AIG07: seriously the Manu n his crew 'll be having tough time in team selection. As none of this star studded squad is willing to seat on d bench. Good one. What a fighting spirit dis dudes got! That has really proved that d team is ready for victory ,all of them are working ....Manu needs to play total attacking style against d Brazilian ,if u can see he has gone for it, selecting d players will not be a problem cos he know who will come in at the second half |

Please Mr. Coach don't keep Iheanacho on the bench

I see a balanced team , both the first and 2nd team have equal strength , they might have scored different numbers of goals. A deadly attack will be launch against the Brazilian team. Left right forward and centre ... Even from d back . Pls rain shld not fall in newzealand , that could only be d obstacle from observing total football. |

Does anyone remember njemba njemba?
It is important that these boys continue to remain focused on the careers even when they get to a big club or start making money. Look at Messi and Ronaldo, they continue to maintain a high standard. The mentality has to change , we have just few footballers that are passionate about the game at senior level ,so many play for the love of money . Africa needs to change their mentality . |

tbaba1234: Leecodeman, don't you think, Manu's talent would be wasted at senior level? At senior level, the coach invites those doing well in their clubs so either way, it will be a mix.
The problem with Keshi is that he keeps inviting Idle players. Look at Omeruo, he has depreciated a lot such that boro did not even name him on the bench yet Keshi invited him. Same with Onazi.
Where is the incentive to improve??
Manu can not just stick to his boys at senior level. He will have to invite other Nigerians doing well in Europe and those that fit his philosophy. Lets take things one step after the other , Manu is good no doubt ... But his philosophy will be more concrete if the package comes with d Worldcup . |

TheSuperNerd: I dont think predicting a 5-0 win for Nigeria shows an underrating of brazil. I beliv those fans predict these outrageous scorelines based on a deep knowledge of the strength and abilities of the Super Flying Eagles. Though I dont endorse such scorelines, remember they hv a rite to be confident based on the boys' potentials. At uae 2013, mexico were defending champs and came in as concacaf winners. Nigeria ignored their impressive C.v. And bashed them 6-1 and the boys who did the job then are here again... Remember Germany 7-1 brazil @ brazil 2014? Do u knw only one fan in germany 'officially' predicted this scoreline? #fact So let them be... If na 5-0, great! If na 1-0 still great! Brazil have our respects but we knw wat Nacho and co can do... Thank u bro ! U bring back some sweet memory of d eaglet vs Mexico match .... Infact after watching that match that year , I predicted that this 2 team will play the final . So many people batched me on d forum .... I wish I can get the link I would have post it here . The fact that we re going to best the Brazilian team doesn't make them a weak team to others , but we re not equal in terms of strength and ability ...nobody is under rating them . TheSuperNerd: You're right Sir. Brazil keeps struggling. To worsen the matter, Kennedy had been replaced by Malcolm in the final 21 due to a medical operation he's to undergo. But all d same, they're still at full strength(they beta be coz I no wan excuses on their part... I no wan anytin wey go take the shine off our victory ova them) with Jean Carlos of real madrid(reason mosquito was dropped), Andreas pereira of man utd(reason nathan was dropped), Boschilia(bronze boot winner at uae 2013) among others. Brazil have stars but as a team they aren't too cohesive but they'll still be tough. But in all, I know Nigeria will carry the day with a good dominant win... Nice observation! And they want to play against ,a more cohesive team, with good attacking style, set of boys with goals assassin spirit frm left right and centre . I am waiting for 1st of June . gbosaa: I think we should be careful how we expect so much from this team lest we have unexpected hbp should they falter. Brazil might have come fourth in the South American qualifiers but they still pose lots of threat.
I like many others wrote them off not just because of their qualifying position but mainly cos of Flying Eagles talents, preparations and results but after watching the Brazilians, I had a change of mind about them. They have tall players like the Germans and could pose threats aerially and physically. They can shoot and score goals from long distances. I think we should be wary of that.
The flying Eagles might have lots of talents but they haven't kicked a ball yet in New Zealand. I still think that under17 is different from under20. It might not be so easy walking in there and coming out with results just like that. While we focus on Brazil, little is known about Hungary or North Korea whom I believe might parade over aged players.
Let's continue to pray and hope that everything works well for these boys. I don't know how much the impact of visa hitches and blending of the duo of Simon and isaac might have on the team. I would have dropped the two if I was Manu and concentrate on the boys who won super6 and AYC. Simon might be a huge talent and experienced but I believe that he could easily be replaced. Same as success. Nice observation ! But this team has grown from been the under 17 we used to know ,most of us are loyal to them cos they play beautiful football .and the Attacking prowess of the team gives me joy ,as If am watching and playing a Play station game. Although the team is not perfect yet , but they re doing very well and they will keep improving . I will repeat it again ,I want them to go ahead with their unbeaten record , they can do it . Sit down rate them individually ask look at the impact each am every player have on the team , u will know they re bunch of talents .forget the size of the Brazilian and physique , " if they play rough them go collect red card" if u remembered the Senegalese team in d AYC u will know that size doesn't play football ,it's technicality that matters . Also their performance in the super 6 tournament .The best the Brazilian team will get is a draw anything better than that is a win in favor of the flying eagles . |

gbosaa: I disagree with you. Those boys are very good and I wonder how they came fourth in the qualifying tournament.
They created lots of chances, very good dribblers and can shoot as well. They are full of tricks. The Portuguese were ball watching.
Their goal was well deserved and not as a result of defensive blunder. If flying Eagles can defeat this team that I have just watched, then I think half of them should just walk into the Super Eagles.
The Brazilians are very good. The Portuguese team sometimes play a bit like the French under 20. They have tall players with good legs, can run, shoot, dribble and jump. They are technically good as well but the Brazilians made them look like amateurs.
Pls watch that clips again with an unbiased mind. If they had scored half of the clear cut chances they created, they would have won by up to 3-0 I am surprised! Just this highlight u rated Brazil like this, or did u watch d whole match ? Bro u re so biased with ur comment . The same Brazilian team that struggled to qualify also struggled in their under 21 competition , although this is a friendly match that was a defensive error from the Portuguese side and it cost them the game . If the Brazilian were that good they would have converted all their chances and secured the 3goals . Don't forget this has been their problem since qualifying , struggling. They struggled to qualify , also struggled to to get into d third place . Also they re struggling again in the friendlies ...take it or leave it the team is not good. |

Daninya11: With the FIFA U20 World Cup, New Zealand 2015 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup, Canada 2015 just around the corner, General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr Mohammed Sanusi has noted that no special targets were given to the teams.
In a chat with the www.footballlive.ng although the expectation is that both teams excel in their respective tournaments
” Its not good to say we’re setting targets for the teams. I think its just better to let the players know that the entire Country is behind them and expects the teams to leave up to their billing.
” During our little tête-à-tête especially with the Flying Eagles Taiwo Awoniyi; who spoke for the team; said that they are aware Nigerians are confident in their abilities and rather than feel pressured, they are buoyed to remain focus.” Somany of us believed in this team and we have set that target for them ....beat Brazil and win all ur remaining matches . Infact after the World Cup I want them to remain unbeaten . |

https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/62242success.jpg
Due to an administrative bureaucracy, allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Granada striker Isaac Success has missed his scheduled flight to link up with the Nigeria U20s for the Fifa World Cup.
The 19 - year - old was supposed to depart Malaga on Monday morning for New Zealand but is presently holed up in Andalusia awaiting the personal assistant to the NFF President, Nasiru Jibril, to deliver his international passport.
The document had been sent by Isaac Success to Nigeria, as requested by the Federation, to process his visa to New Zealand.
But he is not the only Flying Eagles player facing travel difficulties as Gent striker Moses Simon was yet to be given his international passport as at Sunday.
Nasiru Jibril, regarded as one of the international experts at the NFF, jetted off to Europe last weekend and it is believed that he is now in Belgium to hand Simon his international passport. The NFF official is expected to arrive in Spain this evening to meet up with Isaac Success.
With the clock ticking before the Flying Eagles opener against Brazil, Success has decided not to wait for Fifa to send him a fresh ticket to travel to New Zealand.
This website understands that he will book and pay for his flight ticket today before flying to New Zealand on Tuesday. If it's only flight hitch no wahala .... Hope they have sorted all other traveling document? |

joseph1013: Manu: Iheanacho Can Replace Lampard
https://level3.soccerladuma.net/cms2/image_manager/uploads/News/210510/7/default.jpg
Head coach of the Flying Eagles, Manu Garba, says Kelechi Iheanacho can fill the void created by the departure of Frank Lampard from Manchester City if given the chance.
Manu, in a chat with SL10.ng before the team departed for Dubai en route to New Zealand for the Under-20 World Cup, said the 18-year-old has got very similar traits to the English Premier League legend.
"To be honest I’m not surprised at his performances for Manchester City youth teams as I have said it before – he can play for any team in the world, as a matter of fact they will do well to use him as a replacement for Frank Lampard," he told SL10.ng.
"He shares similar style of play with the outgoing legend. They can both create and score goals from midfield with late runs into the 18-yard box hardly spotted by opposition defenders.”
However, the coach advised Iheanacho to keep working hard especially if he is included in the club’s pre-season activities ahead of next season. This statement has just settled our arguments we had some few weeks back .... Manu will use hm as an attacking midfielder . Give him the free role and he will cause havoc . |

Awoniyi has what it takes to become a better player than Nicholas Anelka. U guys have been fantastic with ur analysis! Let me chip in this .i read in one of Awoniy's interview, when they asked him among the strikers in d world who does he want to model in style like. He said " he said he doesn't have a particular player on his mind ,but he want to pick some special thing from all of them . E. g Ivory coast @ both u17 and u20 AYC Ivory Coast wasn't a defensive side , they've been the team rival right from onset .and I will say they played more of physical football than any team in d AYC . tbaba1234: A good start is vital. In 1987, the poor start destroyed the tournament and all the optimism.
The team is a victim of its own success. When fans see the form of Awoniyi, Simon Moses, Iheanacho etc and the other talents in the team, expectations are bound to be high.
It is down to the team coaches and psychologist to keep their feet on the ground. Young players can get carried away.
Whatever happens, Manu has been a success. Our success is in our hands ...the boys are destined for greatness ...either we hype them or we don't don't , they are going there to bring the trophy . Let's leave the collective efforts of the team , let's rate them as an individual which is their performance in their respective clubs . Iheanacho has really done well for his club , man city has been singing his praise , same thing with Moses simon , also our taiwo awoniyi .... All these guys earned the respect through their individual brilliance . So it will be difficult for them to fail as a team instead they will get better .... More than 70% of the player can function well in world stage . I am still waiting for a pundit to draw a statistic . We are proud of them and they have gained our loyalty , evn if they fail (in a very rear case) we will support them . |
