Sharly343: can someone please help me with this it's urgent please.. sis, documents not stamped on EACH page are assumed to be easily altered and as such not trustworthy. they may have been prepared hastily. if it is possible to have them stamped, please do so. you would be risking it to assume it will be accepted if you get it done at a high court. don't complicate matters. if you could have them stamped, please do so asap, and use a fast courier service like TNT or Aramex, it should get to wherever in Germany you are sending it in 4 days. God grant you favor in required places to get it done properly. stay blessed. |

hi all. thanks for all who posted transcripts and have been giving information ceaselessly. my query is: whenever a transcript is posted, you will read, "I arrived at 5:30pm...etc". it is presupposed that they all arrived from somewhere.
so its either, they left home early to brave the early morning traffic or lack of it OR they found somewhere to stay close by.
for the benefit of those who do not stay in Lagos or are familiar with routes or shortcuts, can the gurus assist with the following:
1. how best to get to the embassy from the popular areas like iyana ipaja, Ikorodu, mile 12, Ketu, and most importantly for travellers from outside lagos. bus/car routes and average prices of transport will be helpful.
2. can those who stayed nearby the embassy, kindly furnish address of a lodge or inn you stayed at, how you booked, if booking is possible online or maybe contact at reception to confirm booking. I have read of SAPPERS LODGE, SERGEANTS MESS from previous transcripts, all near bonny cantonment. it is assumed everyone knows their way around Lagos but sadly this is not the case always.
please let those who know routes, places and shortcuts wade in.
an example will suffice. I was going to creek road, Apapa after leaving the MTN office on the island. I was told to board a bus heading towards costain. after getting stuck in the hold up 2hrs later, someone who overheard my destination, simply commented that a boat ride would have taken me to Apapa in 15minutes for only N150, and their boats were safe with each passenger having a life jacket. I wasted 4hrs & N600 bucks. it was sheer torture.
hope guys can help by posting required info!!!
Danke |

Onyi2728: Let me share my good news. Its with heartwarming delight to announce that I received my AM yesterday. My effort to port to Germany began in March 2018. And since then it's been a rollercoaster. From losing my job in UAE to coming back to Lagos. From trying to get a job in Lagos to running back to Dubai. To the 5 admission denied last year and the long long wait. Blocked account and unblocking it lol.
My second attempt was much easier. Got a job quicker than I expected when I returned back to Dubai and kept trying. I am going to Hochschule Bremen MBA in International Tourism Management. Interview date was May 28 2019.It wasn't actually an interview. I just submitted all documents required and only two question was asked. Have I gotten an accommodation yet? and how will I sponsor myself in the second year?
Funded on 15th June. Sent blocked account info to embassy 18th June. AM received 24th. I will be porting in September.
This is a mile stone in my life knowing where I come from and knowing I did it all by myself with the help of reading on nairaland.
Thanks a lot. God Bless Everyone. congrats!!! things happen when the tough get going!!! |

Eldeee: It all went well today. Thank God for His grace.
Interview transcript Arrived at the embassy by 5:40am ,decided to chill and relax till 6:30am, at least I know say I come quick. Guys at the park quickly rush me for business, but unfortunately na bad market i be, Lol.
Met Mr paulinus at his usual routine, almost took the urine out of one guy after shouting at him. I just pity the guy and gave him signals to calm down. Me I dey ready for am, so no shaking.
Was ushered in for security checks, and was asked to wait at the seats close to the security checks, neither did I knew they arranged a VIP visa interview for me, Lol. I signalled the security guards that am still waiting and others are being sent inside the consulate building. But he said I should wait when it's time I will be ushered in.
It was time, I was given signal to go in. I met a calm looking lady at the visa room one, she was not smiling ooo, but I have to force smile out of her face after my interview.
My questions were more of personal questions as she noticed I have been there before now. No much hassles. But was just making emphasis on me funding on time.
The questions goes thus
What are you going for, msc or bsc? Which school and what course What is your bsc course, and what year did you graduate What have you been doing What's the relationship between your bsc and your proposed masters Are you married? Your bsc thesis?
All personal questions like I earlier mentioned. Even if you wake me up ten times, I go tell you without stress.
The only question that doesn't relate to me is this
Tell me what you know about Germany, na she even stop me cos talk go plenty. What are you going to do after studying?
That's all for now. She now asked any question for me. I was like shebi you no want laugh abi, you go laugh by force. Now I asked her what does the embassy have for me, she was like what do you mean, I told her on a lighter note, my birthday is coming up three days from now so I asked again what does the embassy have for me, any gifts or surprise package, she have to force out laughter from her face unknowingly and said I should please go as I have no serious question for her.
My people na so I take go oooo. Just went to catch my fun jare. Eldee, congrats. I have personally benefitted from your humorous posts and direct reasoning here. I pray all goes well for you, and you fund on time, and land in DE on time. We can now expect candid posts of life in DE too. on a serious note, did you notice any change in demeanor by the VO compared to when you had your first interview? while reading the compressed interview transcripts (Alore....thanks to you), I noticed also guys were mentioning which room/cubicle they were interviewed in. Do the VO's have fixed rooms they occupy? or it is just one's luck/God? there seems to be a pattern to avoid certain VO's.lol given the fact that you were working and graduated a while back, were you asked to present a payslip to confirm your employment or salary scale? some transcripts here look hurried and almost as if they were better not written. others included their own answers and were quick to point out unusual line of questioning from the VO. I noticed also, the VO's keep stressing that they want facts not comparison or stories. is it like giving them bullet points as I think it should be. (that's why the answers you gave matter). to all who have interviews pending, may you sail through like a hot knife through butter!! |

Namzy: There's an app on playstore called SOLARCT. It's a nice app and have calculations for your needs including solar panel tilt angle. I think the developer tried with that app thanks for sharing. its also available on apkmirror, in case you wish to match different versions. its true, it is quite a resourceful app. has sections for cable size, panel spacing, basic calculations like how to connect batteries in series/parallel, running hours of battery bank based on load in use, connection of panels, voltage drop e.t.c . much better than some paid apps like PV toolbox. its best used with a phone that has a magnetic compass. a similar apk is called "photovoltaic power plant/SOLARPE" by Pedrot Garcia martin. it also helps calculate spacing for multiple strings of panels either on the ground or on roof tops. it also has an inclinometer to assist in getting correct angle of tilt based on your GPS coordinates. it fetches your insolation data from NASA website. (pvgis Africa apk will do the same, it links to the website to accept long/lat inputs for your location) there is also an app (SUN POSITION DEMO & SUNCALC) that allows you to check possible lines of shading on your site as the sun passes overhead during the day. you pay a token to unlock features to save sun path for any day of the year. default status is only for the current day when in use. it gives sunrise & sunset times, but the sun path feature is most welcome when choosing where to site your panels. hope this helps too. |

Here is what is confusing me below. The statement in bracket is confusing me.
holding a bachelor's degree with a grade of 1. Class - 2. Lower Class and being accepted for a master's degree (also a DSH course-related admission to the master's program) or PhD study in Germany.
Thank you. hi, the matter has been thoroughly thrashed out, Cat A, is for anyone going for advanced studies like M.sc & P.hd, (1-2.2). Cat B is for people going for first degrees, B.sc, ( or people who got lower than 2.2- though such a person should just apply for another B.sc). hope this helps |

GTB usually require your collateral to be 125% the value of the facility required and Certificate of occupancy makes the process faster. Anyone inn public sector at GTB can provide more info, but speaking to the head of public sector is better. like I said, as long as your have the documents required, the bank will take time to verify your documents, send a valuer to site to ascertain market value, you are good to go. best of luck. |

keep posting updates, your birdseye view of Germany is candid and refreshing. that aspect of Naija peeps hoarding info is very disturbing. a friend of mine was in Texas last year and got a job at a restaurant. guess what? it was a Naija babe that set her up to lose her job. and it was a Kenyan who informed her of the culprit - and assisted her in getting another job! luckily not all are bad apples, cos she stayed for 5months with another Naija lady. some will use you and seek to better their lot from your misfortune, but others are God sent to bail you out of trouble. I have read other threads where the same allegation of Naija peeps abroad being self serving and downright mischievous. |

oshotemi19: Happy Easter celebrations to everyone on this forum. I have admission offer for the MSc winter 2019/20 and I am preparing for the interview at the embassy. But I'm however caught up at a cross road over the following issues which I sought your help:
i. The middle name on my birth certificate is "X" . on growing up to secondary school, I dislike the middle name and I choose another from the list of names my parents christened me. I choose "O" as my new middle name. The "O" middle name has since been adopted and appeared on my SSCE and BSc certificates, my international passport also carries the "O" middle name.
ii. My primary school certificate and testimonial has just my first name and surname. No middle name included in any of the two.
now my challenge is, can I do a declaration of age that carries my "O" middle name and present it during the interview. please take note that my date of birth is 197*
The second challenge is, can I swear an affidavit with regards to my primary school certificates and testimonial that has none of my middle name on it : so as to prove its compatibility with my other documents that bears my "O" middle name.
please your prompt advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks. I have a similar case, I was informed here that an affidavit will do. it should be enough for you too. God bless your efforts. |

Please i am having hard time completing the application process I need someone to bail me out urgently... I have paid for uni-assist and the payment is already confirmed, I have completed notarized copies of my document at the high court. but am confused about how many copies of the document? do i need to notarized... I want to know If i need to notarized all document for my 3 application and send to each university through uni assist.
Please this is very urgent, because i need to send this document this week....
Help me please./... according to preceding info from the thread: you need only one set of notarized documents. you will need one application & motivational letter per school applied for. one envelope per school containing signed application form and/or motivation letter. if you applied to 3 schools, 3 envelopes - properly labelled and addressed to EACH school. one larger envelope into which you will put: 3 smaller envelopes( one per school) AND 1 SET OF NOTARIZED DOCUMENTS. uni-assist will package a copy of your documents and each schools application form/motivational letter, they will send to each school you have paid for. * they state that you pay €75 for first school and additional €30 for each additional school you apply for. |

AbahJosiah: For those asking for transcript (winter) My interview was on April 2nd 2019
So I arrive at the embassy at some minutes after 5. I met one security man and told him I have an appointment by 7am, he told me to go and come back by 6:30am, so I went to the park and waited till it was about 26 minutes after 6, so I decided to stroll down to the embassy, I got there and found about 5 people in line already and joined, I looked forward and saw one slender, not too fair, bald man at the entrance arranging chairs and documents, I immediately knew that is the legendary Mr paulinus.
Mr Paulinus first handled family reunion people before he went over to student visa people and I was second in line, when it got to my turn, Mr Paulinus asked for everything even up to NYSC certificate and beyond, he said bring every thing one at a time and arrange them on the chair Original-photocopy- photocopy like that. I brought out all the document he asked for except primary school certificate or testimonial and by God's grace I still scaled through.
So I was ushered in asked to sign-in I was number one on that list. Inside the embassy compound the security man asked me to follow a green line painted on the floor to a waiting room, I did got in to the room the security man ushered me into room 4, I went in and met a young dark skin lady as my VO. She asked me to bring out my documents. I did and presented it to her the way Mr Paulinus arranged it three set original-photocopy-photocopy like that, she asked for two passports (by the way don't staple your passport to the application form use paper clip), I gave her, she asked for the application fee, I brought out the money and gave her, she took my finger prints, she gave me receipt and two documents to confirm if the information on it is correct and sign, which I did .
I presented two international passport to her initially so she asked why do I have two valid passports, I told her the old one did not meet the requirement it won't be valid for 3 months by the time I will be leaving (my old passport was still valid till September 2021 and my program will be rounding up that same period and the requirement is that the passport must cover your period of stay and still have up to 3 months validity by the time you will be leaving), she said ok.
Interview proper. VO: masters or bsc Me: masters VO: what course Me: Mathematics International VO: why do you want to study in germany? Me: I choose germany because germany is known for offering best academic, high quality, practice oriented program and also because of the enjoyable level of freedom, security, rich culture, history and the diversity characterizing it and also because of the opportunity to learn a new language. (she was typing everything so I had to go slow) VO: why not US, UK or Canada? Have you applied to any? Me: yes Canada, because of affordability, it is not affordable for me and also because of the opportunity to learn a new language. VO: but you can learn French in canada Me: I'm not aware. VO: can you tell me some facts about germany. Me: (I kept on listing the facts because I memorized more than 20 facts until she interrupted and asked the next question) VO: why not Nigeria? Me: I began telling her about how the education system in Germany is better compared to that in Nigeria as my reason when she interrupted... she explained VO: I mean what is wrong with nigeria (education system) Me: there is no real balance between the practical and the theoretical aspect of a subject matter. VO: is that all Me: yes (wished I said more sha) VO: why mathematics? Me: because mathematics was the course I majored in during my BSc, so now I want to further and gain more advanced knowledge in the field. VO: is that all? Me: Yes VO: can you speak german? Me: no VO: what is the topic of your BSc thesis? Me: Modeling the dynamics and optimal control of Malaria. VO: that's all your interview is over, we will contact you, thank you. She returned my international passports back to me.
Me: thank you, please can I ask two questions. VO: ok Me: when I am asked to submit my international passport should I send both passport or just the current one
VO: just one, the current one. Me: okay, so I booked for appointment using my old passport, hope it won't affect anything. VO: she said no
I thanked her and took my leave, the securities asked how it went and for money. I gave no one a dime cos I wasn't sure who was watching or if it was a setup or a test.
Mr Paulinus never changeth his gra gra is new every morning, just do what he tell you to do. Drop your strong head and pride at home, the man can make you loose balance, make you disorganized by his shout and commands. So that is my transcript Winter semester. God be with you. Good luck. ***** thank you for highlighting the use of clips to hold the passport pixs, and the validity period for the passport being used.....that is a new angle. thanks again. |
