Romance / Some Girls, Big-big Talks And So Much Love For Money by lokito: 2:36pm On May 04, 2016 |
I saw myself sitting in the midst of three girls (corpers) and two guys in a fast food galleria. Initially we were having a healthy conversation at random. From politics (Buhari, Lai Mohammed, Saraki and co) to music (Tiwa Savage and the Cocaine man) to Football to even marriage. Marriage: Next thing the girls said never will they think of dating/marrying a poor or jobless man. Never!!! Even if he's uglier than a baboon as long as the money is there. I and my niggas started feeling uncomfortable. The bluntness and the protracted emphasis on wealth could send cold shivers down the spine. I could sense that three of us started thinking about our bank accounts 'cos there was a little moment of silence. They kept muttering gibberish, calling names like Otedola', Ayiri, Ifeanyi Uba. Houses they have seen, swimming pools in their guys' house in Abuja etc. "They wan fall our hanz but God no dey sleep" My phone rang, it was my secretary. I excused myself. She said one of our clients just brought N150k cash for some materials she supplied in the morning. "Better, bring the money to so so so place" then I planned something with her. Thirty minutes later, the gold diggers were still giving us "big big talks". Secretary walks in, greets everybody and hands over N150k to me. Somehow I carefully swerve the money in front of the girls and then says to my Secretary "oh N150k is too small for me to groove Owerri this night na. Today is Ladies' night" My friends coding the prank says "No na chicken change" Secretary: Sir, manage it, is it not just for a night. Look for a cheap hotel of like 50k. My friends: (shouts) God forbid. A whole LOKITO? Go back and get his ATM card ojere. Like magic these girls started talking to me like a Boss. No name wey dem no call me. Chair, boss, Oga etc. my friends come be like house boys. Hehehehe. Funny enough I made sure that Five Naira didn't go out from that N150k. Na big-big talk we use end that day even their drinks they paid with their own money. |

Politics / I Predicted That Buhari's China Deals Will Drop The US Dollars by lokito: 7:46am On Apr 18, 2016 |
The federal government’s plan to increase the availability of renminbi (Yuan) was already favouring the Naira against the dollar, the President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria, Mr Aminu Gwadabe has said. Gwadabe said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) weekend in Abuja that since the announcement, the naira had appreciated by N10 against the dollar. NAN recalls that as a way to resuscitate the current currency slump in Nigeria, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd and the Central Bank of Nigeria signed a deal on Yuan transactions. The deal meant the Yuan will flow freely around Nigerian banks and will even be included in the country’s foreign exchange reserves. Since 2014 when Yuan was recognised as a likely global reserve currency, Ghana, South Africa and Zimbabwe have integrated the currency into their financial markets. Gwadabe said the dollar was now changing for N310 as against the former rate of N320 and predicted that once the policy is in force, the price of dollar will continue to fall. “This new policy will help the informal payment sector. You know more than 50 per cent of foreign businesses in Nigeria is with China. “Before now, Nigerians doing business in China have to change their money to dollar, then from dollar to Yuan. ” “You can all testify to the number of made in China things in the country. So if small and large businesses can convert straight to Yuan, it’s better. “Also we are hearing that the Yuan will not only be available in the Banks but in the BDC segment as well. “It will mean more business for us because most African countries will come to Nigeria to source for Yuan and we are excited about this development and we welcome it,” he said. He urged the CBN to monitor the development closely for effective implementation of the policy. http://leadership.ng/news/519107/yuan-deal-forces-dollar-retreat 1 Like |

Politics / Imo State: Rochas Leads 100 People To Turkey - This Is Shameful IMO by lokito: 3:58am On Sep 12, 2015 |
Presently, in Imo State, Nigeria, the salaries of civil servants are yet to be paid. How do you relate to what Governor Rochas Okorocha is doing? I am from Imo State and I am asking, Who will call this man to order? Or do we just fold our hands and watch. 100 people paid for by the government on a three days industrialization trip to Turkey. Are there no industries in Onitsha, Aba, Ogun, Lagos that we can learn a thing or two from? If you must go to Turkey, isn't 100 persons too much for a state that owes so much in Salaries? Well I guess it's change!!! http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/2015/09/okorocha-leads-another-100-man-delegation-to-turkey/#.VfKYZf2vTZc.facebook 1 Like 1 Share |
