Studentetc, really? You think every sista is a beggar? It works both ways. Sometimes we give our numbers to guys we don't really like and then we don't take their calls or get irritated when they call. I think guys take your number to prove a point to themselves that they can get a number out of any girl. If I don't want a guy to call me I stand my ground and don't give him my number. And if I do and they don't call I get over it. |
I must have read all the Pacesetters novels that were available then. I had most of them but I have no idea where they are now. I can't remember most of the story lines except Love on the rocks. I read it many times over. ![]() |
How do I let a guy down gently and nicely? Especially a BRO?( Christian brother)? Is being a christian a licence for bros to approach every sister in the church and expect a positive answer? And when you say no, why must they always try to blackmail you emotionally and spiritually? I'm normally not very diplomatic even as a christian and I tend to just tell someone I'm not interested in them in that way but many guys just don't want to take no for an answer. The fact that I am a christian does not mean I should not have taste, does it? |
Pilas and Mamajama, thank you. Curiousity satisfied. But Mamajama, you be male sha? ![]() |

This is your excuse, Madam Speaker? This gave you the justifcation to award a contract for the renovation of a house for N628m? The difference is N324m, debit. Now Nigerians are going to be real mad at you. ![]() |
You dey craze? |
The fisticuffs among the so-called honourable members was just a distraction to buy time for madam speaker. She is only delaying the evil day. |
Personally, I would say none of the 3 except you are going to bridge the gap between yourself and the long distance fella by going where he is or vice versa. A long distance relationship comes with its attendant problems. Online dating, never done that and I don't see myself doing it. I feel awkward about it. MARRIED MAN, SERIOUS NO NO, no matter the pressure. Best to keep your eyes open and not be distracted. You will meet someone around. Don't waste your time pining for someone whom you can't see and can't be sure of their eventual decision. |
Ah, massager! You don't know, maybe the equipment comes with swimming pool and sauna and a gym and tennis court and other facilities that we don't know about. Anything is possible. ![]() I'll tell you what it is. These people just sit in their offices and think up ways to siphon money from the system. They think it's still an anything goes government. There is nothing too outrageous for them to come up with. Have you not heard that bottled water for bathing is included in their budgets? Na hear I hear o. I no knowooo ![]() |
Presently, I do the Bible and have many christian books I use as manuals daily. I read a lot of Mills and Boon in my day and I think I went through all the Pacesetter novels. I did the Harlequins and all those other soft romance novels. They helped me with my vocabulary. ( And gave me a lot of ideas too ). I've done all the Jackie Collins, Sidney Sheldon, Barbara Bradford Taylor, some Hadley Chase -I wasn't crazy about Chase- Jeffrey Archer and John Grisham. There was this other author that was quite popular in the 80s, an American. My elder sister had almost all his books and I did read a few of them too. Strangely, I never got my head around Ludlum. I read a couple but somehow, I think my brain was always switched off with them. I never came across Clancy. Stephen King was a no no, too paranormal for my liking. Angela's Ashes is one book I will not forget in a hurry cos of the vivid descriptions and it made me laugh out loud. But I do more inspirational books and the bible now. I read a lot of Kenneth E. Hagin, Joyce Meyer, Stormie Omartian, Michelle McKinney Hammond, T.D Jakes etc and anything that has to do with the bible and a christian lifestyle. I cannot get enough of the WORD. ![]() |
Hello,Zantlex, you sound more like the one who has been paid to respond to this post. Are you one of the engineers on the job? If you talk of Julius Berger, at least you see the people working whenever they have a job going and you have a sense of a terminal date for the job they are doing. But these people, called Hitech? Common, don't tell me that you don't see them just hanging around doing nothing. And what has the construction of fences got to do with the road? If they are trying to make things better do we all have to pay such a high price? I know Lagos traffic can be crazy, but one cannot put a finger to what is going on with the construction workers. This company is probably incapable of this scale of work and one cannot help but wonder how they got the job in the first place since they fail to show any form of direction in the work they are doing. To spend 2 hours traveling between Lekki and Law School while some company are supposed to be doing something to make things better? That's not good enough.!!!!! ![]() If you are a Hitech or Lekki Concession Company staff, let it be known to you that the job on that road is very shoddy, it is painstakingly slow, poorly supervised, workers hanging around doing nothing all day, long stretches of the road without any work going on at all. Is it being done on purpose? Please at least, fill the potholes. And complete some work on the road let us actually see what you are doing. And the drainage, why was the place flooded on Sunday when it rained if the drainage was indeed properly done? Prioritise your work. Lame excuses that you have given for the suffering of commuters does not make it acceptable. This is the bane of our society: accepting substandard work and becoming immune to the hardships that bedevil us by making excuses for them. And thank you for admitting that you are a lame HORSE or whatever. You certainly deserve the flogging. ![]() |
I no know book! Wetin be sex starved woman? Are we in Naija? ![]() |
I am a christian woman, have been for almost 20 years as I gave my life to Christ at a young age and this is my story. I once dated a married man contrary to my christian knowledge and beliefs and my stance against it even at that point in my life. I would say I fell hard into this grave temptation that is very real and common in our society even among the christian folk. And it was the biggest mistake I made in my life because it altered the course of my life completely and I did things with him which I had never done in any other relationship and worse of all I had an abortion for him, the one and only I ever had. The relationship eventually broke up acrimoniously and I got married. Unfortunately, my own marriage broke up when my husband met and married this younger girl unknown to me and I got to find out in a terrible way and he chose to be with this younger girl. I can tell you the pain that this caused me is indescribable. It was my faith that held me together. And being single now I vowed I would never be with a married man because I have been on the giving side and on the receiving side. Ironically, a married man came into my life just then and if not for the lessons I had learned I would have found myself repeating history. What I am saying is that it ain't worth it. There is a law of sowing and reaping and we can never run away from it. I have a friend who dated married men when we were single and has had the unfortunate incident of her husband dating other girls. The trauma she went through was much. And she had probably forgotten what she did as a young woman because she is now on the other side of the divide. What am I saying? It's never harmless to date a married man, no matter the reason for it or the excuses we may have. I know we are all prone to temptation and it's easier to avoid the temptation than to come out of it after falling. There is a lure that married men present to single women that they don't just know how to resist. My advice: DON'T DO IT. YOU COULD BE THE WOMAN AT THE RECEIVING END. Sisters, let's be our SISTERS' keepers. In a nutshell, I believe IT IS MORALLY WRONG and causes a lot of pain for all the parties involved(except the men, perhaps?). |

Who will save us from Lekki Concession Company or whatever they call themselves and Hitech Construction Company? Can you see the shambles they have made on Ozumba Mbadiwe and the trauma they are causing commuters on that route? The construction workers hang around most of the time without seemingly having anything to do, no form of supervision whatsoever and no direction. You can't see any progress they are making on the job even when they close the road overnight. They don't even do minor repairs on the road by filling the major potholes that have now dotted the road because of their work. They seem to be overwhelmed with the job and don't know how to carry on. Are they really qualified to do such a job? Honestly, everyone I have spoken to believes these people really don't know what they are doing. Who is going to save us from their hands and how long are we going to endure this nightmare? ![]() |
Since when has being young been a problem in doing business and why should you try to malign someone's character for no reason? I think it's wrong to say because someone is young then he automatically qualifies as a fraudster or 419 as you choose to call it. Sleekfun is a hustler, he wants to make money. Is that a crime? Let us be careful not to damage people's character unnecessarily. It might be your turn tomorrow. If this guy has done anything to you then tell us. Don't be bitchy for bitchy's sake. |
