IFA and Ebo

As the saying goes 'Imule loogun'. Charms and magic are based or inaugurated on agreements'. The IUPAC nomenclature of Chemistry is also based on agreement or imule and that is why scientists worldwide use the same IUPAC nomenclature. It is the same in Ifa. All the sixteen signs are imule, the order of seniority of odus used inside any temple is imule. Not different at all from what is obtainable in different sectors of science. Without imule and many Awos cascading on each other, the system would collapse. This is what is meant in the saying 'Awo ni ngbe Awo ni igbonwon, bi Awo ko ba gbe Awo ni igbonwon, Awo a te, bi Awo ko ba gbe Awo ni igbonwon Awo a ya!'. One Awo cascades against another and if they don't do that, the Awo will be disgraced, if they do not do that, the Awo will crumble!.

Now to the issue of ebo or sacrifice, ebo are also imule like the sixteen signs of Ifa as well as the IUPAC nomenclature in Chemistry. Not different. However according to the saying 'Bi a ko ba RI Adan a fi ombe se ebo'. If Adan (bat) is not available then we will use ombe for sacrifice, the important thing to know is that what is most important in Ifa is the mathematics and not the ebo. Ebo is somehow arbitrary but it is still an agreed upon nomenclature just like the sixteen Ifa signs but if no Ogun Alara there would have been no dog sacrifice to Ogun, if no Ogun Ajero, no palmwine sacrifice to Ogun. So we all can see that it started at a point and that the mathematics is most important. There are European Oguns because Adam Smith is no less Ogun than anybody. He was an incarnation of Ogun. Therefore the mathematics is most important but what a priest asks you to pay as ebo is his own ebo nomenclature for that reading and should be respected for you to have an hitch free ride.

Sorry to say this, but you are absolutely wrong here bro. IGR generation is not always a function of population.
The population of Edo state is less than 5m yet it’s IGR is 42b surpassing Anambra with an IGR of 30b and a population of almost 6m people.
Kano state with a humongous population of 14m (almost 3x the population of Edo) generates a paltry 40b falling behind Edo.

All over the world, most western countries generate 10x our revenue with far less population than Nigeria.
The state of NY alone with a population of less than 20m generates about 119b USD, while Nigeria with a population in excess of 200m generates less than 1b USD.

Check other data like WAEC registration, airtime loaded etc and you will be forced to agree that Edo is like 1.5 times of Anambra in population. Population is a problem here. Don't compare it to China's case. For many decades China kept the one child policy until their economy and society improved. If they had not done that they would be like Nigeria too. Demographically, Nigeria is in trouble. Family sizes are too large here, hence the families have little or no savings to invest in things like housing, education and businesses.

In China the family size is small so they can invest. Nigeria needs to keep births per woman down. It's too high at 5.

Children are God's blessing but the more children the more poverty. Then population can drop without forcing it, it is happening in Japan and it is a cause for concern. No country wants it's population to drop. It is a paradox. China has ended the restriction on birth. Keep people especially women, productive and busy and leave the rest ti God. House rent here in the Federation is annually and we can also live in slums or shanty here, there house rent is monthly (even government owned houses "social houses" "council houses" and the money for monthly rent there if converted here you can have your own house or heck mansion. house rent here (depending on the state) can be like equivalent of 17 euros plus we also have shared accomodation/self contain "face-me-I-face you" which I am here in Osun and yearly I will be paying 6 euros 😂😂😂😂😂😂. We almost ended up in the street me, mum, brother, and sisters 9 years ago when the banks took over our house (landlord was paying mortgage to bank) but luckily got a government house and even the money you could buy plots of land here in Nigeria. Then there is Water tax, Road tax, TV License (fines, courts, pen or even police record which will ruin someone's life there cause every business small or big always vet/scrutinise for criminal/police record there unlike here were hardened felons/convicts can get out of prison and still be a CEO of Julius Berger or Mama Bisi Restaurants 😂)

Cost of living has been rising in the West for decades but it has been rising in Lagos and Abuja Nigeria too but the problem will be resolved soon and rent across the world will be uniform. It cuts across but it is more prevalent in the western world

This is because there is the enabling environment for money to be invested (and wealth to be created by the extremely productive population with a very HDI (human development index). It is this wealth that is then taxed. Vibrant economy with countless industries. You don't need to go to university to get work. Secondary school is enough!

Unlike the absolute rubbish we have this country with very very few industries. Imagine Importing food, assembling food! in Nigeria! How we want take develop? Taxing such a country is pure wickedness.

Governments don't tend the economy as a favor and that is where we miss it in Nigeria, governments tend the economy to secure the revenue to fund budget. If revenue in January was 200, it won't reach 100 in February if no power, if there is industrial action, if there is sit at home. Therefore govts in working countries work in order to secure revenue but in Nigeria oil is the revenue and if the country is nuked revenue remains the same and that is the problem with the country. Dependence on oil money is the problem and it is how we differ from our three neighbors. A cause of the problem also is competition among sub nationalities. Then our large population can't be as productive as Germany's or Japan's because ours is full of kids. We have a high dependency ratio and our workforce is also emigrating, our scholars publish abroad and it is foreigners like Chinese Indians Lebanese that love the country more than Nigerians etc etc. The country is stuck presently and progress is hardly possible as it is

In fact, the money the US government and companies invest in research and development, no country in the world can come close to it. There's a reason the rest of the world always waits for the US to solve global issues.

The US is the richest in the world by natural advantages like arable land and etc. Russia too is large but they have less arable land than the US. Arable land is your population potential and your population is your power and that will show clearly when taxation becomes even globally. China will top followed by India by revenue but within decades the US will catch up.

However Nigeria has always been like half of West Africa's population mainly because of the Niger and Benue and other bodies of water.

1.5 million children sat for WAEC in 2021 outside girls out of school in the North and boys out of school in the East and then others from other zones. That implies around ten million in secondary school from JS1 to SS3, if another ten million in primary school and ten million in higher institution, then five million extra that makes 35 million children round it up to 40 million dependants including children, for 40 million children, there can't be up to 100 million adults including unmarried adults. It is doubtful if the population can be up to 200 million. Around ten percent of the population is definitely in Lagos though. They say active phone lines is around 190 million and that shows a figure of maybe 100 million phone users because most people have two lines and most people using phones are not necessarily parents but are adults. The population is probably somewhere between 150 and 200 million. If BVN and NIN stats are known, it will also be an indicator.

A nation can only support the population it's arable land with water resources can support. A city without drinking water will be deserted no matter the level of development. One such city was unearthed in Niger republic which was built thousands of years ago when the area was a rain forest.

Nigeria's population is most probably wrong but the population of the country is mainly determined by arable land and fresh water resources. Production of food is the base of any economy and that is why Nigeria has a larger population than Niger or Libya. The real wealth of any country is water resources. Therefore Nigeria must invariably have a higher population than Germany, no matter what. Some years ago, Lagos registered 140k waec students, Kaduna 100k and Kano 63k or so. For 140k WAEC students, there should be like one million secondary school students and maybe two million primary school students and maybe one million in higher institutions and five hundred thousand droputs. Total kids and dependants will be 4.5 million or thereabouts. Workers and retirees can be 6 or 7 million. Total maximum of 13 million but the figures is many years ago, I can't remember how long ago. I don't think Lagos can be up to 20 million but the WAEC figures I used can serve as guide. The figures mean that Kaduna is definitely more populated than Kano and that census figures used in Nigeria are rubbish. Why will Kaduna not even be more than Kano when it was the capital of the North. Even Ibadan a few decades back was far more populated than Lagos. Real data like exam registration, airtime usage, petrol consumption, bank credit and etc are the real markers of population distribution in Nigeria. You can only get reliable figures when nation building starts
