her name alone irrespective of whether she built the house alone or not. Who was the one that was married with a bride price? A lot of men becoming sisi! Among all the male species, why is man becoming the weakest? No wonder the life expectancy of men is much lower than women cos men are refusing to take charge of their domain. Very annoying sisi everywhere What on earth are you saying? The woman has offered to put their joint names on the property, but the man refused saying ONLY his own name must be on the property. That is so unfair, considering the value of her own contribution. Well he has left the house. If he makes the mistake of divorcing her over this issue, he will marry a she-devil who would not only be a leech on him, but would make his life miserable. Karma is real. |

Has anyone come across one of the recipients Buhari, Tinubu and APC can lie for Africa Let me pardon your ignorance. You probably were not born in the days when the Nigeria Airways was fully operational, and ran multiple scheduled flights across Africa, Europe and even as far as some Asian countries. Till today, people can still remember names of their famous captains like Bob Hayes, Dele Ore, Bara Allwell-Brown, Paul Thahal & Co. Don't forget that Nigeria Airways was an organisation, with assets, staff, equipment, offices and properties, which can still be identified in some places, even till today. It is not a state with local governments, councils and amorphous citizens whose demographics, are unknown. Nigeria Airways had (and still has) a very strong union, that has agitated for the payment of its members benefits over the years, and their staff details are all with them. How come all those who worked for Nigeria Airways offices abroad, were paid in full, but the ones who served here locally were not paid? Was it that they knew the names of the Nigeria Airways staff based abroad, but they developed amnesia when it came to the local staff? Oga, when govt wants to do something they can do it, except if they are just not interested. There are multiple sources to get details on ex-Airways staff. So don't worked up. You can keep the sarcastic remarks about poor people, to yourself. Don't forget " Those who mock the poor insult their Maker." Prov.17v5 |

She also clearly articulated a few other things she plans to tackle, once she gets into the national assembly. The question is where will the boys go to? I always believe in processes, if we don’t focus on processes we are wasting our time.We have to take a closer look at the Almajiri schools, who is running them, do we have a board in place to make sure that things are being ran properl? This is over 5 million children that we talking about so we need to make sure there is a process and channel where these children can be taken proper care of. I really pray she wins a seat in the assembly. But knowing the patriarchal nature of the Kaduna elite, and the fact that some idi'ots are benefiting from the Almajiri system, she would find it difficult to scale through. Anyway, I hope & pray she wins, and her plans are not thwarted by undesirable elements and their selfish interests. |

Iamgrey5: This makes no sense at all..
How will they be able to make the payments to the people who actually worked for it ?
How are we sure these payments won't be swallowed by politicians?
In addition, the national carrier had been redundant and unproductive for years before it was actually liquidated, which was the main disagreement the government had with them back then, So the government of the day didn't believe they merit the payments.
Anyways, some people will be rich at the end of the day sha If they kept proper records of Nigeria Airways staff, payroll details and their documentation, then it would be easy to conduct a verification exercise to determine those who are entitled to receive such benefits. But this is Nigeria. We are poor at record keeping, documentation and archiving. |

Blue3k: Btw did you notice they want to keep adding more river ports. The next one is going to be Benue apperently. This MD needs to be sat down and interviewed.
Fixed title. If truly all the river ports can become operational, more attention would turn to our waterways. There would be less pressure on our roads, from the long-distance haulage trucks and trailers, that congest our highways. By now, there should be intense efforts to put in place ferries, barges and mid-size vessels which can navigate these waterways & convey goods and passengers, to each of these ports. It would open up commerce along the riverine communities, while travel time could also be cut in half. Like I always ask: Why can't there be a regular scheduled ferry service linking Lagos to Warri & Port-harcourt? |

Nobody knows what the overall start up cost will be...estimates are what they are.. estimates
The government only informed us about how much they will invest to get the deal rolling NOT how much the overall start up cost will be. it is difficult to estimate because of the ever changing business environment.
The deal would have in my opinion be made more transparent if the government has come out with a definitive list of investors and how much they are asking and willing to contribute..there's no need for the secrecy.
Once again the onus is on the government to prove Chike obi wrong.. his argument is based solely on the scant details provided by the government Another great submission. Thank you, Kmariko. |

obailala: Nope, I'm not trying to save any face, I'm still just trying to get simple education into your repellent skull. And yes you're right, I've been chasing you around the thread and the reason was cos I was just too shocked and embarrassed that a person with such command of English (which to a large extent depicts 'literacy') could not just read and comprehend a simple piece first before jumping to respond with attacks; I was obviously frustrated by your slow comprehension skills, so no thanks to you for that.
Like I said from the start of the thread, the thing sensible people do when they are availed with limited info is to ask more questions and seek for more details, not jumping to conclusions and passing pointless obviously prejudiced judgements. All I did on this thread was wonder why so many folks including yourself did not think it was necessary to first of all ask questions before proceeding to the all too familiar point of bashing. Like seriously, what sound person passes judgement before getting details if not for the many unbaked characters one meets online in Nigeria?
Meanwhile, he still keeps talking of Nigeria Air's valuation being flawed even though on the other hand, he admits he has no clue on the details of the deal; talk of premium buffoonery! And of course the classic comeback when you point out this poor logic is the accusation that "you are defending A or B"

Learn to stop being unnecessarily paranoid and feeling the need to fight everyone you meet online. FYI, I did not say Nigerians had no right to ask questions, as a matter of fact, I repeatedly said the exavt opposite of that.
If only you had the littlest ability to comprehend before jumping to needless arguments, you would have noticed that the very first point I made on this thread (and which I've been trying to make) was that the right thing to do at this stage was to ASK QUESTIONS and get info so as to enable a more informed discussion on the topic, as opposed to just cropping up assumptions, assumptions, and then jumping to judgement and condemnation based on mere assumptions. Hehehe.....so this is how you are trying to save face, ba? Nobody is arguing with you, so stop deluding yourself. You are the one that has been chasing around my posts on this thread, repeatedly quoting me with your inane remarks. You first tried to muzzle any alternative views, by claiming nobody had a right to make comparisons between established airlines and Nigerian Air, which does not exist. Now, you have turned round to say something else. You are still splitting hairs trying to defend the indefensible, even when sane minds have pointed out the futility of your line of argument. Keep consoling yourself with your inane comments, while the rest of us keep laughing at your clueless attempts to defend Nigeria Air's valuation! Now, how many times do I have to repeat myself that you should stop quoting me in your lame responses? Na by force?

The assets that AMCON owns are the loans that those companies incurred. By virtue of its enabling laws, AMCON cannot just buy shares in a company - it buys up bad loans on behalf of banks and creditors, then tries to turn such companies around, to ensure the creditors get paid. Please read the main crux of the article you quoted: AMCON Plans Sale of Arik, Aero, PAN, Others in 2018 For that reason, he said, AMCON was determined to pursue every obligor in its book with all the powers the laws avail AMCON to deal with each and every one of them especially the 350 debtors of AMCON who account for almost 80 per cent of the over N5 trillion huge debt burden, which must be recovered because AMCON borrowed to purchase the Eligible Bank Assets (EBAs) during the first and second phases when it bought over the bad loans from the banks.
He continued: “Like I said earlier, we will deal with some of those key assets very soon like the Peugeot Nigeria Limited in Kaduna, CDL, Aero Contractors, Arik Air and a host of others. But I must tell you, as we close in on these individuals and entities that owe us, I want you to know that they will call us names, they will blackmail us, they will threaten us, malign and harass us. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/06/07/amcon-plans-sale-of-arik-aero-pan-others-in-2018/ |
Politics › Re: Former AMCON CEO's Tweet About $300m Nigeria Air Is Misleading And Mischievous by LaudableXX: 6:46pm On Jul 22, 2018 |
AZeD1: Aero and Arik is currently owned by the government, if the government was serious about creating an airline, the simple thing to do is merge the two, rebrand and sell equity. That way, you already have a functioning airline from day one with planes and the likes, all the new investors need to do is improve. Aero and Arik is NOT owned by govt. Government did not buy any of their shares, neither did it invalidate the existing ownership structure of those airlines. The govt agency AMCON is merely managing them, in order to turn their operations around and ensure their creditors get paid. How much shares does federal govt own in both airlines? Nothing! Once their debts are sorted, the owners will take over daily management of their airlines' operations again. |

obailala: This man clearly still does not understand the futulity of comparing something he knows nothing about with something else whose facts and figures can be verified. It seems you're just more interested in 'winning an online argument' without even paying attentionto what's being talked about.
Nigeria air is in the conceptual stage. A figure of $300million has been mentioned. Neither you nor I can confirm if this $300m represents 5% of the full proposed investment or if the $300m is the full figure. We both do not also know the proposed fleet size of the new airline, and we do not even have details of the proposed travel destinations. In summary, we both do not have any details of the proposed airline (correct me if I'm wrong on this).
So if we all acknowledge that we do not have details on the proposed airline, vis a vis its fleet size, type of planes, travel destinations etc, then on what basis are you and Mustafa Chike Obi comparing an 'UNKNOWN' to Virgin Atlantic to arrive at your conclusion that its value is suspicious?....
How exactly is this my point so difficult to understand to warrant your subtle jabs? Didn't I ask you not to quote me again, with your inane comments? Mustafa Chike-Obi made a comparison. So did a few of us, here. And you want to muzzle our views, by claiming that nobody has a right to make comparisons, because the total details of the proposed airline are unknown? If the details are unknown, what informed their start-up figure of 300 million USD? How did they arrive at that figure? How did they arrive at the 5% shares, that is expected to be Nigeria's equity shareholding? Are you saying Nigerians have no right to ask questions? Oga, if dem send you come, tell dem say you no find me....I cannot agree with your views. And I am not interested in winning anything. Just get off my mentions. I have made my views known and I stand by them. If it upsets you too much.... then too bad!
