Also the way these little girls dresses recently is quite provocative and seductive thanks to too much telenovela and zee world...
Parents should caution their young kids on how they dress, coz not all guy can shut dre dick once they see someone with revealing dress... Teach them our African morals.
Two stories though who should I believe now...?
Hmmmm... Aiye oooo!!!! How often have u seen a very young girl who doesn't go out, suddenly feel free with a man old enough to be her father and start playing with the man's manhood. Car Talk › Re: Traffic Questions For Drivers In The House by lionphil(m): 9:00pm On Aug 07, 2015 |
agabaI23: I have been wondering for a long time why certain things happen on our roads. I have long wanted to create this thread out of my experience and observations of what happen on our roads but somehow, I have not been able till today. My questions are
1. How do you really feel when you deliberately drive against traffic knowing very well that you will obstruct traffic flow on the opposite lane?
Have you tried to check the amount of time you gained by breaking traffic laws?
2. Do you really feel stupid or happy when a lot of motorists are kept at a standstill because of your selfish decision? Do you know that apart from gridlocks resulting from bad spots on the road or police's N50 tolls, most gridlocks result from selfish decisions of people like you who are well dressed and are on long ties.
3. Do you know that when you patiently queue in your right lane that the gridlock clears faster than when you try to cut corners? It is possible that you may escape if you are the first to start the madness but those who follow after you will end up closing up the road. You could be among those trapped on a different day.
4. Are you one of those who drive against traffic in a 4 lane road even when your side of the road is devoid of traffic or roadblocking pothole just because you won't bother to drive up to to a U-turn before you turn to get to where you can branch off the road? You end up flashing your headlamp at on-coming vehicles who are not expecting any intruders in your mould? The funny thing is that most times, the time it will take you to do the right thing would be just less than 2 minutes.
Do we just enjoy breaking laws or we prefer to be chased around? Do not come here to tell me that police do the same. Yes they do the same because they are selected from among us. Do you have to do it because others are doing it? What right do you have to criticize the government when you cannot do little required of you?
Always remember that when we do things right on the road, we save more time than when we do the wrong thing. Always remember that the happiness and 'less stress' you feel in developed countries is because majority of the citizens choose to do the right thing.
When we break traffic laws, we impose stress on ourselves and other road users who will have to adjust to accommodate your careless and selfish conduct.
Oya bring it on
Moderators, I will actually like to hear what many Nigerians think when they drive on our roads The thing dey sweet if na escort van I dey follow for back...James bond things oh. Fender to bumper no time. The last time I did it, I was glad I did oh, the traffic was hell. To add to it, rain fell. |

10. Young NOUN Students are easily turn into destitute. My neighbors that are studying in NOUN, Smoke Weed/Cigarette, Alcohol, Womanize e.t.c till they eventually graduate.
11.NOUN Student are not researchers.

Crime › Re: Bad Security Situation In Owerri. by lionphil(m): 10:57am On Aug 05, 2015 |
imsuboi: As I type this, my heart is heavy.
The security situation in Imo State is getting worse daily. In owerri, we need lots of security personnel.
Cultists & armed robbers are having a swell time.
Lawlessness is the order of the day.
The rate of Tricycle (Keke) robberies has skyrocketed. You can't enter a tricycle (keke maruwa) with a calm mind, you have to be weary of the keke driver & passengers, lest you get robbed & possibly raped. (www.nairaland.com/2394332/those-owerri-beware-tricycle-robberies)
Just last weekend, news filtered around my school that a girl was raped by suspected cultists around the school's back gate area on her way back from night class; another version being circulated is that the rapists had even infected the poor girl with HIV.
You can't go to douglas (eke onuwa) market to purchase food stuff without fear of being robbed or harassed. 6 out of every 10 males that walk past you in that market are thieves - from experience, this is a statistic I've come to accept.
A day doesn't pass by without hearing one bad news or another; be it rape, robbery etc... I could go on & on & on about the messed up security situation, but that's not the purpose of this thread.
This thread is to bring to the notice of every concerned Imo state indigene/resident, your state is being run down by lawlessness.
Its a ticking time bomb. Someone has to step in and curb this menace.
Owerri alone has more than 5 fully functional tertiary institutions. If you have your wards in any of these institutions, warn them to be highly security conscious.
As it stands, its all man for himself. No security whatsoever.
A word is enough for the wise.

Cc: exxell, beremx, tapout, chuksemi, cowleg, lalasticlala. This is so true oh! I've informed those I can that they should avoid Douglas by all means. You only highlighted a few stories There's a cult war going on. Unlike previous ones, this one has lasted for months and the end doesn't seem to be in sight. At school road, a couple of months back, a tailor was murdered, before that a guy was murdered at the main market opposite St Pauls. People get robbed on a daily bases...I SAID ON A DAILY BASIS IN DOUGLAS. If u make the mistake of making a call, someone will grab Ur phone and run as though he is being chased by a Lion. If u make the mistake of running after him, all other valuables on u will be lost. There are so many of them I think 8 out of 10 is a better number. |

So please, should he consider this offer or he should look for a better offer? Though I told him that I'm not really confortable with it, but I still need your advice. He's not working for now though. Please house, I need your advice because he meant to resume last night, but its not late yet. Only 20k and for only the first month?? Some peeps pay more than that before a job is offered and yet still don't get the job. Some peeps will pay more than that upfront just to secure that same job. He has been guaranteed the job already and all he needs to do is pay 20k after starting....I'm not encouraging such acts oh but I think it is a very fair deal. This Ur guy that's complaining sef, how much does he earn in a month without a job. Jobs/Vacancies › Re: An Urgent Decision On A Job Offer by lionphil(m): 10:42am On Jul 30, 2015 |
Anonymous1900: Hello Everyone
Let me start by saying this is not an opportunity to judge or criticize my decisions or lack of it there of. I would also try to be as open and forthcoming as possible regarding all information to help you offer any opinions either from personal experience of inferred ideas.
I already have a direction am inclined to lean towards but its not set in stone and am very much open to ideas from others (I actually welcome it as i like to be thorough and get all the information i can have before making decisions)
I was recently offered a position in Nigeria due to start in a month at the latest however i am currently rounding off a research program in the united states (6 months to finish). The prospective employer will not defer the position till i finish in 6 months time. I had interviews with the vice president of the company when i was in Nigeria last year and a couple of other interviews but i guess due to the instability of the economy (elections and all), the offer never materialized till now. i consider the offer a place to start and while I cant be specific about the exact figure here, its upwards of 250k/month after Tax.
Before you make your decisions based on the offer or my current academic situation, here is a little about me. I have a BSc (Nigeria), MSc (Uk) and MEng (USA).... All in engineering (so i wont consider the figure impressive however its not an entry position and that is my basic pay so there are other benefits). i have paid work experience in the Uk and US and took up an unpaid work experience in an Oil & gas servicing company in Nigeria for about 6 months. needless to say i am well educated but without enough experience in my chosen field and this offer hopes to fill that void.
if you also want to ask why am i not eager to come back to Nigeria? the economy seems fairly unstable now, Iran deal is sure to devastate the oil sector further and destabilize the Nigerian economy even more for those that understand the vicissitudes of the Iran deal. I do have access to getting residency papers in the USA which will coincide with the time i finish my research or a few months after without doing anything shady or sinister (most of my family are here anyway). I am also fully aware that with or without papers, jobs are not automatic any where but you will agree with me that its a little easier abroad than in Nigeria. a good example is the current offer i am considering where i still needed an introduction to setup the interviews and even though i did all the grunt work, i wont have even gotten in the door without knowing someone. The company as a matter of policy does not even advertise positions.
A little about the company: international company with huge investment portfolio in the millions of dollars, where its based should not be important but its on the island. cant reveal more than that about the company.
please let me know what you think or what you would do in my shoes. Also i would be happy to answer any questions that help you offer better advise provided its something i can reveal
Thanks in advance I think it's easier for u to get a good job in Naija with Ur degrees and experience... But getting that residency paper may become more difficult if u let the chance slip by...my take is that after Ur research, find something doing no matter how small while u wait for that residency paper. Once u get it, u are free to make another move towards getting a job in Naija. |
