Something that they've commenced already. Didn't NASS hear and see when the Honorable Minister flagged off the program at Abuja during the week. |
... and what if he failed to meet up with the ultimatum like we all know? It shouldn't be only PDP that should be making noise about the whereabout of the missing Chinese doctors. Something isn't right obviously and we should be asking questions. |
Reintegration likely to be followed with a foreign scholarship. What a forgiving and benevolent Government we have. |
These men know exactly what they are doing. They must appear to be virulent in attacking the opposing views to their paymasters to remain on the job. All they care about is to amass as much as they could while it lasts. I bet that the next spokesperson may even be worse than Abati and Adesina combined. |
This isn't Nigeria thing. Where you copy am from? OP? |
It's late already, you're already part of the statistics of those treated for free for Covid-19. NCDC officials should fear God or whatever they hold supreme. This hardship occasioned by this lockdown is becoming unbearable. |
Well, he has the right to vote and be voted for. He has the right to contest like every other bonafide Lagosian who has the credentials and wherewithal. |
Wonderful! If you remind Femi of this article now, he'll insult you and your village people join. But to be fair, Femi has no hand or influence in the appointment of Gambari. Let's give him a chance to air his opinion about the man again and see if he's consistent. |
This guy should be a billionaire by now. With the fund available to that state, Lagos should have been one of the best cities in Africa but for the wastages in government like seen here. Imagine the rot that will be uncovered should an opposition gets a chance to rule that state. The successive Government in that state have perfected the art of doing little and using the media to hype it, ditto for other states. Like someone observed above, nothing may come out of this eventually,or he gets a slap on the wrist. Regardless, kudos to Sahara Reporters. |
I've been wondering what the government will gain or has gained by shutting the economy and killing businesses by raising false alarms on this Covid-19. To what ends really? |
Na the two of them know wetin dey worry them wey them no fit settle, abi no be the same government Obaseki served. I pity for those of their followers and supporters who go become collateral damage. Shebi them don say make one pay #18m on top of his demolished hotel If the fight na for the betterment of Edo people, may they be irreconcilable. |
These people should at least fear whatever they hold supreme. The untold hardship this forced lockdown is causing or has caused is unimaginable. If NCDC hasn't been entirely truthful to us, now is the time for them amend their ways. |
The danger of a single story . There's more to that demolished hotel than just disobeying lockdown order. |
Ok |
The home feeding program defies all logic considering the amount of fund to be committed into it. With the recent condemnation and outcry, a listening Government should have halted the program. It's a waste of scarce resources, especially at this precarious period. If the parents are so poor that they can't feed their kids, then empower them to be able to do so! A subtle loan of 50k to the parents will get to 13 400 daily, imagine what that'll do to the economy of these parents. |
Bodexman:If the kids are so hungry that the government has to feed them, it implies that their parents are poor. Shouldn't a responsible government be thinking of how to lift these parents out of poverty so that they can feed their kids themselves? With a start up of 50k, the #670m will be able to raise13400 petty traders DAILY! who will in turn be able to cater for their kids. In a month, about 400 000 people would have been touched. Whatever the Government gets in repayment would be used to cater for new beneficiaries until it goes round. Isn't this better than the controversial and possibly corruption-ridden feeding program? If the NASS failed to arrest this situation, I will conclude that they are complicit in this mismanagement of our scarce resources. |
Which sensible government will make a far reaching decision based on some uncontrolled Twitter poll? |
The Federal Government should threaten the Governments of Katsina and Kaduna with a state of emergency over the incessant killings by bandits. Moreso when the governors of these states had told us they negotiated with the bandits |
The Driver that was given the directive to proceed got sacked. The Director that gave the directives got suspended. I feel the driver has not been fairly treated. |
Will this make data and call rates cheaper in Ekiti? |
If the NASS members are not complicit, they should have called those in charge of this wastage and daylight scam to order. |
The Officers who illegally detained him to please whoever should be made to cough out the money. Even though we know they will appeal, still congratulations to the man. |
The thing is: The CoS can only be as powerful as the president wants. My opinion : 'Weak' presidents require very strong Chiefs of Staff to complement them. |
;DSocial and physical distancing was well observed. HypocritesTo even think someone from this was busy arresting people and demolishing properties for violating lockdown orders days ago, makes this picture sickening. My verdict: Everyone present here MUST be promptly arrested and quarantined. The premises where the even takes place SHOULD suffer the same fate as the hotel demolished . The organizer (s) of the event MUST be arrested fined, quarantined and made to publish apology to the people of Rivers in two National Dailies. |
Maybe that's the exact character needed to serve as the CoS. |
Nothing. Absolutely nothing |
Is it part of the executive order that the owner will also forfeit the land even after the structure has been demolished? I refuse to believe that the matter is just about flouting the lockdown order. Samuel Doe and Idi Amin too once had supporters. |
Sadly, that's the truth. The CoS is as powerful as the president allows. |
The minister told us to wait till tomorrow for the details, it's about 24 hours away. |
Sincerely, someone has to call Wike to order before he becomes the same person we condemn Buhari for. If IG withdraws Federal Police, the creek boys should be able to protect the task force. |
Buhari or IG? Regardless of whoever, Wike has to be called to order before he becomes a tyrant, same thing Buhari is accused of. Let all offenders be tried and published accordingly. |
