Take it easy with your lies, abeg. So Chief O.B. Lulu-Briggs who is the founder and chairman of Moni Pulo Limited, an oil exploration and production company, that was awarded its first oil block in 1992 under Babangida, is not from the Niger-Delta? Their oil well OML 114, produces 10,000 barrels per day, o! He was listed in Forbes in 2012, as having a networth of 500 million USD. Or Uduimo Itsueli who owns Dubri Oil and was awarded an oil block OPL 96 in 1987, isn't he from the Niger-Delta? Or isn't Ebitimi Banigo who owns SunTrust Oil, another exploration and production company with equity interest in Umusadege Oil Field, from the Niger-Delta? There are several other Niger-Deltans with oil blocks, o! Do your research, please! |

Sarkin: Nigeria is the only country that will grant oil blocs to private individuals. Such nonsense. Are you for real? Which private individual? The license for the oil block was granted to her firm known as Famfa Oil, a limited liability company established to prospect and carry out commercial trade in the oil sector. So what are you talking about? Even Mobil Oil company was founded by an individual. It was formerly known as Standard Oil Trust Company which was formed in 1863 by John D. Rockefeller. The name was later changed to Mobil. |

In SE Statistically, one out of every four industries belongs to an individual from Anambra and one out of every importer or exporter is from Anambra. We also know that one out of every five successful business man or woman is from Anambra. Can you imagine the magnitude of that investment if we can just channel just 10 per cent of that home? We would create massive employment, we would create massive mentorship for the young ones and we would have a society that will be the envy of all. Stella Oduah. Hmmmn....interesting! The same Stella Oduah who is advocating that people should repatriate their assets, investments and businesses back to the Southeast region, has the bulk of her investments & businesses still firmly located in the Southwest. Are you all seeing what I am seeing? This woman is smart. Her philosophy is 'Do as I say,' and not 'Do as I do.' Her businesses are still thriving in the SW, making money for her. There are no plans to move them to the SE, any time soon.... |

....She argued that Anambra State is safer than Lagos State, pointing out that the international airport in Enugu provides access to international markets.
She added that the state is putting enabling environment for its people to come and invest, stressing that there are tax incentives in place to encourage investments.
“Most importantly there is security: we have better security in Anambra than you have in Lagos. In Anambra you do not have violence like you have in Lagos.
“We have lacuna on infrastructure; rail, airports and so on, but then the state is in joint venture to build the cargo airport.
“Above all we have in Enugu, Enugu has an international market so you can export. ..... Please what is this woman talking about? The same international airport, where her contractors did a substandard job under her watch as Aviation Minister? |

FAAN completes repairs of Enugu Airport runway | 22 January 2018 | 2:12 pm | The Guardian Newspapers |
The repair of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, runway has been completed, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said in Lagos on Monday.
Mrs Herrienta Yakubu, the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the runway is now open for full operations following its completion.
She said FAAN’s team of engineers led by the Managing Director, Mr Saleh Dunoma, inspected the project and certified it as meeting the required standards.
Yakubu apologised to travellers and other stakeholders for the inconveniences caused by the partial closure of the runway, to pave way for its rehabilitation.
NAN reports that the first phase of the repairs was executed from Dec. 14 to Dec. 21, 2017 while the second phase started from Dec. 27, 2017 to Jan. 4.
During the period, the airport was open for operation only between 7.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. to enable the contractor to use the working hours to do the job to ensure a “stable and even surface” of the runway.
The project was, however, delayed for a few days before the runway was finally opened for full flight operations. https://guardian.ng/business-services/aviation-business/faan-completes-repairs-of-enugu-airport-runway/ |

Maybe her colleague is not well informed. Rickyuzzy: This senators tire me, where they not the same peeps that slashed the budget to work on this airport from 2.5bn to 500million... Politics › Re: Ex-nysc Director: Graduate Cannot Apply For Exemption by LaudableXX: 1:41am On Jul 12, 2018 |
He doesn't know what he is talking about. If you need an exemption, then you are asked to write a letter of request and given a form to fill. You are also asked to attach supporting documents to your form (e.g. marriage/birth certificate, academic certificates, etc). This can be done through your school. These days, the form can be completed online and supporting documents uploaded as well, before going to the NYSC office for physical verification. The NYSC authorities will then respond by giving you a letter/document exempting you from the scheme, if your reasons are genuine and fall into the categories that qualify you for exemption. Since when has the process changed? |

safarigirl: you are obviously mentally dim, because you concluded that Jude and Paul are in the right as well. Like I said, it is only a fool that concludes based solely on what two aggrieved parties say.
Even King Solomon after listening to aggrieved parties, used actions to make his judgment. Or have you forgotten that he figured who owned the baby by asking that the child be killed. It was the woman who showed most care that he adjudged the true mother. If he had only listened to them, he would have been just a fool because a good liar spins the best tales. Even with your own analogy, you played yourself, because your sense is obviously at beginners level
Please, I did not address you to begin with. It was you who brought your dimwitted self into my mentions after I made an observation.

Before you say Jack Robinson, they are already at the accident point. They merit all the praise people are showering them. No sir, the ones on Lekki-Epe expressway are the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) people who own the toll-gates on the express. But the LRU people are really working. They have emergency ambulances and paramedics, as well. I saw them bringing in burn victims to the Trauma and Burns Centre in LASUTH at Gbagada, last year. They were courteous, professional and fast, as they brought in the victims on stretchers, and handed them over to the doctors. |

vivaciousvivi: Ok, here is my deal. I don't believe one should measure success (or a person's claim as successful) simply because they don't fall under a certain acceptable industry or reached a certain level of academic excellence or purported intelligence. Now I am just typing generally. I am not saying that is your genuine school of thought. I am going somewhere pls.
Let's take Laura for example (whom I am not even sure that I personally like - but that's not the issue here), to me fits the bill of success or "boss lady". She may have gotten some financial aid from big sis to start but she is a hard worker. She started a dance school after NYSC, is a published author (her first book sold out), she started a clothing line from scratch, mentors at various secondary schools and still find time to be a mom and wife and she isn't showing signs of slowing down. There are so many others that would have just chilled to bask in the limelight (and enjoy spending ) of big sis fame and fortune.
Area of specialty and industry should not negate value of a person in the eyes of society. We all contribute in our own ways and that is probably why the organizers of this particular event chose a variegated group of women. Such is the cue adopted by Vogue and Time Magazine in their "people of the year" issues as well. My humble opinion. Laura Ikeji's book sold out? Just how many copies did it sell? Where, when and how? If book sales was all it took to be rated as successful, then the likes of Sefi Attah, Chimamanda Adichie, Chris Abani, Lola Shoneyin, Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani etc whose different books have been sold in thousands, in different parts of the world, and have been translated into different languages, would beat her achievement, hands down! Started a clothing line from scratch? I am trying hard not to laugh. Too many people have done that. She owns a small boutique of less than 20 square metres in one location in Lekki area of Lagos Island, and you call that starting a clothing line? Where is the innovation in that? Almost every business woman or trader has been there, done that, and even gotten the T-shirt when it comes to clothing lines. Why do we like to glorify hype, in this country? What would you call Deola Sagoe's achievements then, if you are busy hyping Laura's small boutique? The real pioneers of clothing lines have not even been mentioned, yet. Abeg, make una call another person name. Laura never start business.... |

Vickygarl: Thw write-up shows that she was conscious enough to refuse to be operated on and if the husband or her next of kin had given a consent, this story won't be here. Isn't that what everyone is saying? What is your beef? She refused to give consent for the operation. But in another country, the operation may have taken place, because even though she was conscious, she was not capable of making a logical decision. So consent would have been sought from other quarters (e.g. medical insurance company etc). |
