What employees go through in the hands of some employers in Nigeria is something worth writing about. So pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I remembered when I working at Allen & living at Iju àxis on 25k salary. My Boss went to his Village to lavish money in December & my school fees deadline was ,26th. He paid me a sum of 20k as salary. I wept that day. He's now contesting in Akwa-Ibom. So many things I can talk about |
Many of you are legitimately going to end up like your parents: waste the opportunity to built yourself a retirement safety net,and then preying on your children to "do well in life" not for their sake really, but because you want them to have enough to take care of you when you're old. Many of your parents couldnt give you a better quality life AND cant take care of themselves without relying on your meager resources because they wasted the spoils of their youth taking care of siblings who today "face their front" and do not give a F about you and your problems.Take care of you family, take care of your parents. But remember, REMEMBER, mind the source FIRST. Be sure the water pump is primed with water always so it doesn't go dry. Don't waste your youthful earning on "family" and be bitter at 70. That's a sad way to live out your days. For those of you who are dumb and will misconstrue this to mean, "don't do anything for people who did everything for you", go ahead and tear your panties. You're welcome. |

*2023 ELECTION: THE USE OF NEW MACHINE—BVAS* This is an important message that we must all read and forward to our people and groups. 1. INEC will be using BVAS (Bimordal Verification Accreditation System) in the coming General Election. It is replacing the Smart Card Reader used in previous General Elections from 2015. 2. It means before anyone with a PVC is allowed to cast his vote—the person must be accredited with the help of the BVAS Machine. If the person is not accredited, he will not be allowed to vote. 3. The BVAS accreditation will be through thumbprint and Facial Expression. It means, once a voter’s thumb is placed on the machine, the person’s information on the INEC portal will pop up. If the thumbprint doesn’t work, the BVAS machine will be placed across the person’s face to capture his image-once, it is captured by the machine, the person’s information will pop up and such voter will be accredited to vote. 4. The advantage of the BVAS is that it reduces rigging and electoral malpractices considerably. Now, a voter must be verified that he is the owner of the card before he will be accredited to vote. It is now one man, one vote. 5. This BVAS Machine has been used in different Bye and State Elections i.e. Delta State, Anambra State Gubernatorial Election 2021, FCT Council Election in February, and the recent concluded Ekiti State Gubernatorial Election. *THE MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE BVAS MACHINE.* We ran a thorough research on the functionality of the BVAS machine through the reports received from the places it has been used so far for elections. It’s just a common problem that was discovered: the BVAS machine couldn’t successfully accredit many voters through their facial expressions. Thus, many voters even with their PVCs were disenfranchised in those elections. This issue affect particularly the aged people and those whose PVCs were given in 2010/2011, 2014/2015. The BVAS couldn’t successfully connect their present images with the ones uploaded years back during the registration processes. We need to put a preventive measure in place now so that our people won’t be disenfranchised in the 2023 General Election. *SOLUTION* 1. I would advise that those whose cards were given 2010/2011, 2014/2015, 2018/2019 should do revalidation which means they should upload their current images on the INEC Registration Portal. 2. The Voter’s Cards from 2010/2011 does not expire. It is permanent. So, you won’t be given a new card if you do revalidation, it only means you have uploaded your recent picture for accreditation purpose in the coming election. *Orientation/sensitization alone without fervent prayers might not yield maximum output.* l thereby encourage all our front liners that this game is not for the swift but rather to them that desire a dramatic change in our political system. Isaiah. 66:8 - * *8.Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.* |
What scam has become so normalized that people don't even notice it? Companies hiring social media managers and expecting them to do photography, videography, graphic design, copywriting, brand strategy, monitor metrics, host YouTube, make tiktok dances. The work of an entire marketing team, w/little to no pay |

Do not judge please! I am married and live in Ilorin with my husband and two girls. However,I have a son whom I had before I got married. My Son lives with my mother in another part of the town in Ilorin and he is now a teenager. The story we told him was that I got pregnant for a boyfriend who didnt want the pregnancy. I was sixteen years old and we were both young and foolish. It is true that we were sixteen at the time, young and foolish but I didnt get pregnant by any boyfriend. I got pregnant by my Uncle whom I was living with in Lagos. When it happened,I was rushed home to avoid anyone finding out and causing the family a huge scandal. We tried to have an abortion but that failed as I was far too long into the pregnancy,it was almost six months. I didnt know as I was like i said, young and foolish. My Uncle actually convinced me to sleep with him several times so I could continue to live with them in Lagos and not be chased back to the village. I did that until I got pregnant |

Guys, people have problems. I won't lie. I have seen it many times, every day. In daylight and darkest nights. I have seen people discussing their problems. I have listened to folks dieing in silence because they had no solution at sight. But these are business owners. They are entrepreneurs who want to make more money. They are startups, small business owners, and local businesses who need more reach and more revenues. People who just want to leverage people to double their profits and hit their targets. But you have the solutions. Maybe you don't know. Your solution is the logo and banner you design everyday. The solutions to their problems are the content, Facebook ads copies, resumes and cover letters you write for fun. These people have money to spend. They are jostling around, running between north and south. They are, everyday, looking for you. But you are nowhere to be found. When they are in oyingbo waiting for you, you are in Okeho chasing clout. When they press the ON button, you remove the battery. The more they try to reach you, the more disinterested you become in helping them. They have the problems, you have the solutions. Why are you denying yourself an opportunity to put smile on someone's face? If not for anything, then it should be for the mula involved. |
We may have experienced one thing or the other while carrying out our activities in work places owned by foreign (Chinese, Indians, Lebanese, American, British etc) individuals and we definitely must have experienced either sweet or harsh conditions. As for me, my Boss is fond using the statements below which she is always serious with- 'Nigeria has plenty workers (many jobless people looking for jobs), if you cannot work, collect your salary and go!' In cases like this, i just try to put in my best and make sure i seek better opportunities. I have also noticed that they (Chinese) have no job descriptions for their jobs, you are made to work in all departments at once or at intervals and some do not have a well described closing time. Also, they do not care your dressing type, just do your job diligently and seriously. Kindly share yours |

Not to discourage anyone here but if you don't have any legit connect, forget about this recruitment. If you watch how the APC chairman emerged, you will get my drift. I wish you guys the best. |
