D sage: I'm still expecting those stronger atheists to respond to this question.1) the question has been answered 2) you werent the one that asked the question in the 1st place. ![]() |
Yeah kinda, I live in Surrey actually.
And you're acting like a village man! Kai You get small craze |
Ptolomeus: well,Majek fashek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUKODy8u1kw |
Yes I must, if not you will bury us in nonsense and applaud yourself for it Ok I'll let you be for now. I believe you are beginning to realize that atheism is only useful as a personal belief and not much more. So please next time before you go around shouting "debunked!" all over the place, take the time to construct your argument properly. We have nothing much left to argue about. One love man have a fun day. P/S Off topic: in case you live in London, you might want to check this out if you don't know about it already. http://thinkingbobevents.com/events/?ai1ec_cat_ids=3 I have attended a few debates with them myself (though it's been a while I must say) Perhaps one of these days we may just run into each other and spar in person. Who knows? You may also want to check out www.meetup.com and search for debate meetups in your area or other stuff that might interest you.
See this man!So you're in london yourself! |
SimonAndal: _hahaha |
I think everyone can see the inherent sexism that is in mainstream christianity? |
Zediccus: ThorWhy not the seeker or the mother confessor? |
Ok fine, also acknowledge it has a lot of muslims, sikhs, buddhists and hindus as well
You have started again. Why would you mention that? Must you always try to water down my statements? muslims 3% Buddhist 0.2% Hindus 0.95% Sikh 0.57 Atheists - at least 20%.....some estimates put it at 30% or more |
snthesis: Majek is not in the league with FelaFela was not just a rebel. He was inspiring. He was not afraid to sing the truth. Majek Fashed for me was talking about hope. Some of his songs were uplifting. eg send down the rain |
TheShopKeeper: There is no need for you to be evangelistic about it, if you have read the bible, it has been prophesied that during the last days, "the love of many shall wax cold". So I won't be suprise if people start turning their back to the things of God.What a fake prophecy! When the bible was written, the world was majorly non-christian. Even today, only 1/3rd of the world is christian. The prophecy was just stating the obvious. |
No it is not atheistic it is simply secular. The state does not officially recognize atheism. I'll give you another link. Here you go http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_atheism
I meant that it has a lot of atheists |
The UK is sha listed as an ambigous state because of the Queen as the head of the church of England. By other means, it is secular and very atheistic. |
Perhaps you may want to read that list again, you'll notice that the United Kingdom is also not listed as a secular country on that link
Kai, I don feck up! |
scopusng: All the deluded atheists answer this simple question and stop hiding. Fooolsss ![]() How very christian of you to call people fools. ![]() |

mctemmy: @logic pls can u kindly give an example of a template of an athesist taking oath in court?I, Mr. King, promise to tell the truth and nothing but the truth. |
Actually there have been atheist states e.g. Communist Russia and China under Chairman Mao If that is your definition of a secular country, then Nigeria is a secular country. Church and state are separate here. Here's a link just so you get a basic idea of what a secular a country is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secular_state
See this guy! Read your own link- Nigeria is not listed as a secular country there in the list; http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100804173933AAsmpxD You are confusing a communist state for an atheist state. Communism is a state religion on its own merit Am I just too much for you? |
mctemmy: Fine we knw dey don't believe in God so don't they take oath in court??christians swear by God and muslims by allah!.....so do atheists swear by logic or science or whatever For at least 20 or 30 years, courts have accepted the concept of a secular oath against perjury.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100804173933AAsmpxD ![]() |
Fr0sbel: Yes he did and yet he also said to preach the gospel to the 4 corners of the world. No doubt. But he put Isrealites before others. Did he care more about Isrealites? He could have gone to Sub saharan Africa to tell them to spread the gospel to the whole world. Why did he choose Isreal? This was one of the first questions that led me to atheism. |
Fr0sbel: Oh, how foolish are those men who corrupt the simplicity of the Gospel, and place heavy burdens upon sinners, grievous to be borne. Calvinism teaches that God chooses who will and won't be saved. Consequently, Calvinism also teaches that Jesus only died for the "chosen" few. How absurd!Erm. Didnt Jesus say that he came for the lost sheep of Isreal? |
Lol, you have to properly define a secular country and then compare nigeria to that definition then perhaps I will take you seriously. Perhaps you may want to start by telling us Nigeria's official religion. What you seem to me to be rooting for is an atheist state and as I said it is different from a secular state.
There is no such thing as an "atheist state". Secular country = separation of church and state |
What would you do if your pastor that has been comforting you with messages of God becomes an atheist? What would you do? www.nairaland.com/attachments/736069_Apostate_jpg518280796afc54376c1604ef2de99516 |
Yep. Even though I am an atheist I believe Majek Fashek and Fela were prophets. The used their music to tell stories about the problems of the motherland. These musicians have more truth in a rhyme that any pastor/priest has in a years worth of sermons |
And Nigeria is a secular country already so what's the point of your argument really?
Sharaap. Nigeria is not secular. Furthermore, secularism is only a prerequisite and not a gurantee for development |
Ayomivic: I think you are right, that was a bitter truth, you are satanist indeed.I wouldnt allow my children to practice inbreeding. So your forefathers were satanic? See this guy! I am not a satanist. I dont even believe that he exists |
Atheism will reduce religious crime yes because it will reduce religion in general however it doesn't gaurantee that crime in itself will be reduced in any way. the real problem is crime and not the adjective "religious". Do you get it now?
Atheism is not a magical solution. I only put what it could solve. Furthermore, secularism is a prerequisite for any developed country. Check and see for yourself |
I doubt it. It takes a certain kind of person to have doubts. Most people would probably accept the information and add it along with their religious beliefs. There are many Christians who accept evolution and belive God created the world through evolution. To have doubts you need to be bold, open minded, strong willed to mention a few traits.
Well, you are probably right. For me, it was the internet that converted me! |
musKeeto: Lmao.Cool. |
Uyi Iredia: I'm beginning to see more of frosbel in logicboy. Who agrees with me ?I can take any insult BUT NEVER CALL ME FROSBEL! GOD FORBID! ![]() |
Silly chap, I doubt you understand the true meaning of "debunked" at all, it's just a word you like to throw around. You haven't really established any points plus your logic is faulty and filled with blind fanaticism. Yes but all atheism can reduce is religion not necessarily the crimes themselves. This I have pointed out to you but you have ignored. I never said sharia law was secular all I said is that sharia law can exist within a secular society as applicable to a subset of that society but it must still be subject to state law. Of course we shouldn't but that doesn't mean I'll let you get away with half-baked statements. again with your favorite word "debunking". I feel for frosbel and olaadegbu because they will have to endure you.
Calm down Mr Anony. I did not make half baked statements. My points still remain. Atheism will reduce religious crimes eg tithe fraud and torturing children accused of witchcraft. Please feel free to mention my half backed statements. You're feeling confident because I was not willing to debate on some of the trivial points I raised? Oya, let's start. |
Atheists dont swear to anybody. A liar will lie even with the oath to God. We just make the same oath and leave out the God part. |
