In the case of the former, if the father contributes the 'A' part of his genotype* and the mother contributes the 'S' part, point mutation can have that 'A' part entirely deleted! Of cuz this would be an unfavourable mutation but it doesn't always happen like that. Point mutation can as well make you super intelligent or make you white even when u have a black dad. (Favourable mutation) as expressed in this kids.
