jfkenny.:For how long now? How loud is this noise? What time of the day does this "noise in your stomach" come? Or does it occur at all times? Are these "noises" associated with food or bowel habits? If yes, what kind of food. Have you had any relief from the "noises" before? If yes, what relieved you. Do you have an associated nausea or vomitting, loss of appetite, change in bowel habits ? |
Raphwise: Pls I need ur fb id asap to discuss crucial matters. Thanks alotYou have mail. |
vicksbaba: dat reminds me So Harvard Medical school is a private institution ...and dey are ranked best in the world..... how interesting.... Most of the stellar medical institutions in the United States are private. From Havard to Yale to John Hopkins to Emory to Jefferson to Howard...I could go on and on. I believe in privatization of medical tutelage and healthcare in general. It ensures efficiency and people study, work and provide service at maximum capacity. And you take home according to your focus(in the long run). In Nigeria, everybody is(wants to be) oga. Cos na government matter. We still have a long way to go. But we'll get there. |
ninja4life: Hi allHi ninja. when do you fly? ![]() |
Archildao: I don't think i'd like a doctor as a spouse.I have a couple of them as clients... they are just too obsessed with their job. I'd like my man to create time for the family. It's not obsession. Doctors have a delicate job on their hands. Premium is placed on human life than other things. And back here in Nigeria, we don't have too many of them to go around. Hence, the need to work harder. ![]() But the ladies still love them. And those that claim to be. ![]() |
Doclight: pls can i add u on fb? I wanna ask u alotYou have mail. |
Doclight: just one more thin. Is that ur state of origin. Thanks againYup. Bread and buttered here. |
Doclight: dr lomax pls which uni r u inUniversity Of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. |
infolekan: But the average doctor has proven over and over again that they're well trained and have kept up the good make if the profession even in this decadent society called nigeria. You bothered to give him attention. That's so modest of you. ![]() People will always yap what they like to become relevant. We know who's more relevant, don't we? ![]() That's question for another thread. ![]() For now, it's doctors and the ladies. ![]() |
deols: I will rather have them apoptotic while the doctors do the phagocytosis ![]() This is wicked! |
If you wanna babble on the competence of Nigerian doctors, please create a thread for that. Those with time on their hands to troll on the subject will engage your impotent minds. ![]() But for now... It's about doctors and the ladies. ![]() Please don't spoil the fun. ![]() |
Funny thread here. Anywhere "doctor" is mentioned on NairaLand, you notice a familiar inflammatory response by a set of phagocytic nairalanders. [who have sworn blood-oaths(literally) to despise the profession]. ![]() But who cares? :/ The topic was about women and doctors- some of una dey here dey yan pata-pata. I live in an estate with variety of health professionals(doctors, laboratory scientists, pharmacists etc).... and I enjoy a good relationship with most of them. But over here, everybody claims to be a doctor. ![]() Anything for the ladies ![]() |

OP, this is 2013. |
What's CTVV when we're still struggling with basic foundational infrastructure? We're still "teething" man. Since 1960...still "teething" |
What business do you intend to do? You must have had something in mind. |
I concur with the people that opine that you should put it in writing. Don't forget to stress the fact that your friendship is important to you. It's difficult...but you have to do it. What must be done must be done. |
vincvin: hello "fresh graduate"His point was made and well understood. No need for the sarcastic razzmatazz. ![]() |
RIP |
charleymed: haha. That's because you haven't tried GOSKOLOMYCIN yet....Lmao... You need a brain CT scan ![]() Goskolomycin indeed. ![]() |
charleymed: lol. I think a bottle of Goskolo(local gin) will do....I was here thinking Alomomycin was the way. ![]() |
Charlymed what have you been ![]() I need to recommend it to some folks in the Politics section. ![]() |
charleymed: I beleive that schools are just there to bring out the best in you, your success in life is not proportional to the school you attend,Quote of the day |
aliandro: With the look of d medical sector in Nigeria, many medical studentz are planning 2 move overseas.I have seen residents who wrote the steps while doing residency here. Even some of your consultants, at some point in their career wished they moved out when they were quite primordial in the profession. Everybody has his/her own reason of wanting to do residency outside. For me, I'm not planning to migrate. My area of focus is still very infantile in Nigeria that local training is considered substandard. And it may not work out as planned. There's always that possibility. So it's advisable to have plan B. For me, there's plan B and C and D and even E. MBBS cannot waste. |
Amb Fitsaint: Perfect!Nigerian medical undergraduates are still writing usmle. I have a friend at ABU who wrote it earlier this year. He had a good score but be still felt he could have done better. For an IMG applying for residency in US, step 1 scores are very important. You have just one chance to make a shot (at least that's how I see it). So if along the line, your school calendar will give you time, go for it. If not, do your electives there and write the steps after grad. |
charleymed: Dr lomaxx, thanks for this insightful post. I think USCE is the surest way to getting strong letters of recommendation.Definitely. So just zero your mind on final year electives in the US. God will help us all. |
