Leke in my view is a poor keeper, He was very shaky at AYC and is making mistakes already.
Leke was fantastic during the 6 tournament , at a point I felt he was the first choice . It's very rear before a team we need the third keeper . He is just going there to make a number ....I will advice him to up his game , if he want to be relevant in the future ...

With Iheanacho, Moses and Success, there will be more goals for the flying eagles... Iheanacho's creativity will create more chances for his team mates
I like the quality in the team .it will give any coach headache to select the best from the best . First eleven fire1 The bench is another fire2

I pray that they are injury free till the end of the tourney , Mexico , Brazil , Argentina and Germsny should be warn!!

How will they play when they are with the German U20 preparing for the World Cup? You're missing his point. If they have as many as 5 players picked from the team, then the team is not that bad. It simply means that our team is better and more compact.
Thank u for shedding more light for him to understand the point I am trying to make . The World Cup will start in less than 10 days , if our boys beat the Brazilian team . This same guy may call it a fluke .

Thank you. I hope they are better than the previous two teams we played. Wish our players injury free match.
Did u called the 2teams we previously played a bad team? Up to 5players on the German list came from one the team . Pls go through the German list to prove me wrong .

Flying eagles is d better side that was why we white wash them .

I think Mali want to waste that slot , when they know they are not ready they should have forfeited the slot to country that is ready ....going to the World Cup without preparation is just a waste of time . Africans need to wake up .

Kenneth Omeruo was a teenager when Coach Keshi dropped the National Team Captain Joseph Yobo to play Omeruo. I believe these our Flying Eagles players will play a big role in Coach Keshi's squad for the next Nations Cup.
Yes , Kenneth was good ,not until is bad day against SA . But this team has talents ,he shld integrate 70% of them into the super eagles, we want younger blood that is hungry for success .

Success has not played in 3 weeks heading into a competition. At least simon moses and iheanacho are playing.
Maybe at the end of the tournament he may become one of the unuse striker . Cos it will be difficult to displace Awoniyi unless Manu want to play 2 strikers upfront .

In a related development I have read some uncomfirmed reports that- Stephen Keshi has declared that Flying Eagles rave of the moment; Taiwo Awoniyi will surely get a chance to stake a claim for a shirt in the senior national team. Keshi who reckoned that age should not be a barrier playing for the national team was quick to point out that doing well in the youth ranks does not necessarily translate to being ready for the big thing in the senior national team set-up. The Big Boss, who himself started quite young playing for the Super Eagles, said on Brila FM that if Raheem Sterling could play for England at a tender age, Awoniyi could break into the Nigerian senior national team.
If this news is true ? it means Stephen Okey has woken up from his deep sleep . What is wrong with "catch them young ?

But not just ordinary players but bunch of excellent players , he must change his orientation to succeed this time around as the super eagles coach .

The NFF already have an Under 13 and under 15 programme throughout Nigeria.. That is what produced Chidera Ezeh and kelechi Iheanacho.

Germany has some of the best academies but they have never won the under 20 trophy.. So how does Nigeria not winning it call for foreign coach?

There are several reasons why we have not won the cup. The first is the use of overage players. until the introduction of MRI, most of our wins was through cheating and as a result, players do not develop. so by under 20, no progress is made... There are several examples of this.

Also, even when a player is genuinely young. They end up with slave contracts abroad that does not help their career growth. It is very difficult for African players to get decent deal abroad. Agent greed and the unwillingness of top European clubs to gamble on young africans is part of the issue.
I will not agree with u less on this vital point you have made . Age cheating has hindered us in the past and now that we are on the track , we don't need feeble minded writers around. Even our noisy neighbor got it right when they used younger players, they won the under 20 World Cup and still went ahead to perform excellently well at the senior World Cup with the core of that same team. I detest negative people , we don't need them on this thread.

Flying eagles will come home with the trophy!

If they were brazilians, they would have been signed by now.
These guys are not desperate they will get a good club after d Worldcup .

This is Nigeria's problem right here, you see a man performing well winning all there is to win and instead of praising him you go write an idiotic article like this for the world to see. Win or lose i will always support Manu and his staff.
I think we need to ask that writer d definition of success in his disctionary ? He shld be one of this people that doesn't believe in themselves . At this point we don't need any foreign handler . We will do it in our own way and our boys will bring d trophy home .

Solomon Kwambe plays on the right. The cross came from the left. It was Benjamin Francis.

Kwambe did well in another game and had an assist I can not remember. I feel that game is the one you are mixing it. If I will remember, I will let you know.

Maybe an Aaron Samuel goal.

Shoal Ameobi's goal vs Italy.

We had this debate earlier. The debate was between Oshaniwa and Musa. Some online commentators said Musa. Some said Oshaniwa. But, from the frame play, it was an overlap run and a pass laid to the wings. Either way, Oshaniwa has put in a lot of nice crosses. The only detriment to his game is when the midfielders especially Moses do not read his run.

If anyone has a clear highlight of the Nigeria vs Italy friendly, please post the link.
He wore a jersey number 25 , Solomon kwambe .

I do not know about Kingsley Madu but Oshaniwa is the Shiiit. I remember one goal I think Musa scored that Oshaniwa ran with the ball from defence to square it in. After the goal, his team mates hugged Oshaniwa instead of Musa. Remember his bicycle kick clearance at the World Cup. Or, his cross to Shola Ameobi in the match against Italy.
In the friendlies it wasn't Oshaniwa that crossed the ball .... It was one of the home based player , I cann't remember his name but presently he's playing in Israel .

manu garba should seriously caution musa mohammed.. all those his overlappings should stop... he should remember that he is a CB and stop exposing the defense.... infact he should be told never to cross the centre line in exception of corner kicks.... and possible during last ditch efforts to equalise
U really don't understand the strength of the team . Their strength is in d attack , and Musa is playing to instruction ,now that Ndidi is in the team he can do his overlap and put those fantastic crosses in , Ndidi is there to cover him up .
Point of correction Musa is a wing back not a centre back .

Not to be a kill joy but it seems like these German Teams suck, i would have rather we played teams with an actual good first team like Bayern or Dortmond, teams known for having strong reserves at least a wolfsburg not teams in the bottom of the log, lets be honest if your main team sucks how good are your reserves?
They are going to play a tougher opponent in the last preparatory match .

1. Nwakali
2. Ndidi
3. Awoniyi might be in great form, but i don't agree he is better than success. A tie for me.
4. Its between Moses simon and Yahaya. Moses is more established and experienced, but i don't think he is better than Yahaya in terms of abilities. Yahaya is a better team Player
5. Iheanacho of course.
U don't judge that way ... Idowu is a silent worker he shield the back line . U need to analyze the role of each and every one of the team before u can decide that.

I so much believe in this team.
The only teams I am weary of in this tournament is Germany and Argentina.

If we fail to clinch this trophy, It will take a very long while to do so. .

I pray they wipe out the tears off the faces of Nigerians by effecting this needed change to be crowned U20 world champions..

I can't wait for the tournament to kick off. .

Make I dust off my big black and white TV and service my Gen. My phcn go day carry light 5 minutes before kick off.

I wish them the very best.. .

Rondo, tiki taka, total football, complete football all join resulting in Lots of goals. It's time to set up another world record in Newzealand..

Flying Eagles Goalkeepers In Fierce Battle For Spots

https://level3.soccerladuma.net/cms2/image_manager/uploads/News/209618/7/default.jpg

As Manu Garba get set to name his final 21-man team for the World Youth Championship the four goalkeepers in the team are in a fierce battle for three spots.

Already Joshua Enaholo, who kept goal all through the Africa Youth Championship success as well as the qualifiers, has established himself as the team’s first choice.

Enaholo’s undisputed status as number one now leaves Dele Alampasu with the task of securing a place as the team’s second choice goalkeeper which seems to be the case.

SL10.ng checked on proceedings in the team camp and can reveal that goalkeeper trainer Emeka Amadi is torn between Olorunleke Ojo and Adamu Abubakar as third choice.

In training we gathered while Ojo has not done enough to displace the top two Abubakar is enhancing his chances of displacing the Giwa FC’s safe hands as the team’s third choice goalkeeper.

Ojo, the most experience among the four goalkeepers, had a forgettable AYC campaign when Enaholo was suspended and Alampasu injured hence he was thrown in.

His not too convincing displays at the tournament have now opened the door for Adamu Abubakar to steal his spot as he is viewed as a younger alternative who can benefit from being third choice.

However, there are fears they might have a need to use their third choice at the tournament hence Leke Ojo’s experience of keeping goal in the Nigeria Premier League might be needed.

Thanks Joseph for this update , I ve been looking forward to it . Ojo has not been consistence and he had a diminishing performance of late . His best was during the 6 tournament .

He has really worked hard to inherit excellent boys ....he's also good at nurturing talents .these guys are lucky to be in good hands . If Keshi remains d super eagles coach he will have a longer enjoyment than any of the 2coaches . Continuity will give us the senior World Cup someday .

If Alfa does not make the team, this will probably be the last that is heard of him.. Muazam has been signed by Westerlo, That is a good place to start a career.

After the tournament, Siasia would inherit many of the boys (Keshi is not serious) and Manu would start looking at the Amuneke boys coming up...
Don't forget that Manu is picking the best from the best .sokari has been tested @ all levels and he's good .

They call him the new Jayjay .
