maingwaest: Dillish greet Maria when u get back to Namibia on wednesday.

I doubt she'd go back home because evicted housemates start arriving SA tomorrow and by Wednesday almost half of them would be in SA.

nikky341: Abeg remember to vote using avv on web and wap, other countries are doing it. Lets not assume it doesn't work and relax

So AVV still dey exist? I thought it was already a known FACT that it doesn't work? You guys have tried it on others and it didn't work.

Melvin is handling things in the best way he knows how. If una no like am make una change channel. Who be Dillish? She no know how to beg? Why can't she beg for forgiveness? Abeg, make una stop the yeye.

ninnyanny: I have said before, most of u watch bba on nairaland! When did a question become an apology? Dillish only asked Melvin if he was angry with her....and she did that cos Elikem asked her to...it was just Cleo that apologised with the words "I'm sorry" .

Abeg help me tell them oh.
People just use their fingers and type trash without getting their facts right. Most people here insult Bev for exposing her family and friends secrets but because it is Dillish doing the same, Melvin is told to "man up" or Dillish "had to". Nonsense. When you are having a fight with a friend....you should NEVER by any circumstances (if you are a true friend) use their secrets....told to you in confidence as ammunition. That is the worst thing to do.

Sweetlemon:

Thank you very much. You are really very objective. And I love people like you.
However, I still want Melvin to win.
People criticize Dillish at the slightest provocation forgeting Melvin has said some not so gentlemanly things about her. The girl was just joking when she said that stuff to him and moreover she has apologized. Why can't he just accept her apology if he is really so gentle? Abegi!
Personally I believe it's just his pride he's nursing cos he can't fully have Dillish as his babe cos of Steven. Most Nigerians guys are like that. If they can't have a chic, they hate on her.
And that Elikem, he's really taking advantage of the situation....

Smh..... So you think saying you want Melvin to win changes the fact that you said nonsense. So because he is gentle he should be taken for a ride? Nne, check your brain.

People handle things differently. Let him deal with it the best way he knows how. "Forcing" him to make-up with her when his heart is not really in it is DISHONEST. To me I just see him being HONEST with himself. He'd only make up with her when his heart is fully in it. If you deem his move childish then so be it but remember the most honest set of people in the world are children. #just_saying.

safarigirl: who told you Melvin doesn't have an X-factor?

Melvin's X-factor is that he is humble. Africans are surprised that he isn't the stereotypical Nigerian, case-in-point Feza and Annabel who made this same comment.

Melvin makes it difficult for his haters to hate, many have testified, as it stands only Nigerians have anything bad to say about him, others are full of praises.

You say in week 2 a South african said Naija won't win cos their reps won't make it? That's a joke cos that has been said about ALL our reps from Kevin to Melvin, we all know how that ended.

Btw, in week 2, we didn't know squat about anyone to make judgments so that don't count cos everyone thought Hakeem, Nando, Bassey and Pokello could win then, what happened?

Nne biko, nwayo nwayo. It is not a fight inugo? Cool down.

aodis: Infact I remember Elikem norminating Melvin in the 2nd week!

This is a lie. It was Nando that nominated Melvin. Elikem nominated Annabel and Nando.

jejelolatu: i rilly can't understand why my naija peeps are going on and on about Melvin.... Dude is slow . YES! Let's all agree on that.

Now, think/look beyond the obvious. What do UTI, Karen, Ola, Goldie(Rip) , Beverly and Melvin have in common? They aren't the sort of repss that Nigerians/Africans will fall in love with easily.
Right from the audition stage , Multichoice made the game harder for Nigeria.(They don't want us to win again- best believe that )

Everytime i see Melvin , i wonder what he did at the auditions that earned him a spot. Same for Beverrly.
We can critisize Melvin all we want , but the truth of the matter is this ....If Melvin was half as Obnoxious as Uti, crazy like Karen, 'agbero-ish' like Ola or love struck like Goldie he would have been out since week 1.
When you come from a country with three wins in the bag, the odds are never in your favour. Melvins slowness which i wd rather call goodness of heart is what is pulling non-nigerians to him. Not knowing what diaspora means doesn't make you stupid , not recognising that your country has enough enemies and making some more for yourself. Thats STUPIDITY. On that count, Melvin is Wise.

God bless you for this comment. The thing Nigerians watching the show have failed to realise is that our contestants were doomed even before auditions for the show started. Even Melvin and Beverly might have entered the show knowing they had a very slim chance of winning.
Every season Nigeria always brought contestants with a certain X-factor but surprisingly this year, we didn't. I could remember reading a comment on Facebook by a South African, after watching Mel and Bev for two weeks saying, "at least we know Nigeria doesn't stand a chance this year because of the kind of people they brought."

So our housemates making it this far just proves the point I have been driving that, in a game of chance like BBA. We have no control over it. Only God and the universe have the final say.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by lindsay(f): 12:23pm On Aug 09, 2013
Melvin isn't unintelligent. He is just too ignorant. He belongs to those class of people that refuse to learn outside school books. So I'd say he is very IGNORANT.

Plus he seems to have been very sheltered because he isn't street-smart either.
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by lindsay(f): 12:12pm On Aug 09, 2013
You guys should learn from Oneal, no matter how hard you try to change destiny especially in a game of chance like BBA. You'd never succeed. If this was a game of hardwork and dedication, fine. Their fate is in their hands but when they have no control over it. There fate is with God and the universe. So who will win would win.

Ah ah...
Hakeem approached her on day 3 na...
Hakeem heard that Oneal wanted to go 4 Cleo and decided to act fast.
She agreed to be with hakeem by day 4...day 5 hakeem ported to DH.
Owl'neal and Cleo became very close.
But by then she had already started dating Hakeem.
Even when Hakeem begged her to come to DH..she agreed and later told Oneal about it. It didn't take 1 minute for Oneal to make her change her mind and stay at rubies.
If not that during the tym Nando was hoh Diamond house won the arena games..Cleo would never have come to Dh. And hakeem would have continued screaming "Cleo" until he got booted out.

She shouldn't have agreed so fast to Hakeem. Na by force to follow man for BBA? Regardless, she attracts and has horrible taste in men because Oneal is an emotional abuser while Hakeem has the thinking faculties of a foetus.
She needs someone different from those two entirely.

I didn't hear much..but she talked about Oneal (I think she still likes him and she's missing him)
She was saying something to bimp about A and B (Angelo and Beverly). She was using style to warn bimp about bev...she didn't come out straight sha..

She's been talking about Feza all night tho (seems she really really liked Owl'neal).
She needs to get over Oneal.
I'm bored with the gist..I'm done with bba 4 now.

Meanwhile bimp told Cleo that he would have loved to kick it with her.
I wonder what that means...make hakeem no catch am sha.

That is quite a lot, thanks. I just wonder why she'd want to warn Bimp of Bev.

cynt22: U guyz shud knw dat bba is now a region tingy. Serzly if oneal leaves, angelo's votes becomes +1. If cleo leaves dats +2. We all saw 6 SA countries voting sulu. Dats dats exactly wat will happen if only angelo remains. Even namibia myt nt vote 4 our dear melvin if dillish leaves! Feza myt even win dis tin, she already has 3country votes (d only survinvin EA). If bimp leaves, ethiopia myt make it 4, which is jst enof country votes 2 make ha win....I hate oneal actually, dude is an immature idiot. Buh takin him out of d game now will jst make angelo stronger. I'd say dis again, we nid d idiot + cleo 2 break down d Southern african alliance

What would be, would be. If it's Angelo's money...fine. If it is Elikem's ....fine. Melvin's.....fine even Oneal sef......fine (even though I hate him). This season of BBA is one that has taught me a lot. As in a whole, whole lot. All the nice people who have been insulted, back stabbed, plotted against and even insulted have all come out tops. It's like if you never believed in Karma or God, this particular season has shown that it does pay to have a clear mind and be well behaved.

Well, you don't expect others to sit and watch your country win over and over and over again, now do you?

Kslib: ELIKEM WINS THE HEAD OF HOUSE!!!

You see? God and the universe has it's own plans and way of doing things. After all of Oneal and Feza's strategising and wicked prayers. Oneal has lost this particular HOH task for the third time.

TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by lindsay(f): 9:06am On Jul 29, 2013
All these strategising is nonsense especially when it comes to a game of chance like this one because at the end of the day, what will be, would be. When it's yours, it is yours except in situations where you have to work hard for it. That is where you take it by force. Elikem and Sulu both got six votes but because it was Elikem's night to shine, he had a higher percentage. The thing is, if the people we "love" are meant to win, God will create a way for them and if they aren't, there won't be anyway for them.

That is how I see it though.

All these Maria this, Dillish that una don forget say those two girls have boyfriends? Maria is in a relationship because in the house she kept sending shout outs to her boyfriend and Dillish too has Stephen. Why una dey force Dillish and Maria down Melvin throat na? Or do you people want these women to cheat on their boyfriends because of Melvin and then he be labelled a homewrecker. Abeg make una adjust. Maria and Dillish are already people's property. So leave Melvin out of the equation. Also VOTE ELIKEM KUMORDZI THE TAILOR.

He's not a tailor! An educated man that has a flare for fashion is not a tailor. Address him as something better and dignifying.

Apianwa, that is what Elikem calls himself....Elikem Kumordzie the Tailor. Btw what is so uneducated about being a tailor? Do you know that some tailors earn more than a lot of, in your words, "educated people". Nwa, mind yasef.
