Deep Sight: *Sigh* He still missed the bolded AND underlined words, which were bolded and underlined just to help him. Stop shifting the argument. I made an argument that christians are technically atheists because they are atheists towards other Gods. You called me an illiterate for the argument. Are you taking your words (illiterate) back or is my argument correct? Are christains not atheists towards other Gods? Deep Sight: How does all of this put Israel in Europe?
YOU were the one you said Israel is in Europe. In the thread where you said it, it was glaring you actually thougyt it was in Europe. When other posters corrected you, you tried to duck by saying its "politically" in Europe. Now, I am asking you - what does it mean to be politically in Europe? E.U membership would rank as central, no?
Can you please show me in what respect Israel is in Europe, and exactly why so?
I cant even believe I am having this conversation.
You are a comic.
And I must be a jobless man. First of all, you showed your ignorance about the EU when mentioning Morroco (and it's imaginary EU immigration treaties) and also overstating the significance of EU membership of European countries. Isreal is politically in Europe. Isreal takes part in European champions league and has so many trade agreements with Europe, that it is seen as a politcally in Europe. |

I actually like you Deepsight! You hardly back down from arguments and this makes my intellectual pwnage of you even more worth it. Deep Sight: Please school up.
Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.[1][2] In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist. Atheism is contrasted with theism, which in its most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheism
I never thought the day would come when I would have to post something so elementary.
Upon your arrival on this forum, I warned you to pause, slow down and think before posting. I warned you that unnecessary exuberance will lead to stupidity. These have come to pass.
O, and please, in case you don't get the import of the text in red above, please focus on the underlined and bolded words. I needed to highlight them for you, otherwise they would surely have escaped you. We both know what atheism means. You are trying your best to avoid a fact. Answer the question; Are achristians not atheists towards other Gods like Zeus, Thor, Allah or Shiva? Yes or No Deep Sight: Okay? Such as being a member of the European Union? Is Israel a member of the European Union? That would be politically being in Europe no?
Rather than look to that, you made your argument from the champions league and trade agreements. Do you know how many trade agreements and even immigration agreements Morocco has with Europe? Morocco even once applied to join the E.U. Is Morocco in Europe?
Olodo. Ode. You keep debunking yourself; 1) Russia is not in the European union neither is Turkey or Macedonia 2) Not all European countries are in the EU 3) Morrocans need visa to be in the EU. |

ndi7: Chapter 10: An Atheist in Hell We had not gone much farther before I saw a vast number of tormenting demons. They were continually lashing a large company of wretched souls with knotted whips of ever burning steel. The tormented were roaring out with such loud cries that I thought it might have melted even cruelty itself into some pity. This made me say to one of the tormentors, “Oh, stop your whipping, and do not use such cruelty on those who are your fellow creatures, and whom you probably helped lead to all this misery.” “No,” answered the tormentor very smoothly. “Though we are bad enough, no devil was as bad as them, nor were we guilty of such crimes as they were. We all know there is a God, although we hate Him; but these souls would never admit (until they came here) that there was such a Being.” “Then these,” I said, “were atheists. They are wretched men, and tried to ruin me had not eternal grace prevented it.”
---- Taken from a book written by a christian who nearly became atheist. I beg you in the Name of Jesus Christ, believe in God, repent and give your life to Jesus Christ. Hell doesnt exist. Hell is being used to keep you in christianity. |

Deep Sight: And you are technically illiterate.
You add to the list of your illiterate statements: such as your statement that Israel is in Europe. lolololololololol. Strawman alert. Why are you mentioning Isreal? Why cant you refute the point I made that; christians are atheists towards other Gods like thor , Allah or Zeus? For your information, Isreal is politically in Europe. You wouldnt know that being who you are. A willfully ignorant person |
Christianity Etc › Re: Similarities Between Atheism and Monotheistic Religions (Islam and Christianity) by logicboy01: 10:51am On Jul 06, 2012 |
Deep Sight: Well I score you zero out of a hundred for the simple reason that atheism is defined as a disbelief in the existence of ANY and ALL GODS OR GOD.
As such, any person who believes in any god or GOD at all is not an atheist.
Frankly I had grown accustomed to higher quality posts from you than this one. Epic fail. Christians are technically atheist. Yes such an argument can be made. Christians are naturally theists as they have their own God but they are atheists towards other gods like thor, odin, zeus, allah etc. Think outside the box for once. |

Monjerk: I feel our religious leaders are so silence on the way things are happening in this country. Everybody is busy minding his own business with his followers. I was just thinking in my own opinion the Christian leaders such as Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Pastor Chris Oyak, Pastor Bakare, Prophet T. B. Joshua, Rev Ayorinde, Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, Pastor Chris okotie, Pastor kumuyi, Pastor Muoka lazurus, Bishop David Oyedepo, Rev Anthony Okogie,Pastor Akinola, Pastor Emmanuel Olumide, Rev Uma Ukpai, Cardinal Arinze, Father Mbaka, Pastor T. Odukoya, Pastor S. Ayorinde, Pastor (Mrs) Margaret Idahosa, Father Ede, Pastor sam Adeyemi, Pastor Mike Okonkwo, pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, pastor sam Amaga, Rev. Ezekiel, …… (please lets respect every persons here) and so many others that I cannot remember now suppose to meet and stage a serious prayer together for these country and see if God will not intervene, so also the Moslem brothers, their top and powerful prophet can meet and pray together for this country and see what would happen. But everybody is only facing his congregation, if anything happens, the congregation will scatter also. It’s just my opinion, what do you think? “God forgive me if what am saying is a sin” The religious leaders are much more concerned with making money (tithes/offering) from their members. |

Deep Sight: Jesus Christ. Where did you learn to read? Don't you think you need a refund of school fees from that institution? See this slowpoke! Did you omit the bold part where it supports a flat earth; Deep Sight: School up, guys -
The circle of the earth - Or rather, "above" (על ‛al) the circle of the earth. The word rendered 'circle' (חוּג chûg) denotes "a circle, sphere, or arch"; and is applied to the arch or vault of the heavens, in Proverbs 8:27; Job 22:14. The phrase 'circle,' or 'circuit of the earth,' here seems to be used in the same sense as the phrase orbis terrarum by the Latins; not as denoting a sphere, or not as implying that the earth was a globe, but that it was an extended plain surrounded by oceans and mighty waters. The globular form of the earth was then unknown; and the idea is, that God sat above this extended circuit, or circle; and that the vast earth was beneath his feet.

i dnt really know u , but i belief you have traits your parents are fearful that could lead to reproach. i.e if you grew up always fighting- each time you leave the house -your parents might be afraid that you could get hurt in a fight if you grewup stealing from home- your parents will be afraid you might one day get bursted by cops if you are easily provoked- your parent might be fearful of u killing sum1
so please apply the same reasoning to why Job was afraid of his Children cursing God- he had an idea of their unruly nature; Samson's bane was sleeping with prostitutes in the end, he was destroyed by one- y dont u blame God for allowing satan to destroy/overcome Samson Keep defending murder |

1supremo: You just proved my point
You'll always want some more proofs because of the highlighted phrase above and not because there are no pointers to the truth. Do you have plausible proofs that Jesus' existence was a hoax? 1) The only mention of Jesus is from the scriptures from which we do not know the authors and neither did the authors claim to have met christ; Not only do we not know who wrote them, consider that none of the Gospels existed during the alleged life of Jesus, nor do the unknown authors make the claim to have met an earthly Jesus. Add to this that none of the original gospel manuscripts exist; we only have copies of copies 2) Add to that tat the bible itslef has contradictions and not very good for historical data. 3) Hecules and Jesus have the exact same amount of proof. |

snthesis: how old were the children
Job knew the kind of children he raised and their attitude towards God, that's why he was always fearful of the harm their lifestyles would bring to them. Job 1:5 "And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually" - this verse explains the kind of children he raised and his fear for the directions their lifestyle would lead to.
Job 3:25 "For the thing which I greatly feared has come upon me, and that which I was afraid of has come unto me." - this verse explains how his fears came to pass.
do not attach any sentiments to this at all- take for instance the son of the president kills sum1 in anger- His father can only protect him for abit, but the child will still have to pay the penalty.
a better example: a husband and wife relationship- the hubby knws his wife is a slut, so each time he travels he is always fearful that sum other dude will come and shag is wife. You are really sick. The quote yu put there doesnt say that the children cursed God. Job just thought that. However, there is no justification for murdering Job's family for a test. You would not want the same for your family. |

There are places where several worldviews are parallel, so I wouldn't say all other worldviews are wrong. I'd only say they are right where they overlap the christian worldview. lol.
