Travel › Re: Travelling To Turkey To Buy Clothes by LKO(m): 6:27pm On Apr 24, 2019 |
iykbethany: Hi Franky, to be honest Nobody is supposed to tell you how much money to start a business with. Some people started with millions of naira, while some people started with few hundred thousands, it depends on your own financial circumstances.
But if you MUST travel to Asia or even Dubai to import clothing's or shoes you must have at least 1 Million Naira minimum FOR SHOPPING ALONE. If you don't have up to that amount you better buy directly from importers in Lagos or Onitsha. You should think of traveling to Asia to import goods when you are buying things in large quantity to justify the amount of money you are going to spend for visa, air ticket, hotel accommodation etc.
As at today it costs nearly 300,000 naira to fly to any South East Asian country, no thanks to the falling Naira.
Someone phoned me few weeks ago and said he has 700,000 naira can he start, my answer was no. Because flight was about 285,000 Naira on the day i got that call. When you remove 285k from 700k what do you have? Mind you, you are staying in hotel for days or weeks, you will eat, pay taxi fares to warehouses, pay visa fee etc. So am sure from the above explanation you have an idea.
There are many importers in Onitsha you could buy from, they give great discounts. But I am not going to release any of their contacts, if you want to buy from importers go to Onisha main market or Lagos and ask. Why i have refused to share such contacts is this. It is not good to give out other peoples contacts to third parties. And besides when the business and contact is rosy you wont even remember to say thank you. But if something goes wrong tomorrow i might be labelled as an accomplice. So I don't want anything that will stain my name. Very educative. Many thanks. I'm really a novice here and I would be starting clothing and shoes business as soon as possible. Which market in Lagos can I get direct importers to buy from at reasonable wholesale price? Please help. |

socialmediaman: Don’t forget there’s a monthly fee for the meter whether you have electricity or not. If for instance your monthly fee is N500 and your meter runs out 4 months later depending on how you use or how often you get the electricity, when you go to recharge your meter, N2,000 will be deducted automatically from your payment. So if you pay N2,500 you’re only credited N500. You must pay the N2,000 before you recharge. Hope that makes sense... that is, unless the monthly fee has been waived! The Buhari govt has stopped service charge since 2016. I appreciate Fashola for driving the stoppage of service charge, it is fraudulent. I have being using pre paid metre since 2012, it is the best. No useless bills from BEDC at the end of the month, I recharge 5000 naira every month and it serves my compound very well. I recall with pain how I usually pay between 11k to 15k every month when I was using the analog metre. BEDC won't read the metre and they would bring cut throat bill every month when there is hardly light. Pre paid metre is the best. |

patrick2015: Signs of Rising Dampness Typical signs of rising damp rather than other damp problems are a ‘tide line’ of yellowish or brownish staining or blown plaster in the lower area of your wall above your skirting board. You also might have damp or rotting skirting boards or flooring. You may see white, fluffy deposits in your plaster – these are ‘salts’ which the damp has washed out of your bricks and into your plaster. Black spots of mould may also appear on on the damp areas of your wall. If your wall shows any of these signs in the pictures, your wall could be suffering from rising dampness. What then is the solution? |

Bluffly: Truth be told. The emergence of APC at the National helms gave way to the beginning of democracy. When it was majorly about PDP there's no way an opposition party would have been declared a winner at the tribunal. Peoples confidence are coming back an with time a lot of wrongs shall be right as long as the democratic government continues. PDP was in power at the national level when the courts declared Peter Obi of APGA, Osiomole of ACN, Mimiko of Labour Party, Aregbesola of ACN and Fayemi of ACN winners in their various states, thereby sacking those PDP governors in those states. PDP was in power when a peaceful election held that brought Buhari to power. The power drunk Oshiomole, Tinubu, El Rufai, Buhari would not allow that to happen. How old are you? Now, you just said Ogboru will struggle to win Delta central, like are you kidding me? lol, Ogboru will clear Delta central and Have a nice cut from Delta north, his only issue is Delta south, the level of rigging going on there is alarming, "even Satan they learn for there". Mimiko vs Agagu Point of correction please, Olanipekun headed the Yar'Adua team in the 2007 presidential election petition. Buhari team was led by Mike Ahamba SAN from Imo State, a close ally and personal lawyer to Buhari for many years. One would have expected Mike Ahamba to be the present Attorney General and Minister of Justice haven being Buhari's personal lawyer for decades but seems they parted ways when Ahamba couldnt get the CPC governorship ticket in Imo state in 2011. Ogboru would fail woefully. In Feb 23 election, APC struggled to win only one house of reps seat out of ten. PDP won the other nine. Even the APC guy that won the house of rep seat, didn't win because of APC, he won because he is a pastor and most Christians decided to vote him, I m talking of Rev Francis Ejiro Waive. APC also managed to win one senatorial seat in Delta Central, Agege struggled to defeat Oboro of PDP with about twelve thousand votes. It is even believed that Agege votes from Ughelli North and his ward in Orugun were inflated. Okowa would defeat Ogboru. Ogboru would struggle to win in Delta Central but that would not take him far. Make no mistake, the likes of Victor Ochei, Cairo Ojuogboh, I be Kachikwu would support Okowa behind doors, it is believed that Delta North must have their eight years. Before 2023, when it is the turn of Delta Central to produce the next governor, Agege and Ogboru would part ways as Agege would come for him fiercely to pick the governorship ticket of APC and that would be the end of Ogboru, the man is broke, |

Efewestern: Ogboru has a great chance of winning this year, it's still 50/50 sha, we can see that from the last presidential elections and how he delivered thousands of votes to Buhari, a man that is not even loved around.
Our major concern is the level of rigging going on in Delta south, how can riverine communities have more population than cities? how manager was able to pull 200k votes is still a miracle to me.
If ogboru should win, then they should dismantle the level of rigging in Delta South, mostly the once going on in the creek.
Good morning and happy new month bro. Ogboru has zero chance winning this year's election bro. He would garner massive votes in Udu, Ughelli North and some other areas of Delta Central, but he would fail woefully in Delta North and south. Check last Saturday's election, APC struggled to win only one seat out of ten seats for house of reps, and the win came from Udu ughelli federal constituency. I keep telling people that the so called love between Agege and Ogboru would come to an end soonest. Agege in his deepest mind want delta north to have their eight years, he wants Ogboru to fool himself once more. The guy is preparing for 2023 governorship race and Ogboru cannot stand his might by then. A two time senator is no mean feat and he would use all at his disposal to finally retire Ogboru, though he would still not become governor. |

Oshiomole, Ortom et al should use their brain o. I was a PO in Egbeda local govt area of Oyo State during the 2011 presidential election. During counting of result, Buhari's party CPC scored zero vote in my unit, Jonathan won massively and few votes to Nuhu Ribadu of ACN. I quietly asked the CPC agent how come Buhari scored zero and he voted. He laughed and told me God forbid that he should vote Buhari.
